I have visited the Hendersonville location several times during the last 6 weeks. I needed information for my father in regards to renting a hospital bed and wheelchair. I spoke with the two people in customer service, Amy and Amber, who explained what I needed to do for insurance to cover these items. I spoke with Kim in billing and she explained what insurance would cover and what my dad’s out of pocket would be. I was treated with sincere kindness. I’m so thankful I have a compassionate company that will be helping my father. This company is amazing!!
I’ve worked w this company for over 20 years as a hospital case manager a daughter of sick parent. I would always call Karen a she would take care of all my needs from diabetic shoes to lift chairs a anything between. Great service !
I have been using services at this medical equipment company for years. If they dont have what I need, it is ordered for me. The employees are always so helpful!
The staff there at Ed Medical are always friendly and very professional. Amy is very helpful and makes sure that our patients get the DME that they need.
I was in Ed Medical this past week and they are remodeling I thought the showroom was good but now its going to be Great! Looking forward to going back after finished as my Mom is in need of support stocking.
Ed Medical staff is always helpful and nice. great prices great service and friendly staff
Great company. Friendly, professional staff. Will visit again
Needed a wheelchair. Legs fell apart in two weeks. To get them replaced I had to pay $75 they said I had vandalized the chair. Also, large sign on door said you MUST wear mask to enter, NO PERSONNEL in store wore a mask.I needed a copy of a receipt to get reimbursement from insurance for wheelchair legs. They charged me 55 cents for the stamp.Staff is cold and not friendly. Will notify doctor not to recommend this facility and recommend you shop elsewhere.
Great local company with amazing customer service!
I rented a wheelchair and their custimer service was amazing. They came out and helped me get it in the car. Had a issue with misunderstanding my contract and they took care of it and fixed my issue. Will definetly use them again.
First and last contact was Kim. Grumpy ol thang probably dealin with a low twinkie count today.
Great atmosphere, great experience, great people!
This is a great group of people who love their community. I highly recommend seeing them for your mobility needs. Their repair man is wonderful.
I was recommended to Ed Medical supply company from Wound Care in Hendersonville as I needed a knee scooter. First of all, I take mask wearing very seriously and none of the employees had them on. None. They didn’t have the small scooter that we needed so she upgraded to the all terrain. I asked if we could get the all terrain at small scooter price and she checked and said no. Also, they don’t take United Healthcare. I know you’re wondering why I didn’t just walk back out. I’m asking myself that same question. Don’t recommend.
Such an excellent company! I have worked with Rosie and Karen for almost 9 years -- no one better! They take such great care of people -- especially our local seniors! Both my thumbs on this one!
Was recommended to this place by Hendersonville Wound Care. Only had one knee scooter in stock. Took an extremely long time to complete the rental - computer problems. My main complaint was the whole staff in the place didn’t wear masks. My wife and I are very high risk for Covid and I can’t understand why in a medical setting they don’t see the need to protect others and usually the older community. Unbelievable! If I need to, I’ll find another supplier next time.
Extremely rude. They didnt pay any attention to me until I started touching things. Treated me as I was less than a person. Definitely will never go back.
Even though Hendersonville is not necessarily convenient for me, I use Ed Medical. They have always been very courteous and had what we needed.I also formerly worked for a PT co and would refer our patients there for supplies.
Good god wonders y this place have a bad rating racist too very sham
Im impressed with this companys customer service. I called in the a.m. for a hospital bed, by that evening it was delivered. In addition, the driver called me to confirm we would be ready for the delivery. The rates are reasonable as well. Thank you, Ed Medical.
This company provides very poor customer service and does not communicate well with the customer. It took almost 7 months months to get a custom wheelchair with this company. I will never use Eds medical again and I would definitely not recommend them to others.
Awesome experience! Looking for a closer DME than Nashville. So on a lark I stepped n2 Ed Medical and the staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. Barbara Duke was sweet and caring as my own family. I will give all my business to Ed Medical. Thank u for a painless and wonderful experience!
