I have been trying to get to a Whole foods for awhile now!! I have none in my area, but while on vacation I stopped in....so glad I did!!! Who needs souvenirs I got my hands on Japanese Sweet Potatoes what more could you ask for. If I had more time and trunk space I would have been looking for more vegan finds!! Vegan scones, not in the pictures because I ate them all (sorry not sorry π π) But I havent had a croissant in 2 years, so Im beyond extactic to find them. I love whole foods, I just wish I lived closer to one.....
Eh, whole foods is not as wonderful or unique as it once was...blame Amazon? Prefer Fresh Market these days.
Its the end of the night, you want to go home, I get it. Upon seeing me walk in at 8:30pm one of the cashiers asked her coworker, are the doors locked yet?. Then two others proceeded to follow me with an unfriendly stare. I felt uncomfortable in the store and furious afterwards. I will no longer support this location as long as they work here, one black girl, and two old whites, all of them overweight.
Placed large catering order. Portions were larger than expected. Fed our huge group for two days and it seemed way healthier than takeout.
I love this Whole Foods! Its not as big as others (so there are some things they dont carry) but they have all the important stuff like plenty of vegan foods and ice cream and vegan makeup. The employees here are the sweetest people on the island! My daughter and I are allergic to cow milk so ice cream is out for us. We were able to buy vegan ice cream here and sit in the cool air and have our treat!
This is the first time we have been in this location since Amazon took over a few years ago. First thing that we noticed was the smell. We came into the store from the side near the restroom. It smelled like fish and old freezer. The restroom was DIRTY! Every toilet in the female restroom was nasty. Then walking around the store you could tell it has not been kept up. The fresh produce is not the same as it used to be. The associates were not as nice and happy as they used to be. Brown paper bag broke before we were halfway through the parking lot. I was embarrassed to even be in the store.
The staff is very nice., Glad its in the island, but limited on things youd find at most whole foods because of size. Great meat and deli. Bakery is good with cakes, but limited with other items. Just my opinion. We have bigger stores where I live in NC.
The butcher was the sweetest man. He hand cut the meat for me when it was all sold out AND showed me the special sauce to marinade it in. The lady in produce assisted us as well. Great friendly cashier.Youβd think they would be tired of us tourists : )But they were all happy to please!!!
Fantastic location. A bit smaller than what you might be used to, but itβs ideal for being close to rentals and hotels !
Produce is well displayed and clearly marked as organic & place of origin. Very clean store & helpful clerks.
Heather foods... yes.Wine and beer selections are great!
Yes. They call it Whole Paycheck for a reason. Pricey, but you always know what you get. Late dinner stop where we picked up some entrees and sides from their deli type setup. Helpful employee answered some questions we had about the sides. Lots of Jenis ice cream too for those who have never tried her wonderful products.
Well laid out, nice staff, good selection.
Was disappointed I didnt have powder drinks. The verdicts not in on the bread we bought yet.
High end market with unusual, but good products. Very clean and lots to choose from. Produce was fresh and lovely color arrangement of it.
Still one of my favorite stores. Staff is awesome.
Found everything I wanted and a couple interesting things to try. Store was clean & not crowded.
Didnt have in house guac or tortilla chips but it wasnt crowded and it was very clean. nice!
I loved the staff. They are gracious and kind. I saw continuously cleaning of carts and surfaces. The seafood section was a little smelly. The aisles were clean and passable. Wear your mask.
I love Whole Foods but every time I come to this store itβs such a let down. The employees behind the deli counter ignore customers, peeking over their shoulders with their backs to you to see if youβre still waiting. Waited and tried to wave one of the girls over when she looked over at me again and she continued to ignore. Really frustrating.
Store is nice for tourists but not day to day shopping.
So so....not familiar with their brands...difficult to find help...really good Geneoa salami...wraps were just okay...not the Piggly Wiggly we were accustomed to......things change
As usual...great food assortment for whatever ones palate is looking for.
Great products wish they hadnt closed the whole foods in Augusta Ga.!
I love Whole Foods and itβs my go-to grocery store. We recently moved to the area and I have to say this store needs a facelift. Its outdated and unorganized. Every time I am there they are unpacking and restocking. The meat counter does not look like anything I am used to from Whole Foods and no fresh Salads like Boston lettuce or celery root is available. I have been going to the fresh market mostly instead. Hope they remodel soon. Also is Prime Delivery coming soon?
I like that Kroger on the over end of the plaza pulls in the masses leaving Whole Foods never busy down at the other end. Always leave happy and most importantly, quickly when on vacation.
While they dont carry everything Ive found at other WFs stores, the selection is enough to meet our dietary needs. Located in the beautiful HHI area, i always love going there.
Pretty good selection and always clean and smells good
Always good products and service !!
Just over priced and really poor selection options. Unless you are a Whole Foods committed shopper go to the Krogers for better selection and reasonable prices.
