Ive been going to this shop since I moved to Hartford 3 plus years ago. Billy has been wonderful to me as a mechanic. Honest and straight forward and always has treated me with respect and fairness. Now that William Billy Arena is the shop manager he is still committed to great trustworthy service. I take all my cars here first! If he cant do the repairs William is able to point me in the right direction.

Very courteous and professional staff. I visited this establishment 2 times in 1 month for tyre light. Without hesitation, despite their busy schedule, all my tyres were checked and aired up and I was told one had a slow leak causing the light to come on. I returned to repair it, the manager showed me where the leak was, showed me the repair kit, repaired it then showed me again that the leak was gone. Then...I was shocked when I saw my bill. Thank you Mr. Arena and staff, appreciate yall. Will definitely bring my buggy back when it needs some love :) :)

Great service all around! I was in from out of town and my dealership at home had done a terrible job getting my car ready for a road trip. Bill fixed everything that had been missed and made everything about it stress free. If I lived around here this is where I would always bring my car.

Check engine light came on so I called to ask if theyd be able to read the code. They were super friendly and said no problem. Within a minute of arriving they had plugged into my cars computer to check the code. They got the codes and gave a brief explanation about them. Really helpful, appreciate it!

I was highly impressed with their service. I came in early and waited. They performed the service very quickly. I had an oil change and 4 tires replaced. I was in and out of that location in about 2 1/2 hours - and was able to get back to the rest of my day. The manager, an elderly Portuguese gentlemen, was very friendly and attentive. All in all, I am happy to have come thjere.

I am so happy to have found Manny and his crew at Monro on Prospect! Every time I call, Manny is on the line with a friendly greeting, ready to help. I recently had a muffler replaced and that went really well. Good price, good warranty and the time they needed the car was completely reasonable. I then ordered tires online and called Manny to install them. I was really impressed that he was just as happy to help me even though I didnt buy the tires through him. I read many reviews that call out Manny for being friendly, knowledgeable and a nice guy, and I concur on all claims. Definitely choose Monro on Prospect for you auto service needs!

A few years ago I had a rattle under my car. I had my oil changed at Crowley and asked them to look at it while it was on the lift, they wouldnt since I was just getting my oil changed. I went to Monro on Prospect Avenue in West Hartford and they fixed the issue at a few reasonable rate. Today, I went with a different car to ask them, while on a lift, look at a tire shield that came off when I drove over brush. William very kindly agreed to take a look. 20 minutes late the shield was replaced and the other one that was falling off was secured. AT NO COST!. I pulled out my wallet to pay and I was told, No charge. I dont know too many businesses that would do that, but how great for customer service.

I went to Monroe this past Friday to fix my tire leak and Manny was so helpful and polite. He was able to fix my tire between scheduled appointments and Vasha greeted me and told me about my tire! I called for oil change & check tires, I was told to bring my car in even though i didn’t have an appointment. There would be a bit of a wait which was no problem for me. The manager and technician were very friendly, helpful and explained everything to me I.e. tires needed to be rotated, oil was synthetic and tires needed to be rotated.......the price was extremely fair. I definitely will be using their service again for my car.

Brought my car in for what I thought was an alignment issue. Not only did Manny squeeze me in the same day, but he also figured out it was really something wrong with the wheel bearing (and the alignment wasnt needed). When I found out that the bearing was still under dealer warranty, he graciously waived the diagnostic fee, too - now that is honest and generous customer service! Would highly recommend and plan on returning.

I didnt make an appointment but they still took my car in anyway. They worked pretty fast considering there were other cars before me, taking roughly 2 hours. The tire repair was also pretty cheap as well. If I ever need my car looked at again, I would definitely come here again. I am going to recommend this place to all my friends!

Quick oil change (they were really backed up so I dropped off and it was ready ~2 hours later) at a great price. I forgot my coupon but Manuel honored it anyway. He also gave me a good estimate for more extensive service and encouraged me to find the coupons online. Ill definitely be going back.

I have been taking my cars here for several years now. Service is always friendly and prompt. There have also been several instances in which I took my car there for a second opinion. Each time they were able to do it for a lower price or explain that the work I was originally quoted was not needed. I will never go anywhere else for car maintenance now.

I went into get an oil change and a flat repaired. As always I got excellent service. I was unable to make my appointment two days ago but was easily rescheduled for today. I am always treated like a valuable customer. I will always come here. Manny is the manager and he goes above and beyond to accommodate my needs and schedule.

