Left incredibly happy ! i really wanted these bagels and drove like 20 miles sat in so much traffic ..95 north on the weekend is no joke :( the bagels weren’t out so i asked for a manager. i typically don’t BUT i needed the bagels so bad i was gonna cry honestly..they’re that good ! the cashier went and got the manager mike who i think came out on his break and found a whole case of them. really made my day and i appreciate that so much ! oh and the peaches and nectarines i got we’re phenomenal. thanks !

Id like to give a big thank you to Fresh Market for putting together a truly outstanding Thanksgiving Dinner for 2. With leftovers for a week+. It made it so easy. Well done!

I bought a fruit tart cake for 18 dollars. It was delicious. I bought the same looking fruit tart cake at S and S and saved 10 bucks . It tasted horrible. You can taste and feel (down to your cells) the better ingredients from fresh market bakery products.

Terrific place! First time there and I was so pleased.

I didn’t expect a fresh roasted chicken, but my Roasted Butter Garlic Thyme Chicken tasted like soap. It’s not the 1st time I’ve been disappointed with this Fresh Market.

Very much an organic -- healthier product store. A bit pricey for average person. But you always pay more for organic products. Tasty food though!

Very expensive! Not all product are organic. I definitely cant justify spending double on items I can find elsewhere. Staff were not friendly, checking out I didnt get as much as a hello, and didnt tell me my total. Im all for a healthy lifestyle and organic food but I will find it elsewhere and most definitely will not be back.

Fresh Market caters to discerning shoppers who want a wide variety of top quality foods and superb service. They also offer beautiful flowers, take out foods and lots of snacks. Everything they sell is perfectly delicious but on the expensive side, for sure. Its a shopping experience and a real treat.

Went in today on 1/2/2021. The man at the cash register was so polite and was working so hard! He had a full line of customers and was doing his best. The girl at the cash register behind him along with another coworker who was at her register, kept staring at all the customers and had no one in their line. Don’t you think they could’ve said “we could take people in this line”, instead of just staring. They should’ve helped the hardworking gentleman out. Laziness and rudeness at its finest.

I gave 4 stars for overall experience, but not 5 because I had purchased a pot pie which looked so yummy, but when I got it home and heated it up to eat, was the most god awful pot pie I had ever had. I wish I lived closer so I could go back and get my money back. Get a new recipe for your pot pie, this one was all oil beneath the beautiful crust topping!

Mike, the manager of the Guilford Fresh Market, is the most amazing and caring person you will ever meet in retail.My wife wanted to have a special dinner for her father who has stage four cancer and so she called Fresh Market and spoke to someone in the meat department about preparing shish kebabs without mushrooms because he had a problem digesting them. The employee had an attitude and actually refused to prepare shish kebabs without mushrooms (these were not prepackaged as they’re made to order).My wife is very upset as we often shop there. She went to the store very upset and then she met an assistant manager and finally Mike. He apologized, commiserated with my wife as he that had someone close to him he lost to cancer. He went out of his way to get the shish kebabs made quickly, wanted my wife to take them for free, which she would not, but he finally agreed to let her pay for part of the order. Then he went out of his way to carry her packages to her car.; continuing to apologize throughout..Fresh Market has two loyal customers for as long as Mike is the manager of that Guilford store. Thank God there is still such caring and helpful souls in the retail world.

Love love love this store! Clean, so very clean! Staff is amazing! Everything to fresh and wonderful! I wish there were more around. This is the store all other grocery stores should aspire to.

Lots of choices for health foods here. You can find lots of stuff you wont find in a regular supermarket

Beautiful store and the staff is usually pretty nice with an exception of the women at the bakery who looks mad and speaks to you in a rude manner as if you’re bothering her. A little customer service goes a long way, definitely won’t be buying anything from the bakery again.

Visited this store as an instacart shopper and every experience has been horrible. The staff are EXTREMELY unfriendly. Whenever I asked for assistance they acted as if it was bothering them to help.

