Great place. Have been there many times and always enjoyed the food and service. Their lunch is more like dinner size portions with lunch time pricing. Their happy hours has a wide array of apps for half price. Occasionally, they have live music at night. If you are in the Hauppauge industrial park area, swing in to this place.

Went out with girlfriends this past Saturday at this place and had the best experience! We made reservations (recommended) had a wonderful meal with hummus and pita chips as the appetizer (yummy!) and a skirt steak for dinner. Service was excellent as was the food. And there was live music that was perfect: enjoyable to listen to, but didnt have to shout to talk to friends. Looking forward to going back!

I am glad to see new ownership in this old location. Turns out my old waiter is now part owner. I ate lunch there yesterday and had the Cobb Salad my coworker had another salad. One of the best I have ever had. The chicken was actually moist and tender and not dry at all. Just enough dressing and nice combination of sweat and tangy. Service was excellent. A great new spot for people looking for a great lunch in the industrial park as there are no real good options in this area. Has a great NYC feel and menu. Great choice.

Dinner for four on Saturday night was great. Service was attentive. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. I had the Angus short ribs that were tender and flavorful. The chef was very accommodating with any special request. The restaurant is under new ownership. Everyone there was eager to please and that, combined with a great chef, made for a perfect evening. My advice-give them a try. I dont believe you will be disappointed.

Read some reviews about this place but heard new owners took it over late November so gave it a try. The place looks beautiful with a great vibe, definitely a great happy hour spot!! Tried the grilled chicken special sandwich and it was delicious, my friend had the burger and thought it was one of the best!! Needless to say that we will be back!!!

The food is always amazing and excellent service without a question! Very well priced for the quality of food here! My favorite place on the Island hands down! Live music on fridays as well, very cool ambiance! Happy hour at The Grill is an awesome opportunity to network and have a great meal and cocktail.

Came here for my birthday. The place was very nice, they had live music but it was definitely too loud. I was practically yelling at the people at the same table. The food was very delicious and came out fast. They messed up the bill though. Trying to charge us $28 for a $6 side of potatoes. They fixed it right away but Im glad we caught that. The menu was kind of pricey for what youre actually getting.

Went to the The Grill last Friday night what a fabulous time. The restaurant was fully renovated and looks so good I was so impressed they changed the whole bar around. We had appetizers Pissed off Prawns and Burnt Ends what a different dish and yummy is all I can say. I had the Beet Salad and my husband had the Striped Bass, the salad was out of this world my husband said the striped bass was one of the best!! Our waiter was very attentive and a pleasure. We will be going back for my sisters 40th Birthday next week.

Good food. Weird location, its in a strip mall hidden inside the Happauge industrial area.I like the lunch here during the summer, the prices are good and there is a nice area to sit outside. I get a little annoyed by the inconsistency of the their fries. Sometimes they are the best fries ever, golden crisp and cooked perfectly and other times they are a soggy mess. Very frustrating.I went here for dinner once and the prices I thought were a little to high for the location. I dont think I should be paying $28 for an entree from a place in the corner of a cheesy strip mall. The food was good and would have been worth the price at a nicer location.There is also a big happy hour crowd here so if you go on a weekday night expect a lot of noise from the bar crowd.

Went to an event at this establishment on Wednesday, November 21st.The place was extremely crowded. You could not get a drink at this place. I had to wait a half hour to be served. The second round of drinks I waited over half an hour and left. Whoever the Manager is, that was in charge of this event, should be fired. Hundreds of people were fruitlessly waiting to spend their money only to stand and wait. The Manager is incompetent to put on only 4 bartenders! I left and am writing this review in another bar. I will never return to this pathetic establishment again. It diseveres to go out of business!!

Fantastic restaurant. I am here twice a month and the food and service is second to none. They have live music and promotions for beer and wine that I dont see in other establishments. In addition, Mike, who owns the Grill is a class act all the way.

Our first time here was last Saturday March 3rd and was very disappointed. The food was just too bland and not prepared right for the cost of this restaurant, definitely would only go back if friends wanted to get a drink for happy hour.

