Staff helpful and friendly. Good selection. I just dont care for the manner in which the store is decorated.

JCPenny did not provide the service I was looking for. I wanted to be sized for a new bra they arent providing at this time. I walked down to their competitor Belk and was sized and assisted I had a very pleasant experience there!

Absolutely disappointing. NO one on the floor to assist or answer questions. I actually yelled out on the second floor, Does anyone work here? Got no response. Finally noticed a salesperson and with a slightly raised voice got their attention only to be referred to the first floor. We placed an order and wanted to make a purchase only to be told I needed to go to another register because this only takes orders. And by the way if you make a purchase on your credit card you must slide the card to make an order and the chip to make a purchase - AT DIFFERENT registers. I hate seeing my favorite store going to pot. Their excuse, and this is a quote, We cant get anyone to work because the government is paying them more than we pay not to work. Our country going to, using a Biblical word, hell.

My husband found some nice khakis for work at a decent price. My son bought some nice tees for a good price too. The place was clean. Limited shoe selection.

This is the first year driving out of Mountainside Bar T Summer Camp. Its a beautiful Camp tucked up in Urbana, Md. Surrounded by trees, flowers, many activity features for kids to use and get exercise on. In ground pool to swim and interact with other to cool off during the day. Many activities to keep young minds busy. Great place to be on your Summer break. Clean, well groomed lawns, and well lit areas through out camp.

I love JC Penneys!!! The clothes become reasonably priced when they have sales and coupons. It is the only place to get a fairly priced Prom gown and they have the absolute best bathing suits for all ages. I never leave there empty handed. The childrens clothes are another Best Bargain.The staff are always very friendly and helpful, they always make me smile and laugh.

I go to the Salon upstairs in Pennys and they are reasonable priced. I see Angie and have been for years! She does an amazing job and does exactly what you ask!! I also made a purchase from Pennys downstairs when I was just there yesterday because they had an amazing sale! The staff in the store are also amazing, friendly and helpful. When I checked out they made it so I got the biggest discount I could get!

We had pictures taken in the photo studio. Photographer was excellent. Very attentive. Great with the grandkids.Very sad that there werent more people in the store. Seemed like a ghost town.

There is alot to pick from just nothing up to date. Dated the fashion choice. Its heartbreaking. We are from Missouri so to see one open was great.

For a society that doesnt appreciate a mall this was a pretty good department store.

I ordered a dress for my Dads funeral through my JCPenny app and requested to pick my order up in store. The whole process was smooth and flawless.I especially was impressed by my cashier. She was brought down to the Mens Department to do check-outs while her norm area was upstairs. My husband came into the store bc I alerted him to a sale. My husband had lots of questions, for my cashier, as to where certain things were located. My cashier, being a transplant, didnt exactly know, so she called for help. She was so happy to help. She gave us great customer care. For this alone, makes JCPenny a great experience.

JC Penney is alive and well at Valley Mall. They have prepped their staff to go beyond smiling. They have everything and more. I loved the beach bags and zippered bags selection. Try an old favorite store that still keeps up with fashion.

Had a good selection of Liz Claiborne light summer fabric clothing and same for St Johns Bay as well.

This store has been in the mall for a very long time. Not something you can say about most stores these days. Its a classic, and Im glad to see it is still there.Its a big store and has two stories. Roomy and easy to to shop, lots to choose from. Ive always thought Pennys had good sales, and they still seem to. Quality clothing, too.Check-out areas can get cramped, they need a little more room for people to line up and wait. But other than that, not a bad store.

Pricing signs are very deceptiveREAD CLOSELY. The young lady that waited on me was more interested in a comment her boyfriend made as he walked past her than she was in waiting on me. I understand why they are closing.

I used to live this store. However, I understand why they are dying a slow death. I mean, you have to kind of compete on price. I went in to buy a belt to match a pair of boots that I bought at another store. The least expensive one was $30. I later went to Target and purchased one that was only a little different and paid $9. Also, they had Lee jeans at $37. Lee jeans at Kohls are 2 for $50.

I was looking for a dress for a special occasion. There were lots to choose from. I tried on many and found one perfect for my event. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The prices great!

This is not my fav store but I bought Fila sneakers on sale for $40. I tried looking elsewhere in Valley Mall, but ended back here.

