This store always makes you feel right at home and welcome. The displays are beautifully arranged and almost make you not want to take the food from them, but then you realize the choices are too delicious to leave behind for someone else to snag. Always love shopping here when visiting Hilton head because the staff are always so helpful and friendly! Well ran location, extremely clean, and always put the customers first! Great job fresh market!

I have never been to Fresh Market until this trip to Hilton Head Island. Ive been coming to HHI since this was the old Piggly Wiggly market plaza. I just never gave it much thought. My aunt, who is a local here, said Fresh Market is was wonderful and I needed to go visit the store.I love quiche and know a good one when I taste one. Fresh Market has the best ready-cook fresh made quiche Ive ever had.The unique variety of grocery foods, snacks, bakery items (BEST BAKERY ON THE ISLAND!) and beverage selection is fantastic.Today, I bought their fresh-made bakery tart, chips and salsa and guacamole dip. Divine!I highly recommended it to anyone on or near the island. Worth the drive!

Has everything I want when on vacation. Good selection of wine, prepared food, and dessert. Not pleased with the lack of liquid dairy creamer or 8 oz. size of yogurt.

Shopping here is always fun. I rated the store down because several of the women behind the deli counter had their masks below their nose. These are people preparing and serving our food!

My mother drove over an hour round trip to get various treats for our Fete Nationale party today. One of the items she purchased, Escargot, she noticed smelled rancid but tried to clean them thinking it was because of how it was stored in the market. Once cooked, she noticed it still smelled and then tasted like it had gone bad. Being a true Frenchwoman, shes had plenty of snails growing up and definately knows what old snails taste like. She called up the store and was unable to reach someone from the seafood department (snails arent seafood), and was told by someone else in the available department that they would try and have them pulled. My little sister ate some of these snails before my mom did and if she gets sick Im going to be livid. Hopefully they truly will pull the batch so no one else gets sick. I would have left one star but I appreciate the stores promise to take care of the issue. I dont think Ive ever left a bad review on maps once before but this is a health issue and since its so far away its not like we can drive to check if they pulled the snails, so hence the review.On a brighter note, the pastries were all good, oh and they gave our money back👍Edit: Just tell me if they pulled the batch and Ill pull the review. I dont care to leave bad reviews I just want to make sure other people are informed on the off chance theyre still purchasable. Its a safety issue.

Super nice grocery store. They have very good products. While it looks very expensive, we were happy with their prices on a number of products. From coffee to wine, very reasonable. This store fits in very well with the Hilton Head culture. Plus they give many samples, including a cup of coffee or hot cider. How can you not like that.

I can not say enough good things about the HILTON HEAD Fresh Market. On two occasions, we got the chateaubriand for two. The first was for our anniversary. We thought that this dinner would be a great dinner to celebrate 29 years and our 1st vacation night. When we picked the dinner box up, the customer service workers were so helpful.This meal exceeded our expectations. The steaks were some of the best we have ever had. We loved the meal so much that we got another one. Again, the customer service was top notch. The lady, who was getting our meal out of the cooler recommended a $7. pinot noir to go with our dinner. It was excellent! Thank you Fresh Market for your food and service. Our only problem, is that there is not a Fresh Market in Texas. We will have to wait until next year!!

Great store! Been shopping there for years. Lately the bakery is slipping. Because I travel a lot for business I have the opportunity to visit numerous Fresh Market Stores. The consistency in quality is fantastic in every store except Hilton Head. The bakery over cooks their most popular muffin every time. I’ve mentioned it to the store manager to no avail. Looks like I’ll travel to Savannah to shop Fresh Market. What a shame.

I have shopped here for many many years. Being a foodie have always opted for Fresh Mkt vs. the big box stores for qualify food. I have noticed that the meat counter staff are not quite as helpful as theyve been in the past. The manager was very rude today when I asked for Cedar Planks to cook my $40 worth of Salmon that I purchased on, she looked at me as if I were asking for something outlandish. Come on, this is Fresh Market Gourmet not Food Lion. Ive purchased them there many times, she said they have been out for months, offered no assistance for we can order more just basically said we dont stock them anymore Seriously, again, this is an upper end grocery, even Harris Teeter carries cedar planks to cook with. This manage that I met today had zero customer service skills.

