Wasted a hour for two rib eyes, and just overall bad bad customer service all around, I had to bagged my own groceries...

They have really good prices on meat but it’s hard for me to get someone to help me. I will patiently wait, but it’s like I’m invisible to the people at the meat counter. Even though they have you take a number, the Spanish speakers get helped before me. It’s been that way here for years, they would have more business if people from all cultures were treated equally.

Great, great produce selection, very fresh n inexpensive, baked goods look appetizing but havent tried any yet meats are ok but a long line of people waiting for service. Cashier was new n in training, made a mistake but corrected it with oversight of a supervisor. Very friendly, courteous n accommodating. Would shop here more often.

I had a very bad experience in this store. I bought some items and after paying and leaving I remember I forgot to purchase something. I came back into the store and an employee came up to me accusing me of stealing bags from the store to shop lift. How can you just accuse someone without proof. The employe was so rude and put all my purchase items out to check to see everything was in the receipt I had and when he realised everything was ok he never apologize. The worst customer service

This supermarket is good and convenient. They have all kind of groceries and cooked food, and also meat and poultry.

Great Selection Of Everything, But Its Always And Forever Busy Everywhere And Too Often I See Unmasked People Cordially Walking Through The Store With No One Approaching Them To Say They Need Kne As The Sign Says... I Had A Woman(Staff) In The Meat Section Put Gloves On To Get Me Meat, But When She Was Done With Me, She Didnt Change The Gloves To Deal With Someone Elses Meat, I Was Disgusted... Only Reason I Still Go Is Because Its Really Close...

Customer service is good and the quality of their vegetables are good for the most part. I only shop for fresh fruits and vegetables there

Service is slow some of the slowest cashiers. Dont buy the shrimp cocktail its a rip off you only get 5 shrimps rest is all vegetables.

Its okay. Hard to find low carb or low sugar alternatives like pudding but I did find nice low calorie bread. The prices dont seem lower than any other grocery store. I go there because its close to my house but in general I prefer Lucky or Trader Joes. Do people think they are getting a deal here? Doesnt seem like it. The Mexican pastries are tasty but Ive had ones as Food Max that are just as good or better.

My go-to grocery store, I like it very much, I am giving it four stars just because at peak hours they have very few cashiers for the lots of customers they get, so we end up waiting long times in line to pay.

Make sure to pick up you recipe booklet with a calendar T last page when at register. Give you all the traditional dishes such as tamales, pozole to enjoy. All ingredients can be found in store including sweet Masa for sweet tamales!

Your butchers are friendly and respectful in spite of language minor barriers. The shop is clean and merchandise are well displayed. My favorite spot is the bakery. Love to bring cookies and bread home.

We used to do our grocery shopping here but costumer service is the worst so we go somewhere else and sometimes we come back just for pan dulce or something small like that and they keep reminding us why we shouldnt be coming back here...

Very racist store manager threw me out as soon as I walked in because I had a backpack that I brought to carry my groceries in because Im white but I seen lots of Mexicans with their own bags

Went there to buy the grilled whole chicken on sale. Had to wait 20 minutes for it to be cooked but the clerk honor my place in line and gave it to me first. It was a great gesture!

Supermarket experiences are hard to review. Its a hit or miss thing. Mostly because its an entry-level type of job. One day you get a really good employee and the next day shes gone. The produce here is mostly catered to the Hispanic population. I come here for the discounted produce. It can be cheaper than Safeway or Luckys. Today I met a friendly woman who showed me how to eat fresh garbanzo beans. And at the register I had a cashier lady who spoke fluent English. The employees here are mostly friendly and helpful. Too bad there are no self check out stands.

Very bad attitude on refund, I have been shopping for years here, never checked my receipts. Recently I noticed overcharged on 2 items, done deliberately. Clerk admitted to that but refused to refund the amount saying it was over a week now. No one will venture out in Corona times for a refund of $5?Moreover clerks kept me waiting more than 20 minutes to let me know no manager was available. I called store almost 20 times, no one answered.They have been just trained to decline refund. Poorly educated and trained staff. I hope concerned government departments takes action against them as overcharging deliberately is illegal.

Unfriendly non English staff

This place has really gone down. No lot boys, no carts, 20 people in each of only three check outs, employees stand around while customers wait. It took 45 minutes to buy three things. Then, as icing on the cake some woman started screaming into the PA system over music that is always too loud. Come on people, clean up your act.

So disappointed today about not able to go inside store here in Hesperian Hayward location. Because I had a bagpack!!! The store employee assingedin front of the store pointed no bagpack sign, but for goodness sake it was my purse. So your not allowed to have a sporty purse bagpack anymore!? Since when???

Tasty, fresh, authentic Mexican food ready to eat piping hot! Served to order. Reasonable priced. 12 (1 dozen) pork tamales hot and ready, only $18.99 or $1.99 for 1. Tastes like home-made. Guacamole is delicious...chunky and beautiful.

I used to shop Mi Pueblo all the time until the end, I noticed that their quality and customer service was left to be desired. So, I was excited to see Cardenas Market taking over. I thought that they would clean up the stores and have better customer service skills, but I can see that Im wrong. I visited the Hayward CA store on Hesperian Ave. First problem was no shopping carts in the store. Second, two cashiers. Third the produce was picked though leaving a bad selection. Fourth, the store was with dirty floors. This is no way to earn Customers, I left. Since I wanted the sale items I went to the other Hayward location. There it was better but not by much. Let this be known... I dont like their ways of operations but I do like some of their pricing, so I will only shop the sales items.

This place was mi pueblo before.Cardenas, now, can upgrade to what it was before. Items out of stock, wrapping of product on shelves, trash on floor. The last of fruit left on the stand had flies on it. Is there someone working in produce that can throw that away.Some produce less than fresh.The cashier, had a grumpy attitude. Made me almost want to walk out with out the few items i purchased.Definitely not going back

Best place to get some great Latin foods

Store always looks clean and organized, and the cashiers are friendly.

