I use to love this place. Today, I went there to buy some sweets. So, I did. Came home, open it and..guess. all chocolate is melted before and has a old color. I understand, it was a hurricane, no power, but at least do not sale bad stuff.

World Market, what happened?!? I love this store, but they no longer carry as many items as they used to. It seems like they’re cutting back drastically. With that said, you can still find a bunch of unique items specific to other countries. The wine/beer/specialty drink area is pretty extensive, so that’s definitely worth checking out. I also like the greeting card section, which carries some unique and decent priced options.

This is my favorite World Market. The associates here are excellent! I walked through the store today for some snacks and I Easter goodies, and I was greeted and asked if I needed anything by two associates. Super helpful/knowledgeable too! I overheard one of them recommending some Japanese snacks that she loved. Fast checkout as well. I’ve gone to other stores, this one is hands down the best.

I always end up getting more than I came in for. I even plan on it but that doesnt help. And the staff is friendly, engaged and knowledgeable.

Gotta love World Market. They have everything you need to decorate every room in your house. They also have special chocolate and wines. Love all their Mediterranean & East Indian inspired home decor. Their prices are a little steep so things could be better in that aspect but you can find things on sale or on clearance that works for you. You can also join their points club to get discounts and rewards. Overall I love going there. I always find something great.

I used to love going here for my European snacks, but the prices are way too high now to enjoy the experience. Plus recently they keep leaving expired food on the shelves. If they just labeled it for discount I would have bought a lot of it. Instead they have ended up throwing away so many delicious food items. My options are limited here in Louisiana and if I can no longer rely on World Market for my goods Ill just have to go online.The 3 stars is for their direct trade coffee, its ace!

I particularly like the selection of international foods here. You can find things that arent carried in supermarkets or Asian Markets. The wine selection is modest, yet interesting. There are attractive wall hangings and some home decor, but not as much as in the past. Its kind of a recreational shopping place.

Always a pleasure coming to World Market. The one minor complaint i do have is the non interaction with customers. I know Covid, but you could at least say good morning or good afternoon you know.

I love World Market! I do find the store to be rather expensive, but if you register online you can often get coupons. There are many unique items that cannot be found anywhere else. The clothing is different, yet pricey. I feel the same way about the wine assortment. There are very nice bottles, but they often priced higher than in the local grocery stores. I love the assortment of imported chocolates and food Goods. The Home Furnishings are nice, but again not an expensive.

Store is not as cluttered as it used to be. But the prices seemed to climb a bit on their merchandise.

Went in for the first time today. Walked around thinking this is absolutely my type of store. Picked up a few things but was mostly just browsing, trying to kill time. What really made me unable to fully enjoy my visit is that I was stalked by who I assume was the plain clothes Asset protection guy (having worked in retail previously). From the front of the store to the back and to the checkout line, he was never far. I had no bag with me and was wearing jeans, cant imagine why he felt he needed to follow me throughout the store. I get that he is only doing his job and stores need him. Im just saying that I did nothing to deserve his stalking and it really actually made me nervous and unable to enjoy my visit. In fact, I felt compelled to buy something for fear that he may really think that I was stealing, if I left empty handed. Dont get me wrong, he never approached me or was inappropriate technically but the whole thing just put me off. Which is sad because as I said, the store really appeals to me.

Hands down the worst customer service. No one is the store is willing to help you look for products. This store also lacks on inventory on particular items. The staff recommended me to drive to Harvey to buy a product, I will make my purchase on Amazon. That way I can get it shipped for free and no traveling involved. Poor customer service is the reason physical stores are suffering.

Dont go that often, but always enjoy when I go .😊Great prices for some gourmet goods.

I love world market, but I lost my respect for this location. The staff always is playing around rather than checking out customers. At one time I was waiting in line to checkout when some guy came out of no where and was not part of the other shoppers in front of us, cut the line and was able to check out without any cashier tell him anything and they even watched him cut the line! To top it off the cashier started flirting with him rather than doing her job. Very disappointed. I put my stuff down where I stood and walked out.

From shopping at the original location in SF, Ca almost forty years ago, to the present, it is clear, this company thinks of their customers as very stupid today. Having bought dozens of cases of wine from this company in the past, and, receiving emails for the last two weeks, claiming an additional 15% off when purchasing 1/2 case at a time, discovered that only applies to magical wine, once you fall for the gimic. The signs in the store, do not qualify that, so, after I check out with over $80 of wine, I discover I was stupid for trusting this current company. Dont worry WM, I took care of the problem. Emails go to spam, and, money goes to Walmart. Whoops, no problem.

First off when we first walked in nobody that worked there told us Hello, second was the bathroom was disgusting, no one should be using the bathroom there, management needs to step in and make sure people are doing there job Ownership in your job, we have been shopping there since it open did not spend money there today and something needs to change
