Chill coffee spot. The snickerdoodle cookie was great and so is the espresso. Priced really well as I paid less than $4. A big menu to choose from with lots of merchandise to buy. Good spot to have some coffee and a book.

Excellent service and nice breakfast/lunch sandwiches to pair with the flavorful coffees. They have vegetarian options too! Well worth a leisurely walk downtown.

Got an Oakheart (a Houjicha green tea latte made with housemade oak syrup) and it was perfect! I added one sweetener, but I think it would be fine without sweetener honestly. Its also worth noting that they do a good variety of drinks on their menu, and a fair portion of those use syrups made in-house, such as the oak syrup). I also got a matcha snickerdoodle cookie and it was amazing! I ate it within 10 minutes.Ive only visited them twice, but I think theyre one of my favorites already. Wonderful product and wonderful staff!!

A pleasant find on the main drag of Griffith. Unfortunately the region doesnt seem to have a lot of independently owned coffee shops, Im glad to have come across this one. The prices were super affordable and the quality was great! The atmosphere was great for getting some work done away from home.

Yummy! I LOVE that this place has oatmilk, and other vegan/vegetarian options. Ordered an oat milk latte, chocolate chip banana scone, and a vegan “chicken salad” sandwich (it was made with chick peas). Everything was so good!

I went in just to get their delicious chocolate chip cookies (because its my one day off and I deserve it) and decided to treat myself. I tried their new chocolate raspberry latte Pretty Lady. There was very little wait which I spent looking at merch, reading the window flyers and the menu. The latte is delicious and not too sweet or overpowered. The staff was friendly (as usual) and The Smiths were playing over the speakers. Very pleasant start to my day.

Some rate it the best coffee shop in NWI. Others contend it’s the best lunch spot in the region. A few walk in and scream “Where am I?!” before being dragged about by men in suits. I hail her as the mothership: a third wave shop with a second wave flair. I truly have never had a bad anything here. When I travel home from out of town I come HERE first; relatives protest to no avail. Tears are shed, but such is life. Take a deep breath and another sip of coffee.Here is a haiku apropos of nothing:I order, reorder,order again, and thenthe coffee blooms.

Excellent latte. Not sure about the coffee though. They were out when I stopped in, and I couldn’t wait the five minutes to brew more. To their credit, they quickly put together a delicious latte as a substitute.Bonus on the decorations. I’ve included a photo of my favorite piece of eye candy.

This a great little coffee shop in Griffith, IN. The staff are very friendly and helpful with making selections. The owners are also super friendly with their customers. It is obvious they care about their coffee and offer high quality beans for your brew. In addition to the normal coffee and tea selections, they also offer a great selection of breakfast and llunch/dinner options. The sandwiches are not you typical boringsandwiches, but packed with flavor and unique combinations. I love this place and if you stop in, Im sure you will too!

Recently, my experience in this cafe has been horrible.Unsure why the wannabe hipsters working there feel the need to be rude towards customers. They always have an attitude and make my friends and I feel like a burden to them. Regardless, the food and drinks are delicious, but the service is gross

I enjoyed it, but my husband said it was a bit too hippy for him. I ordered the Winter is Coming green latte. I loved it so much, that I ordered another one the very next day. The sandwich was delicious as well. I would definitely come back and order more. Great local spot.

Went here for the first time had a very uncomfortable feeling. The female that was taking orders from people in front of me just stepped away when I stepped up. Also wouldnt wait on me at all. So another person looked at her and he just waited on me. Dont know if it was just me but dont think I wanna return back.

Basically kicked out (with a pompous attitude) after buying our coffee. No signs or anything, notifying customers the interior was closed. But not a problem, I just won’t return !!The latte was tasteless also.

Best cafe in the area. They are amazing baristas, artists, and all around people. Their drinks are cleverly named with hand drawn designs in their menu and Ive never regretted one I chose. The food is really amazing too. The place is also decked out with pop culture memorabilia and their merch is always being updated.

So the ambiance here was cool though probably not my first preference personally,, kind of a niche thing. And then....and then I had a bite. Wow, I mean, that sandwich was to die for. Husband got something totally different and said it was the best he has had in a long time! Seriously good! Will be back!

