This was an amazing experience! This is my first new car ever and the process was so smooth and easy from start to finish. The service department is awesome as well. In and out quickly and they take the time to explain things to you. I absolutely would recommend this dealer to anyone!!! Especially seeing they warranty my tires for life!!!!!
Tom is a wonderful salesman! I had an incredible experience at this dealership. Hackettstown Hyundai helped me stay within my budget and helped me get into a safe, reliable car. THANK YOU EVERYONE!! I am so elated!!
I went into the dealership looking to lease a car. My father had a great experience their and loves his Hyundai Santa Fe. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by Mac Campbell. Right away I realized how knowledgable and helpful he was with the cars. I had a budget I had to follow and Mac Campbell did everything in his power to get me everything I wanted within a reasonable cost. I highly recommend going to Hackettstown Hyundai and talking to Mac Campbell. I LOVE my car!!!
If you value your time and sanity, youd best stay far away from the service department here. When our front drivers side shock snapped and punctured our tire, we had the car towed to the dealer for repair under a recall that had just been issued a week earlier. We called twice a week each week, for 35 days, and never got a call back from the service department. When the manager finally called us back, he was arrogant and rude. Save yourself the frustration... if you are hell bent on Hyundai... find yourself a different dealer. Hyundai of Hackettstown... You can be sorry and forward my review to ownership all you want... but actions would speak louder than words. Fix your problems before you start losing more business, and treat your customers like people. That is all we ask.
I love my new Sonata!! Jose was very patient and knowledgeable in helping me choose the perfect vehicle for me! Andy the manager and Dean in finance finished my transaction nice and smooth. Overall my experience was great and I will definitely be referring any and every one I know!!
Requested online quotes from several dealers and Hackettstown was one of only two that didnt have some kind of catch. Most wouldnt even give me a price unless I came in first. My salesperson Phil was very knowledgeable and low pressure and the free tires program is a nice perk.
At the time of purchase i was cheated on trade in as I returned leased Chrysler. I was charged for transport as the salesman drove 3 miles to the other dealer. They corrected that. They promised youfree tires for life! Watch out, they will charged you ridicules $20.00 per tire for installation and $5 for disposal! Other places charge $15 and you are paying big $$ for all the maintenance. KIA dealer replaced tires free with no charge for installation on my husbands car. When complained to general Manage T.J. or T.C.( he did not introduce himself) I was told this is what it is and go away. I asked for labor to be discounted as well like everything else for VIP card, i was told to be happy i have free tires. The same manager keeps sending me letters and calling me to trade in my Sonata. Why to spend money on marketing and not give me my discount as a little satisfaction! I will never buy the car form him in the future.
I am 100% happy with my new lease from you guys. Jack made the process sooooo easy. The paperwork was done in minutes. I was taught how to use the car and its features. I could not be happier
I came in expecting friendly customer service and information on leasing a car and received only half of that. My salesperson greeted himself and all seemed to go well and smooth up until after the test drive. There is no acceptable reason for me as a customer to be feeling intimidated and pressured to the point that I simply had to walk out. It was clear that the salesperson was more concerned with just selling a car than making the customer feel comfortable about the decision. I was actually very happy with the car that I test drove, but after that awful experience there was no way that I was going to make a deal with a company that allows this kind of service. If you insist on buying Hyundais I would strongly recommend going to another location.
The customer service is horrible ! I have to schedule an oil change appointment way ahead of time or else ...... The service dept never answer the phone, even after calling repeatedly. .my next car buying experience will be elsewhere.. I dont recommend
This was my second time leasing from Hackettstown Hyundai and I couldnt be happier with them. Both leases were arranged through Timothy Hammond ~ the Internet Sales Director. I opted for an online quote and Tim was able to get me deals I was extremely happy with on both cars. When I arrived at the showroom, the sales staff there finished the job I started online with Tim. Everyone was professional, courteous and efficient throughout. This is how you get it done and keep the customers happy! (and coming back!) I would give the dealership a 5 of 5 and Tim a 10 if I could. and by the way, I had my last car serviced there every time and their service department is tops too! highly recommend getting your next car here!
I could not be happier with the personalized customer service I received at Hackettstown Hyundai! We traveled 25 minutes because of an internet price, even though we have a Hyundai dealership in our town, and it was well worth it. Sales manager honored the internet price making it the easiest car purchase weve ever experienced. Our sales consultant Mac Campbell was the best! He was very informative and helpful. We couldnt have asked for better. We love our new Sonata! I highly recommend Mac & Hackettstown Hyundai to anyone and everyone!
