I just moved into the neighborhood and needed something so I went to the Ace here in Highlands Ranch, Co. I was appalled at the rudeness that came here. I was followed but several members of the staff the entire time. They Would pass by my isle every 60 seconds no matter which Isle I was in. They same guy....They did this as if I was going to be stealing stuff from them. I cant even imagine why they would even think that. They even stopped in the aisle playing off that they were working, while actually doing nothing. Just standing there and looking over at me. Over and over down every single aisle as I was seeing what this location had in stock. I ended up just getting the bare minimum I needed and decided to go get my bathroom fixtures elsewhere. Why spend money at a store that treats their new customer in a disgusting manner. The Helpful Hardware Folks they were not. They didnt even ask if I needed help finding anything. I highly doubt Ill return to this location because of the disrespect and offensive nature being shown at this is store. Ive been a long time customer and was thrilled to be living close to an Ace Hardware again, guess my $600-$800 a week spending will go to Home Depot. Talk about a rude welcome to the neighborhood.

Gorgeous Ace Hardware location. The store is the largest Ace that I have been to. It is very clean. They have everything that any Ace Hardware would have. The staff is very friendly and knows where things are. Should you need a key cut, this is the location to do that. They dont use the digital cutters that wont cut all keys. This place will cut all keys.

Im a repeat Ace Hardware customer and love the convenience of being able to run into Ace and grab home repair items quick and easy. Its much easier than running into the mammoth Home Depot & Lowes stores, where it takes longer just to find what Im looking for and for people to help.That said, this past weekend, I went into the Ace Hardware I normally frequent at 9579 S University Blvd, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126 to pick up some lawn care supplies and I saw mice scurrying down the aisle in front of me while I was selecting my items.Sadly, this isnt the first time Ive seen mice at this location, and while I was in line waiting to purchase my items, other customers were commenting they had seen the mice as well. I mentioned seeing the mice to the cashier who rang me up, who seemed embarrassed, and said they would notify management.Im posting because I like shopping at this Ace store, the cashiers/floor staff are always friendly and knowledgeable, and again, its much more convenient than going to a big box hardware store. But seeing rodents roaming around the store floor is unacceptable for both customers and the employees of the store and I believe a health code violation.I hope this location resolves the issue or Ill be forced to shop elsewhere.

Staff were nice. But, prices are not competitive and they dont offer a military discount like Home Depot and Lowes. Was told owner donates a lot of money to veterans so doesnt offer a discount. Fine, but why do you charge 20% or more than the big box stores?

I love this Ace. The staff is friendly and willing to help when you have questions. The choices of plants are much better for native plants to Colorado. (They still have non-native plants) They have a very cute section to buy unique items. It is a great place to buy cute gifts.

Huge store. Clean and orderly aisles, which are marked overhead at the end of each row so its easy to find what you want. Ace usually has stuff big hardware stores wont carry, so if you have a hard to find item, look there. Staff there are really helpful and friendly.

Advertise klein tools, then have minimal at best to choose from. Fail to honor manufacturers warranty. Home depot has a swap now program, so home depot only from here on out

I wish I could win the lottery and I just put up an home improvement Facility maybe adjacent to them? Because this place is ballin in sales, it busy Everytime I come here. Services are good and product availability also very well, what about pricing? I rather not speak on this as you all have known and willing and doesnt matter to the price tag, its what I mean above saying that I wish I could win the lottery!

Best hardware store in the area! Aside from the stuff youd expect at an Ace they also have a great variety of barbecue sauce, rubs, and hot sauces. I go here regularly to fill my propane bottles, which I prefer over the exchange (which is also an option here). The best thing about this Ace, however, is the friendly and helpful employees!

