Once again Levin tire did not disappoint me Damien was very professional a helpful knowledgeable and understanding . I had taken my car to a different shop and got 4 new tires. Went through a car wash and noticed a noise rear passenger side. Turned out to be a tire sensor that was broken off at the other shop . Damien explained how that happened. Once again Im so very happy my car is fixed properly. And at a fantastic price!!! Thank you Damien and the associates that fixed my car!!! Wish once again I could give them more than five stars!!!

I Bought a set of tires for my Ford car there a while back . Went in to have wheels Balanced found out I had several bent rims . They balanced them best they could . They showed me the wheels that was bent and suggested I get new rims because driving on them could cause other suspension parts to wear. They found me new rims for a reasonable amount . Got them in next day and installed them today . Car rides like a dream smooth . Very satisfied. Manager Mark and Jim were great .

My name is Katie and Im his wife. Im sorry I did not use my Google account to review, but I did call 2 times last week and spoke to Damien about front brakes and a thermostat repair. While he was very polite your shop was well over 300 dollars more than several other local auto repair shops. 811 for those 2 repairs was astronomical! The next closest quote was 526 and 3 others were still less than that. So, while I decided not to bring our vehicle in for repair I feel that your shop is grossly overpriced and especially during this pandemic where most people cant afford things they used to. 811 for front brakes which are pads and rotors and a thermostat thats a 20 dollar part??!! I understand it may be kinda hard to access, but 320 more than 5 other locations in Hobart is taking advantage of hard working people who only want quality work and not to have their ba k account busted is just poor business. I called 5 other places after hearing shock from other mechanics at what you quoted just to try to be fair and see whats the local average. You record calls so Im more than happy to provide you with additional information so you can locate my 2 calls and we can discuss this further if youd like?

He told me, that my tires were at half life and were good to go. I knew that, and that convinced me that this is a business I can trust. After a trip through a debris field in Wisconsin we thought we had lost 2 tires. The spare went on one and a can of fix a flat held up the other. We were convinced that one of the tires was destroyed by the speed of the leak and size of the hole. Levin got us in right away (they work 1st come, 1st served so we just headed in at 8AM), cleaned the fix a flat out of one tire (which is an awful job) and patched both successfully! They could easily have sold us one of the tires as we assumed we needed it. They showed integrity and quality service by repairing both properly and sending us on our way with a VERY modest bill.

Would Highly recommend super awesome honest guys!!! anyways I called one hour before they closed on saturday about a wheel alignment for a lowered vehicle and not only did they tell me they could get it aligned that very day for a very reasonable price they actually rcommedned another place that specialized in my vehicle and happily answered any and all my questions on 2 separt phone calls.

Not a bad shop to have small things done

Went to a place to get my tire fixed and the people said it was non repairable and didnt have tire in stock. They sent me to Levin and I went in saying I needed a new tire. They quoted me a fair price and I went with it. They pulled the old tire off and saw that the leak wasnt even where other place said it was and was easily repairable. Repaired and good to go. Could have just sold me a tire and sent me on my way. Their honesty only made 29 bucks vs 160. They just earned a loyal customer. Any work they can do and I need, I will go there for now on

I took my car for an oil change. After the oil change, the manager informed me what other things needed to be repaired such as my front wheel bearings, rear brake pads, and two light bulbs. The manager gave me a fair estimate of the parts and the labor. He also guaranteed that repairs are going to be completed in one day, in approximately 3 to 4 hours. I agreed on repairs, leaving my car in the shop. The same day, in the late Friday afternoon, I received a phone call from the manager. He notified me that while the mechanic took my wheel bearings apart he discovered that the hubs are sealed, badly damaged, and beyond a repair. The manager informed me that since he gave me an estimate of my repairs before the mechanic discovered the damaged hubs, the cost for new hubs with the labor are on them. Although, they were eating the cost they were unable to receive additional parts until after the weekend. That was very understandable. The manager was very professional and apologetic, clearly explaining to me what needs to be done providing me with a realistic timeline. For me, this whole situation was very stressful but the manager was able to offer me service with free parts that eased out my financial and stress-related situation. They also change two light-bulbs I didnt ask for.I gave the Hobart Levin Center and their manager Damian Thomas an A Plus for their outstanding service.

There arent enough wonderful things to say about the staff and services I received. Julian was great, advised on what was needed and didnt try to upsale products I didnt need. Extremely friendly and professional!

We have been there twice, both as walk in emergency situations. In both cases we were taken care of quickly (within a couple hours) and were given options for our repairs with no extra upselling. They might not be the cheapest, but in our experience theyve been the fastest and most transparent.

Had a really good experience. Service was very professional and courteous. Manager was very informative and helped me create a service plan to address several issues on a high mileage car. Applied several discounts and coupons to help me save money. Car runs like new.

My experience was not as good as others. I needed brakes, calipers, etc. Was very costly. $2700. A week later my car display inicated right front tire needed air. When I put air in tire it was not registering on my display however display indicated left front was getting air. Called Levin Hobart and told them what was happening. Was told they must of forgot to reset my tires, bring it back, they will correct and make sure all air pressure in tires are correct. As one tire was a bit overflated. I did. But when I left I saw on display that no air was added or deflated on any of the tires. They were all the same psi as when I brought the vehicle in. I was told the tires would self adjust by driving. Two hours later they did not. I took my vehicle somewhere else to have the correct pressure in my tires. I dont know if technicians are not double checking their work or are in such a hurry that they oversight the job.