Parking lot is so badly designed, I try to park further away from the stores. The whole center feels grimy but Mi Pueblo is the closest Mexican market to my apartment. World Donuts is on the other end of the building and has pretty good donuts. Theres also a Japanese restaurant close to the donut place and a decent Vietnamese restaurant.Update: Mi Pueblo at this location has closed and Cardenas has taken over.

Super expensive, expect to spend MOST OF YOUR TIME TRYING TO PAY since they ONLY HAVE 2 CASHIERS. (See pictures)The tamales are horrible it only has masa with virtually no salsa nor chicken or pork.

This location, is big and clean and open! I love it! The staff is friendly and helpful. Parking can be a little crowded during the weekend but I really like shopping at this location. All of the items are easy to find, I always walk out with more things than I expected.

They treat their employees so badly it’s incredible. I have seen what seem to be managers of the store give orders and then proceed to slack off while the regular employees deal with the busy lines.

Just went to cárdenas and the store looks very well stocked. Service seems good too.

I dont really live in the area around Mi Pueblo but when I do go and visit my experience is always top notch. This is an authentic Hispanic grocery store, at least to the best of my knowledge and experience.When I go I always get the fried pork rinds (chicharrón). Although it is a salty, deep fried snack with bits of fat still on the skin, it is a must have. It really is addictive.The pastries are also beautifully colored with bright pink buns and yellow smiley face cookies. Sometimes I like to get a loaf of bread to bring home but it is nothing too extra-ordinary.All-in-all this is a must visit place if you enjoy Hispanic food.

Lines too long...higher prices than Luckys. Bought prepackaged ceviche took one bite and threw it away. Was old. Caught kid putting hands on every cookie they were offering for tasting. Nasty all around. Bring Mi Pueblo back!!!!

So much to choose from. Great products. Fresh produce and meats. They also give samples of their chips, salsa and guacamole. Lines can get very long in the afternoon-evening times.

Can they hire more cashiers, butchers, pastry assistance, and Cooks ? I mean I like the meat, they have good sales and the burrito are the best burritos better than any restaurant, but waiting on line and I every department sucks big time, I have to plan my grocery shopping at this place, I have to clear my schedule, not convenient

This place is awesome. Authentic Mexican food products, brands, and the best is the specialty prepared meat department where you can order many different types of raw or cooked Mexican style meats. Huge selection of chicharrones made fresh on premises. They also have a tacqueria inside. The burrito i ordered for - $10 was the best and largest Ive ever had. I cant wait to go back and get another.

Their posole is so good. My hangover cure. Their monster tacos are huge and for only 2-3 dollars. Love their bakery too

Even though the products they sell are a bit overpriced, some of them are well worth it, like the meat and seafood sections, althoug service is terrible not because of the employees but because of being under staffed, they need to hire more people a.s.a.p. there are lines for everything. If you decide to go make sure you know you are going to be there way longer than you anticipate.

Service is very poor not enough personal they made you wait to get service when you buy meat and made you wait at the cashierI spot the manager about this he was at the cashier helping other customer wait into he was free and immediately he took other customer with out even look me.. his responded was we are busy because the Holliday I said good luck with your store ...

The bad experience ever! They dont have anything in the vegetables section, just somes things but in very bad condition. Is complicated to explain on details about each section around the entire store, but everything there is not working appropriately. Also the associates, they always acting rude to the customers. I never saw something like that in a big store ho is representing a big and very important name like Cardenas Markets!

I only buy produce and salsa there. Their fruit is usually better, and better-priced, than Safeway. Their salsas are fresh and authentic.

Service not as good as when they first open some years ago. I remember when all employees where so pleasant they will greet you and ask if you needed any help. Now they walk by you and nothing n when you ask is like youre bothering them. Today Thursday went in at 2pm long lines and only 2 registers open they each had like 10-15 customers and when I asked if they had someone else to open another line they simply just said no without a care or an apology.

My husband and I would shop at Mi Pueblo every so often. The quality of the food, meat, and veggies were good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.Ever since it was turned into Cardenas... The quality of everything steeped way too low. The staff doesnt give a fudge about their customers. I didnt know the original Mi Pueblo staff too much but I cant seem to find familiar faces now. The bread area is the worst. The staff used to carefully wrap and package breads and deserts beautifully in a paper bag so that the frosting and stuff doesnt stick to each other. Now you just throw them in a plastic bag (-_-). By the time you get to your hot car, drive back home, all the frosting and/or toppings has melted, soaking and contaminating the rest of the bread.The staff at the meat area are horrible. This doesnt apply to all the staff there but they also dont give a fudge. Last time I was there, only one person was helping out a whole bunch of people. The guy even asked for a person in back to help him out but nope, he didnt care. The customers were even getting angry for waiting so long. The meat area used to have a few staff at hand but I guess they cut people short!I really miss Mi Pueblo and their quality. Please improve your staff and standards.

I always come here before a BBQ for the marinated meat and chips and salsa! They also have yummy desserts and pan dulces!When coming here for the meat, make sure you come early, the lines are always crazy long.

Service needs lots of improvements, Front End management do not lead by example and they lack customer satisfaction. My house is two blocks away so I go there pretty often and is rare when I have a good customer service, except for a lady at the meat department whose name I dont know, shes always super, nice friendly and fast!!

Food is good but parking is really hard to find, super busy and packed all the time. Little bit sketch of an area so be aware in the parking lot. Otherwise, mi Pueblo has the best guac and other house made items.

Their fresh made drinks are the best. they have so many to chose from. The cakes are ok, not all that and the food is good.