I been in the store 2 times now and both times were a disaster. There are so many associates, but no one wants to help. I did an online order that I was to pickup at this location. There are no signs stating you need to pick it up in the back service area. So you wait in line at the front to be told you need to go to the back. Then you wait in line there and they couldn’t figure out where my item was or how to check me out. When they finally found it, they didn’t even ask for ID or my confirmation email. I didn’t sign for it or anything. Very strange. When I wanted to rerun the item, same disaster. No one knew how to return an online order. It took me about 20-30 mins waiting in multiple lines and with multiple associates to get helped. The 2 guys that finally returned my item, didn’t know how to and no one working with them could help them either, so they guessed. While I appreciate them at least trying to help me, I hope it was correct!! Save your time and hassle and try a different Ace!!

Very clean, staff is incredibly helpful and friendly!! We have never had such wonderful customer service from calling to check on product to coming into store to purchase!! I cant say enough about the staff every associate went above and beyond looking for a certain heater (that was sold out in other box stores), looking in overstock and in back room of store and prevailing in the end with the perfect heater!!! Also very interesting stock of bird feeders Ive never seen before. Left the store feeling accomplished as the three other stores we visited almost made us feel like giving up. Thank you!!!! Will be returning to this beautiful, well organized big store!!

This is the best Ace I have ever been in. The have a ton of outdoor furniture and one of the best BBQ sections I have ever seen. A pretty extensive flower section as well.

Very large store with a large garden center. Prices are higher than the big box stores, but at least they have the helpful hardware folks to help you find things. We always wait to use a coupon to buy most items. They occasionally offer a 50 percent off coupon for a single item under $30. The parking lot is always very busy and can be hard to get out of if you park right in front of the store. Also, they sell propane if you need to have your BBQ propane tank refilled.

Bought a Weber grill, service/assembly/delivery all top notch: Craig coordinated assembly & delivery; Craig was exceptional: at the delivery he fully explained the grill, plus things to monitor. At the store dealt with Wendy, great service and delivery set-up ... an exceptional experience.

Incapable of processing online orders correctly. Instead of trying to make it right, they accuse the customer of doing something wrong. Jim, the store manager, is incredibly rude and unhelpful. Will not be shopping here ever again.

Items Expensive, but did buy outdoors set for reasonable price. Very helpful sales clerk. Like the ability they have to fill propane tanks on the spot but do not know the cost.

Do you want customer service like it use to be? This is the best place to get that odd item. They seem to have it all.

Pretty helpful staff. Great bbq dept. Fun house and gifts section. Good small parts. Good garden dept, tools, etc. Expect, however, to pay more than the big box stores.

Absolute best hardware store. I brought in a headrest from my dental chair. It is a discontinued part that I can no longer replace through my supplier. A very kind (and inventive!) gentleman repaired the stripped bolt and found a work-around solution to fix the headrest, keeping my patients comfortable in the chair. Go to Ace where they take care of their customers!!!

I cant justify the higher price to shop at this Ace anymore. The check-out lines are always long and I can rarely find experienced help. If Im paying more for service Im not shopping here. Might as well go to the big box and save money and time.

Totally awesome for PROPANE refills! Filled up our tanks today for about $14 check. Much cheaper than a $20 tank swap at competitors.

So I go to purchase a staple gun and a handful of items in order to DIY convert what was once a bedroom into a home office. Regardless of how random and/or ignorant my inquiries were the floor associates were extremely helpful.It wasn’t until checkout that I encountered probably the most disrespectful, disinterested in performing his job, employee than I’ve had the displeasure of dealing with in a very long time.Now I try very hard to be understanding that we never know what other people may be going through, William couldn’t possibly know that I’d just buried my youngest son in March, or that the Thursday prior I had to make the decision to extubate my sister as her body had given up the battle with Covid-19. However, while consciously taking all of that into account the eye-rolling, disrespectful tone and dismissive attitude provoked this rating and review.

This Ace is cool man. It is smaller so you dont have a large variety of the same tool, hardware or ... But what you do get is uniqueness as far as other merchandise (e.g. good lawn furniture, other items that entire family will like - a few toys for kids, some Bronco nic naks, jewelry,). The Coolest thing about this Ace is that it is GRILL and SMOKER Central. All types of grilling and smoking equipment to include the largest selection of spices and rubs in Highlands Ranch.

