Buyer beware. Sure, they have nice stuff... and the staff is in the store itself is pleasant and helpful. But as a company, Pottery Barn is as disorganized and shady as a back-of-a-truck furniture salesman. The couch we ordered in June was set to finally be delivered in October after being MIA for weeks, but then on the day we were supposed to receive it we see the delivery was canceled, and learn they cant find it only after we called customer service. We still never got a straight story on where our couch went, but now were waiting while they make a new one, and theyre already using this supply chain nonsense as an excuse why itll be another few months. Customer service is useless, store manager has no influence or visibility, and the people who do dont actually want to deal with customers. No empathy whatsoever, they all just repeat scripted customer service I can understand your frustration nonsense. Most aggravating experience of any major household purchase.
Needed some last minute school supplies for our 3 yr old and pottery Barn was one of the few places that had supplies we could get right away vs online shopping. They had a decent amount of kids merchandise and the price was reasonable. Store was easy to find in the mall and customer service was wonderful.
Pottery Barn is a good store, good quality furniture, accessories and a helpful staff. I, myself have bought multiple things from this store. The staff is friendly and willing to help. The only problem is with furniture delivery, at times they can get backed up and not deliver the items within the commitment date. When you call, customer service, although helpful, they don’t deliver and give you a polite run around. Overall, this is a good quality store. Plenty of parking and all the stores are located within malls. This store is one of the biggest around the area. Now displaying Christmas items for the Hollidays.
I was delighted to find Kim behind the upstairs register and she was extremely helpful in explaining their new flameless candle product line. I ended up purchasing 2 boxes of votives @ $69 each and a remote. Once home, I was excited to open my new find and use on my mantle. Joy quickly turned to frustration when I realized 3 of the 8 didn’t work. The batteries had been poached and that “new plastic wrapping” around each had been reapplied with scotch tape. So….5 stars for Kim but 1 star for the associate who restocked the faulty inventory.
Great store. Toni was great. Abi was even better. Was very patient in hearing our requirements. In guiding us through options, even adding her suggestions.Donna was horrible. She kept us waiting multiple times in the same visit. First she was very snarky in her responses asking multiple times if we didn’t trust our own measurements, then a few mins into helping us she said she has a customer who has come after a long time and needs to see them. This was quite strange as normally we’d expect an agent to keep anyone else waiting until we were done. Then she came back after multiple mins and said the second time that she has an appointment to go to and can’t help us. She was the worst experience we have ever had in a pottery barn store.Hopefully pottery barn can pass on the feedback to ensure a bad apple does not spoil an otherwise great experience.
Very upscale, two floors of quality furniture and accessories. This place is huge. They do a great job of staging gorgeous bedroom sets, bedding and pillow arrangements. In addition they also have lots of other really stylish furniture and home furnishings. They do an excellent job of displaying everything. Lots of color which makes it cheerful and bright. Theres also a separate Pottery Barn Kids and Baby store right next door on the second level. Both are a bit pricey.
Very uninviting unpleasant experience. Associates were not acknowledged in my request for assistance.
My mother and I were looking to see a specific bedroom set that I saw and liked online. When I walked in a staff member greeted us we asked her about the set and she said she’d have to check. When she asked two other employees one replied that, “there isn’t a floor model because I bought it, it’s at my house.” We then asked if they could find out if another store had it on display. The response was, “Well we’d have to call other stores.” She then just walked away dismissing us. Don’t waste your time here, go to the Montvale location. The way we were treated really made it seem as if they don’t care about the customer or making a sale for that matter. Offered practically zero help.
We purchased furniture in January of 2021 from this location. We purchased one dining table and a coffee table and the shipping fee was $300. The dining table was backordered due to covid-19 and we patiently waited until it was delivered today, May 28th. The dining table that took nearly 6 months to get here arrived damaged and had a huge crack in its base. It was so noticable the delivery guy put the table back in the truck and told us someone from pottery barn would contact us. When someone did call us, our only options were to either wait until October for a new table or accept the damaged table with a new base. For what we paid for delivery, the product should have been delivered at the very least without missing a huge chunk of wood. Im really disappointed in the quality and lack of care from a store that has reputation for being higher end.
Stuff is way overpriced definitely shop around you can find the same stuff for half the price
Received great advice on furniture which we may follow up on with the in house designer.
They charge you a fee even if you pick up an item. Is this is scam or what? went to buy a table and it was $700. So to deliver it, they charge $140. I said, ok, I will pick it up, and they said they charge $40. never seen anything like it. No other place would have a pick up charge.
Pleasant place to buy furniture
Whats not to love?!
Greeted immediately.
Very friendly, great service and beautiful merchandise! I am very satisfied with their merchandise. I have ordered online and everything is shipped in a timely basis and they inform you of the status of your order.
Love the furniture
I cant get enough of the decor from here! The perfect modern items to jazz up homes and offices. Bought a lot of items for my studio.
