I had a service appointment to check out an electronic malfunction on my car. My appointment was with Ray and when I arrived he was able to check me in close to my appointment time. He was very thorough with the questions that he asked. He gave me an estimate of how long it would take for them to have my car ready. During the diagnostics, the error could not be recreated and he did all he could to ensure that my car was safe. I was very impressed with the level of detail and the numerous updates I got during my visit. Ray gave impeccable service today and I will defined be booking my next appointment with him.

We bought a Honda Odyssey 2015 at Autonation Hayward exactly one week ago. Yesterday, our car would not start anymore and we had to call AAA. AAA determined that the battery was dead. They said that the battery was already defective when we bought the car and became a hazard during this heat. Basically they told us we were lucky it didnt explode (see pic attached how battery changed its shape!) To top this off, the AAA guys noticed excessive oil under the engine hood - to make everything look more shiny. They told us, had the battery exploded the car could have easily caught fire.
Would have been 5 stars, but I had to be at the dealer longer than needed. There is room for process improvement and training. Issue with my situation was getting a payoff, which just took way too long, when it could have been handled better.
Just because there is a shortage of cars these guys (especially the manager) treat customers very badly. They told me they have a car available. I drove one and a half hours and I kept updating them all the way, confirmed it is available for me to pick and reach on time. Still, they sold a guy just because they came 1 minute early(Thats what the manager said when I asked why didnt they tell us on the way). The shocking part manages rudely told us that the situation and we have to bear. They could have updated me on my way to the dealership and at least should show some good manners, could have offer to oder one for future. It was clear the manager and sales guys were trying to get their sales bonus without any concerns for the customer.

My buying experience was great from start to finish. I made contact online & received a prompt reply to set up an appointment to see the car that I was interested in. Ramin was professional, did not pressure or push me to buy or to upgrade beyond what I wanted. I received good value for my trade in. The financial paperwork was done quickly and smoothly, with the offer of service plans etc. presented but not pressured. All in all a 5 star experience!

Our salesperson, Joe, was amazing! He was very helpful and made us feel at ease, which is why we drove 2 hours to purchase the vehicle. However, the finance guy ( don’t remember his name…middle eastern gentleman)we did our paperwork with was so awful!!!!!! He was very angry when we denied buying his offered services(added warranties) and would not stop. I get it that is how you make money, but come on?!?!?? He was the only bad thing about that experience .
Simple process: schedule your appointment, view the vehicle, talk numbers and head out with your new car. Picked up a new Tacoma this month and was out in two hours or less. The sales person was straight forward, had knowledge and was efficient .The finance team is also quick and can answer any questions if any, This is the second vehicle that I purchase from Toyota.
I recently moved out of state. Carlos Saldivar patiently walked me through my service history and answered all my questions with how to get set up with service at the new dealership. He noticed that they forgot to let me know about changing my spark plugs at my last service in Ca. When I told him I got it done at a shop outside of the Toyoya network he offered to cover the cost. This level of integrity is very rare these days. Great service!
We went into test drive a used car they had just received. The car was cleaned up, but, not yet detailed. Our Salesperson was amazing and super helpful ! He explained how they just received the car and did a quick cleaning when I scheduled the test drive. That if I did purchase it would take a few days for them to detail the inside and out. Not only was he detailed and transparent - he was extremely friendly !!! He helped us with so much ! However, their sales manager who basically “sealed the deal” was pompous and straight up disappeared for almost an hour. If we did the test drive with him instead we would have walked. We came in pre-approved already and he acted like we needed to figure out our financing and We needed to wait for them to do all the banking. I Told him no. I have bought a car with this financing company and was in and out in 1.5 hours including the test drive. We sat there for over three hours!!!! After everything was said and done, our original sales guy continued to be amazing and called to let us know updates on the car and when it would be ready! It took them about 4 days to get the car ready for pick up. They car looked brand new, they painted a large scratch, put on brand new tires, and even filled the tank for us ! We are very happy with our purchase !

Had a good experience with Tom, the sales representative. He had a great personality and tried his best to answer any questions we had. We stayed till after hours to finish the process and he was still there to send us off with a smile. The bad review is mainly for the financial advisor we worked with when we purchased our truck. I understand it was late, but it was still his job to provide us with excellent service. First, he never told us his name. He was rushing and neglected answering any questions we had. He did not explain to us why and only answered no. He even said Oh my god with a big sigh because I did not write down my phone number on the form. Well, it wasnt highlighted. I blatantly said he was being rude to us and he did not acknowledge it. He continue to tell us to just fill out the form without asking us how he was being rude. After telling him he was being rude, then i see less of an attitude but unfortunately my experience with this whole situation was already ruined.
! needed a car...and the one I found was at AutoNation Toyota in Hayward. I was absolutely *dreading* the process. A dealership, ugh. The phrase lemme check with my manager, immediately provokes an involuntary eye roll. I am pleased to report that this transaction was quick & painless due to Henry the Finance Guy. He was kind, funny, thorough, and efficient. He didnt try to b.s. me and was respectful of my wishes & my budget. Told me I needed service when I do not. 2021 Rava4 with less that 20,00 miles and they are tell me it needed the radiator fluid changed and a few other services that would cost me an additional $700 plus dollars. They are ripping off their LOYAL customers. Not anymore. I will take my car elsewhere

