Very short wait-time. Very efficient workers in such a small space. Delicious, fresh and soft bagels. The only minor thing was they were a little heavy-handed with the pepper. That won’t deter me from returning! 10/10

It’s a shame to give this place one star as my review from a few years back was a 5 star, but this place has gotten embarrassingly bad. I moved a few towns away but I still drove there on weekends for bagels. This place has become a disaster. They literally cannot get an order right and the last few trips have resulted in them forgetting significant parts of the order all together. When I call to let them know they forgot parts of the order, they blame me for “forgetting my food.” I know I should check the bag but when you have a bag full of wrapped up bagels it’s a bit hard to tell what’s missing or wrong until you get home. Unless you unwrap everything on the counter before leaving.Today was the last straw. I ordered 4 bagels, one as a sandwich one with cream cheese and two plain….very simple order. They literally forgot half the order. They tried to ring me up and send me on my way without half of my food but luckily I know better to check since this place is now a dumpster fire.

As a bagel conneisuer, I had to try this place out for myself. While I expected a balanced everything bagel, all I received was an overpowered bagel with not much cream cheese. Service was really just a bunch of teenagers messing with their phones.The bagel should be able to be eaten by itself (ex. Bagel Box, Boxcar, etc.) but this bagel was in dire need of ample cream cheese to even it out. Cream cheese was sweet but didnt offer that counter to my spicy pallette from the everything seasoning.All in all DO NOT go to this place if you want solid bagels. Service is substandard and bagels feel commercialized. Wish I could write a better review.

Best fresh bagels around. Always nice and toasted just right with a great flavor. Their Taylor ham, 2 eggs and cheese sandwich on a hard roll with coffee is delicious and my favorite. Easy in and out parking. Their service is fast and friendly.

They work as a team and try to get your order out as soon as possible. The food taste great and they change their gloves frequent and if you ask. Watch out for some however that dont wear their mask over their nose. The shop is small and there are no placement on the floor for waiting customers therefore some waiting customers may violate your 6ft spacing. A great place for breakfast and lunch, they just need to fine-tune their covid-19 policy.

Our go-to bagel shop in the area. Theyre varieties of bagels and cream cheese are fresh. My regular go-to is the classic Taylor Ham, Egg, & Cheese on a roll with Pepper/Ketchup. They thin slice their Taylor Ham, so it adds a whole later of crisp to the sandwich.

I hate to give them just 2⭐, however, they CONSISTENTLY keep getting my orders WRONG more times than I can count...And each time I keep going on breaks because of it. The owner is nice, but he will have to retrain his young staff if he doesnt want to lose business. There is only 1 staff member that seems to be on Point! She gets your order RIGHT!! Think Ill go on a long hiatus from them.

Bagels are always fresh and they have a good variety. The breakfast sandwiches are good and they crisp the Taylor ham, which I love. The hash browns are patties which I also like.

As I work nearby in the area, though I could have stopped at one of many other bagel places en route, I chose to come here based off the higher/better reviews amongst the others. However, as I don’t treat myself/splurge often - the times I DO, I want my money to be well spent. I had high hopes. For a bagel with lox spread?: $3.40 + tax (ok, reasonable). But again, point being is that if I’m paying almost $4.00 for a bagel, PLEASE DON’T SKIMP ON THE CREAM CHEESE!!! No one likes a skimpy-topped bagel! 😩😖🤧; I can assure that a majority of northern NJerseyans prefer bang-for-their-buck and to get what they’re paying for. Needless to say, just here to let you all be aware that (though their customer service is fair) this is one of THOSE places that have proved to be grossly frugal rather than generous with the food served for the money you pay. #smh 😴

Ill give the Bagel Shoppe 3 stars based on food- tastes good. Delicious muffin assortments. They are becoming a bit pricey, though. The kids that work there are awesome.However, through the years Ive noticed that the owner never seems to speak to African Americans when he comes to the front of the shop. He will greet everyone and smile and pass right over anyone Black. I used to frequent the shop a lot more, but because of this I rarely visit anymore. Why support a minority business if they dont appreciate minority customers?

This is your run of the mill bagel shop. What brings people coming back is the great service, always with a smile. I recently went there and they were offering free coffee with purchase for the holidays ( Christmas eve, New Years eve). I would definitely recommend the spot for a quick bite to eat for breakfast.

