Havent been here in a long time but certainly worth coming back. Breakfast here is amazing. Everything is always hot and fresh just the way I like it. Bagels are so soft and tasty. They certainly did not name it Bagel buffet for no reason. It certainly lives up to the name.

I work in a medical office and we are constantly ordering from this location because its good and its walking distance from our medical office. The salads are great, but unfortunately the service is not. Today was our breaking point with this place. We received our food in a timely fashion.. but they forgot the dressings. So we called as any facility would and they told us the driver would bring the dressing on the next route. We waited OVER A HOUR with no driver present and when I called the woman at the front desk she stated oh he forgot again... How can you forget when someone just reminded you to bring the dressing? We literally are a 4-5 min drive from bagel buffet and I found it disrespectful because we arent just any customers... we regularly order from them at least once/week. We are a medical facility and as any who works there knows that our time is limited for lunch. So our facility will never be ordering from this location again. If you are on a time crunch I would recommend ordering hours in advance and remind them to pack the necessary items.

I asked for a coffee with cream and two sugars coffee was cold The bagel wasnt toasted

Wow fresh bagels, totally recommend love the salmon bagel and ham-egg cheese on a roll. Fresh coffee and good service.

Good in a pinch ..not the best tasting bagels in the area and chances of getting what you ordered 50/50. Ask for toasted bread or bagel...good luck. The lady at the register is great though.

Great bagels. Always fresh! This is a go-to place for locals. They offer a large menu of sandwiches and salads too. Great breakfast or lunch spot. Staff is always friendly. They are usually busy but they work efficiently and the wait is short.

Yesterday I placed an order and my delivery came in like 15 minutes exactly. Today I make another order and it’s been nearly 2 hours for delivery . Every time I call I get out on hold and then told the driver is on the way . AND THEY ARE ONLY 5 MINUTES AWAY from me . I’ve just never seen delivery be 2 hours late . Last time ordering here .

My favorite bagels but they take way too long, I got my bagel but my friend who ordered after me had to wait an extra 15 min for the same thing.

Flip a coin. The odds of getting a heads are about the same odds of you getting your bagel toasted if you ask for it. And the girl makes it seem like she can’t be bothered and can’t wait to get out of work and it’s only 10AM. Well excuuuse me for making you work while you’re working miss sunshine, asked for it toasted TWICE, opened my everything bagel when I got home and it’s cold and soggy because that’s what happens when you put lox and tomato on a cold bagel. I’m being very specific so you can remember who I am and maybe next time you’ll pay attention/give a damn:)

Not bad, I only ordered a couple of egg sandwiches but so far my experience was ok. Clean stove and almost everyone wore gloves. One guy however was handling food without gloves, that concerned me. He wasnt handling my order so I did not say anything. Overall they seem to be ok. I will know more the next time I visit.

DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM THIS PLACE!! 2 bacon egg and cheese sandwiches and 3 chicken cesar wraps, not difficult items to make. I waited 2 hours for delivery

Bagels are tasty and the place is clean. I used to be a regular customer until their prices seem to just be creeping up. $6.10 for a Taylor ham egg and cheese on sliced bread is a little ridiculous and I once paid over $7.00 for the same on a croissant for my daughter because they charge for everything separate.

Good food, fast and efficient. Very busy however the wait time was only a few minutes after placing our order. Clean and crisp interior, friendly staff and inviting furniture makes a return visit certain.

The best bagel joint in town. I moved out of town a few months ago and still travel here.Almost always order a BEC on a roll, and a Everything Bagel with CC. Always delicious, fresh, and Hot!Good pricing, and delicious.

I’m very surprised know 1 had mentioned how filthy this place has become since the new owners!! Yes it’s slow, but the food all over the floor behind the counter, and I hate to say it but there was a roach in one of the condiment trays! All workers acting like it’s the cleanest place ever ? ... been going here for more then 20 years, will not step in again.

STORE TEMPORARILY CLOSED-DO NOT PLACE ONLINE ORDER!!! I place an online order, paid and waited an hour for my delivery. It usually says they’re closed or about to close on online order if that’s the case, but it didn’t say that and it allowed me to move forward with my order. I called the store and it just rang, they did not have their automated service. I found it weird so I drove to the store only to find out they are closed. I called the Secaucus location and spoke to a lady which told me the Hackensack location is temporarily closed, I asked why and she said she had no idea. There are no signs on the store front saying they will be temporarily closed, and when you call the Hackensack location you cannot get in touch with anyone. The lady I spoke with said she will give the owner my information so that he can refund my money. Hopefully, I get my money back.

The bagels are tasty, and the food is not too bad. However the service and the treatment is not the greatest. I ordered a tuna sandwich and when I got home it was only half of the bagel with tuna the other side was empty. I called to tell them and the young man almost took pride that that was him who did that sandwich.Not exactly apologeticHe seem to be quite happy with himself that that was him who gave me half a portion, if maybe the price would’ve reflected the portion he gave me I wouldn’t be so upset. I still paid a lot of money for a portion of the sandwich.

We had a good experience at Bagel Buffet. The breakfast bagels and veggie omelet were very tasty and just as we ordered them. They have a good coffee selection. Customer service was good also.

Horrible service they don’t even ask if you need help there was a total of 3 ppl and employees walking around. Over priced this is why I never come here go to other bagel spots.

Breakfast sandwiches are always the best. Fresh, packed with eggs, bacon, cheese, potatoes...whatever you choose it will be delicious. My favorite is the breakfast wraps! So good!

Cashier was rude, very disrespectful. In this day and age you treat customers how you would wanted be treated, not to mention this location is barely packed. I understand we dealing with epidemi, doesnt mean be rude and nasty.

