Went in to get a tune up, and for them to check on my sway bars for a clunking noise i had been experiencing. nothing wrong with the car to begin with just wanted to get a maintence check. told me price beforehand without saying he wasnt going to fix the clunking noise just find out what it was and charge me $200 more dollars to fix it. ended up charging me $640 just to change the spark plugs and do a diagnostics test. what a RIP OFF
The guys are honest and have the work done when they say they will. We will definitely tell others about this place.
At first this place was up to par but after doing my car repairs i ask a question i was told they knew what they where doing and if i didnt think they did why would i come to them to get my car worked on.
Unprofessional, didnt seem to care if the vehicle got repaired. Willing to sponge you of money though.

I try to make a public comment when business people go above and beyond for us. There is no question too specific or request too minor for this Brickyard location. Bob and Ernest help with everything from ideas for the van to local places to check out. They are very learned in automotive matters, but take time to exchange pleasantries as well. We felt the prices were almost shockingly reasonable, and they are willing to make arrangements as best fit the schedule of their patron. Given a blowout and a diachronic problem with our van from when we purchased it, they have made our lives markedly more pleasant.

Went to have my drivers window regulator repaired with my part. Malfunctioned part returned next door to auto zone. Made a deal with Sal for him to put my old window regulator back on and I would return tomorrow at 8a with another part that was not malfunctioned so that it could be repaired. Sal agreed. Minutes later Sal returned and informed me that my part was now problematic and there was no way for him replace my regulator without breaking the motor. He priced a regulator wuth a motor from OReillys at a price of $97. I agreed to that price along with that cost of labor at $120. Service performed. The manager on duty at 3p on 9/16/19 then gave me a total of $359.57. I asked for him to itemize and he would not. He then began processing my card without looking at me any further or acknowledging my concerns. There should not be a part difference of 124.65 when the part was $97 from OReillys and when Sal did not give that price to me when asked of the cost prior to service. I am now going to OReillys (1.1 miles down the road) to see what that cost would be if I purchased it upon walk in. I will never do business with these crooks again. Service is not best dealt with everyone. Save your money for honest business.Update @423p went to OReillys to price check. The price for a drivers window regulator was $131.99 for a lay person (for a mechanic it was $97) so I was charged a $7.34 fee. I then tested my serviced vehicle and it worked but when the window came back up the window was off centered from the car frame. (Picture attached). I am now back at the shop to get completed service.What have I learned: purchase my window regulator ($47) & window motor ($55) from auto zone. This will save you $119.65 when you go to mechanic crooks like Brickyard Automotive Repair & Service @Griffin.
Had a/c compressor replaced on my vehicle and my girlfriend’s vehicle the same week last year. They stopped working multiple times after that and we returned both vehicles multiple times (Hers twice and mine 4/5 times). Still didn’t fix the issues on hers. Had to take them elsewhere to resolve underlying issues from compressor installs that caused serpentine belt tensioner to break as well as the serpentine belt.
Went here for a simple oil change. While changing my oil the attendant tells me I need a new air filter (since I’m just passing through I decide to hold off from purchasing one...plus I’m mindful that mechanics like to get over on women.) Few weeks later im back in my hometown and I get my regular mechanic to replace my air filter...and to my surprise he informs me there isn’t an air filter in there at all!!! I’m just lucky that I didn’t procrastinate on getting my filter changed because riding around with no filter is far worse then driving around with a dirty one.
PLEASE READ!!!! If your reading these reviews your probably looking for a mechanic and your wanting a mechanic you can trust. They are few and far between I can attest to that. Look no more. I was referred to these guys by my sister who had just moved from NJ and needed car repairs. Keep in mind I was living in Griffin for years getting screwed by mechanics over and over. Then I found Bob! He is awesome. All the mechanics are. Now when I need car repairs I come here. Affordable and excellent service. Thanks guys for your customer service.

Super friendly staff. They will match price from anywhere except online. They serviced my 1997 Hinda Civic and now I take my 2007 Suzuki Forenza to them. They have a nice relaxing lounge for you to sit in while you wait. Very honest work and its guaranteed to be done right the first time. You pay for quality not quantity.
Very dissatisfied with performance. Bought new engine. Three weeks to get it in. Still not right and they dont know what is wrong. Busted heater coil replacedbut it leaked again afterwards. In the process my glovebox was broken and the dash was damaged. Now the dash lights flicker when I hit a bump. Grounding strapes where not reattached when they put the dash back together. Very sloppy.
I cant say how honest the owners are! My family and I were stranded with major issues and after a series of tests and work done he fixed our truck and didnt charge us an arm and a leg. I can say If I could drive down here to have him be my mechanic I would everytime I had an issue. Many blessings to him, his workers and his business! Best of luck to you always!
My parents have a GMC which if anyone knows about the motors theyre JUNK they have major issues with active fuel management. Well we started having trouble on our way to Indiana from Florida, we stopped to see family here in Griffin, my mom ended up in the hospital my Dad took the truck to the business, the owners helped us out by not only staying late after hours but they fixed our truck and gave us a good deal! My parents literally cried about how nice the owner was. The saying is true about southern hospitality. I wish for major success for the group of people that work here. Blessings to you all!

I would never bring my car to Brickyard Transmission ever. They sell you a product that they cant back up and that will not last. You are better off at the dealer. I had my transmission in and out 4 times and still not fixed and sits there in there lot. I have to take it to the dealer now to get another one put in. I made an appointment a ahead of time rented a truck while hoping this was going to be the last time . Well 3 weeks later the truck was test driven at the end of week 2 and I was just told they will not be fixing my truck now at week 3. I called the shop phone numerous times with no answer over the 3 weeks you get a voice recorder of some lady that does not even work there. Its not even a professional recording it sounds like a personal phone. The employee from there own words was not paid from owner so he left work and thats why I was not called back nor any one answered the phone. How do you run any business and not answer your company line. The employee also stated they just remove and install transmissions. The place that they get these horrific rebuilt service from is called Powertrain solutions in Fairburn Ga. They dont stand behind there work or there word! The services of oil change and other services besides transmissions is what this shop does so why advertise you do transmissions. I give Brickyard and Powertrain Solutions a F and a Zero for a rating and do not recommend them for a thing.

Great owner. We got there on a Saturday close to closing and the owner stay until late to help us go on our vacation.
They are flying an American flag on the sign out front. The flag is torn, faded, and only barely hanging by one corner. I asked them to remove and or replace the flag. It has been about 5 days and the flag is still there. There ARE laws that govern how the American flag is supposed to be flown. Please abide by them and replace the flag.

The owner does not know what a business is about. The mechanics, especially the bald black guy does not know what he Is doing. They tell you one thing and do another. They took burnt transmission fluid back into my car, then added a new part in the transmission that I didnt need. Im suing.