If you use a manual chair for mobility this is NOT the place. People are corteous enough however the level of service that an independent manual chair user needs was not there. Also, after paying up front for upgrades that were possibly not covered by insurance, we were never reimbursed after the insurance payed out to EdMedical. We watched all the statements of payment and could see that Ed Medical was paid for things we fronted. When it was all said and done we had to pursue them to get that money back. Left a sketchy taste in my mouth.
Im not impressed with this companys customer service. We previously did business with Numotion and they were a lot better. Within having this chair through Ed Medical for 2 months, we are looking at it being fixed for the second time. I have had to call 3 times in a week and a half because no one has called back like they said they would. My 3rd time calling was today and I talked to Chelsey. Shes finally getting someone to come out and look at the wheelchair. These people need to work on their customer service.
Worked with Chancey over at Ed Medical and she was great! I Highly recommend Ed Medical, they are fair, honest people.
My grandfather rented a wheel chair thru Ed Medical a few days before he went into home hospice care. We DID NOT know that hospice needed to order a new wheelchair because his insurance would not cover it once he went into hospice!! How were we supposed to know? Ed Medical could have called or sent out a letter but they didnt. The only way we found out is when they sent a driver to come and get the wheelchair. I called and spoke to someone in billing. I was told that even though we had no way of knowing we would still be responsible for 1 month of wheelchair rent!!! $96!!! I would never ever do business with this company ever again!!!
After several years of getting my annual CPAP sleep report for my DOT physical from ED MEDICAL for free, they charged me $12.00 for it. I bought my machine from them, ED MEDICAL, and paid almost $900.00 for it.All they had to do was to spend 30 seconds to bring my report up on their computer and push the PRINT key. $5.00 for their trouble, sure, Id be ok with that, but charging $12.00 when theyve charged me nothing for the past few years? Nope, Im done with them. I will need a new machine in 2019, but Im done with them.
The staff was kind, caring and helpful, they stayed past closing time to help us. Great service...
Such poor service. No education in a complicated device. Poor service. Rude
They gave me the wrong supplies again! They don’t fit my nebulizer.
Run dont walk away from this place. I was recently diagnosed with sleep apnea. Unfortunately the only DME in my are that accepted my Blue Cross Insurance was Ed Medical. My doctor told me that he would send my prescription to the DME with instructions for same day set up. I called the same day and Barbara went over my prescription telling me the type of machine my doctor prescribed and all the costs. However, she also told me that I had to wait two weeks for my insurance to approve the supplies. After 4 more days of not sleeping I finally started making calls. Finally Barbara told me that I could get my machine as long as I signed an agreement to pay insurance didnt pay. I went in the next day to get fitted for a mask. On this visit Sandy fitted me for the mask and explained how to use the machine. When I asked her if the machine had a modem she told me no. She said my doctor didnt prescribe one and that my insurance didnt cover it because they are very expensive. I went home with the CPAP and supplies. After four days of torturous sleep I finally contacted my doctor to tell him the trouble I was having. He told me that I was having trouble because the DME did NOT give me the machine he prescribed and that he did prescribe a modem so he can go in an adjust my treatment without me having to have an office visit every week. He called Ed Medical immediately and five minutes later Barbara called for me to arrange picking up the equipment the next day. They also gave me a cheap chin strap instead of the one ordered and told me thats all they had. I found it on amazon for $6. It was falling apart within the first week and didnt work. I was struggling to sleep because they gave me crappy supplies. I returned it and asked for a different one. They handed me one and said this is what your insurance pays for. Now they arent the only DME in the Nashville area that accepts the Blue Cross Blue Shield E plan, Williams Medical also does. I dont really know where in the hell these people get off. They are not doctors and they have no right to make decisions regarding with my health care, sell me cheap equipment and bill my insurance for the expensive stuff. They substituted a cheaper machine and supplies and and still billed the same hcpcs codes to the insurance to receive the maximum benefit. BEWARE!
Do NOT take your power chair here for repair. I wish we hadnt. They did not do what we asked & we are $400+ IN THE WHOLE! I really dont think they know what to do. Very disappointed...
Coming in to see if i can get a hand break replaced on my wheelchair..