I just waited 20min for 2 bagels and a small salad (dont know why as there was no line). I was asked if I wanted romaine, spinach or field greens for my salad, I asked for field greens. Got home- why.do I get? Spinach. Its not rocket science guys, try a little harder.

All I can say about the food is that its edible. Nothing to be excited about, you can tell who ever is cooking the breakfast doesn’t really put any effort into it. Definitely won’t be ordering here again.

Fantastic bagels made fresh on site daily! All the food is spectacular!! Very friendly staff as well! Dee and Anita are the best!!! I always get my bagels from here and never regret it!!! On the off chance the cook makes a mistake, they will fix it immediately and offer you free food next time! I highly recommend shopping and eating here!!

Food is good but the staff is unbelievably rude! I’ve gone to this place many times in the past today however i went in because i just simply needed some napkins because i was really sick and had to blow my nose. Instead of being greeted with a smile or a simple hello one the staff members says to me “Can I help you with something or are you just going to keep taking my napkins”. Is it really that big of a deal to take some napkins to blow my nose considering how sick i was? After that never going back little do they know they lost a customer that used to go there all the time! So rude napkins are free anyways !

The customer service needs to improve. You do not answer the phone and say wait. I have been waiting for 10 minutes to place an order. This is not the first time I have had to wait for a long length time where I end up driving from one side of Hackensack to the bagel buffet while on hold to place an order. Other than that, the food is delicious.

Great place for bagels, muffins and breakfast. Very clean operation and the staff is very helpful. Im coming here for at least 10 or 12 years, and Im going out of my way to come even though I have other bagel places much near our house. Highly recommend this place.

Very bad service. My girlfriend and I had walked in waiting to be served but the workers carelessly wondered around. Mind you there was no one in line.

Yes all the way. Bagels are among the best Ive had. A good bagel is hard to find let me tell you and bagel buffet doesnt disappoint. Also they have longer hours than most bagel stores which makes them even greater!And customer service 👍👍👍

I would have given it 5 stars but the people that work there are not very up to speed. Maybe its just me but anytime I go there they call next customer I go up they ask me for my order but only to say hold on one moment because they werent listening and then I have to repeat my order. I only keep going back because their bagels are awsome and their coffee is great plus I love their tuna fish.

Just about 20 minutes for a bagel with butter.. 3 weekends in a row! There wont be a 4th time. Employees running around that place like their shirt is on fire. Found a new bagel shop down the street that handed me a bagel w/butter before i was able to blink twice.

This play tends to have better bagels than most places. The bagels are usually nice and pump. The everything bagels are usually balanced with all of the right ingredients. Taylor ham, egg & cheese is my go to at this place.

These bagels are so fresh and soft. I drive 20 minutes to get bagels from this place. There are so many along the way, but this one is the best. I will pick up 1/2 a dozen to have some for the week.

Currently still waiting for my order I placed at 10:09, I was just told it will be another 10 minutes for the cinnamon raisin bagels. This place is horrible and will not be back. The new owners need to step it up a little bit. When I got here I was the only one in line

Not just bagels but make your own salads as well. Really good but the place is always cold....bring your jacket if you are eating there!

I give it 2 stars because the bagels are truly good. However today again was one of many days when you request a simple order and they get it totally wrong. It really just sloppiness. I am very surprised with all these comments on this issue with this place the owner does NOT do anything to resolve it. We are paying customers - GET THE ORDERS RIGHT. ITS NOT THAT DIFFICULT PEOPLE.

They Must Have Sold the Place.Bagel Buffet had been my favorite Bagel Store for 20 years.They were always a bit more expensive,but worth it.Big Fat Perfectly Cooked Hand Rolled Bagels.The Cinnamon Raisin Bagels Used to have Nice Plump Full Raisins Swirled with Cinnamon.The Everything Bagels were Loaded with Seeds and Salt...NO MORE!!!The Everything Bagels I Bought Today barely have seeds and no more salt!!! They are now half the size and weight,but double the price.The Cinnamon Raisin Bagels had no Full Raisins.I could barely detect ground raisins,I couldnt even call them chopped.They were perfectly shaped-Must have come out of a machine....Very Disappointing..I wont be going back any time soon.

This place is amazing! Everything is fresh and the staff is quick, accommodating and friendly. My husband and I visit the Hackensack location whenever we are in town.

The food here is solid but the prices are on the high end. that is why i am less than satisfied with my last two trips there. on the first, in store, i asked for salt and pepper on my egg sandwich; i got salt pepper ketchup which changed it totally. on the second, i called ahead because time was tight. it was a saturday morning not busy at all and when i got there five minutes after my call they then threw my eggs on the grill to make my sandwich. Am i nitpicking? i dont think so. In an America of years past things got done right. for these prices they should be better.

Worst service ever! I phoned in my order for pick up about 10 minutes before I got to the place. The lady who took my order was very nice and she said it would take approximately 5 to 10 minutes. I placed my order at 7:51AM and I got to the place at roughly 8AM. There were only 2 people before me that had placed their orders and there were about 5 to 6 customers that came after me. All the customers that came in after me received their orders and left while I was the last one. I only ordered an egg whites platter. They kept moving my ticket back further. I left the restaurant with my food at 8:25AM. I was waiting there for about 30 minutes! Worst service ever! Will not be going back. This is the 3rd time this has happened.

Got a half dozen Bagels here. Half were fresh out of the oven. Lots of customers when I entered which was a very good sign.

I used to like this place when they produced hot fresh bagels every morning. I love their options for different types of cream cheeses, but i am so disappointed today. I ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel w/ cream cheese (toasted). The bagel was so hard that I couldnt even take a bite. Ive have toasted bagels, but this was clearly so stale that it made it rock hard to chew or bite. SO DISAPPOINTED!
