HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Took my 2009 Ford here on recommendation from a family member and I couldn’t be more satisfied. Even though Momentum had a packed schedule, they did all they could to get my car fixed in a timely manner. The mechanic who rode with me to identify the problem was incredibly knowledgeable and explained the issues in detail and in plain language. Plus, the cost was less than I expected. Always a wonderful surprise. To top it off, my car is soooo quiet now (I had motor mount issues, amongst others). I honestly think it’s quieter and runs smoother than when I first bought it nearly 12 years ago. Momentum is top notch!

Buster and Cynthia Armstrong were extremely professional and worked around my familys ever-changing schedule to get my BMW in and out in one day. Additionally, routine maintenance work that I thought was needed, was checked and removed from the ticket because it was unnecessary at this point. Absolute perfect example of customer service and integrity! I would highly recommend this service shop to anyone in the RGV.

After trying for days myself to fix an issue since mechanics nowadays will completely take advantage of the average customer, I gave up. Googled mechanics in my area and some of the first ones I myself have had issues with in the past. Came across Momentum, reviews could not have been more precise to the experience you will have with Buster. Stopped by just to inquire and gave Buster a brief detail on my issue. Buster took time away from what he was working on the try and assist. Found problem and set a date to bring my car back. Very knowledgeable man. More than fair in his pricing. Definitely an honest man and mechanic. HIGHLY recommend. You WILL NOT be disappointed. Can honestly say this is a honest and more than fair mechanic. 👍 👍

I work with Express towing and Ive taken lots of cars there because there are great mechanics good service.

Called and was on the line for like 15 minutes only for the guy to abruptly cut me off and say they were backed up and booked till september, waste of time not worth dealing with again

They basically told me what I had told him what was wrong with my truck and they said they couldnt fix it waste of time

I really liked the people here. Extremely friendly and they just seemed very honest and fair. Wish I lived closer. Id use them more often.

I had them check out my VW Touareg which was having all sorts of issues. They were courteous and professional throughout. Although they didnt fix the issue since its transmission related, they didnt end up charging me for the checkup. Great customer service, I will definitely return and Im getting ready to, with another one of my vehicles!

Unfortunately I have to edit my review. After a year in this shop, Yes an entire year. I get my vehicle back in worse condition than when it was dropped off. And the kicker; I still got charged for the attempt to fix it. I received back a non-working vehicle that I had to pay to get towed away or else Id get charged a tow fee and a storage fee with the local wrecker. The shop where the vehicle was taken to now quickly and efficiently found and solved all my problems. Im sorry but this place has to go. Its an understaffed and overworked group that do not get it. You are expected to accept their BS excuses over and over. I thought it was the norm until my vehicle was taken to another shop in north mcallen. In the end this is my fault for taking my vehicle here and trusting these people to do a good job.

Momentum Automotive was recommended to me over 7 years ago and I dont go anywhere else to have my vehicles serviced as they have excellent customer service. It is a very friendly and inviting atmosphere. They have always been very fair and honest with my vehicle repairs which is something that is rarely found in many repair shops nowadays. Therefore, I would highly recommend Momentum Automotive to anyone who is in need of having their vehicle serviced. I feel that they will be just as highly satisfied as I have been. Very knowledgeable group. Was somewhat disappointed this time. Asked for a once over and oil change so we could make a 3,000 mile trip. They added the windshield washer fluid, but as we head out, no fluid sprays so apparently the pump doesnt work. Nothing major, but still not safe.

Did good work getting my starter back up and running, tjey recommended a cleaning rather than replacement to start, and a year later its still going. Saved me a little bundle.

Great service. Its hard to find a mechanic you can trust, but these guys shoot straight and help you understand what needs to be done first, if you are on a budget. After getting screwed elsewhere in Harlingen, Im glad I found this place. Ive saved a ton of money by coming here instead of other shops. Best auto repair in Harlingen, in my opinion.

Harlingen is very lucky to have such a trustworthy shop! In a time when many take advantage of the elderly or of women, Momentum has proven itself three times now in taking care of my moms older Mercedes C320! Recently, they took the time to try to fix a trunk latch, and even after being forced to replace it with a new part of MB, their bill was very reasonable. I normally do all my own work, so to find a shop in another town that my mom can trust was truly a blessing!

So good they are always busy. Excellent for newer and older automobiles. Honest, kind, and caring owners.

Dropped my car off and 10 weeks later they still had not worked on my car. They called me to pick it up since they dont have time to work on it. When I picked up my car, parts where missing. They had lost them. Horrible communication. Ended up taking my car to Nissan Dealership. They had it fixed in 3 days. Dont go to these people. Not worth $90 an hr.

This is a great mechanic shop to take your vehicle. The mechanics there really know what they are doing and it comes out to a very reasonable price. I know a lot of people with very expensive cars well take the car to momentum rather than the super overpriced dealership.

The altenator stopped working on my pickup. a new one is $380. i took it to momentum auto. buster did some checking and it is the voltage regulator. i would not have known the difference if he had replaced the alternator. his honesty and integrity is intact and i cant recommend him high enough as there arent anymore stars. ron

Ive taken my truck here twice and had very good experiences. One was to change out 8 diesel fuel injectors, a pretty big job. They noticed my air conditioning wasnt working and offered to look at it. Turned out to be a leaking valve, and they replaced it for a few dollars. The other repair I had them do was replacing the carrier bearing on the drive shaft. Couple years on now and everything working good! Labor prices were fair and hours charged were in line with what my research suggested was appropriate.This is where I take my vehicles to have them fixed because they have been fair, honest and professional.

Charging double to fix my oil leak .compared to other shops other shop 300 them 600 .Also a performance shop

Took my Santa Fe to the dealership and they said, well it could be 3 or 4 things, fix all of them for $800+Took my car here and they said, no way, its this one issue, $160.I consider that a $640 savings and my car runs amazingly well!