Do not use their service department if you value your car. Without getting into too much detail, they did not perform the services they charged for and broke or failed to replace minor parts during service. I had to be told by another Hyundai dealer that various things needed repair from last service job which was at Hackettstown Hyundai and they couldnt believe I took it to a Hyundai dealer. Absolutely worst service ever experienced from a dealership technician and ridiculously over priced. Avoid this service department like the plague.
I made an appointment for my check engine light that came on at 27000 miles on one of my leases. I made the first appointment that was available for two weeks out. I drop my car off for my 9am appointment, I was told I would receive a phone call when it was done. 5pm rolls around no phone call so I call them, no answer left a voice mail. Called 45 minutes later to be transfered to voice mail again. Called back and asked to speak to someone because the shop was closing in an hour and I needed an answer if my car was done or not. After waiting for another 5 minutes I was told it was not done and I would have to wait till tomorrow to have my car serviced. I asked why I want called and notified and the service guy said sorry I just got back from 2 days off and I dont know what exactly is going on. I asked how am I going to get to work tomorrow with no car and they said sorry we are out of loaners I dont have an answer for you. 5 minutes later of being on hold I was transfered to sales for some odd reason and he told me to come and get my car because I had no other options. Absolutely some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I asked for a manager and the general manager and the service manager has gone home for today so in the end I guess the inmates run the asylum at Hackettstown Hyundai
From day one all Ive had is problems with my BRAND NEW 2013 Veloster. I feel that the vehicle is damaged from the manufacturer. The first problem was that the speakers were all blown before I even drove it off the lot. The speakers were replaced by the dealer. The second issue is that the transmission when put into gear makes a clicking noise for reverse or drive when engaging. The third issue is that the sunroof makes a tapping noise whenever going over any kind of bump. Once again this car is brand new 20K vehicle! The service department has been very helpful and nice, but they do not know why the car is making these noises. The car has been to the service department now 3 times since I purchased it in June. The last time it was at the service department for 10 days and the problems have yet to be resolved! I have e-mailed and left messages for the General Manager at Hackettstown Hyundai several times and have not once been called back or received an e-mail response. Hyundai Corporate has called me to address the problems; however, they have done nothing to try and resolve these issues. This will be my first and last Hyundai purchase and I will tell everyone I know to stay away from Hyundais.
Absolutely a wonderful car buying experience they are professional on all levels they make you feel like a human being I will be a customer for life and continue to refer friends and family here thank you to you all
Trying to call service dept for a simple oil change,no answer then goes to voicemail, once I get service dept 3 hr wait for oil change.they dont offer open appointments.
I bought my sonata 2014. First I bought the Sports but changed my mind a day after and they pick up the car and settled for a red GLX and drove it home but then I change my mind again and settled for limited edition and still they allowed me to change again my car the third time just to please me. I was in awe for the accommodation they showed to me after all the hassles of changing paper works. I was embarrassed of my fickle mindedness but all of this happened with their smile in their face. It all ends well and everyone was happy. Kudos to this dealer especially to my salesman Mr John Ortiz. the general manager and finance officer..
Sold me a used car without inspecting it. The front breaks passed inspection by less then 1/10 of an nick . Front tires failed inspection and the rear passed by 1/10 of an inch. Brought it back to them they replaced the front tires but not the back. Their reason was well they passed. The car is all wheel drive and Hundai specs call for replacing all 4 tires at once. The breaks to them was a none issue because they passed even thought it was nearly. 4 months later they called to sell me another car told them about my problems and promised me I would get a call from the general manager. 46 days later still did not happen. The one star is from a friendly and helpful sales staff. Well that and the system made me put at least eight 1 down.
I had the most amazing experience at Hackettstown Hyundai. I have never had a car purchase go so smoothly before in my life (and I have had my share of bad car dealErs) Hackettstown Hyundai (HANDS DOWN) are the best in the business! They are very accommodating and value your time and werent in a rush to sell you just anything. I am very pleased with my purchase and will always go back!!! The are very knowledgeable with all of their cars (INSIDE AND OUT) and are very thorough from start to finish. I left there with no unanswered questions and I was very comfortable with the whole sale.THANK YOU HACKETTSTOWN HYUNDAI !!!!!