This ACE store is great for products you need but their screen department Im not happy with. We brought in a screen to be replaced. They measured it and we ordered two. We picked them up around 6 weeks later and tried to put them in but they didnt fit so we brought them right back to be adjusted. We thought it would be done in a couple of days but we again waited so we went back to see why it was taking so long. The gentlemen put our order on top. We again waited days and finally called. Finally adjusted it and we picked them up. AGAIN they didnt fit and not only that they bowed. Totally useless and we paid good money for them. Would not go back there again for screens.

So I had one of my kids buy a bag of wood pellets for the Traeger use the coupon happen to have the flavor already went to exchange it would not exchange it because a coupon was used wanted me to pay another $10 to exchange it. This is BS you buy something on a coupon and they wont exchange it. Im awards member there I am done with you is done your policies suck.

Have been a loyal Ace member (and former employee a lifetime ago) for a long time. But considering going to the big box stores. Today was the second time going to this Ace, and getting an Ace rewards member coupon, that doesn’t work. Had another discount coupon in my email, that didn’t work either. Happened at this store before. Although the kids working the register are nice, they never seem to know why and just hand the coupon back and say sorry doesn’t work. At least this time the kid read the coupon but still didn’t find a reason it didn’t work. I felt bad for the guy behind me powerlifting the gas grill so I didn’t ask for a manager, but still, figure out what’s up with the coupon thing and I’ll gladly drop more money here!

Its a good Ace location. They have activities during the summer and friendly staff.

I have always chosen to go to ACE because they have always been the friendly neighborhood hardware store and have always offered a military discount. My experience today has put a damper on this location seeing as they recently, the owner of the store, has chosen to no longer offer a military discount. The cashier was friendly and agreed that it was not a great move by the owner so that is the only reason I didnt give the store a single star. Will no longer be visiting this location.

Biggest ace in the metro area that Im aware of, this location has a good garden center.

I found the item I was looking for, but there was no price tag. There were no prices on any of the adjacent items either. I asked 3 employees if they could find me a price, but they all told me to go to the register. There were at least 5 people in both register lines. After 8+ minutes of waiting in line my item wouldnt scan at the register. After the cashier called for a price check, and we waited for another minute, I decided that it wasnt worth my time, or the people in line behind me. I left without my item. Not such a helpful hardware store.

Being a contractor of my own business i have a very dirty job, so my experiance in this ace store was not pleasant. The cashiers kept looking up and down at me because i am covered in dust, i shouldent feel judged in a hardware store where contractors very often visit, i make very good money but have a very dirty job and i dont need to feel like i need to prove anything. I dont need to be looked down by someone at the register or anyone in the store, i dont understand how someone could have an attitude with me and be extremly nice to the people next in line, people who work at these aces should understand that these stores are also visited by contractors, however store was very organized and very clean other then that very rude cashier.

Ordered a 20 Extension Ladder online for home delivery (too large for my car) from my local Ace which is exactly 1 mile away. Order confirmed with delivery date of next day. On day of delivery they ring and say they are fully booked for delivery today but I could pickup - asked them when is next delivery slot as cannot pickup and they gave me 6 days later on the next Saturday. Complained and they said all delivery slots booked ...... yeah right, 1 mile away, & 6 days for delivery 1 mile ..........Brian

