Tisane has a really cool vibe, but the food wasn’t overly impressive. My lo mein was good, but my boyfriend ordered general tso’s that we felt was lacking in flavor. The steamed buns were okay, but dry, and we wished that the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls had come with a dipping sauce. Otherwise, they weren’t bad. The best part was the warm brownie sundae. I’ll try coming back for brunch and coffee to see if that’s better if I’m in the area again.

We go here every week after league sports. Everyone working is fantastic and we never fail to have a great time. Tasty food and great seasonal drinks.

A very friendly and relaxed little cafe. Their menu is on the smaller side, but it does include some excellent vegetarian options. I had the Summer Smash cocktail and a poke bowl with tofu; both were absolutely amazing!

Very friendly and tentative staff. Latte was really good and the steamed buns were to die for! Pad Thai was average, not like that is bad, it was good but just standard Pad Thai you get going out.Great atmosphere. Music isnt too loud.I would recommend coming here.

This space makes you feel as if youre in a beautiful bistro. You actually forget your surroundings as you feel youve been taken away. Food is amazing. Drinks are delicious. Love this atmosphere. A Hartford treasure 👌🏾

Great food, we had the nachos: such interesting fusion, I recommend them. Then I had the chicken sandwich that was better than the average. The lemonades were also tasty and refreshing. The brownie and ice cream was scrumptious. I took off one star because the service was slow. Our waiter was friendly but he did forget to get us napkins and cutlery, then disappeared for moments at a time. They are probably understaffed which means you’ll be here a while. Overall, I would recommend it.

One of my favorite places to come to before COVID. A lot has changed as far as the menu, certain meals available that I don’t usually get. That did not stop me from trying new things. I loved my Poke bowl. The waitress was awesome such good vibes, she enlightened me that they have bands and events on Monday. They still carry an awesome drink menu. They also close early

This place is awesome! The pricepoint is very reasonable and the food is excellent. Especially the fried pickles and spicy corn chowder! The raspberry lavender iced tea was also a highlight, but overall we enjoyed everything we had.I loved the decor and the vibe. Our server was also most welcoming and gave us great recommendations. They definitely went above and beyond for us.We will definitely be back, and recommend to our friends! :)

The wifi is great, I worked from here when I was visiting. Be careful, you’ll spend money smelling the kitchen working all day.I love the atmosphere, I’ve been here mornings, afternoons and evenings, those Spotify playlists are spot on and the DJ when it turns lounge is always humming some sweet 90’s R&B. Always the good stuff.I enjoy the festive cocktails, the decorations, limited but yummy menu. It really has done a lot right.I didn’t give it 5 starts because the bathrooms are scary. I’ve been here many times throughout many months and I never feel them clean. Floors are slippery, and sticky at the same time. Toilet always has a orange slime drip, just so so many things wrong. I would say this is the “Euro” part of the cafe.

Had brunch with a friend today, first time at Tisane. Our waiter, Nathan, youre a sweetheart! You absolutely must encounter his amazing customer service skills, top notch! The Tisane Bellini and saucy wings, my new favorite food in Connecticut.. The outside patio was quaint and welcoming. Additional wait staff had great personalities and smiles. Great establishment! Brunch cocktail - Harley Quinn🎉, Hot beverage - vanilla chai tea latte ❤️, Meal - Scramble of the day - scrambled eggs with pesto, pepper jack cheese, bacon and green onions w/ a side of home fries. Everything was delicious. My first time there and Ill DEFINITELY be back.

Well priced. Good food. However, outdoor sitting could be improved. The seats are exposed to direct sunlight which can get quite uncomfortable.

When I called to ask if there was any wait, the lady sounded snobby on the phone and when my parents and I walked in no one seemed to bring us to a table and just completely stared at us. Mind you, there was no one at the tables only a few people at the bar, completely empty on a Sunday afternoon. The girl and guy at the bar kept staring at us as if we didn’t belong there. My parents and I didn’t even sat down for more than 30 seconds because this place felt horrible and didn’t deserve our money.

I come here when Im in town because I really like the atmosphere and martinis. I enjoyed the previous mango salsa wonton nachos, but to my surprise theyve changed up the recipe... bummer

I used to love going to this restaurant…. I introduced many people to this restaurant. I enjoyed their drinks as well as their food. Unfortunately, when corona hit they revised their menu which was a bummer. I.e. their nachos isn’t the same… I was disappointed when I ordered their nachos. They took away the veggie. Delight sandwich which was amazing! They also took off calamaris off of their menu as well. Hopefully they’ll bring back some of the dishes they took off the menu.

The Buffalo chicken sandwich was beautiful crafted by the chef with that Blue Cheese alioli. The bartender made me something wonderful.

Steady through the years and through our pandemic readjustments, Tisane is a sweet, small haven of friendliness and comfort in both drink and food in the West End. Their Chai latte is a homemade blend of masala chai and brown sugar, milk and nondairy options available to have it made it your own delight. Tisane is also a Door Dash option. Stop by, their seating has plexi dividers, take out, or when warm enough, enjoy the patio. Its worth it!

So cute for when it’s warmer out. The decor inside is funky with vines and plants, and the little outside eating area is cozy. Food is way better than you’d think for a coffee shop. Great bacon chicken ranch wrap and great coffee

Pack a suitcase your going to be here for a very long time. I only had a salad did they need to go to the garden and pick the greens. The waitress was nice obviously had little or no experience.