Disappointed 😞. I ordered online for same day pick up at Valley Mall. Needless to say my order wasnt ready until they opened the next day even though I ordered 3 1/2 hours before closing time. I couldnt ship my package out as planned. There needs to be a better plan in place or they need to remove the disclosure that states if you order within 2 hrs of store close you can pick up same day!

Went to do a exchange and both ladys working was very rude and gave attitude for no reason. I was needing help in the shoe department also and that last wasnt helpful either. She didnt give me a straight awnser and my experience with bad.

Their selection of big and tall for men Fair selection only still kind of limited on sizes. Poor selection of shoes for women and no shoes available in wide width ever. Okay prices when you have a sale only. Small selection a proper handbags or wallets for men and women. Poor selection of jewelry and watches. Poor selection of jewelry boxes. Poor selection of plus sizes for women. Great selection of clothes for children and teens and regular women sizes.

Social distance not to well observed. Sales pretty good and 30 off with online coupon.

29 Nov 2018 - Lori left an amazing impression of what true customer service is all about. We did not feel rushed, she was smiling while chatting with us, so positive, no complaints, very personable, offered suggestions, made us laugh, and was all-around a lovely woman to receive service from. The store was also clean and not cluttered. The only poor experience was from the shoe department cashier (short red hair)--who was rude and snappy towards me.

Not happy, ordered online to pick up in store. After talking to many people who work there I finally was able to find the pick up area that had no signs up anywhere for you to see. You have to go up the escalator and to the very back of the store for pick up. The lady who helped me with pickup was very nice and said she would take care of the issue. On my way out I saw a manager adding a sign to the entrance that said online pick up in Home. Well if you have never been there you will not know where home is espically upstairs.

Staff were friendly & helpful. Signage was clear & easy to understand. Store was clean & organized.

Always love shopping with my husband, a young man that works in the mens department is always kind and very helpful. I never remember his name but his hair is awesome!!

Pick up for online orders has very poor customer service . They never call, text or email you the order has arrived. After my 3rd call to them on Sunday my order was finally there . When I went today 4 days later I find out they sent it back on wed . Wasn’t even in the store a week . I think instead of the help standing and talking about what drinks they like at the Olive Garden . They should be making phone calls letting people know their orders have arrived .

I get upset with what you have to go through when you take Jeans back, if they are on sale and dont fit you just cant exchange them. They charge you more i feel thats wrong if its the same jeans just different size.

I really like this store. Friendly staff, I can find what I am looking for, and shop for the whole family at reasonable prices and great sale prices. They are doing more with appliances now, but I hope the apparel, accessories, and shoes never go away.

With Macies leaving. In my opinion. JCPenney has become the top department store anchor in the mall. Decent selection. Many name brands of merchandise available. I noticed during my last visit. It appears they have discontinued selling appliances.

I guess I can be to surprised with the service, since their going out of business. I was at one of their stores today everythings one sale. Got two pair of Arizona mens pants for my husband that where supposed to be 22.99 instead of 42 dollars.i didnt realize until I got home and cant go back out today since their gonna be closing at 7. I tried calling customer service to see if it was me that misunderstood the pricing was on the phone for almost 30 minutes with no answer.

Great visit to JCP for Easter sale. Excellent sale pricing. -1 star because the shopping bag rack & the employee with the coupons were difficult to find.

Old Mall almost ready to close.

Big anchor store at the mall. I prefer the smaller size stores anymore. Beauty parlor and eyeglasses included. Lots of parking. Expect to spend some time there becayse it is do big.

Penneys in the Valley Mall in Hagerstownl is reminiscent of what Penneys was. Big store, a lot of merchandise and good prices. The Valley Mall is a nice,place to shop.

All Im saying is this is the type of person you want represent your store.

Penneys is a nice place to shop for the whole family. Great deals. If you cant find your size at the store you can order online and pick it up for free.

It was good, we went in looking for a evening gown for the mrs. And we were greeted at the door by an employee telling us to get to the boot department because they were haveing a sale, buy 1pair get 2 free, so we came out of there with 6 pairs of women boots.

The store was not busy and some of their price were good. My biggest complaint is that the customer has to track down the help to ask questions or purchase anything. I know that it is a weekday but each department should have someone to answer queries about sales etc. I am afraid that the store is on the same fast track as other retail stores in the valley mall..