Love EVERYTHING about Fresh Market. I was first introduced to Fresh Market in Lake Mary Florida. I was very happy that they decided to open in CT. I moved back to CT 5 years ago and I am very happy to be able to shop at Fresh Market! Great produce..deli...prepared foods..bakery etc etc. I could go on. Wonderful place!

They have a big selection of meat chicken and seafood on the expensive side but a lot of options as for produce typical produce again overpriced in my opinion nothing special if youre on a budget dont shop there if youre not by all means enjoy your shopping.

Good experience. I love the layout and open feel of the store. The cashier didnt card me for my alcohol though, can’t imagine that’s encouraged.

There is a wide variety of unique and high quality food items. The roasted chicken dinner for $15 with a ton of large sides is an awesome deal, and the food is excellent. The prices are reasonable for the products they sell, and the staff is friendly. The reason I gave it 2 stars is because the store itself is not well-run or well-designed. The chicken dinner area that I love, has no space to form an orderly line, which would be fine if they had a method for figuring out who is up next to order, but they don’t, so it often causes confusion for both the workers and the people waiting. They should add a “take a number” dispenser. They also seem to run out of sides often, and even some flavors of chicken. This happened most recently on a Friday night at 6pm, which should be the most popular time to pick up a ready-made meal, meaning they should plan ahead better. The checkout area is the worst design I have ever experienced. The registers are hidden in a tiny area with barely enough room to stand, behind big walls. They have no indication of which registers are open, and since you can’t see the register until you get past the big walls, it’s common to have one line with 5 people in it and another with none because it’s basically just guesswork as to which registers are open until you get to them. I also spent over 10 minutes in line the other day even though the store was almost empty, just because the setup was so inefficient. As much as I like the items they have, it’s too much of hassle and I’d recommend going elsewhere.

Only local place too find Graeters ice cream, which is reason enough to give them 5 ⭐s . Plus, I had the best freshly made Panini that Ive had in ages. They have a paper and pencil, check-off-what-you-want-on-it method of ordering. Everything you like, and nothing you dont. Was so delicious!!!

Some interesting hard to find and gourmet items but sounds like a health food and its most prominent section is candy. Theres a deli and what Ive had is just ok. There is also produce but i havent sampled it. Bakery had some good desserts and theres a selection of wine.

Prices are definitely higher than usual and a lot of the people looked angry to be there. Definitely did not make me feel welcomed.

We absolutely love our twice weekly trips to this amazing store. It is laid out beautifully and each visit finds me bringing home a new tasty food item.Mike, one of the Managers, is really on top of Customer Service. I chatted with him about a few of our favorite items and was delighted to find they were less expensive than at Whole Foods.My Son & his Family recently moved to the Shoreline from CA and they are so pleased with the quality of Fresh Markets prepared foods and Salad Bar.Great staff round out a delightful food shopping experience.

The reason I cannot give this place five stars even though they have great produce great meet a great fish market is if you want to get a sub or a sandwich made by the deli you have to wait forever. You cannot come here on your lunch hour and expect to get out relatively fast even if no one is in front of you it takes them forever to make a sandwich. I have tried multiple times to have lunch here since I work nearby. It is faster to buy a roll the cold cuts and go sit in your car and make your own sandwich. They should find somebody that knows what theyre doing in the deli department. I wait a couple months and call back and nothing changes

The food is really good, except it is definitely pricey. However, they do a really good job of carrying specialty meats like leg of lamb..... And their bakery is amazing!!! ( They almost always have some sort of yummy treat to taste!)If you are looking for unique/specialty food items, id definitely recommend Fresh Market... But for our family at least, to do our main shopping here would be absurd. Its just so expensive.... But also because a lot of the basic staples in this store are not there.... And if they are, theyve been shipped internationally.Basically, its a great store, with an amazing selection of fresh food, but the staple items are minimal.*** Theyre Nut & Snack Bar in middle of the store is GREAT!!

