Best Ace around! Jim was super helpful. The had the Weber E6 although the Weber site did not!Plus they have everything from hard to find lights to bird feed and feeders for a nice price.Almost forgot, they have lots of cooking fuel, including every smoking chip you can think of for a reasonable price.

Really nice people and great service. If all you care about is getting the lowest price, by all means stick with the big box stores but dont be surprised when you get home and realize you dont have everything you need for your project. Thats not going to happen if you take the time to ask Mutuals knowledgeable staff for suggestions.Or, if you buy a lawnmower there (like I did), you will have the help of two guys bringing it out to your car to help you load it in; or provide delivery if needed.Besides the great service, its kind of fun just to walk around and be in awe of the vast selection of stuff they carry here. Its guaranteed youll find something you need while youre browsing.I love supporting a local store and spending money in the town where I live as opposed to the big boxes. Great job, Mutual!

Loved this place. Great experience. Had to pay $5 more per propane bottle for a refill. But the staff were so helpful, and nice. Helped load the car. Ill happily 😊 pay the extra $5 for the professionalism. They were even sweet to my daughter. 5 🌟 treatment.

No need to travel to the huge box stores when you can come to your local Mutual Ace Hardware store and find a wide variety of pretty much everything you need for DIYers at reasonable prices. Not a DIYer but want to fix something and not sure what to do, this place has plenty of helpful associates to answer your questions and lead you to the right item you may need. This establishment also has a rental area of tools and equipment to help get the job done right.

I just returned from a very disappointing experience at Mutual Ace in Highland Park, IL. Will not honor their own Ace product warranty.A few years ago, I bought an Ace Flexogen 100ft hose (Item #72054) at this Ace location. From day one, it leaked. Thinking it was the sprayer, I just let the problem linger. However, after buying 2 new nozzles this spring, I realized it was the hose.Due to the original leaking, I kept the warranty card and brought it into the store. The warranty clearly states The Ace Promise. If this Ace product, when used for its intended purpose, fails to give you complete satisfaction, return the item to the Ace Hardware store where you purchased for free replacement of the same or similar item.Maria, at Customer Service told me we really dont follow the warranty and had to call Steve the manager. Steve would only allow me a $29.99 credit or nothing. I could not find a new 100 ft. hose in stock, but settled on the smaller Ace SmartFLO 75ft hose, which I was charged $39.99 for.So instead of a free replacement of a same or similar item, I had to pay an extra $10 for a shorter hose!Like many, I have been trying to support local stores in the midst of the pandemic. However, after this encounter, why would I go back to any Ace store, if the local store can simply void the warranty on a whim?

Went in looking for a simple pair of cheap scissors. Cheapest I could find was $18 and no team member to confirm or deny this. Place is a joke.

Dont buy trees from this store, they wont deliver them for you and so you have to find your own delivery service to pick them up for you. When I did, Ace gave them the wrong trees to deliver. When I called to tell them, they blamed my wife for choosing the wrong tree! Would NOT help me get the right tree delivered even though I HAVE A RECEIPT with the correct tree species on it, how could we have chosen incorrectly when its on the receipt and we pointed to the precise trees we wanted?? The most unprofessional customer experience Ive ever had, they couldnt just say, oops, our bad, instead Ive spent $550 on trees from them, they then called us liars and gave us NO options on how to rectify/resolve situation. I understand were in challenging times and they are understaffed, but its no excuse for mean and unprofessional behavior that is NOT customer oriented at all. Now I need to go figure out what to do with 400lbs of incorrect trees on my lawn that ace refuses to pickup/replace even though the trees species are NOT what is on my receipt. Insane!! Ive spent 1000s at this location over the last 5 years as I live very close in HP, never has the experience been remotely this bad but they are really struggling right now. Tried being empathetic (I purchased on the 31st and waited until 8th to get the wrong trees delivered). So, next time and all the time from now on, Pasquesi 100% over these people who obviously could care less about me. Worth the increase in price to not be called a liar

I love Ace, and this is why.... they are a hardware store. Not a carpet store, appliance store, HVAC supplier and service, plumbing supplier and service, solar system supplier and service or a hot dog stand among many other things. The best part is when I walk up to the counter to purchase my products, there is a person at the register to greet me. It’s not about the money, it’s about social interaction. A massive thank you to Ace Hardware.

