Superb interactions and maintenance! Professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and experienced. I contacted the shop when my truck wouldn’t start for work. I called for a tow and and Dale greeted me and was ready to take care of my car immediately. He was done when he said he would be done. I do not trust many mechanics with my 1995 F-250 and have been to three in the local area within the last two weeks for minor things such as oil change, alignment, and windows. Dale has earned a new customer for life by recognizing and undoing the poor work done by a previous shop. I will not trust my truck with anyone else from this point forward. I witnessed Dels handling of my sons truck, and appreciated the service he received. So I took mine to Patriot. DO NOT GO THERE ALONE AND IF YOU’RE A WOMEN!! I needed a power break booster for my car and he said the part itself will be more than 800 dollars! Plus the service free almost at 200! I would have had to pay almost 1000 dollars for his service, when the part itself averages about 200 dollars. Figured this man thought I was young and oblivious and didn’t know anything about cars. Would not recommend

The only place in Havelock I will take my car to for engine repair. Del got my car and within a few days had the engine problem diagnosed, torn apart, and rebuilt. The car runs and drives great now. Very professional and a very quick turn around on quality work.

The crew at Patriot Automotive fixed some electrical issues on my 66 Plymouth Fury. They were quick to diagnose the issues and perform the repairs. Del thoroughly explained everything, and went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied with the work they did. The wiring is very original and hasnt been tampered with a lot, and I wanted it to stay that way and avoid invasive or surgical repairs if possible. You would never know Del touched the wiring if he didnt tell you, which is a dream come true. My worst nightmare was getting the car back with rainbow spaghetti. Thanks Del and the crew at Patriot Automotive! They dont claim to be the cheapest, but you get honesty and respect, and their experience is worth every penny.

Very professional, extremely helpful and is trying to get the job done without draining your pockets for all the extras. This is one of the only experiences with a car shop that I didn’t get treated differently or attempt to be scammed because I’m a female. Everyone is side was extremely polite and there was great communication between the mech and myself!The only down side is that they do charge almost $30 extra if you use a debit card to pay instead of cash and that was not disclosed to me until I arrived to pay so something to be aware of!

We are from out of town and called Dale on a Friday morning. He told me to drive right over. His team even gave me a ride back to where we were staying. We needed an alternator. My sons car broke down and we live over 1k miles away from him so we were limited in helping him. We knew it was going to be an expensive and difficult repair because the car is upgraded with many modifications. When calling repair shops in the area we talked to Dale and he was terrific and so helpful. He fixed the car fast, professional and at a reasonable price. Took my truck in with air conditioning problems, and Del told me that if I could leave it with him that he would find the problem. Absolutely amazing service! Haven’t even had my work done but am definitely coming back to him when I have the funds! Not only worked with me around my schedule but explained in depth things to do and not do if I end up not having the work done with him. Had less than a day turn around from dropping off a car that wouldn’t shift into Drive to a solution and less than 5 day turn around if I decided to have the work done. Dale is an absolutely amazing person with a sweet heart! Happy to have found his shop!!!

Now if your just wanting to replace a item he wont let you if he works on 1 item he has to service the whole system.. but has always treated me and my family great. He even lost a set of keys and reached into his pocket and replaced the chip key for Christmas.. and iwas a 180 dollars. Now the only time I had a issue was when I kept hearing rubbing on the brakes and there was alot if rust in the braking system its a northern truck and they said they couldnt find what was making that sound.. turned out to the brakes were decenatgrayed.. but as in service and talking with you before he works and going the extra mile my man does go that mile..but like I said if you just want one part like a air compressor changed out he wont do that he has to service the complete system..

My boyfriend took his truck there to have work done. Turns out the place he took it to previously didn’t do the job properly., which was causing the leaking issue he was having. He took it to patriot Automotive, the owner and employees were above and beyond polite courteous helpful and honest. They fixed the problem that the other garage caused and didn’t even charge him. He tried to buy them lunch but they wouldn’t have it. LOL. Great place trustworthy honest Americans. Will take my vehicle there any day!

I don’t leave reviews but my experience with Patriot Auto was amazing! Del helped me with issues I was having with my truck while taking care of the main reason I was there. He’s not a guy who will try to take your money he wants to figure the problem out first so he’s absolutely sure what he replaces fixes the problem. Not to mention his pricing was cheaper than any other shop around and even then they wouldn’t but absolutely sure they will fix it. I would recommend Patriot Auto 100 out of 100 times! Del is a wonderful man and so was the gentleman who was working there (forgive me but I have forgotten his name). My A/C in my 2013 Challenger was not blowing cold at all in Late March/Early April. I left my car with him and he called me before he did anything at all. I was in and out in a day. I waited to write my review to test the A/C and it works perfectly. Feels like the Artic at times. Absolutely amazing price. Extremely knowledgeable and super kind. I would 150% take my Challenger and/or Ram back if anything happened.

I was so apprehensive about another trip to auto service center add in an over $1000 bill to fix it, Id rather have a root canal by Dr. Davis. My brakes were acting weird, but replaced by another shop up the street a year ago. I was at a loss. My tire was flat and I had no way of refilling it without potentially damaging my wheel by driving to a air pump. They let me use one of their air tanks for free and were very pleasant. Great people all around.