My favorite bagel place Simons bagel closed down so we needed to find a new place. We tried here three times. The first time the service was not great, the second time they messed up our order, the third time the food made our stomachs churn. The bagels were good. But I dont think Id risk going back here again.

Well this shop is pretty on point. But last few times I have gotten a bagel with Cream cheese and Jelly it was a mess by the time I got to work it was all over me.I thank them for being generous with cream cheese but I tell them not to much same results.Nonetheless very good Bacon egg and cheese overall great spot. Just have to figure out there ration of cream cheese and Jelly😁

They are nice and curteous however, They keep messing up orders. I had ordered a delivery for 2 breakfast sandwiches and i received 1. I called and was denied a redelivery for the second sandwich all i got was an apology for the mistake and a refund. I was frustrated cause i could not pick the order i was taking care of my elder mom with dementia. They are inconsistent numerous times i went there and my order was messed up. They take orders without writing them down now these are young college students??? what happened to their memories. How do you constantly mess up an order?. This my first complaint i tried to give the benefit of the doubt and understand mistakes but its happened too many times. .please, they should write down the orders to further prevent this.

Seems they are always out of the bagels I wanted...onion, salt, cinnamon raison, etc. and they were out at 8:00 AM. This has happened on many occasions.

Really enjoyed the food here. It was an extremely cold Thanksgiving morning and the staff was taking multiple orders while bringing in warm bagels. I had an order of two Bacon&Ham&Cheese&Egg on Onion Bagels, including two orders of the hash browns, and two omelets of bacon & cheese and lastly two orders of Hot Chocolate which were all delicious. It was a heavy breakfast and the staff prepared the order in a timely manner. Unfortunately, I was unable to get the staff member name who was assisting me, which was a lady (About 4 ladies on that day), but she would remember by the order that was placed. I just want to thank her for the great experience and the welcoming gesture. Ill visit again without a doubt. Would recommend to my surroundings as well. Stay warm and much success for your shop.

I’ll never come here again. They messed up on my sandwich multiple times even after having to repeat my order back to them several times. The Taylor ham was burnt, the bagel was thin and tasteless, and it was sloppily put together. The place is as big as a phone booth so there’s nowhere to stand once you order. You get anxiety just being in there. I stood there for literally almost 20 mins and watched 5 people who ordered after me get their food before me. And on top of all that, they have the nerve to charge the customers their merchant fee if you use a credit card. They won’t get another dollar of my money, there’s way better places out there.

This place is amazing!!! Great breakfast & the coffee is the best!!! Amazing enough they make great over stuffed lunch sandwiches. If you love tuna, egg salads WOW!!! There a Bagel Shop & Deli all in one. I see they only use the best stuff in all there foods.

A quaint bagel place that usually makes a mean sandwich. Everything looks clean and thr service is usually spot on though some of the younger workers have difficulty communicating with one another. Still, a solid place for your Bacon, egg, and cheese needs (try the Taylor Ham, Egg, and Cheese)!

Bagels are always coming out hot and fresh, let me tell you a hot bagel that melts in your mouth is definitely 1 of the best things Ive ever eaten! I really enjoy the fresh lox and cream cheese for breakfast but some days I twist it up and order an egg sandwich with my choice of meat and its delicious! I always am greeted with a smile and treated very well by the staff! Thank you to the bagel Shoppes staff and owner for continuously starting off my mornings with smile and great breakfast !!!

Went here for the first time yesterday. Best Taylor ham Ive had in the longest time! They slice it extra thin and stack it high, each piece is perfectly crisp. Definitely will be returning to try the rest of the menu!

When I go to Hackensack always have to go see these folks!! Friendly staff, great service and good bagels. There are better bagel places in NJ that’s why a 4, however for Hackensack area, they are very my top of the list.

Now,I grew up in Queens, near Flatlands Brooklyn, and I know my bagels.These are Jerseys best.One difference between a good and great bagel is the sweetness of soft water vs hard water,and perhaps a drop of sugar added to the dough.These arent made with soft NYC water,and dont have that over the top sweetness that some NY bagels have.These are right up there with most good NY bagels,but Ive had fantastic ones that are thru the roof.A great shop,though!
