Knox Security Systems has been our alarm company since we moved in to our Chester NJ home almost 30 years ago. When it became time to modernize our system, Kevin came out to the house to discuss all the new innovative options home security now offers. No pressure to upgrade to more than we needed and we always feel comfortable dealing with he and his wife Chris. I highly recommend Knox for all you security needs.

We got our security system and entertainment prewiring (TV, surround sound, etc) done through them. First of all the guy did not show up to the first meeting with us (we drove 15 miles to meet him), and then he explained things in a confusing manner. These are all minor issues. The major issue was they charged our credit card without informing us. To be clear, here is what they did:* we paid them 1/2 in advance using a credit card* they charged us on the same credit card the remaining half without informing us and in fact before we had had the chance to ensure that the job was done to our satisfaction.When I talked to the president (Kevin Knox), he told me that this is how they have been doing business for a long time, and that he refused to believe that this could be confusing. All he needed to do was:send an email to me saying that things are done and that we should pay. (As it turns out, we would have paid using a different credit card because we were close to closing on a house.)Be wary of doing business with them. I am not going to get the security system service through them.

The initial experience was very educational. Jon Knox is very knowledgable about the latest advancements in home sercuity equipment, installation. He patiently and completely answered all questions without pressure to purchase. The service is far superior to ADT and COX. ADT subcontractors were not able to provide full home automation at the same time as security installation. Price is competitive, service is excellent, smooth installationStrongly recommended to friends and family
