The food was great. Waldorf salad and Cob salad both large and well prepared. The place was packed. No masked worn by patrons. The service felt rushed so just three stars. Desert is made on site. Many varieties. Plenty of parking. Handicap accessibility.
Our server was Brianna and she was very attentive and fast moving. One of the best servers I have had at any restaurant. Food was great especially for the price. Brianna recommended the chocolate mousse cheesecake for dessert, we tried it and it was amazing! At checkout the host was very nice, she seemed very professional. Very welcoming diner. We will be back!
Excellent service and delicious food. Even when it is busy! (And it often is) Real good breakfast food. Delicious lunch and dinner food. I do not eat seafood so cant comment on that.The food has been so good here that I may even risk trying meatloaf or a meal with stuffing. (Something a lot of diners try to french up and make what I think is inedible...)
Love this dinner! Very conveniently located close to the entrance of the Atlantic City Expressway and stop by with the family on our return trips from the shore. The blueberry pancakes are so fresh and delicious!
My wife and I did lunch at the Silver Coin while sightseeing on a recent trip to south Jersey to visit family. The place was packed, inside and out. That didnt slow down the service - at all. The staff are pros. Friendly, attentive, fun. And it was pretty obvious by the loud chatter and laughter that all of the diners were enjoying a good time with a good meal. Huge portions, great prices, great tastes. Theres nothing to not love about the Silver Coin.
Just left this place, the service was extremely good but the food was disappointing. My brother and I had the chicken and rice soup, next to no chicken in either bowl. Ordered a BLT and thought they forgot the bacon but no, it was only ONE PIECE broken in half on each half of the sandwich. What a joke, cant even provide a decent amount of meat. What you get does not even justify the prices one bit. Out of all the diners Ive been to, Ive never seen such a scarce amount of meat.

Everything you want in a diner--tons of food options, good portions, comfort food, clean interior, laid back decor, well trained staff, good service, etc. Old school vibe. 5/5 stars would go again. I mean, hey--they have an item called disco fries on the menu as seen in the pic, fries with cheese and gravy on them. Whats not to like?
I was here for a meeting and ordered an appetizer that began with an A, I forget, it sounded like fancy mozzarella sticks balls but with provolone for $10. It was good, but you only got 4 of them. It didnt taste any different than mozzarella sticks, couldnt taste the provolone, but there was green liquid stiff in the center that didnt really have a flavor. Maybe I missed it on the menu, was it avocado? Add a 5th ball, its $10... 4 stars.
As always, the good was excellent. I took a gamble and order Chicken Parmigiano, if youve ever ordered this from any restaurant you know 90% of the time the chicken is dry, overcooked or both. Not today! The chicken was moist, the marinara wasnt watery and the breading wasnt too thick or dry and it was seasoned perfectly. With a side of spaghetti it was a great meal. Service was clean, friendly and quick. My dinner companion ordered the lasagna and said it was hearty full of cheese and meat. It looked amazing! Warning ⚠️ bring your appetite the chicken was the size of my plate and the lasagna was a healthy portion.
Service was very good. They were out of crab and the pot roast. I had haddock which was fine. I asked to exchange mashed potatoes for the fries. Still got fries but she brought mashed when I told her. Should have stuck with the fries. I dont think the mashed were real. At least they didnt taste like they were. The person that wanted the pot roast got chicken croquettes and they were all stuffing with some weird looking gravy on top. The other dishes were spaghetti, cod and broiled shrimp which were liked. But three out of five people couldnt get their first choice. Freezing cold inside.
Staff just served 52 people in my group in less than 1 1/2 hrs. Excellent food and service. Portions are large enough to share! Love this place.
Food is good but I have to give the two stars for service when calling for a take out order.I had country fried steak for breakfast with my father last week. We both even agreed it was the best we have had. So I called for takeout tonight. The person who answered the phone had no idea if they even had it there so she put a server on the phone. This server also said she didnt know then she told me they didnt have it its not on the menu... I explained I had it the other day and it is on the menu. Funny because it is on their menu... On their website! Just to confirm. Im just annoyed that no effort was made... Like go ask the chef... Study your menu. They should want to make customers happy and know what they do and do not serve if they dont then then they should go the extra 20 steps to the kitchen and educate themselves.

Crab Eggs Benedict was fantastic. Server was Vera and she was the BEST. All of our dishes were fantastic. Our whole family had a great experience. Recommended!
It was ok they can put a little love in their work their. My dad had the flounder special it was greasy and all breading no flounder burgers were overcooked. Need a better cook in the kitchen this one is lazy.

Absolutely outrageous prices. We recently ate at a very high end, authentic Ukrainian/Mediterranean restaurant for the same amount of money. I will never go here again. Beware, the pricing is ludicrous.

Another great diner and another great breakfast. Met up with some coworker for a retirement brunch. They seated the 7 if us with ease. The food was excellent, the coffee was great and they didnt mind us tying up the booth for a bit after the bill was paid. Overall a great diner and a great place to eat. If your in the Hammonton area, and are looking for great food with great prices, be sure to stop in at the Silver Coin Diner.

WOW!!!! ITS WORTH GOING HERE!!!! YOU WONT REGRET IT!!! I never even heard of this place til I was taken there Jan 9, 2021. The service/waitress was GREAT and so was the setting. The people are KIND and so were the other customers. As for the food .... I was surprised at the size of my platter. Its as if I left with a 2nd dinner. I was served more than I expected. My friend warned me to be careful what I order and that one serving isnt small like other places. He was right. I got full and still had a lot in my plate. I CANT WAIT TO GO BACK. Now I definitely know where to go in the future when in Jersey.

Busy on a Friday night. Very business like host who could maybe lighten up and enjoy that he is busy and put on a more welcoming tone. Unspectacular food. Bland and little imagination on items that could be easily improved. For example, salad ingredients. Loads of lettuce but skimpy on the other ingredients.

Typical diner fare. Very busy on a Thursday night but the waitresses were friendly and available.I had the Buffalo chicken salad drenched in hot sauce. Unfortunately I rarely give a 3 star rating but the waitresses were having a loud conversation the they were vacuuming next to tables that were eating the coffee was cold the soup was curdled. Definitely not memorable in a good way.

Worst Diner I’m South Jersey!!! Customer service is horrible. Ordered a salad and got something completely different. Man at the register complained about me calling. Sorry I got the wrong thing and I want it fixed!!! Getting the wrong item and was charged more is not ok. Went back so they could correct it like promised over the phone and once I arrived the man acted like he was doing me a favor! He didn’t fix anything and just proceeded to give me attitude. Picked up my new order and it was once again wrong. I’m Sorry but how do you mess up a salad and charge someone $21 for that because you were wrong. I have been going to this diner for over 16 yrs and I will not be back!!! It’s definitely gone down hill!!!!

My daughter and I stopped in for lunch for the first time. She ordered belgium waffle and home fries. I had a turkey club that came with cup of soup, FF, coleslaw and a pickle. Took half my club home. Food prices were in line with portions. I thought the beverages were expensive: $3.50 for chocolate milk & $2.99 for a glass of ginger ale. The waitress was quick, friendly and attentive. Would go back.

This place is amazing. Definitely one of me and my girlfriends breakfast spots and we always make sure to come at least twice a month. The staff are all crazy nice and genuine and the food is really good. This is also one of the only places we could find that serves scrapple (big ups for my philly and jersey peeps) definitely eat here if you have the chance
