Karns is the best grocery store in Central Pennsylvania to get three things. 1) they have the best meat around 2) they have an excellent bakery; their coconut cake is second to none. Their pies are also very good, and 3) their apples in the fall. In the fall they bring in local Adams County apples in many, many different varieties. They are excellent.

I really like this grocery. Its a big store with a bodega feel. Great deal on a meat pack. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Its out of my way but Id make the trip because I like the vibe.

Positives:They have good produce here. They have high quality meat as well. The sorting for this is very simple and easy to find what you want. The Walls have a nice paint job, and the aisles are tended to quite well. They keep their frozen products cold but not icing over like some other grocers. You will come home with a popsicle that is covered in ice at other grocers but not here. They have quality frozen food that is easy and simple to make.Negatives:The walls have many scuff marks and there are stains on the ground. They do not manage to stock products to their fullest and you can have situations where what you want wont be stocked.Overall:This is a good grocer if you are in a hurry and need to grab something. There are chances the one thing you went into the store for will be out of stock. The paint job is nice, but the marks on the walls stop you from appreciating it. Overall its a pretty good place. 3 Stars

Karns is my go-to for produce! They have in season veggies and fruit for cheap sale prices. They also have great sales. Some of the best and freshest meat, (chicken, beef, pork, sausages). This location is never too crowded for my liking and I never have to wait to check out. Great for an after work stop.

Spring flowers and veggie plants have arrived. Have always had good luck with their flowers. Then went inside and did some grocery shopping. Great customer service at the checkout - thankyou!!

Overall a great store, been going there for years and years. Too bad its always so hot at the checkouts. I feel sorry for the cashiers, its often like an oven. One would think theyd install some ceiling fans above the registers for those poor people.

This is our go-to Karns. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. The Meat and fish counter is amazing. They staff always give great suggestions and weigh everything perfect. The store is a little tired on the inside but workable. Check out staff is hit or miss, some are friendlier than others. We have had a few sour faces but do their got efficient. Just wish their scanners would scan my phone for the Karns card.

Even though I found what I needed, I am extremely distraught over waiting 15 minutes just to buy lottery tickets all because the girl didnt think the customer service gentleman would take so long with another customer. She stood there and so did I until another person also needed help. TEACH YOUR EMPLOYEES WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALL ABOUT!!!! 15 MINUTES IS WAY TOO LONG TO WATCH AN EMPLOYEE STAND AROUND DOING NOTHING!!

Stopped in got grand daughter and daughter cake & ice cresm for belated birthday 🎂 after family sit down meal @ copper kettle.

I like this grocery store! Disclosure - Karns is not my regular since I have another grocery store closer. I went to Karns today because everyone talks about how great their meat department is and I wanted some good ribeye for Christmas dinner. Karns did not let me down! Wow, what a meat department! It went on for 60 feet with lots of counter staff. Also, this store has some other interesting things, for example, they make their own fresh soups. I got a pepper jack tomato soup and had it tonight - was extremely good. Also, the store was not endlessly huge, but still had all the stuff I wanted. This store is across the street from the Toyota dealer at pretty much the east most point of the collection of stores along route 22 going east from route 83.

We have liked shopping here for years. The produce department has improved compared to what it was several years ago. Same for the seafood department. Their meat department has always been good. I like the friendly service.

Went for boneless chicken thighs...very friendly meat counter staff as always. Ended up getting more than I had on my list. So, many great specials!!

Great customer service. I stopped in yesterday to buy some seafood and didnt notice that my shrimp were accidentally weighed and priced as steaks. It wasnt until I got home that I noticed the mistake. I sent an email via Karns website this morning and got a response back within a few minutes with an offer to remedy the situation. For this reason, I will continue to visit - best and freshest meat and seafood in the Harrisburg area!

This particular Karns market didnt have the meat looking awesome. It looked dry not fresh like other Karns Supermarkets. Some sales were great.

The homemade meals and soups are really good. Love the wedding soup especially. They also have a great selection of meats and seafood. Far above the other area chain stores.

I ordered a cake for the first time for my daughters birthday. The cake is DELICIOUS!! I can’t stop eating it. It’s chocolate cake with buttercream icing. The chocolate cake is flavorful. The buttercream icing is not too sweet. I will be ordering birthday cakes from Karnes bakery again! Yum!

Ive been a regular shopper at Karns for a few decades now. Love their meats? Bakery and seafood department. The U-scan check out lane is nice. Good selection of health car products.Veryday Essentials is their private label brand.They accept:Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex, Cash, ebt and WIC.

Store is clean. Shelves are stocked for the most part. Employees are friendly and courteous. Prices are reasonable. Meat selection is excellent. Still require masks which is unnecessary (no law requiring masks despite what their signs say).

Great people working there. The store was clean as well as the bathroom. It was a good visit picking up the things I wanted for dinner.

As far as supermarkets go. There were no burger specials but the steak prices were good. Some employees were wearing their masks under their nose. Not cool.

This used to be my one stop shop for everything. Sure they were a little bit higher than others on a lot of things but it didnt matter that much. Now you want $5 a case for water? are you out of your minds when its $4 at giant. That and you cant even keep some items on the shelf at all! Karns hands down has been the worst grocery store during the pandemic. It looks like were done doing business

Great products and really nice staff! I prefer Karns over the big chains. The bakery staff was so helpful in assisting me with finding the cake I needed. And they cheerfully added the birthday greeting on it. Everybody there is so nice.

Employees are very nice management is another story all together. Two women there around their 40s and 50s are very rude and aggressive. My family goes to karns almost every week but we will be taking our business across the river to the Mechanicsburg location I suggest you guys do too everyone there is a model employee.

Great. 59 cents per pound chicken thighs or legs or mix and match. In 5 pounds you get about 10 thighs. Yes their a good size thigh. Great deal. A great local store that has branched out to a number of locations over the years.

Very nice grocery store. Excellent meat deals, nice bake, and good produce section. Plenty of parking but the store is usually very busy. Lots of other stores in this same shopping complex. Karns is a place that you do want to stop at if you are in the area.

Totally impressed with their customer service. A mistake was made. Didnt realize it until we got home, which is an hour away. Emailed and not a minute later was on the phone with a lady. Had it taken care of in no time. Thank you Karns Food. Will recommend your store to everyone.