Cheese counter seemed a little under stocked and no hanger steak in meat case
Stopped in to get some Carolina rice. Bought some cbd baths bombs and low sugar wafers along with the rice.
Not quite the level of standards Im used to with respect to other WF.The assortment of produce, fine wines and cheese as well as fresh meat was greatly lacking!
I went to many WFM locations and this is by far the worst I found. Poor selection and many lacking items, when compared to others. So I definitely agree with many reviews here.Furthermore I visited this location several times now and Google Pay never worked. Which is annoying because tonight I had to leave the items I wanted to buy as I hadnt my physical wallet with me.
Friendly staff. Had everything I needed.
Great place, nice personal
Great food, selection and service!
A bit disappointing. Ive been in a few other stores and was very happy with the selection. This one is much smaller and not near the selection of seafood and meat.
Great place with beautiful surrounding.
Great place for Vegan and Vegetarian foods.
Awesome grocery store...great variety of food and other items. Organic produce and friendly staff. Cashier informed me that Amazon Prime members get discounts on certain food items:)
Helpful employees. Clean and offering sanitizer at door.
We stay for months on the island and whole foods is my main store at home and I love it. But I have to say this Whole foods is the worst I have ever shopped at for the months there. Customer service is awful, employees are rude and not helpful. Their stock is constantly very low or non existent. The salad and hot bar were a joke and each time we would stop to eat there the hot bar food was all dried up and looked like it had been out all day. This Whole Foods needs to step it up and get some pointers from other Whole Foods. I really expected more especially being on Hilton Head Island
Not a great variety of fruits and veggies..bread selection is not good
I absolutely love whole foods! The mock chicken salad is amazing! Ive had non-vegans try it and they all love it.
Lots of good vegan choices, staff donβt know where each other are, a little expensive.
We are Amazon prime members so we really like Whole Foods. Very high quality foods and a great staff to work with in selecting all our health food needs.
Good product and great food. Prices little higher but quality much better
Called to order pizza at 7:10 pm. The person on the counter said pizza station is closed even though store closes at 8. I thought This kind of behavior and laziness Donβt belong to Whole Foods. I was wrong... if you not gonna serve pizza when itβs dinner time when you are gonna serve it? Disappointed
Found everything I needed...Butcher was very patient and helpful picking out steaks to grill.
Nice locale. Different set up then the store Im used to and not quite as big, but well kept.
Excellent customer service π
Nice and clean. Staffs are friendly and helpful.
Disappointed in this location, Im use to a bigger selection from my old location.
Full Disclaimer: Coming from the North. All of our WFs are huge. Hilton Head is cozy 2 food tables. 1 hot 1 salad bar.Bonus the pizza is great. Full slices not squares like in NYC/NJ. The sandwich bar is absolutely FAB. Big seating area.Great beer and wine selection. Cashiers are sweet and quick.
Small selection but clean and well organized
Even though it is small for Whole Foods standards, this store has a fantastic beer selection.
I needed to purchase some plant protein, blood oranges and some organic fuji apples.
Is there not a system in place where old food gets donated to the needy? How do we get over throwing out edible food?I started this experience with day old sushi. It wasnt discounted and I pried into why. What I found out is that this whole foods (maybe many others) dont really donate their old food to families in need. They just throw it out. Day old sushi, which is not worth full price, is still worth eating and if you are just willing to waste food without reaching out to every option you have to donate then what good of a company are you?
I wish I could give zero stars. I had a sweet tooth and drove 20 minutes to Whole Foods. I stood at the bakery for 5 minutes waiting to be helped. When a worker finally came out from the back, she said theyre closed. They still had food out even on the hot bar so I was confused. I went back to ask when they closed and she said at 8. I looked at my watch and it was 7:56. I had arrived at least 5-6 minutes before that at 7:50. So Im shocked I was turned away. Even when I politely questioned it, she repeated that they close at 8. IT WASNT 8 YET.
Love this store! Stopped in one day and came back the next day. Foods are fresh and free from various additives. Ready to eat foods are fresh and tasty. Good prices and friendly staff. I will shop here again!
My fave!!!! Love the options, the size, the employees.
It was just okay.
Great variety and awesome customer service
Decent health foods grocery store. But their version of cola is BAD. Sweetened with Stevia. Bought two 12 packs, took a sip out of each and threw the rest away.
Whole Foods on Hilton Head is the best place to go and get high quality foods at very fair prices and know that in the background intelligent people are making sure that products like high fructose corn syrup are simply not going to be in anything you find on the shelves. In a real way theyre doing a great deal of the work for you. Theyre a terrific group of people too, you always find the friendliest people here on Hilton Head Island.
Great selection and friendly helpful staff. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS
A little over priced
Great staff. No electric vehicle charger ?
We wanted to wait until we got here to shop, and thank goodness for the fantastic quality foods and meats. Bryan at the meat counter is FANTASTIC if you get a chance to see him! He helped us get the right cut for our needs and gave us some great local tips.
