Best for Thrifting clothing not home items.I’ll start off with the positives. Every time I’ve entered the store it is clean and organized. The clothing is in good condition for the most part. People have to understand that with Thrifting some days will be a hit and some will be a miss. You have to go in to any thrift store with patience, time, and a plan. If you’re going in there with a budget then focus on the color tags for the week only. Sometimes I leave with 1-2 items and other times bags full. Yes there are overpriced items but I just move along. I still am fine with the prices because I’ve been to thrift stores were the exact type of pieces are double or triple the price because Thrifting is “trendy” now. Now for the negatives. My honest opinion if you’re looking for home decor…this isn’t the place. Small selection, most looks like junk, and overpriced. I also gave 4 stars because they should bring their Monday Dollar Days Back at least once a month.

Excerpts from their mission statement (above);“Incredible selection of unique items at bargain prices” & “high quality merchandise at reasonable prices”This store is flooded with items that you can honestly find at the Dollar Tree store for only $1. Here, these donated items are priced at 100% to 209% over retail price.I stopped by today and there were about 5 different shoppers pointing out the disgrace of over pricing (pictures below). One shopper went to ask an employee about a box of 50 envelopes (that you can get anywhere else for $1) about the astronomical price of almost $9 for the item, and they responded that corporate priced then that way.If you are looking for office supplies, Walmart, Target, and Office Depot have them at a real bargain.I demand to know what worthy charities we are really helping with our purchases...

I have only been here twice in a span of 5 years. If you have extra time to waste like 30 minutes or so to pass the time while you wait for an appointment or something I can definitely recommend. They had some okay things BUT definitely overpriced. I only bought one pair of jeans that I really loved. Would I go again? yeah if I am in the area and have nothing to do.

By the Rio Grande Valley low wage standards they are too over priced, and some things put out for sale are just junk . Thats your for - profit organization .

Great store. Well organized. Clothing sorted by color and size. Great prices.

The line was way too long. Not enough cashiers on register. The changing rooms were not open which if you think logically has no real reason behind it. The prices on many of the items werent not as low as you hope for at a thrift store but all of the clothes were in good shape.

The prices have gone up the roof. It’s donated stuff yet there’s clothes I bought at Ross for cheaper at Ross and overpriced here. It’s a waste of time if you like to find good deals. A printer for 40 dlls that I can get for 25 for new? Y’all are seriously over your heads. You give out discounts once in a while and it’s still pricey as hell, and you never find the colored tags on discount.It used to be a great store, now they’re just trying to take people’s money. I recommend a goodwill any other day, way less pricey.

One of the people that works their Irma Duran was very helpful very polite showed me what I needed took me where I needed told me about the discounts told me about everything that was there I really really enjoyed my shopping experience because of her

We are eBay sellers and shop here to find good deals for resale. Over the past few months their prices have increased to a point where its almost not worth the effort. Rarely find half price colors. The womens bathroom is usually dirty and always smells bad.

I love this store, affordable good quality clothes, theres always new options when I go, and the employees are always professional and courteous.

I enjoy going to my Texas Thrift store but Ive notice that they raised the price on all things. I am a senior and Im in a budget so Ill be buying less.

They remove close that has the color of day when those days comes so people can pay more and employees get discounts when ever and thats not how it works very disappointing cheat people out of buying good clothes all the jewelry they get the women in the back steal products

Some good stuff but not as good as it used to be. There was more of a selection before now it is just like at Goodwill and Salvation Army.

Lots and lots of clothes purses back packs linen housewares pillows etc.

Originally came to buy old worn out clothes I could use for crafts but instead I found the cutest dresses and blouses. Spent 4 hours here! Definitely worth it. The employee who rang me up was kind and conversational. Definitely better than going to goodwill! 💞

Parking has been remodeled and its much easier to find a spot to park while you shop.The store itself is very well kept and sanitizing procedure are in effect for those willing to shop inside.

