Great food, and good prices. Avoid the chaos at Walmart, and enjoy a stress free shopping experience. Also the meat selection is amazing, they offer seasoned and un seasoned beef, chicken and pork, along with lots of seafood, and cheese ect.. a must go if your in the area..

Went in at 3pm. They were out of bread, breakfast sausage. There were out of stocks all.over the store!The deli lady was eating with gloves on and than waited on me with the same gloves on!

I live in Fresno but work in Hanford. I was very pleased to find out that Hanford now has a store with not just Mexican products but they serve aguas frescas, tacos, burritos and there are other food choices. I really like the melon drink which is made with real melons. They have a nice Mexican bakery inside. I enjoyed my purchase of pan dulce which they had a special price of 5 pieces for $3.00. I almost forgot, they make their tortillas there. Freshly made tortillas just have a better taste than the standard packaged tortillas. Make a trip out there for some groceries or some good tacos.

The first time I went to this market for a cake was about a year ago. I wasnt disappointed then, and I wasnt today. With only a couple pictures i showed the woman in the bakery she was able to make this years a birthday to remember. The price, you cant beat. the cake itself, beautiful. thank you guys, it was delicious.

Best tortillas we go on Saturdays to get them freshly made. Also great selection of meat and fresh chicharons, salsas, crema, pastries and chorizo.

Their meat and fish are old and stay there until it’s finished. Bought shrimp from here 3 times and every time it tasted absolutely disgusting. I love fish and it’s obvious it has been there for a very long time. Their meat is not very good at all either it staring to turn brown. They have very slow service and have to wait a long time for someone to help you out.

Meats gone bad!!!!! I would post zero stars but it doesnt have that option! Negative stars if possible!! I bought chicken for the next days dinner and it was bad!! It had a very foul smell!!!! I returned it and received a refund but they didnt care about the issue!!!!! The manager Al just brushed me off with a quick Sorry and walked away!!! Shame on you!!!!!

For the Grand Opening it was amazing to see the brans new store all colorful and neatly arranged. What caught my eye was the produce department at a affordable price. Reminded me of LA Valletta. One section they had a food court, freshly made tortillas and so much more. Hanford needed another grocery store due to the population of Hanford. El Rey is already a big success and the employees are friendly and greet you with a smile. El Rey has that Mexican touch that makes it so inviting. So spread the word to family and friends El Rey is the place to shop.

The store is great & service but the meat department just sold me some ground beef that i brought home & cooked no bueno(not good). My two dogs would not eat it either & they love ground beef. Harris Ranch are you listening. Not sure if it went bad but they are still trying to sell it.

Fresh food when we shopped tonight including the meat. Melissa the cashier (terminal 4- 2/22/20) has a bad attitude. She needs to find a new job NOT working directly with customers. I would like to continue shopping here but dont want to deal with her again. Witnessed something entirely unprofessional.

Food is good maybe a bit pricey, but Im giving one star because i wanted to order food here but none of the workers helped me. I waited by the counter and they stood there saying nothing. Ladies at the bakery are stuck up. Also I saw one of the managers yelling at some customers. (The owner is not even Mexican, this place is only by Arabians just an fyi)

Not only is it a mexican store, they have a good variety of prepared food and a juice bar. There is also seating available. You can eat and then go grocery shopping. I liked the pupusas and chicken tinga. They have so many options.

Very rude lady @ fresh water and juice section never said hi I smiled @her and she just turned her face and left me standing without asking if I wanted anything for a while I was telling everyone this is a nice place but now will do oposite 😡😡😡even if you don’t like the person for whatever reason or if you don’t like your job don’t take it on people who don’t know your life we don’t go to get anything free we are paying for a service 😡😡😡

I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. I ordered a torta and more than half of it was vegetables and mayonnaise and the meat was colder than the vegetables. And the bread was the worst it fell apart in my hands because of all the vegetables that were stuffed in there. Your better going off to Cisneros.

Beautiful store, helpful and friendly staff.... but the last time I was there,a lot of the produce was old, and some was even rotten. The meat dept smells badly. I dont think pork is supposed to be green....

So I will say that overall it does deserve the 5 stars, here is a more granular rating depending on what you seek:Store or Market:Great selection of authentic mexican products, from classic spices, packaged goods, candies, etc.They also carry a large selection of produce and fresh items.Carniceria:Here youll find a large selection of meats, including the meats that most of us mexicans love to cook with (lengua, cabeza, tripas, sesos, etc.) They also carry your typical beef cuts, chicken, and so forth.In this area you also find freshly made items like ceviche, salsas (many types), queso de puerco, etc.Panaderia:They have a large selection of fresh made pan dulce, bolillos, cakes, individual size pastries, and even those cheese and jalapeño stuffed bolillos (my fav.).Restaurant/TaqueriaHere is where things take a bit of a dive. They do carry a few items that are good and a staple of any carniceria/taqueria, such as, carnitas, chicharrones, and pollos rostisados. I cant, however, say that I like the average taco and burrito options. Theyre ok, not great. If Im stopping by for something else, Id eat here, but I wont go just for the Taqueria. The other issue is they take a long time to fill an order. Ive waited 15-20min for a burrito and no it wasnt busy that day. I definitely would not deter you from stopping in and trying some of the food yourself.Like I said, overall, a great place, large selection, and I will wrap up by saying that their customers service is A+. The friendly staff always makes for a welcoming environment.

Everything is good in fresh there but some of the prices are still a little steep

This weekend, we bought diced chicken for tacos and it was horrible. As soon as I opened the bag it smelled bad and it was slimmy as I poured it into the pan!... disgusting.I also bought chorizo and it smelled like it was made weeks ago! Horrible. They need to learn to inventory there meat department and stop trying to sell meat gone bad... I like what the offer but they need some health/sanitary control in there. I always recommend checking dates and ur products. If u decide to shop here

I love going to there bakery they have such amazing desserts

Witnessed the entrance doors close on a fragile elder Mexican lady. I was ready to check out around the same time the people she was with checked out. They tried to get a managers attention on the incident and he didn’t look like he cared to seek medical attention to her. This happened weeks ago, I don’t shop here anymore because of how I witnessed him handle that issue.

Great Mexican market! Some items can be a bit pricey but definitely understandable for quality. Great atmosphere and music wherever you are! With the included taqueria, panaderia, and tortilleria, there’s so much variety as to what you can buy here. Would come back again for sure.