If you want a car they will sell you one. If you want a partner that is in it with you for the long haul, one that will answer your questions especially after the handshake when surprise amounts of money and collections start calling from your trade in. (yes the trade in they were supposed to pay off) Good luck finding any one on your team. I just purchased my third car with them, I was a sure thing for #4 but CJ Meyer the GM finds a quick conversation with me unworthy. Guess what...I feel equally about Hackettstown Hyundai. Make your own decision but know they will smile, they will shake your hand, and they will stick you with a middle finger when the going gets rough. Not my kind of dealer. I finally got the information I needed. BEWARE!!! Hackettstown Hyundai failed to mention that when they beg you to turn in your lease early to buy a new car. If your lease does not sell within a certain time period your car goes to auction. Guess who pays the loss...not Hyundai. I am responsible for the amount lost at auction. (fine print in your lease agreement) This was not highlighted when I leased nor when I turned my lease over early to Hackettstown Hyundai. After 15 days trying to learn why I was in collections the finance guy at Htown Hyundai said which one are you? I have 15 other cases just like yours on my desk. YEP they are ruthless!! I received a letter yesterday from a sales guy asking for my Hyundai sonata to trade in early. No where on the letter does it mention subject to auction losses. CRIMINALS!!!! If you are one of the 15 people on their desk with a similar issue. Lets talk!
AVOID this place!!. They are crooks. Im too exhausted from dealing with them to write a detailed review of how they conducted business with me. Overall everyone is very unprofessional, will lie to your face, will treat you like you are stupid, will try to get you to overpay for a crap car (may look enticing but all their cars are crap) and when you thought it couldnt get any worse; their service department is a complete failure and a lie within itself. SENATOR, GOVERNOR, IF YOU ARE READING THIS; Hackettstown Hyundai needs to be closed down by the state!!!! Anyway, I guess im the idiot for financing a car there in the first place.
Super professional, courteous, and they stand behind their sales. A very happy experience :-)
I would rate 0 if I could. Do not trust these guys. Nice salesman, disturbingly ignorant and arrogant sales manager. I used to work as a salesman and asked how to calculate my lease payments. I was given a simple formula (from the general sales manger of the dealership I knew). I asked for a number I would need to do the calculation from Hyundai in Hackettstown. Not only couldnt he give it to me, he didnt know how to calculate without the computer. So when it came time to negotiate, he couldnt. I have since looked at his number in greater detail: he jacked his number above MSRP and made it look like it was discounted when he showed it to me. I have already found a dealer that has given me real numbers for $89/month less than these guys. Do not trust these guys. Nice salesman, disturbingly ignorant and arrogant sales manager. Hes so defensive of his own ignorance and intelligence I had to walk away. I suggest anyone else do the same.
Got in and out pretty quick. I priced a 2015 Santa Fe Sport on their website and they honored the price with no issues (none of that we dont have that in stock crap most places like to pull). Mac was my salesman and he was excellent! No hassles at all, even the finance guy wasnt pushy. I turned down the warranty and he said ok no problem. Overall an excellent dealership. I may even be going back soon to replace my car (the santa fe sport was for my wife).
ATTENTION!!! THE Owner sends a fake repond after a customer writes a well deserved negative review. They say that they are unable to reach you. Is all part of their scheme. The owner should spend more time servicing his customers other than sending BOGUS responses. Bottom line is, he or she is a FRAUD, Hackettstown Hyundai and Newton Kia is a FRAUD and should be subject to closure!Customers beware; do not believe anything they say. Even if they have a sign saying New Management The place has to be a different business or demolished..
Sales experience here was good. Unfortunately the terrible service department has earned a one star rating. We were offered the free tires for life promotion; the agreement was if we had our maintenance done at Hackettstown Hyundai service department we would get free tires when needed. Brought the car in for its first oil change at the manufacturer recommended interval of 7000 miles. The car had developed a braking issue already; we asked that the brakes be inspected and repaired. When picking up the vehicle, the service advisor informed us we were no longer eligible for the free tire promotion as we had gone well past the dealership recommended oil service interval of 3500 miles. What a crock. Apparently following the manufacturer owners manual maintenance schedule is not good enough to keep the promo. The extreme duty service or whatever which they claim to adhere to does not take into account the quality of modern lubricants or the fact that both the lubricant and car manufacturers recommend at least 7,000 miles between changes. Free tires that Im sure would be bottom of the barrel crap anyway are actually paid for by the many extra oil changes you are required to get. That was the first problem. Second they inspected the brakes and recommended that we pay them to cut the rotors. They claimed this was the only problem with no investigation into the cause of the runout on the rotors. We denied the service as they clearly have no interest in correcting the issue just making a quick buck. The problem turned out to be runout from a problem with the wheel hub. The rotors should have been replaced and the cause of the uneven wear repaired free of charge as the car was under warranty. Way to stand by your great Hyundai warranty! Many miles later we had a problem with the engine. Hoping