Grindhouse Cafe has excellent coffee. They also have good prices that are a lot cheaper than Starbucks and the coffee is just as good if not better. They have great sandwiches at good prices and have outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. The employees are friendly and helpful. Griffith is a growing community and its nice to see a small business making a great go of it. Keep up the good work. Dont forget to shop local!

Ive never had a bad drink here. Lattes are delicious. The cranberry oat scones are phenomenal. They also have very interesting and unique coffee beans for sale. This is a wonderful little coffee shop.

Good to have coffee house in Griffith. Also at the end of bike trail from Crown Point if you want to ride from Starbucks CP to Grindhouse, Griffith and back. Dropped in to connect to fix emergency at work. Had coffee and scone. All good. Fast service.

I dont always get a chance to go there but I love their coffee drinks when I do go there. This last time I tried the Chicken Salad Sandwich and it was definitely made better than I would have ever expected! They went above and beyond hand crafting this delicious sandwich!

This cafe has a really nice atmosphere. I appreciate that they use real plates and cups when you dine in. Most importantly, the latte I had (South Side Parade - Irish cream) was delicious. I definitely plan on returning.Edit: I have returned and can confirm that the iced coffee and scones are also delicious. This place seriously has some of the best coffee drinks Ive had.

I love the atmosphere of Grindhouse. If you enjoy coffee or tea, this is the place to visit. They have unique tea latte creations and carry Metropolis coffee from Chicago among other premium coffee brands.

The most charming, hip, delicious and delightful cafe in the region. Grindhouse serves terrific coffee, delicious sandwiches, and absolutely scrumptious pastries (apologies for the word scrumptious but theres really no better way to describe those scones.) Every time I have been the service has been top notch and the decor manages to set an hip but also very welcoming vibe. Cant recommend it enough!

Im a college student who subsists on Starbucks. Every time Im back home, I make sure to come here and remind myself what I could coffee shop shop tastes and feels like. Excellent place for a beverage, along with a great place to talk to people and get work done.

I have eaten most things on their menu, and I love this cafe. The tea is well brewed. The coffee of good, never burnt, and the food is delicious. I recommend Salad #2, because the balsamic vinegarette is uniquely delicious!Update: I still go here every time Im in town. My favorite salad is now the only salad, and I enjoy their wrap for breakfast. I always have fun trying their inventive tea lattes.

I love this coffee shop! It is hit or miss with getting a great latte. They have some of the best baristas ever, but sometimes my coffee gets a little burned, but I still give a 5 star rating because it’s good quality and their pastries have to be made with 100% love! I stop in for just a chocolate chip cookie sometimes. Their sandwiches are amazing! Great flavor, taste, and are unique! I’m so glad this little gem is in Griffith!

Great coffee, helpful staff, tasty food, long wait time. I would love to give a 5 star review, but each time I have gone the wait is unnaturally long. Sometimes I wait in line, sometimes I do not, but either way I end up waiting for at least 10 minutes. I have noticed serve customers out of order leaving some waiting longer than necessary, while others are served immediately even if they were last in line.

Husband and I are obsessed. The one and only thing I get is the Tickle a Sleeping Dragon matcha latte with either flavored syrup. Favorite step: lavender, orange/ cinnamon and hazelnut.I get my drink at 745 am and its not even a10 minute wait when its early. Vegan breakfast burrito is amazing.

Polite and helpful staff, but the pastries are always dry, esp for what I was paying!! I gave them several chances, bought them for family members as gifts. Tasteless and crumbly. The plain coffee is too much of a floral type. It stunk my whole car up like grass and flowers it was very odd. I just wanted a nice smoky or hardy flavor bean. Sorry, but I wont be returning .

Wasnt exactly service with a smile but that comes with being in Indiana I think . The coffee was good but the mocha was lacking sweetness. I also wish they offered soy milk but its kind of cool that they offer oat milk.Update : better service today but gave me the wrong milk in my drink so I was a little disappointed I couldnt improve my initial review but still a place I would go to again
