Just went to Cycle Gear on Saturday and picked up a new motorcycle helmet, riding pants and shoes! This place is the BEST. Kerry, one of the guys that worked there took really good care of me. Just stopped in the Hayward location and once again same experience these people make you feel like family. Nothing feels retail about your experience whatsoever. Yet they still stay busy focused and ready to assist you with all matters of your purchase, I don’t know what they do in the training but companies really should follow this type of customer service.This is the way people want to be treated and it’s also nice to know that different locations actually do have different items.

Went in today for a tire change, and even though they were extremely busy, I was greeted with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Marcus quickly replaced the tire for me, and unlike other places didnt scratch the wheel!! Great work! Highly appreciated 👍

Great shop for all your motorcycle needs. I walked into this shop with no knowledge whatsoever and the staff took their time to educate me on proper fit and gear for my needs. I recently had an issue with my helmet and the guys worked on it for about an hour; sadly it wasnt fixable and they immediately offered me a replacement helmet at no additional cost to me. I highly recommend this shop

I went there and the door was locked. I called and the guy said hed unlock the doors in a couple minutes. I got there 40 minutes after they opened. 0 stars because he never unlocked the doors. I waited almost 10 minutes. He could have easily told me the entrance was in the back. I just left after that.

I was greeted when I walked into the store and the staff were very helpful by asking me if I need anything or have any question. They showed me some items and gave me some information on what I was looking for and I end up purchasing a new helmet with the recommendation. Overall, good experience and I will go there again to buy stuff.The older gentleman that works there was very helpful and recommended me a clearance helmet which I bought and offered me a free cleaning product.

I came to cycle gear to purchase a tube and the young kid that helped me in the front was very nice and accommodating. His manager, however, was extremely rude and interrupted the transaction to make a small comment to his employee. Not to mention meanwhile his employees were helping customers, the phone was ringing off the hook and he was in the back office not even trying to help answer phones! This poor review is focused towards the manager at this establishment. If you visit this cycle gear, avoid the manager at all cost.

These guys are excellent. Even when returning or exchanging theyre willing to get me exactly what I need. Or want in some instances. Sharing there knowledge of what they sell or even dont sell. Good prices & inventory is always on par. Thanks again!

I generally buy things from their website and only go into the store when I need a tire change service or something in a pinch. Ive changed multiple tires with them and so far no issues. The service is at a great price if you bought the tire from them or Revzilla. Without the discount, price is still cheaper than the dealership and most motorcycle shops.Only qualm is that they did not give my valve cap back. Cost me 50 cents :(

Fantastic! Joseph assisted me to pick out a helmet. He explained all of the safety features, comfort features, and various styles, at all price points. He emphasized the safety aspects. I never felt rushed to make a decision. I ended up buying a beautiful new Shoei helmet!!

My son and I needed all new off road gear. We spent a couple hours and found everything we needed from head to toe. The entire crew was very helpful and they’re just cool guys!Kerry helped us out most, hooked us up with the ReveR app, and took extra time making sure all the gear was compatible. He even separated everything to our individual gear bags. On the ride home, my son commented that he wants to work with people like that, “they are all cool and having fun”! Customer service is poor. This store is more focused on the sale and pushing the customer out the door and completely ignoring patronage. I purchased ( ordered at the Hayward store) a helmet on 4/10/21. I was told my receipt was emailed. When I checked my email later that day, it was not there. When I picked up the helmet on 4/17/21. I asked for a receipt, the manager Joseph kept insisting it was there, in the email. I finally had to contact the 800 phone number to resolve this issue. I will not return to that store again.

Not the best shop but for the Bay Area probably the most selection out of the few I been! If your a Medium helmet not much selection. Staff was helpful and I got 2nd most expensive helmet cause it was a med and need one now!

I walked in not knowing anything and they helped size me for all the gear I would need to start my journey.I was working with Drew and He knows what he’s talking about.My advice make sure you have a hour or so to spare as a first time buyer. Ordered items not in stock online through the store and received it in a matter of days. Great experience and they did not disappoint. Purchased my FP3 pack, 2 Schuberth helmets and my S&S 585 cam kit along with a bunch of other items. Rich and the crew are very helpful. Will shop there again.