Love the ambiance of this restaurant...great bar and food overall is great, but sometimes hit and miss. I would pass on the rack of lamb, but everything else was great. Their location in a cheap strip mall doesnt add to the overall experience, but once inside, youre good

I have been going to the Grill Room for years, it has always been my most favorite spot. My husband wanted to throw me a surprise dinner for my 40th birthday, and knowing this was my favorite spot, he chose this location. He set it up for people to arrive at 7:30pm and we got there at 8pm. By 10pm, they closed the bar down, and my husband asked if I could just get one more glass of wine, and the owner himself told him that sorry they close at 10pm, and it was late (seriously it was 10pm on the dot.) They were shutting lights and everything. I felt really bad for the waiters who felt awful being put into a position to cut us off so quickly. My guests all walked away feeling let down that we were getting booted out so fast. It probably would have helped if the owner explained they shut down at 10pm (on a Saturday night.) so my husband could have planned for a better location for the size of our group (about 18 guests).I think there are new owners. 4 years ago I had my sons baptism party there and everyone raved, but the previous owners were very accommodating, it is a shame they sold the place!So beware, if you want to have a nice dinner, get there early, otherwise, you will get rushed out.

Came here for Valentines Day. We got a Groupon for $60 worth of food but that didnt even cover most of the bill. Had to pay additional $45.The food wasnt absolutely terrible but it wasnt worth the price AT ALL. The location is weird too, its in a strip of stores and theyre trying to rack up the prices like its an NYC restaurant.Small portions and expensive prices.They give you one tiny piece of bread per person. Very small piece.We ordered an appetizer and it was small and not very good. The entrees werent up to par with my expectations. Not much flavor, and after wards felt pretty sick. Would not recommend or go back here again.

TERRIBLE!! This place has zero identity. You walk in and the there is someone playing live music so loud that you can’t have a conversation with someone 2 feet away. I’m all for live music but not at a place that is charging $30 an entree. The menu is a mish mosh of Italian and Asian fusion. We ordered food, the calamari came out well. The entrees were horrible!!! Everything was dry, over cooked and barely edible. There is no salvaging the food situation. Overall a terrible dining experience, spend your money someplace else because this place is garbage. The check came and automatically had an 18% gratuity added. I’ve never seen that on a group smaller then 6 before. Also asked to speak to the manager to remedy some issues, manager never came out.

One of the best night of great food and atmosphere I have seen in quite sometime. Going back next week to join happy hour crowd. The new owners have made the grill stonger the ever!

The place is not as good as i expected, but is not good or bad...... I went with my family and Each person ordered different things....... the steak marinated is DELICIOUS!!!! It is like if it is not from this world, however it is too small for the price....... The Crab Sandwich is really good also...... the pork was not well cooked and the fish & fries was BAD!!! It is really pricy.... you will have to wait a lot until they bring the food, so do not come hungry!

The food was delicious and the service was great. There was live music which was a bit loud but it was decent cover music. Inhad ordered the scallops. Very small portion of scallops. Only 4 medium to small scallops. They were good and tender and cooked perfectly. No need to cut them in half they are one bite full each. Dinner is done ok come again.

I give a 2 star because we really wanted to like this place. We have been there numerous times for happy hour because of the convenient location. When we first went we were shocked because the food was pretty good (although priced like fine dining) and a friend was playing music. The prices were bearable because of the convenience. Quickly the food became very erratic (uncooked wings, portion sizes always changing) and then prices seemed not worth. Tonight was last visit. We were at bar but not enough space to eat anything so we grabbed a table. The table was not in another room but only 8 feet from. The bar stools. We had the happy hour menu and the waitress said that we couldnt order from it. It was just for the bar..... 8 feet away. The prices were $3 higher on apps. I am a long time business owner and have never been cheap but when I questioned the waitress, she just had a blank stare. Finally the head bartender came over and rather than treat us like people who spent money there often, she stood her ground and said thats the way it is. Even said we dont need to tip. Customer service definitely not a strong suit. Enough.... We wont be back.

Food is really great here. outside patio is a great setup, and lets you enjoy top quality food outside. the inside is upscale, great bar area and they have music a lot of times.