Theres some unique things here you cant get in larger stores, but it is limited in other ways. If you like to cook, you can find more unique spices, etc here. The reason I give it 3 stars is because YOU MUST CHECK EXPIRATION DATES HERE. Multiple times I have either bought something that was expired or expiring the same day. Just today I went there, picked up a half gallon of milk that expired yesterday on 3/13/19 and today is 3/17/19. Luckily I know now to check. I hope the managers will read this. I buy a few things here I cant get a stop & shop, but always check exp. dates now. I hope the managers will read this and take note.

Great selection. Market is pretty clean, and the soups and salad bar is perfect for a small lunch. I also appreciate the layout, as it lets you find what you need quickly. The only complaint I have is that the lunch counter is a bit confusing and convoluted, and I had to ask about the price on multiple occasions, so I recommend fixing that up a bit. Other than, this is a good secondary supermarket for my family, and I recommend it to anyone who wants to shop a step above Stop and Shop, and all the other large chain markets.

Today, August 15th, 2019 I decided to pick up a bistro meal. I decided on the sausage and pepper meal. I ended up with 2 very small pieces of sausage....and you call that the main course. VERY disappointing.Additional commentThis month (January 2020) i did get some fantastic muffins and scones at The Fresh Market. So i upgraded my rating to 3 stars.

Great alternative to the big grocery stores. Plenty of choices for healthy eating including salad/seafood/olive bars. Produce is top notch and the meat and seafood counters always produce great meals. I highly recommend the cauliflower rice and the collosal shrimp are the best I ever had in a shrimp cocktail.

I had an issue with a half gallon of milk in a cardboard container that had ripped at some point. When I removed it from my thermal bag, milk poured out everywhere. Yes, I was crying over spilled milk as it was all over my bag, my food and the floor. I called the store at got the manager, Mike. He was so kind and understanding. I just wanted someone to know, but he offered to replace my bag and the total food bill. No other grocery store would provide that kind of customer service. That is outstanding service!

I shop here 1-2 times a week. Overall I like the store.... well stocked with fresh meats, breads, produce and seafood. The store is clean and clearly marked. Checkout is easy and fast. The staff is typically very attentive and nice with one exception. I endlessly have problems with the seafood counter. I’ve gotten to timing how long I wait before someone comes to help me. Besides having to wait a ridiculous amount of time (usually about 8-10 minutes) the person comes out with a attitude. Apparently it’s annoying to help customers. Aside from the issue with the seafood counter this is a terrific place to shop for fresh food.

Their produce section is good, meat and fish counters have nice variety including organic options. Store is pretty clean (definitely cleaner than the areas Big Ys and StopnShops). Sushi made by their chef is decent too, I havent tried other prepared foods. Prices are quite a bit higher than average.

I love this store with a minor exception hence, taking a star off. Very clean, mostly friendly people except for the people in section where the sandwiches, wraps, sushi etc. are sold.They have an attitude most of the time especially when asked if they can make a sandwich with different ingredients. Has it ever occurred to the people there that the wraps or sandwiches already prepared may not be to everyones liking?And please dont be rude in your responses if you cant do it. All in all, neat grocery store and it is a lot cheaper than whole foods.

The Fresh Market is aptly named for everything there is fresh. From baked goods to fresh peanut butter. The employees are also accommodating too. It is also extremely clean.

Its a Beautiful Grocery Store, but the selection is a bit lacking. Prices are kinda high also. Good for if you want grab and go meals, but not the ideal place for a weekly shopping trip. The products are of high-quality though. This is one of those stores that uses a more wealthy state like CT to their advantage.Layout of the store is a bit unorthodox and it feels as if they dont make the best use of their space.A place like Whole Foods seems to be a better choice for an all-organic shopping trip and Bishops Orchard is a great alternative for a similar shopping experience.

For an expensive market, they have a really small selection. I was looking for gluten free noodles (shirataki) and compared to other high-end stores, they had only one kind as opposed to many other ones. Definitely wont be going back for specialty foods, and for the price, anywhere else would be better for organics. Also, the store is hard to navigate.