Turned in my dirt bike tires to be changed. Dropped them off at noon on Tuesday. Person helping me said shouldn’t take no more than 24 hrs. I said ok how much? He said, well you didn’t buy it from us so it’s $50 a tire plus tubes. 150 WHAT! These aren’t car tires!!! I was in a pinch and had the tires there.***** do it! I didn’t get my tires back till closing 6pm, on Wednesday. They didn’t even start till 2pm! I want to go get them at that point and he assured me he would start at that moment. So I said fine do it. 4 hours later regardless of a call I went down there. That’s when I got the call. They’re done. I wanted to buy a dual sport jacket and a battery but decided I can’t give these Guys another dime! Over charged and held hostage!

Great apparel store if you need to wear 1500 dollars worth of armor to keep your skin where it belongs.

Amazing place for all the motorcycle needs. Tim is amazing in helping whatever you need. The entrance is lil wired, its not from the road but from the parking inside. Great collection of jackets n gloves n winter wear n everything apparel wise. They also sell motor oil, and motorcycle parts as well.

Very helpful but they didnt have anything that was needed for my bike. They did direct me to different websites where I could order the parts I need wich was nice.

Live in sj needed a tire swap just rear, asked how long it would take and couldnt really tell me. When I went in they extremely under staffed, seems to always have a huge long line. To many people with questions they only seem to ask when they are already checking out making it slower

Great customer service here. They dont keep in-stock everything that u need, but they can order it. Prices are reasonable. Return policy is great. Their knowledge in applying/ installing the stuff is some what limited though..

The staff is very helpful to find you what you need. I got a jacket and helmet there for $150 total and love them both. They were suggested by the staff too so you can see they just want to find something good for you without overselling.

Rick (or Ricky, not too sure which he prefers) is awesome! I couldnt ask for better service and help. He helped me after I had to get a tube replaced shortly after I had one installed. He provided the upmost best suggestions and the team there did as well. Casual feeling from the staff, which is what we loved since they dont pressure you into buying stuff you may or may not need. I will be bringing all my service needs and part needs back to this store in ghe future as well as referrals.

The shop has a decent selection of gear and motorcycle accessories. I went in for a bike night and the manager Shaun was super cool. I asked him if he had a chin guard for a Shoei Multitec helmet. Shaun was able to find one. When I asked him how much it was, he let me have it for free. Shaun made my day. I would definitely return and do business at this place again.

This was by far the worst Cycle Gear i have ever been to. Selection was so-so, but everything was a disheveled mess in the softgoods area with almost no sizing options -- lots of small and xxl. None of the employees acknowledged me while I was there probably 30 minutes and I was one of two customers in the store. I think they were too busy griping to the other customer about how they dont get paid enough... Im the manager and I only make xyz

After months of putting off the inevitable tire replacement, watching as my tread grew thinner and thinner, eventually vanishing entirely in a smooth stripe of rubber which ringed the entire circumference of my rear tire, I eventually began the long and arduous process of locating a tire for a 1983 Honda Nighthawk. I called every motorcycle shop in the immediate vicinity of Berkeley, but was rebuffed at every attempt. Either they had never heard of tires, or they could order it in and it would be a few days, or they had just sold it to their friend Johnny yesterday and wouldn’t have another until Tuesday next week. Finally, one customer service agent asked me, “Have you tried Cycle Gear in Hayward? I bet you anything they’d have it.” Immediately, I called Cycle Gear, and was greeted by the generic motorcycle nerd type of guy who are known to dwell behind the counter of motorcycle stores, serving up motorcycle paraphernalia and answering motorcycle questions. An instant yes, they had the tire, and not only that but it was cheaper than other quotes I’d been given! I rode the miles to Hayward, and shot the breeze with said motorcycle enthusiast while he mounted and balanced a shiny new tire onto my alloy wheel. Then I was off, new tread for the miles to come, and time to plan my next adventure.