Bad service, our server frequently walk past us never stopping to check in with us. We had to stop her few times for things we needed and wait... the Pad Thai was horrible, dry with no flavor. All I asked was if they put onion in the dish because I cannot eat onion, she answered no but it has scallions which I told her that was fine. I don’t know what happened in the kitchen but it looked nothing like the one I saw on the website. It was late in the night and the kitchen had closed by the time I got the food. Smh

I came here the first time with my neighbor. The first thing I noticed about Tisane, is that everyone was so friendly. It was a breath of fresh air after working a long day in healthcare . There black bean burger was amazing. I dont even like burgers that arnt burgers, but I decided why not?! This burger had amazing flavor and I would 💯 go back and get another. Also there drinks are so delicious and so strong. My mind was surely off the work day by the time I got my tab. Enjoy!!

Eclectic menu featuring new American dishes and a wonderful assortment of teas, martinis and drinks. If you arrive after 10 on a Saturday or Friday night, expect a wait for everything, so ask for a menu as soon as you walk thru the door.

Just meh, got the little Havana. Steamed sweet potato home fries lacking any flavor and the fries part. Additionally there were only about two pieces pork in the whole dish.

Food is always delicious drinks are even better, atmosphere and staff always great. Take a visit find out for yourself

I really enjoyed stopping here and having a cup of coffee after a hard appointment. The place was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The barista was very cordial and brought my coffee to me at the table. I have always loved Tisanes and they deserve a lot of business for the stellar customer service alone. Stopped in to eat on our way past Hartford. Community institution, except it is too cool to be called an institution.

Great atmosphere however appeared understaffed. Great coffee, food was average and service was very slow.

I came here after work with a friend for coffee ans was excited with all the tea options. They also had cocktails and food available. The parking lot was small so street parking is there only other option. But the inside was very cute and overall a good time.

Ive been going to Tisane for over 10yrs and I wont stop. Everything about this place is quality. The staff, food, drinks and atmosphere. Its somewhere to go relax with friends and have a good time. The staff is friendly and attentive which is rare these days. I highly recommend going.

Our Host took four of us out-of-town visitors to this restaurant for lunch on a sunny afternoon. It was not crowded and the patio was available. The menu had an assortment of dishes, all sounded wonderful. I ordered the Nachos to share with the table and I mean that dish was large enough for all five of us! Absolutely Delicious! I also had the Chicken Sandwich with Fries. Tasty. A $20 bill can go a long way at this location (mine was more than that but, hey, the bar had great selections as well). Thumbs up.

Menu is creative, every time I order a new (to me) dish, its always a bit surprising. Tisane puts their own twist on everything they serve. I have never been disappointed yet. The staff is pleasant and helpful, atmosphere inside is lively and usually pretty busy. Highly recommend.

Tisane was just the place I always wanted to hangout with my friends, the service was great, food delicious, overall a great atmosphere, NOT ANYMORE, you have to wave and raise your voice in order to get the bartenders attention. Even though they are in front of you. Central air doesn’t work as supposed to so place gets very hot quickly, I can assume employees are cranky because of that? Any who Tisane is not what it used to be. The manager gets sarcastic and “funny” the wrong way. Overall and okay place to hang....

Friendly waitstaff. They had a vegan option for Saturday brunch. Nice music. I got there early (around 10 am) before the brunch crowd rolled in and it was pretty quiet. It got busier around noon. Fairly priced.

What would I do without Tisane for my daily coffee? It truly is the bar and cafe where everyone knows your name. At any time of the day or night, the crowd and the mood changes at this West End institution, but you can rely on a great experience.

Was actually trying to find parking for the mexican restaurant next door and pulled into Tisanes parking lot and found that it was parking only for their patrons, so my husband and I decided to give them a try. Was pleasantly surprised. The inside atmosphere was nice, calm, and clean. The servers and bartender were all super nice and friendly. There was a slight mishap with one of our orders, but they took care of it quickly, with no hassle, another apologized multiple times. Sometimes miscommunications happen, it wasnt an issue. Definitely glad we went to Tisane instead of the Mexican restaurant. The food was good, the coffee was good, the staff was polite and welcoming, and the atmosphere was great. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

A trendy cafe and bar that serves amazing euro Asian fusion cuisine, wonderful teas, and some of the best cocktails in Connecticut. There is nothing there that falls short of being spectacular. The staff is consistently phenomenal and provide exceptional service that one would expect from a far more expensive restaurant. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Food is wonderful. Drinks are on point. If you like tea, this is a perfect match. They know their teas! (Coconut black is my favorite) People watching is also advised. This place fills up quickly.

Great food, great drink menu, indoor and outdoor seating, cozy and comfortable with wonderful friendly people. I came here alone on a Saturday night after moving to Hartford and met so many great people and had a fun time! I will certainly be back soon.This place is popular with locals and is a must for anyone looking to meet friendly new people or just try great food. Also they had a great DJ starting around 11:30pm and they clear some tables out of the way for people to dance but have a separate section for large groups to sit and eat where you won’t be in the middle of the dance floor. Basically, they have everything covered, despite being such a small place. Enjoy your visit!

Excellent food on regular, specials menu and happy hour drinks are great. Cant go wrong there!However, tried two of the happy hour specials. Buffalo chicken spring rolls were lackluster. could not detect the chicken in the rolls and Calamari paper-thin with more greasy batter than squid.Service was excellent and attentive.

My boyfriend and I met here for drinks a year ago for our first date. We had such a good experience that we decided to come back for our 1 year anniversary. My boyfriend called ahead to let them know about our special occasion, and although I dont believe they usually take reservations, they sat us at the same booth we had last year (yes, we are corny) and had a small vase of yellow roses on the table. Our server Victor was very friendly and had good recommendations, and the manager dropped off our entrees and checked in. We were treated so well and I knew I had to leave a great review right away.

Tisane is a small and cozy place to get good drinks. Their drinks are unique and the food is good too. I highly recommend visiting this cafe for date night or going out with friends. My only complaint is the parking. Its hard to find a spot because the parking area is small. But dont let that stop you from trying this place out.
