Our son had a tire explode on I-83 on his way to college. AAA towed his car here. They were very helpful and fixed up his car the next morning. Thanks for all the help!

Had tires shipped here from tirerack. I literally had no physical contact with anyone. It was great! Bought online, scheduled on the phone, dropped my car off the day before, tires installed no questions asked (they were not the stock tire size,) paid over the phone and picked up my car that night. EXCELLENT SERVICE at a very competitive price. I will definitely be returning here for all my future tire services.

My colleague recommended this mechanic when my check engine light came on. They went out of their way to fit me in, diagnosed the issue for me (including contacting the dealer with questions) and generously did not charge me for their time. I ended up taking the car to the dealer because it turned out to be warranty work, but I would definitely go back to them for future work. I recommend checking them out!

I will never again go back! First major problem is that they have no respect for anyone’s time. Be prepared to have your car there for at least 2 to 3 times what they tell you, even if you’re waiting. They will start the work and then disappear out of the garage while you’re waiting in a gross room, and they don’t come back to update you or anything. Next issue is that if you ask questions, disagree with anything, or cause them to do more work, you get an instant attitude. Goes from friendly to rude really fast! And the hourly rates are insane so you might as well go to a quality dealer. Very disappointed!!

The IRS gets a five star rating as far as customer service Compared to some of the employees. I was told to my face that my time will be wasted waiting because I made them wait one day because The insurance card I turned in for an inspection was my expired one. The correct one was brought the following day. These guys aren’t hard up for time considering that all of the employees were standing around in the garage literally doing nothing. Ed made me wait 45 minutes to fill out my inspection stickers and told me that it was because I made him wait a day to bring in the correct paperwork. And don’t you dare even think about trying to use a check because Ed will let you know that that doesn’t even exist in this world anymore and he also insulted one of his own employees thinking they told me I could use a check when no one did. Do yourself a favor spend a couple extra dollars and go somewhere else this place is basically Jiffy Lube but with terrible customer service. I’ll pay anybody $20 to sit inside there waiting room for five minutes.There are a lot of options as far as groceries are concerned in this area good luck

Amazing experience! Ed went above and beyond to locate the correct part for my vehicle and was able to get it in the same day! He was great about keeping me updated of his progress and the pricing was extremely fair. Cant recommend enough!

Took my car here for inspection/emissions. Was quoted $75. Dropped my car off at 7am. Called for a status around noon and was told since I didnt tell them it was urgent they put those jobs off until later in the day. ?????? Then I get a call til late afternoon and I was told that my windows had to have the tint removed or my car would not pass inspection despite the fact I had my car inspected here last year and they passed my car, the same vehicle in the same condition last year. They charged me $100 extra to remove the tint and left a large amount of the adhesive on my back windshield. I have been to several other shops since who told me that my back windshield is ruined, either it will be forever sticky or the defroster will be inoperable, no workaround. My fiance just got her car inspected down the street, cost less, and her car was in and out in ~1hour.Overcharged, waited a lot longer for a job that should have taken very little time, and got my car back with a non-repairable problem that wasnt there when I dropped it off. I wish they would communicate internally better. There were some bumps in service because of miscommunications. But overall my experience with them has been very good. They have sufficient staff and facilities to get the job done and try really hard to help the customer know whats going on. Not to mention they have a cozy waiting room that feels like Im at home in my living room

We were stuck at a Cracker Barrel off of Rt 81 near Harrisburg, Pa last Saturday afternoon. Check engine light was on and the engine was running very rough. The local Honda dealers wouldnt even take a look to see what was wrong (said they were too busy). We found a mechanic (Ed, owner of Derry Auto & Tire) who would help us, but we were relying on AAA to tow us there. H&S Towing was supposed to tow the car by 1:57 pm, then changed to 2:35 pm, then changed to 2:59 pm, then changed to 3:36 pm. Called Ed back. Even though he was scheduled to close at 4pm, he came by and towed us back to his garage. He also sent another mechanic to pick up my wife, daughter and her friend. He told me not to worry, he would get us back on the road. Within 45 minutes, he figured out what was wrong and gave us a very fair price to fix it. Then he had a mechanic drop us off at a nearby shopping center for a couple of hours while they worked on the car. We got picked up at 7pm, the car was ready and we were able to make it back home. Thanks to Ed and his team for being the only ones to help. Friendly, professional, amazing customer service. Wish we lived closer (2 hours away) so we could give him all of our business. (And Sparky the dog is great!)