the incompetence in the service department had been corrected, we brought our car back in. We were told that they would check it out and if the problem was something covered under warranty they would fix it free of charge; otherwise we would have to pay a $150 diagnostic fee and pay for the repairs. Sounds fair. We got a call the day after dropping off the car, Im guessing they spent all of five minutes inspecting the car. First thing the service advisor asks is if we got the car towed in. Nope. They were there when we dropped it off, with employees outside smoking, youd think there may be some sort of memory amongst the troglodytes, but no. Next he says that our window sticker says its been 20,000 miles since our last oil change, thats the problem. Lol great diagnosis. We have been getting our service performed elsewhere since the prior experience with them, it was 1500 miles or so since the last change. I told him this and he said the problem was engine sludge. I asked many times how engine sludge could possibly be the issue, no explanation. He began to get irritated after he had repeated the engine sludge and we aint gonna touch it statement multiple times. Service manager says we aint gonna touch it. Says they put a camera in and it was all sludges up. Ok this clearly wasnt going anywhere so I ended the conversation and we paid the BS fee to take our car home. Checked the oil, medium honey brown, some varnishing but no sludge or chumminess as they had described. Got the car checked out by an independent shop, who diagnosed a problem with the variable valve timing system, so we brought it to a different Hyundai dealership, as this should be covered under warranty! It was! Phillipsburg Hyundai fixed the issue in a day, car has been running great since and there was NO charge as it was warranty work! Nice to work with Phillipsburg Hyundai. I have since contacted Hackettstown Hyundai requesting a refund for the diagnosis fee, both from the service manager and the general manager. Neither have returned our calls. I recommend just buying from a different dealership and get your vehicle serviced elsewhere as well.
I was nervous going to buy a car but when i walked into hacketstown hyundai that all changed they helped me with geting the car i needed everyone was so freindly and helpfull best car buying experiance of my life thanks to eveyone at hackettstown hyundai this dealership gets two thumbs up from me
I needed to get some work done on my Elantra and being new to the area was not too sure about going to a dealer i wasnt familiar with. After looking online I didnt see to many reviews so I was kind of concerned. Let me tell you that This dealership is excellent! They got me in even without an appointment. I was back on the road in less time than I thought I would be. I will recommend this dealer to anyone. I am now working with Tim, their internet manager on pricing for the new Elantra GT. They appraised my trade when I was there and said that the money I spent on the service would be credited to my new car! DEAL! Before you go to anyother dealer, give these guys a chance. Better still go to the other dealers, get their price and then see Hackettsown for the best deal. Free tires for life and Free Lifetime Powertrain Warranty are included in the deal.
Service is terrible, I have to wait 2 weeks for an oil change. The general manager does not return phone calls
Trying to get through to parts or service is always a challenge.
Not good cars
AFTER I POST THIS REVIEW ON THE DATE JULY 05/2016 WE RUN THE AUTOCHECK AND FOUND OUT THAT THE DEALER TAMPER THE ODOMETER, I AM IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING MY MONEY BACK FROM THEM.About a year ego I went to Hackettstown Hyundai dealer located at 28 US 46 to buy a Hyundai and trade in my Nissan Versa, they were friendly and they all are when they want to screw you, everything went well and go to Sonata, when I ask about the carfax I was told that the car was clean with no accidents and I believe them, when I was signing all the documents they pass the carfax and I sign with the assumption that they were telling me the true about the car being clean, but this week I went to the honda dealer to trade this car for an Accord and find out that that the car was in an accident, when I contact the dealer they told me that I sign the carfax and the salesman said he doesnt remember but I do, and if I want to get another car they take my in 4000 dolars, so when I got the car with almost 60000 miles it was worth 14000? and now with 40000 miles more is worth only 4000 on top of that they want to screw me giving them 3500 down payment? Never give money down they ended up keeping the money they excuse is that the bank want that, so tell them that in the first car payment you will sent them the down payment, this people are not HONEST at all ... stay away from them .About a year ago I visited the sale of Hyundai cars in Hackettstown New Jersey located on 28 of Route 46, as always they are very friendly when they know they are going to screw you up and that happened to me, change my Nissan Versa, they told me that the car I was buying was clean without accidents and that it only had a single owner, and when the time came to sign all the paperwork as I had already been told that it was clean too firm without reading what they call carfax which is the history of the car, this week I went to another sale to change cars and discovered that I had been in an accident; I went back to hyundai and they told me that my car was worth 4000, this price is for auction, the car is in perfect condition and now its only worth that? Why does it have 40,000 more miles? When I bought it I had almost 60000 and cost with the financing 14500 and now they only give me four thousand? That is called armed robbery, my recommendation is that they have care and do not buy cars of this sale, they are first-class thieves. This past July 5 we discovered that they changed the mile to the car ... My advice does not even go there and tell everyone what happened to me.