Just left FM on HHI and had an unusual experience with a female cashier and female bagger. Both have bad attitudes--shocking for Fresh Market employees. The FM cashiers in my town prefer to unload the grocery cart as they go because of limited space on counter, so I did not unload our groceries. The cashier bent down as if guarding her back to get the items on lower part of the cart. She was obviously having serious back issues and did not ask me to unload the groceries which I would have gladly done and ended up doing once I saw her body mechanics.The lady bagging the groceries was just rude. The pizza she saved for last to place in a bag and then smash down on top of the other groceries.Both of these ladies would benefit from time off or working in a different area of the store. Thank you.

I love this place. I wish there was one closet to me. The cranberry orange muffin is to die for. Whenever I am in town I go here for my muffin and my nuts. Love the selection they have. See whats left of my nuts and already one muffin gone.

Bought 3 layer piece of cake, hard as a rock. The girl behind the counter had to know this when packing that it washard. Thought the name of the store is Fresh MARKET. Should be sell everything no matter the condition. My trash had a wonderful dessert.

Probably one of the finest markets that you will walk into and Shop. Theres not an employee in there that will not help you find all of your needs and even walk to the exact location. Yes thats a big bonus for me as they take pride in where they work. The bakery is phenomenal and the butcher all of them are fabulous and truly know their meats and fish

We have gotten boneless, skinless chicken breasts from this store a few times and the quality is very high. We are wondering what days the shipments for chicken breasts come in, but when we call the store they dont answer the phone.

Rude staff the clearly didnt want to work taking their frustration out on the customer. Both the produce and bakery need re staffing.I used to prefer here over WFbut now Im in the middle with neither being quite up to par!!!

Love going to the fresh market. The selection of different food items are great. It is always fun to shop there. Some of the customers seem a little snobbish but the staff are wonderful. We will be back.

We have been weekly + customers at your Hilton Head store and purchase all our meat, fish and most of our produce there in addition to normal grocery items, everything is always fresh and well displayed. We recently purchased half and half, which we use in our tea and coffee. The expiration date is 4/18/2020. When we tried using it in our tea on 3/28, it curdled. It may be that the display case is not cold enough and the useful life was shorter than expected but being bad 3 weeks before the use by date seems unacceptable. Perhaps you could check on this situation. We still rate your store a 5 and will continue to shop there..

The Produce Manager at this store was incredibly rude to my 67 year old father, after my dad called the man out for not wearing a mask in the store and eating from the produce on display in the store while talking to customers. My father is a local resident with an autoimmune disease (high risk of COVID-19) who has been shopping at Fresh Market for quite some time. He came into the store trusting that the appropriate safety measures/procedures would be in place to mitigate risk of the virus. Instead, he came across a Produce Manager without a mask on, eating from a display, conversing with customers. When my Dad pointed this out to the man for safety reasons, the man pointed his finger in my dads face and said you arent from here are you?, as if insinuating that if my dad was a visitor (he is actually a resident of neighboring Bluffton), his concern wasnt credible. My dad would never post something like this to Google himself, so I wanted to bring attention to the matter and ask that Fresh Market look into this, give a response, and ensure the safety of their customers during COVID-19.

Went in for the $2.99 Chuck and Chick special. Cant beat the price or quality. Once you know the folks behind the counter, theyll do anything for you. I enjoy talking to them. Quick checkout too. Store very clean. Lots of temptations.

Theres a first time for everything. Not ever, until today have I had BAD food from the deli. I have always loved Fresh Market wings. Today they tasted like they were reheated a couple of times. (and I didnt reheat) them. Just b-a-d...

High quality specialty market. Great selection of fresh cut meats, fresh seafood, and prepared produce, salads, and meals. Lovely baked goods, fresh roasted coffees and nuts, and a good selection of domestic and imported wines and beers are available. Friendly, helpful staff. This is not your neighborhood grocery.