We were traveling from Philly to Ohio on the Fourth of July and had a car issue along the way. Of course being a holiday no one was open. The woman who answered their towing service line was SO nice and agreed to meet us at their shop even though they were closed. They fixed our problem and we were back on our way within an hour. They went above and beyond - we would have been stuck overnight if it were not for them! Friendly and quick, couldn’t have asked for more!

They are very professional. I love getting same day service with simple issues involving my vehicle. They keep me on track with oil changes and my inspection.

I broke down on the highway. That is usually about the most stressful experiences you can have I didnt know the area, I didnt know any mechanics. I was introduced to Derry Tire and auto by my insurance company who contacted them to send nthe tow. Fist off, Derry has an on staff tow truck and at least one dedicated driver. Over the phone, the technical appointment person was smart, thoughtful, caring and sympathetic. I get here and even though they are swamped with work, they got started on what turned out to be a mystery electric problem. I have an older suburban so the great electronic test equipment for todays cars doesnt work. They relied on knowledge, of which they Excel in. Its impossible to tell what exactly was my vehicle problem was, I think it was multiple, but they plowed though and fixed my suburban. They worked on it until 9pm...way past closing. Not only did the mechanic stay to make sure I got back on the road, but the owner and both the office girls stayed. One even drove me out for an ice cream! I cannot say enough good things about Derry. It is US Army Vet owned and operated which is a bonus. Every employee cares about their work and reputation. The best attributes are they are honest and honorable. These are qualities that separate great from good in business. Thank you Derry auto!

On a cross country road trip. Electric Passenger seat needed to be replaced. Ed got the part and had me back on the road within a couple of hours. Christy and the other front office manager were very helpful. Even Sparky was a nice addition.

I have never experienced customer service like this from an auto shop!!! Ed knows how to run a shop and his staff is so incredibly friendly and willing to help at all costs! They deserve your business - pricing is always fair too!!!

Be careful guys!!! These guys will rip off anyone that walks into their door, they’ll tell you a price at the begging but it will be deferent at the check out, not sure who is in charge but the guy inside will give you a pice and the Cashier lady will give you a different price.

Tire pressure light came on, stopped by and asked if they could check it for me. The owner stopped everything, had one of his guys check it & made sure it was all good. Very nice & I appreciated the help.

My mom has a 2000 Buick Century, the car is worth about $1,900.00 and wanted to do over $2,000.00 worth of work. I find this place to be disturbing practices by a garage. They now have lost my business. Please look around before going to this place. Do your homework people..... This place is a joke....

We didnt have a choice to go here but it was awful. 1st. The woman at the front desk was very nice so she isnt the problem.2nd. One of the men that helped us was very condescending and rude instead of helpful (he was the biggest problem) 3. The new tirethey gave was already covered in dirt making it look like it wasnt new so that is concerning 4. It was very dirty because the dog they have there urinated on the carpet twice while we were there waiting. It seemed like it was because of severe health issues.

Honest guys who will do the job well, and charge you less. Friendly, too, and always willing to go an extra mile to help. I would recommend them but I would rather keep it to myself or else you all will go there and crowd it up. Oops, you already know. Darn!

Im from NY I was down there and popped a tire. I called at 715 in the morning and they had me on my way by 1130. Great prices and the service was fantastic.

They did a good job changing my tire n over all for a good price one thing i didnt like is that i had to wait 15 mins just for them to put a battery in a truck n movevit outbthe way so my van can b pulled in idk maybe i just have no patient another thing is that i had to stand in the cold with my 2 dogs because they have 2 shihtzu in the office

Made an appointment for 8am for a tire alignment, came in and was told Id have to wait till 10am because their alignment machine was unavailable. Understandable.However the actual reason why is not. The shop manager decided to take on a Tesla the night before and left it on the lift while waiting on a tire to come in fully knowing he had to do an alignment at 8am.So how about you put the tesla elsewhere in the shop for the tire, and do the alignment you had an appointment for?Money seems to be a big motivator for this shop as they take on those who they can charge the most, while the other vehicles pile up in the lot.A mechanic that has too many vehicles outside is trying to look busy but isnt getting anything done.Sincerely,1 experienced mechanic who dosent own an alignment machine.