This seems like a really unique place. They offer fresh meats and sandwiches at affordable prices. They were the only place in a 10-mile radius that had lamb shanks for a meal I was trying. The staff was also very friendly. I hope to go back again to try the deli sometime.

Purchased their weekly $20 special - chicken Coq Au Vin. All fresh ingredients, easy to prepare and an excellent meal. Saved $15 over regular price. Great value for a gourmet meal that serves 4+.

Great seasonal deals and meal deals. We did an Easter package with many sides and all the goodies which was a big hit as well as a memorial day mix and match meal deal which was nice and reasonably priced. They have great store brand foods which are less expensive. We enjoy the fresh market GF pizza often

The store itself is clean and ok. The cashier that checked me out was obnoxious, gossipy with disregard to people waiting to be checked out as she chatted away to customer.When it was my turn, she didnt bother to say hello as she had said to the customer before me or after me. And to my horror, I got home only to realize I had been handed another persons bag.So I go back and handed the bag to the manager who was cold and showed him my receipt stating this is not my bag. I even said I left my car running and have to go, and he just kept staring at it and after I said I already have my stuff and need my receipt back, that was when he said thank you and tried to be nice. I just walked away.Disgusting people. It was almost like I did something bad returning another customers grocery given to me. Perhaps, if your cashier had paid attention to the job she was hired to do, this wouldnt happen.To management, train your people better or have them learn from the workers in your Westport store.

An upscale grocery store with the prices to match. In addition to good produce, meat, and seafood, a number of prepared items are available as well. Notable highlights also include a fair selection of cheese, whole spices, and grind your own coffee and nut butters.

I love this supermarket. Produce and meats and fish are outstanding. You definitely pay for it but its worth it. Good beer selection too.

According to the manager, this place has a different business model than Whole Foods. Basically, it sounded like its for high class people looking for high class food at full price. If youre just looking to buy healthy fresh food, go somewhere else.

Great grocery store with awesome presentation of their product. Always very high quality produce and meats. Many brands that are hard to find in other stores, and many organic and healthy alternatives. Premium to be paid, but often worth it!

Bishops for local but limited artisan market, Big Y for the basics. Fresh market straddles both pretty well-youll find what youre looking for here, but youll probably find something you havent tried before. I love the make your own Sixpack section as well-great idea.

So many things to love about this store. I wish they had a bigger bagel section though.

Great quality, good selection of fresh organic produce, plain yoghurts, and friendly service make the Fresh Market a go-to place for me as it is closer than Whole Foods. This saves me time. Prices are somewhat high. Music although very classical is always the same. This is boring

Fresh Market is the Best. Reasonably priced and they have a great variety of products from amazing fruits and vegetables to delicious prepared foods. Best roasted chicken in the area try the white wine and herb or rosemary garlic both delicious and a bargain at $6.99. Honey Crisp apples are especially good as is most all of their produce. Sushi was excellent. I like that if I want to buy a small amount of brazil nuts or a multitude of healthy and some not so healthy yummy treats I can get as much or as little as I want all sold by the pound. Dont not come here because your loyal to the longtime Orchard down the street or the market by the green. There is plenty of business for everyone and Fresh Market has many many items that the other local stores dont have. Highly reccomend this place.

Prices are a bit high but the store is beautiful.

Treated to saladbar with a friend for a special birthday dinner. Dont mistake my intent. When I go out to eat Im restricted to no/low salt diet so saladbars keep me out of trouble and Fresh Market fits the bill nicely. Although Guilfords selection isnt as huge like Milfords is the selection is still great. There are a few tables so going at an off hour increases the chances of seating. I highly recommend this saladbar! Enjoy!

Horrible experience. Had to do emergency shopping because grandkids mom said they had the right tacos. Everything else eas either far from ripe or hakf rotten....and everything was way over priced. Meat attendants were extremely rude and when we finally got our ground chuck...well... My 5 year old grand daughter could have wrapped it much better. We will go back to Bishops as per usual and take the heat from the grandkids..no doubt all of the next times.