You get what you pay for! The Fresh Market has mostly premium foods. The meat department and bakery are especially good. Excellent service with a smile.There are some exceptionally good deals on their sale items. I really like their prepared food section...yummy.

We drive 50 miles, one way, to buy our meat and poultry here. Bakery and produce are wonderful too. Deli foods are some of the best weve had. We know we can count on great quality at every Fresh Market we visit in any city we find ourselves in. Did I mention the whole bean coffee and cheese selections?

I am familiar with Fresh Market as we have one at home. This one was quite different, and while it was nice, it didnt offer the same feel as others I have shopped. No overall complaints, if you want some unusual things or great grab and go lunch/dinner....this is the place

This is such a great Fresh Market. They have increased the size and remodeled since the last time I was on the island. The meat department is amazing. Everything is so fresh and they have some marinated selections that are interesting and very good. They will even special cut meat to your specification. Their dessert department is also good. Just about everything you can imagine for your sweet tooth. All staff are always so nice and helpful. I love going to this Fresh Market.

Stopped here to pick up a few items. The store is very clean, nicely laid out. Most notably, the check out process (with chip reader) was the fastest and most convenient Ive used, anywhere. Chip reader was exceptionally fast and offered the option to email my receipt rather than print on paper. Id like to see this become the norm with all merchants.

I really love their selection of produce and meats/fish. Their meal deals can also be good. Check the prices at checkout though. Several times my items have scanned for more than they were advertised on the signs throughout the store.

I would rather shop The Fresh Market on HHI than shop for clothes. There is something there for everyone be it flowers, plants, every fresh vegetable you can think of, a bakery to top all bakeries, a deli where I want to buy one of everything. Oh yes, and the best chocolate croissant Ive ever tasted. There are choice wines at varying prices. Fresh Market is an experience of the best possible kind, so go!

This IS A TRUE French Cafe!. The owner is very proud of his kitchen. My husband and I were happy to receive a personal tour of the kitchen. They truly make their pastries, breads and quiches from scratch. Great Coffee too.. This is a little gem of Hilton Heas Island previously known only to the locals.

Great store with quality protein and produce. Service can be a little slow behind the meat counter but usually worth the wait. Nice selection of fresh flowers.

I think its the best all around market on Hilton Head. Wish there was on in Bluffton. For sure, the best meat and fish compared to any of the other markets. Always immaculate and some food offerings not found in other supermarkets. Very good brands offered in all departments. Its #1 for our family.

Sushi Review - Really like this Fresh Market shop and purchase Sushi here all the time for lunch. I like buying Sushi here because it always taste fresh, not old. Well...today was another story - I purchased a Spicy Shrimp Roll w/Brown Rice and the rice tasted like it was a day or two old, and the cucumber that was in the roll tasted old and slimy, and the cucumber pieces were far to BIG for the roll. I felt like I was eating a cucumber slimy salad, rather than a fresh spicy shrimp sushi roll. Very unfortunate, but I will probably not be buying sushi from here again.

Today when I went a young man named Christian was working at the deli counter. He was SO polite, prompt and worked at a fast pace. He deserves a pat on the back.And your Farro salad is the best Ive ever had and of course the rotisserie chicken salad!

There is wide variety of food. Large selection of different types of meats. I am sure you will find what youre looking for. Deli, bakery, fresh flowers for that special someone.prices$$. Wines beers, of wide variety. Staff not that friendly. Dont ask you if you finding everything. Only the meat guy did.

Good for quick shopping trip with lots of healthy options. A lot of other stores in this plaza as well. Easy parking and not hectic. They have a good butcher shop and prepared foods as well.

If you want high end or different items this is the place to go. They are a smaller niche market which is nice after the mega supermarkets which take forever to get through.

We go to Fresh Market at home, but we love it even more when travelling and staying at a resort. We use their deli counter and kabobs, add fresh fruit and vegetables. This gives healthy meals you can prepare, even with just a microwave.

The Fresh Market has the freshest,of the fresh in fruit and vegetables. The meat is very fresh also. Everything here including the baked goods is very fresh. Store is super clean.
