Nice little music store and the owners were very friendly and knowledgeable. Loved their brand of Ukulele. Great clarity and sound and cool logo. Ill be looking for a baritone Ukulele.

Great time at Hawaiian Uke and Guitar! We walked in and I was asked if I play, I said yes uncle uke told me the Instruments were no use on the wall and told me to take one off the wall a great experience. Their selection was great and their service was exceptional. They have anything and everything uke they cover every price range and they have a use for every experience level.

With past musical experience and a want to know more, I recently have been wanting to work more with the deeper instruments such as the baritone ukulele and guitar. However, knowing that I didn’t have enough room to pack it, I knew that I would not be buying a guitar in store. Even so, the employees took their time explaining to me the differences and letting me touch the instruments hands-on. If you are ever in town, go here!!! It is a wonderful experience. they have the acoustic and electrical varieties of almost every ukulele and guitar.

Uncle Uke showed us some beautiful ukuleles and even gave us a sample of his own talent singing and playing on various ukuleles. He is so knowledgeable about everything in his store. If your looking for the perfect instrument, this is where you need to buy it. We’ve been in lots of ukulele stores in various places in Hawaii and Uncle Uke was by far the most knowledgeable and friendly!

This is a nice store with a knowledgeable and fun owner. Because of the prime location expect to pay retail prices. You can find cheaper prices if you shop around. I bought from him because he engaged my son and made it fun.Unfortunately I cant give 5 stars because the owner was unavailable to give lessons. He said hes too busy and looking for a teacher, so things may change. I ended up taking my kids 2 blocks away to Hilo Ukulele and Guitar. Rick there gave the kids low priced lessons and threw some discounts for merchandise.I guess if that store wasnt available, Id give this place a 5 star review. But competition does exist, which is great, so a solid 4 stars from me.

Were back in New York City now, but I love my ukelele! Hawaiian Ukelele and Guitar has an excellent selection in different price categories. Totally fantastic service, honest, generous, inspiring, fun. Uncle Euk gave our shy daughter an impromptu quick lesson that was so engaging and fun that it got our hesitant daughter playing in minutes. I never thought it could be done! Hilo is now our favorite Hawaiian town, thanks especially to this wonderful memory. Mahalo to you Uncle Euk and all! Keep spreading the good music!

Wandered in looking for an ukelele for my son and ended up staying for over an hour chatting. Uncle offered us an honest opinion on which uke to buy and gave ME an impromptu lesson. I learned more in the thirty mins with him a than Ive learned in the last few months of playing. What a gem. The store and owners. We stopped back once more before we left the island and will be back next time were here.