I love Ace hardware, it gives me nostalgic feelings of when my dad would drag me there every weekend and trick me into thinking its awesome because of the popcorn machine.2. they do not have popcorn at this one or they did not at the times that Ive been. (Even pre covid)Lets make it clear that popcorn its not why I rated this Ace hardware two stars, the reason I rated it as such is for the following:1. The prices are obscene. Im not sure if Ace is on some type of grid pricing or franchise pricing, but the prices on the same exact items at either A) other stores or B) other Ace hardware locations, seem to be exponentially higher at this location.2. The employees have not been the most motivated or helpful. Maybe because from what Ive experienced it seems to be older teens which is great that theyre working but they have not been most motivated to help. Ive been met with a couple blank stairs to the point where I just had to keep moving on. (I will say though that there was one really helpful young man-and Im sure there are others, just not on the occassions Ive gone) Some adultier adults could help during those shifts.Bonus tho. This Ace hardware has a ton of stuff in it like a TON of stuff I havent seen it at other Ace hardware or in general. So if you are in need of an Ace hardware with everything and you have money to burn this is the place to go.In the end, two stars because I dont see myself going back (even if they brought back the popcorn).

This place Majority of the time they get Ridiculously busy only come when need a hard to find things because as we all have known Ace hardware kinda expensive compared to home improvement store. Workers pretty likeable. Its a Big place.

Stopped by today to purchase some garden soil and pest control. I paid for the pest control item inside and walked to the garden side to get soil and pay for it there. The cashier demanded I present the receipt for the pest control and proceeded to imply that I’m trying to steal it, even mentioned there are cameras in use. This was a very humiliating experience.I have never stolen a thing in my life and def won’t be stealing pest control stuff. Very rude cashier who also can not tell the difference between a paper and electronic coupon when presented with an email from Ace.

They don’t mind putting you on hold. I was put on hold 4 times and no one picked up after 5 minutes. Seemed like I had a simple question that never was answered.

It was clear that most of the employee efforts were spent on popping popcorn. I saw four employees and none of them asked me if I needed anything. Naturally I’m to awkward to ask them for anything so they should taken the initiative of asking me. The popcorn was very very good though.

I tried to order something on line today but had problems so I went to Highlands Ranch location where Jose (a manager) was all over it! Super nice guy and very professional. Thanks again. Rhonda B.

This is best ACE I have ever been too. The staff was super helpful. Everything was clean and well organized and they were even open early! Martin did a great job cutting two keys for me and the manager was attentive and helpful as well.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff, better selection than home depot for fasteners, plumbing repair, and other things. Some Ace branded stuff is lesser quality however.

Greeted at the door by helpful staff. They introduced me to another staff member who took me directly to the spot where my item was. Cross one item off the To Do list in extremely short order. Oh wait make that TWO items also shopping for lye soap. Ace Hardware has it!! Nice!!

Very nice store but its overpriced and you tend to get to scammed on top of that. Today, all Yeti merch was labeled as 25% off. I picked out a Yeti can holder (the shelf price was $19.99) which is available everywhere for $18.74, so great deal!! At checkout, the cashier rang it up as $18.74. I pointed out the 25% off & the shelf price of $19.99 . He said the regular price was $24.99 (humm, 25% off $24.99 = $18.74 = scam) and that someone had put them in the wrong place. There was no discussing it with him, take it or leave it was his mentality!Also, the last time I shopped there the same thing happened with a can of stainless cleaner which was labeled on the shelf at $4.99. It rang up at $6.99. So, Im done shopping there no matter how nice the store is.. that was enuf for me.UPDATE: I got a reply/apology from Ace to come in and they will make it right. NO THANKS.. Ive had one too many negative encounters with the staff at this store over the past several years which I choose not to elaborate upon. Suffice it to say that this experience was simply more of the same.

I have had to run in here twice. Once for a dead battery blocking a parking lot in our apartment complex, so the need was somewhat urgent to get the car moved. I was in and out in 5 minutes with the best jumper-cables for the best price. The second time we went in about 10 minutes to close for a stud finder and leveler and they helped us find those items along with a new electric drill to mount our TV. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff.

A great store, everything from nuts, bolts, BBQ supplies, kitchen and canning equipment. You can find individual pieces and not have to buy whole packages of hardware. All the team are extremely helpful, kind and glad you shop with them.