We have taken our vehicles to Patriots Auto four times now. Most recently, we thought we might have needed our brakes changed. However, upon further inspection, they found that we needed our rear hub assembly changed. They gave us a phone call to let us know what was really going on before they did any work, which we really appreciated. The shop is very knowledgeable, fair priced, and prompt. The employees are friendly and hospitable. We will definitely continue to do our business here.

I had to get my brake lines replace as well as the rear calipers, patriot auto got it done fast and right. Haven’t had any problems since. He also replaces my rear axle, he ordered it and got it done in a few hours. I really can’t complain here. And offers military discount. You can really trust this place.

Dale is a great man. I called about a noise in my tire on my truck got me in within 15mins, and that’s counting the drive. I dropped off the truck and they even gave me a ride back home for the wait. Mr. Dale up held his word and did a great job on a carburetor rebuild that I couldnt personally do at the time because of my work schedule. He also corrected a few smaller things that he saw. Got it done quickly and efficiently. He also helped me out because of the tight position I was in and worked with my schedule. I will be coming back. Best shop in Havelock hands down. This man has honor and thats hard to find nowadays in the mechanic world.

Went in for problems with a transmission, by far the best experience with an auto shop. As someone who does most of the work on my vehicles myself, I typically stay from auto shops because they always seem to just care about making as much money as they can off of one problem. Dale took time to diagnose potential problems and the solutions on my behalf, even solutions I could try myself first. Seems like a very fair business operator and definitely someone Id trust coming to.

Today I got out of work at 11am I called Patriot Automotive they had no hesitation that my car would be good to drive by the end of the day. They closed at 3pm today. My ride was not even 5 minutes down the road when I dropped my car off. My car was in the garage hood up diagnostics running before I even left. When I got home and I receive a call. I test drive my car for about 30 minutes and the problem was gone. I was so impressed at the speed of Patriot Automotives work. They have a good heart there and are always trying to help. There is a reason this guy has a 4.9 on google reviews. I just went in to ask about my cars since we were new here. He gave information that made my life easier about the cars for the havelock area. Definitely be going to him for any vehicle work I need done. ( fyi, Ive lived in cities like Dallas, el paso, st.louis. NEVER have I seen a 4.9 with any business. A 4.0 generally get my attention)

Would like to thank Patriot Automotive Center. My wife, my younger son, our dog and I all traveled from Michigan to Virginia to pick up my older son and his wife for a family vacation. While in Virginia I had to use the parking brakes because the ground was not level that I was parking on in Virginia. We all left Virginia and headed to Havelock, North Carolina. Among other obligations, we were to go herping in the surrounding public lands. We kept hearing a squeaking noise coming from the back passenger rear wheel. I took the car to 5 shops that said they could not get to my problem for at least a day. The 6th shop was Patriot Automotive Center. Immediately my car was diagnosed with a bound parking brake cable and fixed within 15 minutes. Here is the truly appreciated part of the saga,...When I asked the person that fixed the car how much I owe them he said, can you smile real big? I replied, yes? and smiled and he said, paid in full. All of this generosity was during July 4th tourist season! He refused a gratuity of $20 so we drove off very grateful. Great People!

One stand up operation! My brothers family is traveling to NC from Alabama and their trucks oil gauge starts fluctuating. He stops at a dealership in Columbia, SC to check it out and they say he needs a new motor. We call Dale explaining the situation and the cost estimates provided of between $6 & $8,000... He doesnt believe the diagnosis and recommends towing it up to him. He coordinates the towing, checks bearings, refills the oil and ends up repairing a chaffed wire to the oil pressure gauge...problem resolved. My brother got his truck back in less than a week at a fraction of the cost. Service and professionalism just doesnt get any better... Job well done Dale! You have our business!!!

This repair shop is awesome. I had been to several places between MHDC and Havelock and no one would help us. Del was extremely professional and took care of the problem right away. The waiting area was very clean and we were treated like we were their only customer. Semper Fi and thank you so much.

The service provided by Dail and his staff is undescribable! They worked on my 2007 Volvo S60 and it runs better than the day we first bought it. I had the car to multiple mechanics for a check engine light. Most of the mechanics couldnt figure out what was wrong, the rest just flat out said they cant fix the car, and even the Volvo dealer told me there was no reason for the light to be on.So I searched for another mechanic and Patriot Automotive Center came up. Took the car in and Dail hooked it up to his scanner and found around 17 codes that were causing the check engine light. He explained every code and how it could be fixed. If he changed out a sensor or part and the original ended up not being bad, he put the original back in and didnt charge for the unused part (this saved thousands of dollars). He communicated on everything that he did and even showed what work was being done. This is the most transparent business I have ever dealt with! Not only is your car fixed like new when you get it back, but Dail backs his work 100%. All my business will definitely be going to Patriot Automotive!

I made a new friend the other day and his name is Del. Del owns and operates Patriot Automotive in Havelock. I pull into Dels shop and with in 5 minutes, the hood of my truck is open and Del is using his 44 years of experience diagnosing the problem. Del gives me his three ideas to what might be the problem. He runs a couple test and has it figured out. Del orders the part and has me driving away in an hour. I have never gotten so much attension and service for automotive repair. When it came time to pay, he broke down for each cost; labor, parts and fluids. Gave me a total (before Uncle Sam takes his cut) I felt I got the deal of a life time.My intension is to sell my truck, Del took the time to check out 3 different websites to get a target selling price. He determine I was not asking enough for my truck and could ask up to $1200 more. Del took the extra time to help out someone he met only an hour ago. Like I said, I made a friend today.
