Just cant give any kind of good rating just based on the experiences on-line. Been looking for the Envision we wanted for weeks and found it at this dealership, which is 45 min drive from our house. But it was exactly what we wanted. Had the loan pre-approved with our CU. Had a paid off good Chevy to trade. Communicated with the dealership through chat. Got great information and responses in the afternoon. Said we would provide money to hold the car. Said we would be down the next morning. Clarified that the vehicle was still available. Was told sales would call that night. No call no email. Next morning heading out called dealership only to find out car was sold 2 days earlier. Would have been one star had we drove all the way. I save the chat log in case the dealership wants proof. Just wanted to buy a car. ..
I was shopping online for a vehicle a few months ago and came across the vehicle that I wanted. After requesting more information about the vehicle I received a call from Salesman Brandon Fritz. He was able to hold the vehicle for me over the weekend while I booked a flight for first thing Monday morning. The staff at the dealership was nice and I ended up driving home that day with the vehicle. I would definitely travel here from out-of-state again if they have a vehicle I am looking for.
Yeah I dont recommend this dealership. They werent very interested in working with me as far as offers or financing. I gave them specifics on not only what Im looking for, but what i can afford. and they did little to help me on that. Example, they offered me $12,000 for my 2014 Explorer as a trade-in, conveniently just about how much i owed on the loan, and said they couldnt do any better. And here I see that car listed on their site for $17,500. which is $1000 more than what i bought it for less than 2 years ago. I also noticed when i got home that my power locks didnt work along with the remote start. When I messaged the salesman about it, he put the blame on me saying that I blew a fuse on the way home. He then said it was my fault that I didnt purchase their warranty, for an extra $100 a month, that would cover it. I told them my price points, and what i could comfortably afford, and they didnt care or work with me at all. I figured going to a smaller dealership, as opposed to ones in Rochester, they would be willing to work with me. No. They just want to get the most money out of you that they can. They only way I would recommend this place is, a recommendation to stay away and go somewhere else. Had I known i was going to deal with snakes, I wouldve worn boots and brought a stick. **update** just received a letter for another loan offer that the DEALERSHIP declined. Yes it was slightly higher interest rates, but it would have dropped my monthly payments $50 than what they set me up with. Just shows you what they care about.
Had a new key made. The key was not cut so that it went in without catching a little. It still works but should have been checked prior to me leaving. Didnt think that I would need to do that, I used the other key. Further I was surprised at the price. Two years ago I had one cut and the labor was $27.00 now it was over $60.00 Amazing that labor has over doubled.

Tim in sales lost a sale due to the negative attitude after telling him I was between his car and another car from another dealership. Said I was wasting his time because I was not committed to buying his vehicle. It’s called car shopping my friend. There are a million cars to pick from. It’s normal for a buyer to want the best deal and to compare between different cars at different dealers. Typical “good” salesman that is happy and friendly but then throws a fit when things don’t go his way. Oh he also said I couldn’t but a car unless I financed hahaha you can’t make this stuff up. Little piece of advice Tim, what makes or breaks a car deal is your attitude. No one likes an arrogant salesman. A buyer can sense when a salesman is full of it and unfortunately you were one of those. Not only did you lose a sale but made the experience bad enough for me to waste MY time to write this review.

At no point was she pushy or suggest anything outside of what we wanted! This isn’t the first new car I have purchased, so when she told us she was new to the game, I was shocked! This girl knows what she is doing and treated us like friends, even though we just met! This is not like any experience I have ever had. Terrible service. If you need Honest service at an honest price I would recommend taking your vehicle to Muffler Doctor in cottage grove. You will save hundreds off what Valley will charge you.
The car has high miles so there was more to fix on it than originally anticipated. The service agent set me up in a rental and took care of everything. With all of the school from home things with kids going on this would have tossed me in a tail spin but the service agent made the work seamless.Thank you very much for the excellent service!-Chad

I bought my Chevrolet from this place 3 yrs ago. Very satisfied with the care they gave me. They have continued that same care and FABULOUS ATTITUDE, and RESPECT. I had my car sit for a bit as I had surgeryI didnt think it sat that long but the oil read like 10% . I was afraid to drive it to town so I had the oil change done here in my town. Highly recommend that nobody takes their vehicle to their service shop for repairs. Several times this year my vehicle has been brought in for issues and they cant seem to find the problem. Tell them to test drive to diagnose certain issues and they only take it around the block quickly and cant duplicate customer concern

Scott the salesman was helpful, honest, and very kind. We went to look at a van and he told us everything up front about the van. We ended up buying the van the following day and we were very limited on time since we had to be somewhere and he was very nice about it and had everything set up and ready for us to get the process going.

I have read the reviews and understand the frustrations. I have purchased all my cars from the Valley Group and the three dealerships that I have purchased from have all been exceptional this one being included. They are still fairly new and they service department has seen a lot come and go and I believe the two they have out there now are very knowledgeable and their customer interaction makes you feel at ease. Not everyone likes to go to the Dr so bringing your vehicle in you are thinking they are just going to rip you off. Derek and Chris in Service will sit down with you and discuss your options. I think more people should be stopping in to this exciting new dealership and give them a shot. I will continue to purchase my cars from them because of their professionalism and that they will not push me into something that I am just not sure of. Chris and Ryan in the finance department work very well together and they will do their best to find the best deal for you. My first car there I agreed on a price with one bank and then Chris came back and told me my payment will be lower because he got me a better rate at a different bank. How many dealers will go out of their way to help a customer out like that? Hats off to the Valley Group for adding another division to the great city of Hastings, MN.