I arrived Saturday 10/2 to buy a 2011 kia sportage. After purchasing the car and heading home I noticed when accelerating the car pulls to the right, when taking my foot off the gas the car pulls to the left. I immediately turned around back to the dealership. They told me after they took it for a drive that it was just the alignment and to come back Monday so they can realign it. Got there at 9am Told me it would be 2 hours for the repair. After 2 hours they come back to me. And tell me its not the alignment but a stripped bolt and needs to go to the shop. And itll be a couple days. Obviously Im frustrated now so the Mechanic Ray pulls some strings to get the car ready same day just at the end of the business day. So I waited. 4pm comes and Ray and the sales manager sit me down to tell me that its not the stripped bolt causing the pulling of the car and that they actually dont know what the issue is but its a safety hazard to drive and itll be a few days to figure it out. Mind you, the salesman told me during the test drive that the car just passed safety inspection. So now 2 whole days wasted and literally Only 1 person even had had the customer service skills to apologize for this whole situation and no, it was none of the 4 sales/customer service people I talked to. It was Ray the mechanic guy who I barely had any interaction with. Ray is a good dude. But the rest of them had the attitude like we got our sales who cares about him anymore. so car has been returned and they lost a sale because of terrible customers service and selling me a car the supposedly pass safety inspection yet was still a safety hazard with unknown issues. Never coming here again and you shouldnt either

My salesman Ahmad Qayomie went above and beyond to help us buy our car. He was kind, friendly, and overall a very professional person. He even drove 1.5 hours to our home town so that my 74 year old mom did not have to drive up to Hayward and wait around the dealership all day for the car buying process. The only thing negative is that the financing managers were so busy and we had to wait a very long time to complete our loan. Otherwise the buying process was not stressful and was rather pleasant all due to our salesman.

My experience here started out like every other dealer experience in my life, which was in a word horrible and I wont drag out the details but once Dylan got involved I can say its made me an AutoNation Hayward customer for life. I live in Los Angeles would not hesitate to fly into the area again should a purchase need arise. FJ, our salesman, was great. Hes a busy man but attentive and will keep you updated despite being spread thin. Great attitude and a big help.Dylan however, is a shining example of a true manager, someone who well belongs in his position(or higher in my opinion). I have yet to experience anyone in a car dealership thats as honest and straight forward as is he. Dylan went above and beyond even my wildest expectations to make things right. We visited quite a few car dealers in the last several weeks in searching for a new hybrid or hybrid plug-in car. None of them was as courteous and straightforward as AutoNation Toyota Hayward. They gave us a price quote, without my having to negotiate, which was lower than the other Toyota dealers in the area, and they were absolutely up-front and consistent in every aspect of our interaction with them.The sales agent, Diego Navarro, informative, personable and delightful. I recommend him and this dealership very highly.

Had a great experience with the sales reps Michael and Ahmad. I also really appreciated the finance rep Alex, he was very organized and was not sleezy trying to get us to buy more he was very straight forward and kind. They matched my true car estimate very quickly and seemed like it was no hassle. The only thing that kinda sucked was after the sell was complete we had to wait almost 40 minutes to get the car cleaned and gas put in but its not their fault because they only had 2 people detailing that day and a busy morning of sales. Bought a car and everything seemed fine at first but… after a few days I noticed the cars tpms sensors were dead, the alignment was off and the tires needed to be balanced. The cv boot has a shows signs of a leak or crack, when the a/c is running it squeaks. The lumbar support is broken so it’s extremely uncomfortable to drive and yeah you guessed it after the 5 day return period your a ghost to them. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them. Oh and they lost the wheel key to the car so I have to pay through the nose to have them take the wheels off.
This is how buying a car should be, no nonsense, friendly and fair. Other stores in the area are rude and will try to take advantage of you but not Hayward Toyota. Ask for Sean he was great.

I stay in Atlanta the car was shipped and delivered I still have not received any documents for my car and also the car was supposed to be serviced before it was delivered and was NOT when I received the car the check engine light was on when driving the vehicle it has a loud muffling noise also I never received a temporary tag that I was supposed to receive over a week ago now I call almost every day and get the run around or it’s always Eric the Manager is going to call you back or the Managers are in a meeting this has been nothing but a headache

This was by far the best experience with customer service Ive ever had. When going in to get work done on your vehicle, I highly recommend asking for Heidi. She took care of me like no other had before at any auto shop. She is VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE about cars and trucks. The second I pulled up she was at my truck window asking questions. She had me in and out in about 10min. Wouldve been faster but they had a few customers infront of me. You still cant beat ten minutes any where else.