The entire staff....Manny, Walter and Vasha all provided exceptional service. What stood out the most and very important as a customer. Well, I wanted to like this place because it was convenient and close to home and work. I got my oil changed here once and it was great.After that, all down hill. Ive scheduled multiple appointments to get my car worked on and today marks the third and final time that I pulled up to have them tell me they couldnt fit me in during the appointment time I scheduled. Im not entirely sure how that works, you know with the whole concept of appointments being that you have a reserved time to get work done.Any way, I am done coming to this location for automotive setvices.

I have been going to Monro Auto Service at the corner of Park Road and Prospect Avenue for about 30 years. Store manager, Manny, assistant manager/mechanic, Bill and mechanic Vasha have all worked together at that location there the entire time. When they give me advice on service that they believe my car needs I always listen because I trust they have my best interest at heart. All three of these guys are gentlemen who speak in a friendly and courteous manner to all their customers. And, while the prices at Monroe are fair and competitive it is far more important that they instill confidence in me that the work they have performed on my car has been done correctly and thoroughly. I have been bringing my car to Manny and his team for over five years now. Im very happy with the way they take care of me and my vehicle. Not once have I felt like I was being upsold or misled. In fact, on several occasions Ive been told that the service I asked for (based on maintenance schedule) wasnt needed yet. Thats the kind of treatment that keeps me coming back, even when other service shops are much closer to home.

Had 2 tires delivered from Tirerack and didn’t make an appointment. Manny was very accommodating, professional, and the reason I would recommend this location to others. I also had brakes replaced several years ago and Manny was there. The fact that he has been there for so many years illustrates his dedication and loyalty to the business, and it shows.

I love this place (thats a hard thing to say about an automotive shop). Manny always takes good care of me and my car. He often tells me that I dont need services when I ask for them (because the equipment may be due for a change, but is in good shape and would be a waste of money). I feel hes an honest guy and the work is done well at a fair price. I will be coming here as long as Manny is there.

Manny Rebeiro was able to take my car in this morning and patch my leaky tire by about 1:00 pm by fitting it in between other appointments. He also cleaned the tire rims as well, something I hadn’t expected. He was polite and courteous.

When I take my car in to a service station and ask for the cost of a repair I expect to be quoted the total cost. I took my 2008 Subaru Outback in to the Monro Muffler on Prospect Street for an oil change and to have the exhaust system inspected. Manny confirmed the $19.99 price on the sign out front for the oil change and told me that his mechanic would call with the results of the exhaust system inspection.The mechanic quoted me just under $1600 for the replacement of the exhaust system. After calling other service stations for quotes I just had Monro do the oil change.To my surprise I was charged $26 for the oil change, not the quoted $19.99. Along with an oil disposal fee I was told that there is a $3.95 charge for use of the shop! How could you do an oil change without using the shop? Those fees should have been included in the original estimate! This is very misleading.I wonder what hidden fees would have been tacked on to the exhaust system replacement. I ended up replacing the exhaust system at another chain service station for $600 less. That station also found a safety concern with my steering system, something that Monro neglected to mention.I have had excellent experiences with the Monro Muffler stations in Upstate New York but will never use them in Hartford.

I love Monro on Park Street in Hartford. They always get me in when I have a problem that comes up that I need taken care of immediately. I always get the very best service. Would recommend them highly.

One of the most expensive car repair garages. They make all their employees salaries off of unreasonably pricing parts. For example, if a part cost $60, they will charge the customer like $300. When the customer tells them that they will bring the part, and that they only need to charge for labor which is $90 per hour, the store manager excuses himself, and tells you Im sorry, were busy and booked for the next few weeks, and we cant service you unless we order the part for you. They always order parts of the poorest quality. Do yourself a favor and dont trust them. Before repairing, shop around at different auto parts stores first and try another store. Then, if you have no choice, go there.

I was unable to get a tire from any local tire shop, and had to order it online. I had TireRack ship my tire to this location and the manager/staff were pleasant and communicable. They removed the bad tire and installed the newly ordered tire with no hiccups or issues. The manager was friendly and honest. Ill be a return customer for any vehicle issues in the future.

It was a great experience having my tires mounted and balanced here. Professional and trustworthy staff with great advice in a calm environment is all I’m looking for.
