They have fashionable shoes that are pretty healthy for your feet. I am always tempted to stop there. They also have a measurement system for orthotics. I have tons of shoes ranging from 4 spiked heals to you name it and buy all over the world. I tend to more the fashionable side but it is nice to have some comfort in this. They have quite a few brands that women love. Daria is always so kind and so is her staff. If you want a boutique experience. This is one of them in the Coeur DAlene area.

I love fabulous shoes, and the only thing better is COMFORTABLE and quality shoes! This treasure of a store has a wide variety of styles, and I am consistently wearing something that I bought here, year-round. The value and prices are fair, and the customer service exceptional!

My recent experience with Once Upon A Shoe was extremely disheartening. I brought in a pair of boots that I received as a Christmas gift from my fiancé. My goal was to exchange them for the color I wanted and purchase an additional pair of shoes while I was there. When he purchased the boots for me in late December, he told the lady the exact same thing...that I’d most likely be exchanging them for the color I had my heart set on. She assured him that wouldn’t be a problem. To my surprise, and his, there is a two week return/exchange policy. This was not disclosed to him at the time of purchase. In addition, she refused to exchange them because I didn’t have the original box. He wrapped them with other items and placed them in a gift bag. He was not told to keep the box since she knew I’d be exchanging them. I had the gift receipt, but none of that mattered to her. These boots were close to $200! Her suggestion was for me to sell them on Craig’s List, as opposed to making it right for a customer. I would’ve paid for a restocking fee, since I no longer had the box they came in and only the gift receipt. When I offered that option to her, she still refused to come up with a solution. A brand new pair of Taos boots, never worn, gift receipt, previous customer, and she would not work with me. I waited all day, hoping I’d hear from her for a solution that would work for both the business and for me (the customer)...but nothing. Thoroughly disappointed.

Had a great shopping experience. Will be back 😉