Saddest, most unkempt garden center. I like the store but the garden center is awful - plants thrown around, on a pile in the corner in the mud, still blooming, still with $18 prince tag on it. The impression I get when I go in is like stumbling onto an abandoned garden center- unkempt, abandoned, plants broken growing entangled together. About 20% of it on the side and had been for a while, as the plant is trying to grow upright on the right angle from the pot...nevermind that they should have been pruned or cared about...Not to mention everything still carries super high price tag - we are not talking about a heavily discounted section here, just not cared about. Two thumbs down.

Pretty much any hand tool you can imagine, good plumbing selection. Ive been going there on and off for about 25 years, and its consistently well stocked with very reasonable prices.

Everyone is knowledgeable and helpful. This Ace store has just about everything you could expect to find at a large big box hardware store. Staff is capable of helping find a solution to your problem or in lending advice on your weekend project. Expansive power tool rental selection as well as some smaller excavation equipment. Ive been a satisfied customer for over 15 years.

Bad customer service. They wont honor coupons in their own ad flyer. Cashier messed up and had to re-scan everything. Complained to management months ago but no improvement..I called to order a specific paint and they only said we dont carry that and so they dont care to help you.Tools rentals actually have great customer service. I wont buy from this store but rentals are good where those employees seem accommodating.

This is everything a local hardware store should be. Full range of hardware and tools, household products, tool rental, garden shop, and limited landscape stone materials. This is my go-to store for friendly service and creative solutions when I have a one-off hardware related problem.

I started to do projects around the house. In the beginning, I started to finding out how to do things online. I would do my research, buy my needed materials, and be on my way. It was not until I rented equipment from their rental service (Mutual Rentals), that I realized I might need better advice. Clicking around the internet can only get so far. I am glad I did.Now, when I start my projects, I make sure to ask a Mutual Ace Hardware employee for help. I can get their trusted advice and make sure that I am purchasing the right product. I know that after talking with the employees there, I personally have changed many project plans for the better.

Needed a new handle for the toilet. After 3 trips I got one that works. Who knew there could be so many possibilities.

The two girls that work up at the cashier area are awesome I think the one girls name is Brenda and the other one is Shantae. Every time I come in there they are so friendly so nice and so helpful. John is another big help. Whenever you walk in he always ask you if you need help and hes always willing to walk you to every aisle until you get exactly what you need. The reason I only gave it three out of five stars is because despite all this nice help the manager of the store didnt make me feel so warm and fuzzy. There were items that were listed at a certain price 1999. Although the sign said in small print sale ends the 18th which was yesterday they were not willing to honor the price even though its their responsibility to take the sale price tags down. Had I come in the store at 9 or 10 in the morning and they hadnt gotten a chance to take the signs down I would have understood but considering its almost 2 in the afternoon the store had ample time to take down any old and expired sale tags. I would have thought that to make the customer happy you would have just sold the garage remotes at the price that it was listed instead of saying Im sorry that adds expired yesterday theres nothing I can do. Not good customer service because had I gone to Home Depot or Menards in the same thing would have happened I would have got it for whatever the price that was listed on the tag.

The plants we got here were infested with spider mites that wiped out the plants on our patio. They also killed a fig tree that was a cutting of my fathers tree from back east. I wasnt happy.

They often do not carry what you need.Cashier mistakenly voided my $200+ purchase and then made me wait while she checked out the person in line behind me before re-ringing up all my purchases. Sour attitude from two cashiers.Tool rental has better customer service - the only reason to go to this store.