This location is a hit or miss depending on the time of the day and which staff member you get to talk to. Some of them are very helpful and others lack basic knowledge on the product selection. Id ask about dimensions, what a furniture piece is made of or delivery times... and some employees would be unable to answer me. Getting that information over the phone is a lot easier. I do like to go there for browsing purposes though. Seeing the furniture in person before committing to buy it is helpful.
Overpriced, high quality furniture for upper middle income earners. If you have $3000 to drop on a sofa, you should try this place.
Pottery Barn Kids has unusually nice takes on castles, play work benches, and many other toys. Particularly liked their take on construction vehicles and cranes.
Do not buy anything at this store. There is a horrible worker who told me to get the dirty look off your face. When I was upset because of they never told me that I had to ask them to add the reward points before purchasing and the woman said that every customer asks them to add the reward points without her informing the customer.Thats time exactly heard DIRTY LOOK from her.Im still learning English. The woman didnt give me a chance to speak one word. After the argument when I left the store, a group of people who were at the store with me thanked and said that the employee was very unfriendly and told me to let customer service know and complain.I already contacted customer service. I will see what happens.
Racism is subtle, and was displayed by the employees at the store. White customers before us were met with a warm smile and bright greetings while the moment we were up for checkout, not a smile to be found. It doesnt feel great to be treated different, it doesnt take much to notice very subtle small changes in behaviour and attitude. I will definitely not be coming here again
Went to buy one item and had to wait 45 minutes before a cashier could ring me up. Terrible,,! Store had two other customers in it.
After spending thousands of dollars on our babys nursery (cribs and all) we go in the other day to try and get our babys initials on our diaper bag. The sales associate had to go to her manager for every little thing. Seemed like the poor girl had PTSD because of her Francesca (her manager). Francesca tells us that because we didnt have our receipt she would have to give us the lowest selling price that the bag has ever been, even if it was like that an hour. So she returned the bag, and applied a coupon so we can not receive our full value, and ordered the poor young sales associate to order us another bag with the initials. When she went to ring us up the wanted us to pay an extra $30, because their coupon couldnt work. when i questioned it Francesca was screaming at my wife who is 9 months pregnant saying if she doesnt want to pay the difference she can have her bag back. That is when i stepped in and told Francesca that this was the worse customer service in my life. I love Pottery Barn kids, very cute stuff. But if you want to be in a high end mall, you need to treat people a lot nicer.
Pottery Barn has zero control over its supply chains. If you are looking at a product that is on back order, DO NOT BUY. The back order date PB commits to will not be met. I have had and now have spoke to others who have same issue. After you commit to make a purchase based on time date PB commits to, you will undoubtedly receive an email in a few weeks that your item has moved further out on backorder. You wont wont receive the item that you purchased based on PB original dates.Whats worse is local mangers freely admit they have zero control over supply chain and do not offer compensatory value for not adhering to their end of the sales transaction (the timeline). We as consumers must hold companies accountable to honor their end of a contractual sale. While PB has nice merchandise, a good consumer will avoid because of their inability to deliver products on time. Consumers, if we dont hold companies accountable for their treatment of customers, who will?UPDATE 2 WEEKS LATER: Still have not received our item. It took over a week for it to be come to warehouse from NC (a week!). This order was placed back in APRIL! Now PB delivery says it cant be delivered for yet another week even though its ready for delivery. Lastly, I was told that a PB Retail Customer Specialist would call me to discuss partial credit for such extended delays. Have not received a call or email yet. Way to go PB; youve really gone downhill! CONSUMERS - Shop furniture at your own risk. By the way, by comparison, Bassett furniture ordered has been delivered ahead of schedule. PB ought to study their supply chain.
Just love Pottery Barn. Is it a bit on the pricey side? Yes, but the quality 9f the products, the service and overall tranquillity of this place is a worthwhile trade.
I was so disappointed in my experience at Pottery Barn. My fiance and I started our wedding registry online, and thought it would be great to complete it in-store. It took a while to even be acknowledged, and then the associate appeared to be bothered to help us and give us the scanner. When I asked about registry incentives I was met with an eye roll and a I dont know in response. To top it all off, everything we scanned that day did not get saved to our registry properly due to the associates lack of work ethic. Needless to say I will not be going to the store again, and would prefer to just do everything online to avoid unmotivated associates.
Love their bedding and towels
Best PB in the area. Two floors so there’s plenty to see, and the staff is super helpful.
Nice selection of homegoods and furniture. Prices are little too high.
This is the worst PB kids. They close consistently for no apparent reason and claim it’s roe “emergencies”. I’ve never seen a store close more often than this one.
Overpriced, quasi-trendy spot for home goods. Do yourself a favor and shop online. You wont find any bargains here.
I truly hope that PB representatives (the ones that dare to be condescending) surely realize that their business existence rests solely upon customer investment in their brand.
Interesting stuff but waaaaay overpriced!
My wife says there is not a huge selection, but it is cozy and still has nice things.
Live this store good quality
Great stuff, constantly changing with each season
A little expensive but decent
Felt that the saleswoman was very condescending, and Im a Caucasian woman.

Very rude and nasty store manager.