I love this shop. Ed is like a Wizard. I like how he and the rest of the guys explain whats going on with your vehicle and dont just leave you in the waiting room stressing out. Charged a 60 $ for a tire no matter the sign. Had to pay a mounting fee. Very friendly staff. Just never pay that much for a use tire back her in Virginia

Completely dishonest! Told me my bleeders were missing from my calipers. Why yes they are, and you can see the fresh metal and circular marks from where they just GROUND THEM OFF! After being called out, he proceeds to go on about how rusty everything is and charges me an exorbitant tow charge to get the vehicle back. Never going there again!

I spent more than an hour here about tire pricing and was told a used tire was available. Then 25 min later was told when asked how much longer it would be that a new tire was required, I told them I had to be at work and a bunch of time was wasted for naught!

NOT trustworthy at all, the last 3 years Ive got an inspection here because Ed is friends with my father in law. This time I was out of town for a few weeks and my wife took my car to get inspected and left the car there for a week since I wasnt there to help. Knew I needed 1 tire for sure as it was bald. They told me I needed 2 and the mid pipe for exaughst, ok fine. When I come back to town I look at my new tires, cool cheap not what I had before but ok. Then look at the other 2 tires, both are completely different used junkyard looking tires. They literally STOLE my 2 almost brand new $200 tires. Who steals tires?! Remounts and balances new ones on top of that and didnt balance the other 2 at all. Thanks.. Called to complain about it, I know it was too late they were long gone but my wife doesnt know a wheel from a tire so they played her and me. Told me theyd investigate and get back to me. Yea.. never got a call back and wont answer my calls when I call. Ladies that dont know cars especially dont take your car here unless your planning on getting blinker fluid for $300, insane.

This place absolutely sucks, customers beware. I had a revving problem with my car. Took it here to see what was wrong, they told me 40 minutes later what was wrong (idle air control valve) they charged me $30 for that, then they told me I had to pay $500+ for repair. Told me the part was expensive and its online for $40... yet they quoted me at $500+ also, I go to fix what they scanned and it wasnt even the issue in the first place. So not only was my time wasted but they tried to charge me out the butt and couldnt even manage to find the issue. It was actually the FITV which I didnt need replaced and I did it myself in literally a hour. So, if youre looking for a good mechanic. Please dont go here lol these people are jokes.

I went there to get my breaks changed. As i get there the guy was rude and i wasnt explain anything correctly. They kept trying to get me to fix other stuff in my car even though my car was fine. They also over charge me and when i got home i realize. my breaks were not even installed correct. They tired to put it on me so i had to go else where to get my car fix.

Sigh.....where to start....First off we waited three months to have our vehicle returned to us for something that should have taken two weeks max . We call after waiting the first month and they state that the mechanic who was workin gon it was no longer with them . We call aftee the second month and ask what is taking so long and they finally come clean and tell us that the mechanic whom was no longer with them anymore put certain parts back into the engine backwards and screwed it up. So they basically had to start from scratch. Another month goes by and they finally say it is done and quote us the original price they had given us. No bother taking anything off that price after having to run an extra 30 miles a day for three months so that my husband and myself could get to work and nothing taken off the top for the long freaking wait to get our vehicle back. And heres the kicker....the check engine light came on before we even got off the lot .They reset it stating that it likely just needed to be reset however came back on after the 10 minute ride home. Do not do business with these people . Poor work that is overpri ed and poor customer service. Never again .

I went there today to get a belt put on my alternator in my car and when I asked him 3 questions he became irate telling me to stop right there and told the guys to stop working on my car backed it out of his shop and said he is not working on my car. It is a blizzard outside and my car is just running on its battery!!! He was over all rude and I must say I never been treated like that ever!!! I feel this book by its cover and that shows how messed up ppl can be!!