Really great people to work with. I found an Impala online that was $3k below book value, called and asked them to hold it. I was willing to drive 40 minutes out of town since they are located in Hastings. When I showed up, an hour before they closed, they were happy to help and stayed late on a Friday night to complete my paperwork. They also detailed the vehicle and had it cleaned up and spotless when I picked it up the next morning. Highly recommend them. The salesman I worked with was Trent B., and he was awesome and very knowledgeable. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to friends and family. Thank you!

Be very careful in buying used car here. I bought 2014 GMC Yukon and was told it was driven by older couple back and forth to Florida. Not the case very extensive hauling was done with this vehicle. The transmission is shot with 69K miles. Crooks
I had damaged one of my tires and had taken my car to a service shop close to my work. The service shop gave me a quote of $560 for two new tires and an alignment. I took my car to Valley and had them look over the damage. The service manager looked at my car and told me that he would only need to replace two tires. I asked about an alignment and he said that after the new tires are on, they would take my car for a run to see if it needed one (which it didnt). My total bill came to $250. I was confident in my decision to take my car to Valley and know that I am getting good, honest service.

They continue to exceed our expectations. We have had 3 different vehicles serviced here for approximately the last 6 years. We drive 20 minutes out of our way to take our vehicles here with another dealership less than 1 mile from our house. We have purchased a new truck from here, (Thanks again Bradd McNaughton!)I was sitting in the waiting area of our hometown dealership and talking to someone that told me they prefer to take their vehicle to Valley in Hastings because sometimes they would have a loaner vehicle available. Havent taken our vehicles anywhere else since.One of the trips we dropped our vehicle off for service and drove away with a loaner. We liked the loaner truck so much we bought it when they put it up for sale (3,000 miles). Included a nice discount as well.

I purchased a used truck from them in as-is condition for well below book value. They accepted a junker for a trade in and were able to beat what the local junkyard offered. They even thew in a free oil change. If im looking for another used vehicle i will stop in again.
I like going to Valley Chevrolet in hastings, MN. I go there still even after moving. The people there are great. Im a little worried about the 21 point inspection that comes with my oil change. I filled my windshield washer fluid in the dealership parking lot before driving it in the bay, and when the guy got me after the oil change was done the first thing he said after telling me it was done was we topped off your washer fluid. Ok, how is that possible when I just filled it? Now Im really wondering what else they skipped and just said they checked. Im not to sure I like the dealership or trust what they say anymore. I hope my car is safe. I cant believe it, people pay more for bringing there cars to the dealership for the extra quality, now that there lying to the customers what makes the dealership any better then any other shop now? Im really disappointed. I know I wont recommend this dealership to anyone but Ill sure tell them my experience with them. So sad.

Wow, the service department is the worst I have ever experienced! I scheduled an appointment for recall work by calling them asking them to fix my car. Then the day of the appointment I had a lady call from the service department saying they needed to reschedule. Then I bring in my car for the following week... first they say it will be done in an hour and then they come back and say two hours. Then the lady checking in cars comes to me and says We dont have the parts; did you make sure we had the parts before you made the appointment? At which point I decided to never use that dealer again.
I have a high mileage vehicle (355k) that I brought in to have the tranny cooling lines replaced. They did as I asked. When Dereck, (Svr Mgr) called to tell me it was done, he said the tech noted the tranny slipping?? I could not believe how horrible the tranny slipped when I drove it home. Since I picked it up after hours, I had to call the next morning. I was told there was no way that they did anything wrong, it was after all his most senior tech who has been doing this for 21 years.. He was adamant. I had it towed back to them and Dereck called to say that somehow the main transmission control wiring harness was not seated properly. The tranny shifts just fine!

I have read the all of the negative reviews on here and Ive never had a bad experience with the service or sales department and Ive talked with just about everyone who works there. Ive been with Valley Chevrolet for 3 years now and have never tried to pull one over on me. All the staff are professional, knowledgeable and very courteous. They get me in and out as quick as they can. Never any hassles and I will be coming back for if I need anything else. I highly recommend Valley Chevrolet to anyone who looking for quality service or looking for a new or used vehicle. I bought my 2014 Chevy Silverado High Country from them in December of 2014. I went to Jeff Belzars before I went to Valley Chevrolet and glad I did. Belzars wanted to overcharge me by a lot. I wont go too much into detail about the price but for the same truck with the same features and add-ons, Belzars wanted roughly $10,000 more. Next time Im in the market for a new vehicle Im definitely seeing my salesman at Valley Chevrolet. Well worth the extra drive and you cant beat their customer service! Dont believe what you read on the reviews on here or even mine for that matter, go find out for yourself and I guarantee you wont be disappointed.
