My father found this company because I was looking for solid core doors and everywhere else was double the price and sold out. We got 5 doors and I love them! Simple single panel door, modern and sleek. Would definitely use them again. The service was amazing and it was fast to load up.

I just had my door installed (Its a fiberglass speak-easy door). I bought it on sale two weeks ago for $599. Today it was delivered, the old one was removed, the new one was installed and new hardware was also installed. The installer even hauled away my old door for free(it was 20yrs old and very weathered).The installer Chance was on time, professional, very fast and did excellent work! It took just under three hours to complete and I am very pleased with the door and the installer. It was money well spent. The base installation fee was $275, plus another $50 for trim work. He also re-keyed the new hardware so it matched my existing house key.I had to paint the exterior trim that came with the door, because it was a white-primer. I immediately painted it with an off white/grey paint. So it better blends in with the brick, and protects it.I have posted my old door and the new door to give everyone a visual of the door and the great work done by Chance.There is one slight caveat that I had to address: The speak-easy door. There is a small gap when it closes. If the wind blows it you can hear it smack back and forth. I quickly fixed this (it was Chances idea) by putting a piece of small weather stripping at the top and bottom, to muffle the sound and better insulate the speak-easy door when its closed.

Price is great, I bought one in stock door, and that was a smooth transaction. Bought a second door that was a special order, paid 4/13, was told completion date was 5/11. Called to check status and was told there was going to be a delay was told it would be until mid July. I spent 3 months with out a front door on my new build.

The 5 stars are for the superb handling of a mix-up when placing the order for my door. After being notified that the door was ready for pickup, my son and grandson and I drove to Saginaw Surplus and picked it up. We placed it in my garage to wait for the installer to become available. Two weeks later, still waiting for the installer, I happened to discover that the door was four inches narrower than what I had ordered. I notified Sagainaw Surpluss staff. After discovering that they had made a mistake when placing the order, they immediately ordered the correct door and, after receiving it, delivered it to my house and took away the first door, all at no additional cost or effort to me. I was very pleased with the responsiveness of the staff at Saginaw Surplus, in particular Mr Corey Zackery, with whom most of my interactions took place.

The selection was decent for 36 exterior doors. The warehouse was clean. When I did talk to an employee they were friendly, but I think in general they could be a little more helpful in the warehouse for new customers. Also fyi they dont deliver. I didnt buy from here because I needed 32, but Id go back here to shop again if I ever did need another door.

The prices are a value.You can order to meet your specifications on handedness etc. I needed a smaller pantry door (18 width)...and it CAN be done!Special orders are completed within 2- 3 weeks. Most items are in stock and can be purchased and taken on same day.

Our experience started out great with good customer service. Our door was ordered and we were told we would be called when the door came in. After two weeks we called about the door and we were told that the wrong door had been shipped and that they had to wait for another one to be delivered. Totally understood that wasn’t their fault, but a phone call would have been nice. Our second door eventually came in, again no phone call, and my husband went to pick it up. We brought the door home and had it installed by a contractor. After installing the door, it was found that the active door on the French door is warped by more than half an inch. After sending emails with several pictures as requested, we have yet to hear back about our door. We have now been calling the store for almost a week to get a replacement. All they can say is that they are waiting to see what their manager says about it. When we asked to speak with a manager we were told that there are no managers on location and that someone would call us back when they found something out. So for now, we have a warped door that isn’t sealed from the outside temperatures and our kids can’t even open it to play in the backyard.

Great prices but wow what a pain in the behind to actually work with. We ordered doors for our build in December and it was placed and paid for 12/30 - we inquired on Monday 1/25 (over a week ago) to see if the order was ready because we needed to schedule delivery for February (2/3 or so) - the guy seemed pretty confused and said he didn’t THINK everything was ready but needed to look into it. On Tuesday (1/26) he emailed and said “looks like not everything’s here - I’m working on getting an update on your order”. We’ve tried calling back I every few days the past week, emailed as well - no response.We ended up scheduling the door delivery and looped the delivery company they work with in to try and see if they can get a response since we’ve now gone a week with silence on an order that’s been paid for a month. An order that was entirely what we were told was “in stock doors” except for ONE pantry door.Would love some kind of reply. This is awful communication and customer service on a large paid order.

I just had a sales person literally hang up on me after asking about a product. Then when I call back there is no manager there… highly doubtful horrible customer service!!! We buy at least 10 doors a month and will be taking our business elsewhere!!!!