My wife and I have been going to this spot for a few years now, and weve never had a bad meal. Consistently good food and drinks, and always great service. A definite gem to visit.

Always satisfying and delicious. I have a monthly mastermind lunch with a friend here and everytime I eat something different. Highly recommend.

Fantastic local restaurant offering great food, drinks and service. The pork chop is great, along with the mussels and pork sliders.

Waited over an hour after the waiter took our order to get our entrees. It was not a busy night, they had several open tables, no reason why it would take so long. On top of that, 3 out of 4 entrees were mediocre...

Food was good but expensive for such a limited menu, service was adiquite, coffee was not fresh, cleanliness is where this place failed. Not a good place to bring the kids.

This place needs help!! walked in for dinner party of two, ordered the skirt steak medium well what I received was very well done steak, my wife actually got sick after we arrived home, if you go there dont order the steak or the rigatoni!! its to bad I work right around the corner at LNK Inter. be aware when you walk in on a busy night and the place is empty walk away walk away!!! thought I was in Manhattan when I received the check

A quiet Thursday night, Date night for my husband & I, we choose The Grill in Hauppauge. Purchased a Groupon. We ordered baked clams $12, so-so, I ordered an appetizer Lamb chops $20 and my husband ordered Short Ribs entree. We also ordered 4 glasses of Pinot Noir. Lamb cops were tasty, my husband liked the ribs, just a very small portion with onions & escarole. They did NOT honor our Groupon! Mind you, we were the ONLY table sat at 8pm. I would not recommend this restaurant with so many others that provide exceptional Food & Service in this area!

Made a reservation at this restaurant for 11 people for Friday at 7:00 pm. Had I known there was music/singer I probably would not have booked this restaurant. My parents were in from out of town and celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. My father is 87 and has difficulty hearing as well as some vision issues.When we arrived we were seated at a table that had the most uncomfortable chairs I have ever sat in. The backs were almost completely open and you feel like youre falling through them and hard as a rock. The music was too loud for the place which had about 4 people at the bar and one table of 2. The open ceiling makes for some bad acoustics. My father was unable to hear anyone talk as it was way too loud. We then asked to be moved to the outside patio as there was only one other couple outside and the music was not playing outside. They begrudgingly moved us and then told us to make sure we brought all of our glasses with us. I found that odd that we had to take our own water glasses outside. Any restaurant Ive ever been to would make sure they were carried out.Once outside we were actually happy as the chairs were super comfortable and it was quiet and we could all hear each other talk. Then the singer decides to open the door from inside to outside and puts a speaker outside so once again we had music we couldnt escape. We complained and told our waitress that was why we asked to be seated outside, NO MUSIC. We asked if they could please close the door. We were the only ones outside. She said she had to go speak with her manager. No manager ever came outside to try to fix the issues and they just continued playing the music regardless. The lack of customer service really showed.Appetizers were lackluster. Breading on the calamari was falling off, not crispy enough. My caesar salad was made with soft mushy lettuce that seemed old and was browning. The entrees were okay but I found my salmon to be totally lacking in flavor. They brought out 1 or 2 entrees and then it took another few minutes before another 1 or 2 came out. By this time, everyones food was getting cold. 10 of us got our entrees and one was still missing. 10 minutes later and still no food, we finally had to say something.The service was terrible and we couldnt wait to leave. We left without having dessert. Not once did a manager come over to see how things were. Considering we were a party of 11 and the price of the restaurant, their customer service is severely lacking. They seem to just not care at all. The worst part was that because we were such a large party an 18% gratuity was added on automatically. Normally we tip 20%. In this case, I would never have even tipped the 18%, wouldnt have left nothing but the 18% was way too much for the service or lack of service we received.We would never return. So many fabulous restaurants to eat at that are in that same price range and have superior customer service.

Per their website, we thought they were open till 11 when the kitchen closed at 10. We showed up at 9:55 and the restaurant states they have to serve us, but the staff showed their displeasure. We walked out when we saw the chefs mouthing the F word and throwing their hands up in the open kitchen. Very unprofessional.