Great place to shop for your favorite party snacks.
Good selection of whole grains, fresh produce, meats and seafood. Hot bar with daily specials. Great for a quick lunch.
I love shopping here because of all of the vegan food options. I just wish they had more in town. Itβs a long drive from my house. The staff is always friendly and helpful and I LOVE the bar and eatery thatβs available. When I make my special trip out there, I put in a special order for a vegan pizza, as soon as I get there, and itβs ready by the time Iβm done shopping and ready to check out.
Very, very few good buys here. You can get most everything you see here for way LESS money at all the other grocery stores.Mostly brands exclusive to whole foods but nevertheless the same.No idea what the attraction is other than people trying to impress their friends, you knowWhere do you shop Muffy.WELL I shop at whole foods with all the other SNOOTS
Love the store. Wish they had more deals.
So many vegan options, wether it be packaged food or made fresh on the spot! This location has a fairly large dining area too, which is lovely :)
I like Whole Foods, I donβt like employees that donβt respect customers that are spending premium prices. The Whole Foods in Hilton Head Island is the worst preforming in the chain, thatβs for a reason, employees like in the meat department. Courtesy goes a long way to justifying higher pricing. Learn from your competitors, your not offering a better product so your service and attention to detail will go a long way to develop a customer base. Andrew you know what you did and it was pitiful!
Hi there.I live on the island, and have the honor of shopping at Whole Foods on a weekly basis. I have to say that Henrix has been amazing to work with. Hes always positive, and willing to help. Hes very supportive and goes out of his way to help with requests. Hes warm, friendly and welcoming. Kudos to Henrix! You need more people like him!! Bob A
Great selection of seafood and meats. The gentleman working the seafood counter was super helpful. The selection of fresh meat was impressive and presented very well. Place was very clean and enjoyed the experience.
Very pleased with the staff very helpful π
Good fresh food. And nice gluten free choices.
You have to love this place. The Amazon ordering with pickup is my favorite. They have my order waiting when I arrive, beautifully packed.
I love Whole Foods. They were in Augusta, GA...fresh beautiful new store....I didnt fully appreciate them then...they closed....wish we had them back!!A little costly but for some things it is worth it.Glad HH supports this lovely place.... hope they are here forever!
New to the area. I used to live 20 minutes from 3 Whole Foods Stores in Florida. This is a much smaller than other Whole Foods stores. The produce section was not well stocked. I think Publix produce section looks much better than this Whole Food. The cashier didnt know artichoke from leeks :S
This was the worst Whole Foods Ive been to. All kinds of health code violations. Several employees passed by without acknowledging me then the guy that came to make my sandwich had been handling other food and didnt change his gloves. They didnt have ciabatta bread so I settled for the hoagie then he laid the bread down directly on a dirty counter to make it. I told him I changed my mind. Then I saw a lady take baked goods out of the oven and touch them with her bare hands to test if they were done. Anyone with serv safe knows u shouldnt touch food with bare hands after its been cooked. I wont be back.
Great place to get natural foods and foods without all the junk processed into them. A little on the pricey side though - but if you are an Amazon Prime member, you can get discounts.
I never ever experienced in whole foods this kind of bad experience. I think because of our skin color, we order breakfast with my kids croissant with eggs and beacon my goodness it was heavy with egg you can even hold it. I ordered cappuccino she doesnt want to do it she told me to grab from regular coffee . I just want to say we are in 21century and GOD made us equal in his image. I am sad for my kids because i didnt grow in this kind of situation.
Expensive BUT good products!
Verry disappointed with the some organic vegetable it was all rotten no pecans cranberry bread
Really enjoy this store. Although some of the name brands are going to need to be bought at Publix or Kroegers this store has character and high quality specialty products. Looking for a real Pimento Cheese, check, local beer and 4 taps for growler fills, check, fresh local produce, check. Many of the things that make South Carolina special from a food perspective can be found here. Many special items are here including a great Pizza and sandwich bar and oh yeah, grab a pint of beer and enjoy your food.
Well I have to hive them credit for staying by the organic and safe feeling but holy cow very proud of their items. First thing I smelled was fish when I entered but I will give them credit the meat and everything else was very good on the presentation. I left when I seen a six pack of recycled paper towels for $17. Staff very courteous though.
We really enjoyed going here for Lunch and Supplies on our way back to the condo we were renting in palmetto dunes. They make the best sandwiches!
So, they cut salad bar in half?!?! Apparently the asst. manager Debbie needs to go back up to Boston and learn what to do from those stores. The Hilton Head store is a pitiful excuse for a Whole Foods. And we live on the island and have shopped at this store since the grand opening. Bring back the days of Brett - he was a super star. Weβre boycotting the store. Itβs either Kroger or WF in Savannah or Charleston. Iβve had it!
This is always our place of choice from groceries to every day needs.Their staff is awesome. Always helping you to find the right product. I love how everything is organized and the quality of produce/meat is fantastic.