So, ordered the doors! Paid! Waited! No follow up from the company! Didn’t arrive on time. Then my husband called last Friday and the guy says, “We are getting them today off the truck! If you want to head to Dallas tomorrow, they should be ready!” My husband says, no, we will get confirmation that y’all have them before we head to Dallas. We will come next Saturday! From Lubbock! No one called! My husband called several times, no return calls. No word the following Friday! Wife! Me...calls, and the dude actually answers the phone. Still saying he is unloading the trucks and will call us sometime Saturday afternoon, and let us know! Excuse after excuse! Dragging us along! We have a house to build, and days off taken to get doors! No effort was made to help us or to even tell the dam truth or follow through! We asked for a full refund!!! Even if I pay more somewhere else, they can keep em’.

Ordered custom doors back in mid-November 2020. Door of course was paid for in advance, I have been told multiple stories of how my door was not on the delivery truck this week. I have been told and promised that it was on/and schedule for delivery other weeks. I have been told they have no direct line of communication to their vendors in order to give any updates on possible delivery. When the door was originally ordered a custom door was scheduled for delivery between 4-6 weeks granted that end of schedule was 12-23-2020 and here we are just a few days from 2021 but WOW to hear that a wholesale distributor has no communication with suppliers pretty much sums up their customer support levels which are non-existant. If I had not already invested so much time I would bail on the purchase. My word of advise is I would think long and hard about purchasing any door you physically cannot leave with. I will post updates about quality and an official timeline of delivery to help the next potential customer. I can understand delivery issues with the time of year, I can understand COVID interfering with delivery, however I cannot understand not having a formal means for delivery updates for customers when timelines are not met. Very poor communication and very poor customer service.

Good products and great prices. Customer service sucks. First time there I asked for help because Ive never been there and the guy didnt even get up to greet me, he said just go and look for a door...well I had questions and didnt get a chance to ask.

Door order was correct on paper, then sketched wrong and built according g to the sketch, not the order, no one thought to question it, door was reordered, expedited, never showed up and noone thought to call the customer and inform them that the door they have waited on for a month, wasnt even going to come off the truck on the day they promised. Great selection of doors, also very well priced. My only frustration was they have all these doors, then you ask about installing and they say I can give this guy a call. They are in the sales business. Create a solution and make it easy for your customers. I called the installer, left a message, never got a callback. Therefore, I didnt buy a door from them.

I waited a long two weeks for my doors. Doors where shipped to the wrong location. I called constantly each day to check on my shipment. Then found out order was never actually completed after I paid over $1000 for my doors. Employees were very lazed and seemed unconcerned and mostly made it seem as if it was another vendors fault instead of taking responsibility and ownership of the mistake since I was buying directly from them. I wasted more money then I spent to take off to get the doors and reschedule contractors to install doors. When I asked for some type of accommodations for the mishap, they stated nothing more they could do. They even just put my doors in the truck any kind of way with no type of bubble wrap or anything to protect the doors since it was 3 panel glass French doors. Mind you the doors was white so when I received it due to the lack of protection, there was black staff all over the doors. This is the worst experience of customer service and buying I have ever experienced. Customer service in person is Trash.

I ordered a pair of double exterior wood doors and a single exterior door. They gave me an ETA for arrival but the day came and my doors didnt make it on the truck. However, they knew the doors were holding up my redo so they had them shipped directly to me as soon as they could. They were very helpful and considerate and when the doors arrived, they absolutely exceeded my expectations, especially given the price. I do some construction related work and have not found doors cheaper. Very impressed.

Great company to work with. Initially I bought my door from them. I bought a door they had on hand but they can do special orders. Lots of options to choose from. Great quality. I was in and out in no time. My contractor busted the frame during the install. Saginaw surplus worked with me to rebuild the frame and Angel hooked me up with a bonded contractor,named Kenneth Roman. Excellent job by Kenneth and team. Saginaw Surplus beat the 2 big hardware giants price too. Worth your time to check them out.

