Really nice place. Employees were very helpful. Plenty to choose from for all your crafting needs. They do picture framing as well. Love coming here. Highly recommend this place if you need craft supplies.

Went in today for 2x 1/2 yards of fabric! They do have fabric but not a lot to choose from! I did find what I needed but had to buy an extra yard of it! The lady that helped me was very personable and helpful! I gave 4 stars because selection was small! Michaels is still better than other craft stores for the prices

Pretty well stocked, folks are nice, everything seems to be easy to find. Employees dont necessarily seek you out to ask if you need anything but thats not an issue in my opinion. Like it here!

I get that everyone is short staffed right now, but an online in store pick up order shouldn’t take all day when it’s two measly items. I could understand if I had placed a huge order. Finally had to cancel and just buy elsewhere. This is the 3rd time in last 3 or months this has happened. Guess I’ll just stick to shipping or buy elsewhere locally. I really miss A.C Moore. They were so much better.

Always love coming here to find various crafts I can start and never finish! A great variety of supplies and tools for all your crafting needs! Need fabric to repair the couch that your cats love to scratch up? They got it! Need glue and paint to repair that weird purple vase your mother in law bought you that your kid smashed and your wife is super upset but youre secretly glad? They got it! What about diorama supplies so you can rush to build a school project for your kid that he waited till the morning before the due date to tell you? They got it!

A crafters paradise for sure. Every kind of craft item and accessory you could ever hope to want or use. So much to see and I find new skills I want to learn on every tri. Friendly and helpful staff that always is willing to answer questions. Worth the trip to find new ways to be creative.

I did a buy online pick up in store order. I ordered a cup for a graduate and when I looked at it, it was cracked all throughout the inner plastic. It would be wise for employees to quickly glance at items before just grabbing them and throwing it in the bag. Now I have to return it, and I will pass on getting another because of this. customers avoid buy online pick up in store, just buy it in store so you can ensure it is not damaged.Disappointing!

Its ok. I had a hard time trying to find the cake supplies. No sign and could not find anyone to help me. Had to ask a passing customer. Then I was disappointed to see that this section of the store had a scanty amount of supplies. What a shame.

I am the bulletin board decorator for my work and came to Michaels looking for inspiration for the boards. What a great store for ideas! I love how the store had all their materials sectionalized according to season. I would definitely recommend Michaels for their quality crafting materials and unique ideas. I made these tissue paper flowers for the Spring birthday board and got so many compliments!

Seemingly well stocked and organized. Its one of our favorite places for arts and crafts, among other projects.

So I came in to get a custom frame Created. Sarah in the frame department helped me through the entire process. She was polite, friendly and knowledgeable. We had some issues on the order fulfillment on the third party side. But Amy and Jacob the store manager helped through the mess up. They were very committed to making things right even though it was not their fault. This type of customer service is hard to find in this world. I’m glad it exists right here in Hickory. The final product came out flawless. As it’s a wedding gift to my wife to be. I’m really happy and highly recommend the custom framing department. Make sure to ask for Sarah!

The man-eating plants were funny looking and I loved it. A little pricey at $49.99 a pop, but still cool. I like the deals Michaels has, but I would love to see more things cross-stitching things. Its hard to find cross- stitching patterns anywhere anymore. Still a good place to shop.

This place is a home decor dream. I had no idea that it would be as awesome as it was. The store was well stocked, clean, easy to navigate and find what you need and the staff was very friendly. I needed cotton stems to complete a project and Michaels was the only place I could find them in stock. I got to the store and went to the aisle listed on the site (nice touch) and couldnt find them. An employee went straight to the back and brought them out to me.

My experience was ok. I went to get a picture frame and, I was able to get help figuring out the picture frame size I need. The check out line went pretty fast.

The sales were rung up correctly. But they had short sleeves in the long sleeve box of t-shirts disappointing people wanting to tie-dye. I will shop again for the patient cashier service.

She takes such an extra special approach to designing and implementing ideas that give it a personal touch often lacking at chain stores like this. This is value framing, discount implies its cheap. And with Amy looking after your piece, its more than a value. Thanks so much and after the couple thousand dollars worth of framing youve already done we look forward to getting much much more done by her. True professional, 5 stars all day long.

December 10th and their store still has a lot of Christmas decorations. Store is organized and clean.

Michaels is a great store but the staff lie. they say online that they will take coupons from competitors. well I asked for that and she said yes at first and when I was going to give it to her then she changed her mind to no. that they just stopped doing that which I thought was very rude and also I had a coupon code it didnt have the barcode but it had the letter code and she would not accept that even though it was an acceptable coupon. I was very disappointed in that I probably will not ever go back I will go to Hobby Lobby

It has lots to offer but didnt particularly have what I needed when I went shopping recently. But I really like what theyve done with the place! Its gotten a lot more organized, fancy and much more cozy than way back when I used to visit for the occasional supplies. Definitely recommend it for a quick art and crafts run.

Wide selection of art/craft supplies and a friendly, helpful staff. If you go on their website or app, they have coupons (usually 40% off an item) that you can scan directly from your phone.

The framing department is fantastic. We have had several things framed at this store and they always look amazing. I have even taken framed items here that were framed somewhere else just to be brought up to the same quality.

Nice store. Great selection of crafting products. Unfortunately, the sales people do not know what is in the store. I was looking for an item, which they said they did not have. After walking around for 20 minutes I found it myself.

Michaels has good quality products at reasonable prices and a lot of specials buys or clearance items. This happens especially just after a holiday or the end of a season when many items are drastically reduced.Staff is very helpful. At peak shopping times it can be a challenge to find a staff person who isnt already helping a customer. If you can be a little patient someone will help as soon as is humanly possible.Michaels also has an excellent website.Enjoy your first trip there.

They didnt have a lot of the things I was looking for. They didnt have craft acorns or pine cones. The embellishment section didnt have a good selection. The prices were high compared to other craft stores.

Its more of a general craft store rather than having any of the harder to find elements of whatever art you want to make. Having said that, it does have the largest selection of candle scents in town l.
