Aloha Mary!You welcomed me on my first visit to this beautiful and amazing store that has a lot Hawai’i books! I entered into the store; Mary greeted me with so much ALOHA, she is humble and kind and so sweet. The Hawai’i section on front of the entrance is what caught my makas (eyes in hawaiian language) mahalo nui loa sister Mary! The whole atmosphere begins to change with the peace and love and joy all around. God bless and Aloha Mary!!♥️

AMAZING.I went there like a week ago when I was in Hawaii for a family trip.I bought 6 manga books. FOR 25 DOLLARS.LIKE WOW THATS SO CHEAP FOR MANGA.The worker there was so nice and kind!I’d definitely visit there a lot if I lived in Hawaii.Also there is a very good selection of books! 10/10

Mary is the sweetest, she helpful, and always a joy to visit and talk stories. Can fine all sorts of books great for research too.

The person I spoke with upon entering the store was a gracious helpful person. I found a book within minutes of looking. Why 4 stars? The book cost over $14.00 including tax. I felt this was a bit steep for a used book. Oh yeah; another reason: I asked about the trade program they have and she was quite specific. Book in good condition with the cover. Which I have yet the book I just bought had no cover. Odd.

Looking for books. Heres the place to get them. Many are second or third hand books but are 50% off the book price. There are new books as well. Just fun coming in to see real books instead ebooks.

I love this locally owned bookstore! Mostly used books with some new books sprinkled through various sections. From guidebooks about local animals and plants to paperback mysteries and fiction for beach reading, there is something here for everyone! Also a wonderful childrens section with a a separate area specifically for Hawaiian childrens books. I always find something interesting to read.

One of my favorite book stores in the world. Great selections in the realms of spirituality, and nature writing. The other sections Im sure are great too, I just havent checked them out yet! They also play peaceful music and are always cheerful with customers--theyve really created a great space.

This is one of my favorite book stores on the planet. I live in New Mexico. I am an artist, an oil painter. And I always find a used book or a new book here that I cant find anywhere else. New books, old books, great service, you cant go wrong at this bookstore.

Awesome selection of used books! The fantasy and SciFi section is very good and they have tons of DVDs at really low prices. This place is definitely worth checking out and the lady who runs it is really nice and helpful.

We bought some calendars, they had a interesting selection of books...

Overpriced. Unfriendly staff. Support your public library 3 blocks up the same road instead. I paid $20 for 2 books during my stay in Hilo. I read them both and attempted to sell them back in the same condition. The staff person informed me that “normally I wouldn’t pay anything for these” and offered 2 dollars for 3 books I brought in... I do not suggest wasting your time at this book store.

Quite expensive for a used book store ( like $10 for a paperback). We bought several books and tried to then sell them back a few days later after reading them and she offered us 1 dollar for each book, condisendingly saying they were in bad condition, despite them being in the same condition we bought them in.

Huge selection, great prices, and friendly employees. You dont find many book stores like this these days. It even has the smell of an old book store. My only complaint is that the hours are quite limited, but the same is true for most of the shops in this downtown area.

I was able to get lost in the incredible inventory of the shop. The owner was very welcoming and offered a low-keyed atmosphere that made me want to return again and again.
