My first time, Ive heard about this store how people that buy lottery win. When I saw all those winning tickets on the ceiling and walls I was stunned. Fast service! Pleasant faces.

This is good place to go if you play lottery. Ive been blessed many times over the years with winnings. Ive been coming here since the early 1990s. Ive moved out of the area now and dont come as often as I would like to. But I still patronize this place at least once a month. I will always be a happy & loyal customer. This rating is solely for the lotto :) went on a sunday afternoon, around the time when both mega and powerball have high jackpot prizes, i waited in line for about 45minutes. once inside, you could sew all the other jackpot winner posters all around tge store. the bluebird, which is now covered in money, is tucked in the corner of the counter

Got in line at the wrong time just as the breaks were started. So a little wait time but once they got back they got all registers open and were fast but not rushed. Liked the service tonight. Plus I did win a 10 ticket so thats always good. Now just waiting for the lotto to kick in. 😆 that would be nice. Plenty of parking nearby so that part was good too.

Lines are long when the jackpot is high! Best tip, if you actually buy something besides lottery you can avoid the long lines in front of the store by using the side door but you have to buy something! Buy atleast $2.00 worth of grocery items and you wont have to wait in the long line. However when the jackpot is extremely high such as 500 million and over. You are going to wait in just the lottery line no matter what...Good Luck to all and Happy waiting!

For those that dont know/know, Blue Bird Liquor has the reputation and has sold multiple quickpick winning tickets over the years for California Lottery and scratcher games. So when I am in the area which is rare, I always make it point to stop by Blue Bird and grab a couple of quickpicks.There are two separate lines...one for Lottery and one to buy item/s at Blue Bird. 9 times out of 10, the lottery line is always longer than the item/s line. While waiting in line, if you look up at the ceiling, you will see all the winners over the years on cardboard cutouts which is pretty cool.All my encounters with employees at Blue Bird Liquor over the years has been pleasant.If you are near or in Hawthorne, stop by Blue Bird Liquor and grap a quickpick. It might be a winner.

The name speaks for itself. Took a bit more time than expected to be served. It was quite busy for a rainy evening. Only other thing is entry sign pointed opposite side if was busy could have been a problem.

It is always a treat to go to Blue Bird Liquor. The cashiers are super friendly and make everyone feel like one of the group. And it us one of the few places around that has tables and chairs for the lottery players.

The lines are stop confusing. Not convenient at times when I just want to purchase a store item and not lottery. Please organize line according to those that want to purchase lottery or store bought items.

Though its not a bar, it feels like Cheers! The staff behind the counter never take themselves too seriously and they are always ready for a laugh! LOVE this place❣

Its a very lucky busy retailer for lottery tickets and the staff is super nice and the owner James is also super nice they sell more Lucky Lotto tickets than any other California retailer sometimes if the jackpot is large there will be a line but they try to get through it as quickly as possible.