Thrift store more like regular prices as if it were new

Went the night before and found some cloth diaper flats 2 for 3.98 that are normally 2.75 each new. I got a few since I didn’t have much on me and went back the next day to get more spending a good 20 mins going through checking for holes or stains just to be told They would no longer sell me them two for 3.98 even tho they were All I mean at least 12 flats paired in twos for (3.98) and started claiming they were 3.98 each which is more then new flats even though they were used. I even stated it and mentioned that they have a whole lot paired together in the back showing 3.98 and yet still they claim someone spend time pairing them all together leaving them there to confuse customers 🙄 clearly they don’t know how to price and they don’t even bother checking actually prices for items no one in their right mind is gonna spend more on used items

Texas Thrift use to be a good place where you could find some great deals, but in recent years it seems like its becoming harder and harder to find quality items. I know of at least one Antique Store that comes here to buy stuff to resale at exorbitant prices in their own store. I suspect that others might be coming here to get supplies for cheap, in order to sell at their own stores or on ebay, making the pickings slim for the rest of us who are just looking for a bargain. I think this might also be the reason why Texas Thrift has raised their prices. I imagine theyre trying to find a balance thats cheap enough for their regular customers to afford, but high enough so to make it less profitable for scalpers.

Went by the other day and cc machine was down so I called today before I made a trip clear to harlingen to make sure the cc machine was working they told me yes. So I went spent a good 45 minutes to a hour looking around and gathering a few items for the kiddos just to go check out and be told the machine was not working. Was not Happy at all .

The store is organized most times Ive visited. There is usually someone at or close by the check out counters, so you dont have to be running around to find an attendant. So far, no complaints about customer service. Prices are a bit steep if you are a reseller, but as a consumer, it might be worth it, depending on the item. 3/5 stars due to pricing. If you go down to Brownsville, Tx, there are 4 Thrift stores, and for the most part, prices are much cheaper when comparing similar items (clothes, vintage items, latch hook kits, stuffed plush dolls, electronics).

I used to find a ton of stuff. The last two years have been disappointing. The prices have gone up. Why one shirt $3 and another $8?

My favorite thrift shop in the valley due in large part to adequate organization. The store is very neat considering it is a thrift store, and in fact has clearer signage than most department stores. The prices may be a bit overdone, however they do have $.99 mondays which offer good deals if you come early.

I used to love the store but now many of the clothes are priced the same as if you were to buy new. I dont go as often anymore. And i agree, they take out the clothes with tags that are suppose to be discounted.

For profit thrift store generally with two colors of pricing tags on sale. Mostly clothing with some housewares. Some good values to be had.

I like to stop by there now and then only when Im looking for something in particular that im not willing to pay retail for especially if its gonna be a one time use. The prices have gone up quite a bit but it somethimes worth it rather than paying full price. For example, today my visit was to look for a pqir of heels for a quinceañera I didnt want to pay $25 for a new pair of shoes that im never going to wear again. They not even close family so it doesnt even really matter lol. And I did find a designer pair for only $6!! So I do definitely recommend just the prices on some items are a little crazy other than that great. Thats why the 4 stars.

I like Texas Thrift Store. Yeah the prices are kind of to high. I only go on Mondays or when they got 50 percent off. The only thing I hate is that on Mondays people who resell it grab everything they, then they just leave it anywhere. They dont give other people a chance to get nothing.

This is the most expensive thrift store ever. It is ridiculous,the prices themselves. Instead of helping u save money this place is ripping u off. The merchandise should speak for itself its dirty,worn down and torn. I went to look for a pair of flats for my little girl and the shoes look beat up and they want to charge u eight dollars for that I can go to Wal-Mart and but a new pair for less than their prices. My family stopped going there because they suck!!

Everything is real expensive in this store. They forgot that all they have in there are donations but yet they keep pricing everything very expensive, all items are used and old but priced like new.