Ive purchased two doors from this company, and Ive been more than happy with my purchasing experience both times. As Im sure their inventory changes every day, you cant really trust the website to have what you are looking for. However, both times I found something online, I called before driving out there just to make sure they had the doors, and they did. They were more than pleasant to talk with on the phone, and were able to hold both doors until I was able to make it in the following day. Everyone Ive ever come in contact with during both shopping experiences have been extremely, nice, helpful and always willing to help load it into my truck. I ordered--and paid for--two doors last fall when I started remodeling my master bath. Unfortunately, the contractor turned out to be a flake (despite good reviews on HomeAdvisor), and the project stalled. Some months later I found a new contractor, gave him the work order # for the doors, but when he called, he was told that they had already been picked up! Since I never gave out the order # before now, I dont know how that happened. Ive been around and around with Saginaw Surplus about this, but they cant seem to locate the record of who signed for the doors or even when they were picked up. So Im out almost $500, and I have to find new doors. Im going to pay more at Home Depot, but since they require identification for pickup, at least I will get what I paid for.

Customer Service is everything! At first it was terrific and the prices were even better. I ordered my 1st set of doors and 1 of them came in wrong. I was supposed to have it within 2 weeks...I finally got it with my final order 2.5 months later. There was no communication on their end. This same door turned out to be the wrong door once again. I have called several times over the past 2 weeks and sent Angel a few emails asking for the door to be corrected or for a refund in the price difference with no avail. I am very disappointed in the way the communication and customer service has been handled since our first interaction. If ever needing doors again I would pay double the price for better customer service and things being handled in a timely manner.

After receiving it and installing it I noticed the trim pieces were missing that cover the joints between the side lights and the door. Adrian the store manager swore he, himself saw the (nail-in) installation of them. I sent pics showing no glue or nail holes, but he still accused me or my crew of removing them. They are 2 hours away roundtrip for me and he finally, after a lot of convincing, said I could come pick them up and install them myself. No apology or attempt to make it right by sending them with an installer..until I asked for the owners contact info. Then he was willing to send someone. He still wont give me the info on the owner. I would never do business with these people again. Terribly rude and unhelpful. My door was 2 weeks late, as well. No sense of customer service and very hard to deal with.

We have purchased from this company twice and intend to continue to buy from them. The only problem we have had was the long time it took to get the doors. Since they were ordered who knows who is responsible for the delay. Angel Hernandez had ordered the doors for us. He apologized for the delay and cutout our doors for free. They have always allowed me to examine sample doors before I purchase and after I purchase they let me check the doors over before they load them. I am always worried that the doors wont fit in our frame or hang right. Every door we have purchased fits perfectly. We are pleased with company.

We dont care...We dont need you.Bought a double glass door from them a couple years ago. One side of the glass started growing mold inside. I stopped by to ask them for a solution.The sales guy quickly pointed at the All Sales Final sign, as his defense. I said I did not want to return it but to find a way to fix it.We dont care....We dont need you.I have learned that a cheap door is not worth it, if it costs you double to replace it in a couple years.Worse than the cheap product, is the crude and defiant attitude toward their customers.

Yes I agree with the other reviews. I have still yet to get a returned call after many attempts. I drove over to the site (40 miles) to walk in and see two young men sitting behind the desk relaxing. I had asked why they have not returned my calls????I proceeded to order the doors I needed and still yet waiting to get my receipt sent to my e-mail.My conversation has only been via e-mail one time and I was told to check my spam.They dont return e-mails ether.Waiting for a receipt. Waiting for a call back and I do hope the doors that I ordered are in because it would be a wasted trip! I need that receipt and the doors.

Dont shop here, website said the size we needed was in stock. When we get there it is not and they only had one door that size and is solid wood so of course more expensive. Fine, we ordered the door told us 4 weeks. When it came in, they gave us a date to get out by or we lose it.showed up today to pick it up. First they couldnt find it, once they finally did the frame wasnt on it and handle wasnt cut. Told us to come back in 30 ish mins. When we did we see they cut the handle on the wrong side. I asked for a discount, guy said it was our fault we ordered it wrong. I told him when we ordered it we stood up and showed the guy which way it needed to open he put the wrong way down. Answer was Dont know what to tell you, you ordered wrong No customer service, no trying to fix it, and with attitude. Well never buy here again!

It takes about a month to get your doors sometimes, but Saginaw surplus saves you tons of money and their doors are way better than homedepot and Lowes prices. Also get fiberglass doors that will never fade rust or rot.

Horrible customer service. They do not offer returns and the door had slight damage. Avoid this place at all costs.

A little over priced and they do not do insulation and could not tell us the average price to have a door installed.
