I have never left a one star review until today. I found a Toyota vehicle sold on Offer Up. Allegedly, the Toyota vehicle was being sold by a wife of a husband; the husband’s name was Rodolfo. The car was advertised as a private sale. I asked for the address to see the car, and it turns out Rodolfo was actually a car mechanic selling the car. Allegedly, the Toyota was the car Rodolfo used to get to his mechanic shop and back.Upon showing up to see the car, I met with Rodolfo. As I checked the car over, he hovered over me, pointing out superficial features such as the seat upholstery or paint condition. When I noticed that the front bumper had been re-painted, he mentioned that his wife had parked incorrectly and pulled the fender out in doing so. At first, I thought this seemed reasonable, but combined with the initial bait-and-switch mentioned above, that was two red flags already.Under guidance of my dad, I hired and paid a mobile mechanic to check the vehicle more thoroughly on my behalf. Rodolfo did not allow me to drive the vehicle beyond a few minutes or at highway speeds, despite the vehicle being insured within a period of 30 days, and having shop insurance. Red flag #3.When the mobile mechanic checked the car, Rodolfo also hovered over him, pointing out the finish on the drive shaft rather than allowing the hired mechanic to do his job. Despite this, my mechanic did his job thoroughly and found that the front-end had actually been in a small collision, possibly two—not that the fender had been damaged in a parking incident. Strike #4.The final straw was when—after leaving Rodolfo’s shop to drive my mobile mechanic to his shop—Rodolfo sold the car to another customer. Despite knowing I was returning within a few minutes to an hour to discuss price, he did not communicate about the other seller with me, even knowing I had already paid the third-party mechanic.When I pointed out that that lack of communication was unprofessional and possibly even unethical, Rodolfo acted even more unprofessional, directly insulting me. He wrote:“Siento mucho que estés molesto, pero yo estoy vendiendo un carro, no soy escuela de mecanica ni mucho meno escuela de manejo, puedes poner el comentario que mas le guste a ustedes en la pagina que mas se sienta bien, eso a mi no me perjudica en nada el valor de un ser humano no va en los comentarios, sino en la seriedad de de su palabra, que eso le falta a usted como persona y comprador de carro, gracias”Roughly this translates to:“I’m sorry you’re upset, but I am selling a car, and I am not a mechanic school or a driving school. You can leave whatever review, but the value of a human is not determined by reviews, but by their word, which you lack as a person and car buyer, thanks.”In other words, by hiring a mechanic and asking to drive a car I’m about to spend thousands of dollars on for longer than five minutes or at highway speeds, I lack value as a person. Not only is bringing a mechanic and test driving a car for longer than 5 minutes and at high way speeds normal due diligence, but to be insulted for doing them by Rodolfo—a mechanic himself—may very well be a statement of the kind of mechanic shop he may be running: one that is not honest, nor should be patronized.Is it possible this car was not sold by Rodolfo’s wife, but just passed off that way? Yes. Is it likely that the front end “parking crash” was actually a front-end collision that was not mentioned to his insurance? Yes. Is it unscrupulous to sell a car without a thorough test-drive and by getting annoyed with a check-out mechanic? Definitely. Is it unprofessional or unethical to sell a car immediately after a customer paid a third-party mechanic to review a car and was returning shortly? Absolutely.I wholeheartedly do not recommend Rodolfo or his mechanic shop after this experience. The entire experience was riddled with an air of dubiousness, rudeness, and ultimately, personal insults to me, a customer. In retrospect, the lesson is to walk away sooner.Go elsewhere.DavidMiami, FL

Mr. Piñeiro intentionally refused to assist me in repairing my car; in fact, he checked the problem himself and simply told me to get a second opinion. It is unfortunate that he only dedicates himself to changing oil and refuses to provide the assistance that is expected of him. I WILL NEVER COME BACK THERE AND HE KNOWS IT!

Sera muy dificil encontrar un taller donde su propietario sea tan honesto y trabaje con tanta seriedad como el de Pineiro auto care. Yo recomiendo que cuando necesite darle servicio a su vehiculo, primero haga el diagnostico alli para que tenga la seguridad sobre que es lo que realmente necesita su vehiculo. Profesionales, honestos y un taller con una impecable limpieza. Que mas podemos pedir?