Its a shop you can trust with fair prices and theyll stand by their work.Be prepared for a no appt process

Went to have inspection on my suv in order to have an alignment done. Was told i needed hub assembly, tie rods & ball joints on both sides in order to fix suv for alignment. Knew something was up considering i just had hub assemblies done recently. Took it to tire barn where they found NOTHING wrong. Tire barn did my alignment for $85 & that was it while levin was trying to charge me $1900 for unnecessary repairs then extra for alignment after!! They’re some rip off scammers dont do business there!!!

Manager was trying to downgrade my usual auto repair place. I brought in an estimate from my usual place and asked him to give me an estimate for the same service. I told him my usual place couldnt get me in for a week and a half and from there everything he said was a negative remark about my auto place in Wheeler, In. which he never even knew of. To sum this up, he didnt have to downgrade the competitors just to make Levin Tire look better. The reason my usual place is backlogged is because the owner is an awesome business man who gives quality friendly reliable service to his customers. Therefore he gets booked up fast. Every time I go in he is busy with customers. Funny thing is, Levin tire had not one customer at 5pm on a Tuesday when I went in there. Go figure Mr. Levin tire mgr.( You know who you are). Thats the reason my usual place has been in business so long. He treats his employees good!! So stop making pompous remarks about places you havnt even ever been to. The only reason I came to Levin was because you got me in quicker. But I will return to my usual place because they have a fantastic professional business reputation and dont downgrade competitors!

Knows how to change a tire!

I have used levin for several years, they have always done a great job at a fair price. Today was especially rewarding since a few months ago i was told I needed a tire pressure sensor by another dealer for 160.00 levin replaved a valve stem, an air filter, and an oil change for about 100 bucks and i didnt need a tps after all. Also chip did a fantastic job explaining everything hes a great guy.

Spent a few days looking around for tires. A few places tried to do a fake up sell like charging extra to balance the tires. Ummm, hello, I am buying new tires from you. It should not cost $30.00 extra for you to balance each tire.Anyways, Gail was awesome. She was very informative and made the process easy. There were no hidden fees or anything like that. The price was the price. Was very happy with the service Gail provided.

They tried to say my car needed 1700.00 worth of work all it needed was a front end alignment which cost 89.00 and a different tire store entirely...stay away...

We will never go any place else! Our heater core went out and we had already missed 2 days of work. I called for an estimate and the owner or manager was so concerned and kind. They started working on our truck immediately. Service was fantastic and they were kind and caring. They even offered to give us a ride home. Thank you for everything Levin Tire!

Had to order a tire from Chicago. It came in the next day, great price. Try had me in and out in 30 minutes before work, even with having to mount the tire to the wheel and replace the donut. Definitely recommend these guys. (I usually go to Levin in Valpo)

This place is honest, affordable will beat any other place hands down. If they cant fix something they admitt that and advise where to go, which has only happened once. Butch and Pete the front desk attendants are beyond helpful, knowledgeable,and kind...I have been to several places to have work done on my vehicles and I ONLY trust them. Especially because I am a woman and u can definitely tell they do not try to take advantage of that, I pray they are always there for me when I need them. I highly recommend people to come here

When my longtime, usual car repair service center, in Portage, was too busy too fit me in for some same-day brake repairs, I went to Hobarts Levin Tire & Service Center, where Nick was extremely professional and courteous. He took me into the bay to show me exactly what I needed right away, and what could wait. I am absolutely satisfied with the entire experience. While traveling, I hit a pothole and got a flat tire. I came to Levin Tire & Service Center and they were helpful. They told me I would need a new tire, which I knew, and that my rim was bent from the hit. They sold me a BRAND NEW TIRE which they put on the BENT RIM. I was told it would be fine and that eventually I could get the rim fixed or buy a new one but for a quick fix this would work just fine. I then went on my way only to get another flat tire about 100 miles down the road. The brand new tire I just purchased went flat and was destroyed because it was put on a bad rim. WHAT REPUTABLE SERVICE CENTER PUTS A BRAND NEW TIRE ON A BROKEN RIM AND SENDS SOMEONE ON THEIR WAY, LET ALONE A YOUNG WOMAN? They knew it wouldnt hold and they sold it to me anyway. After my 2nd flat tire I called them to let them know what happened and to see if they would give me any sort of compensation. I spoke with Butch, a staff member. After I told him what happened his response was, What do you want me to do about it? Not only is this business dishonest but they have poor customer service. They clearly have no concern for their customers safety.

These guys are awesome. Fixed my wifes lower control arm and complete alignment for an awesome price and had it completed in a timely manner. Would recommend them to anyone.

My twin sister and I went there last year to have work done since the lower control arm broke on the right side. Before that, the ball joint was bad. We asked for the part that they took off, but they never gave it to us. We just went to another place. They told us that the lower control arm and ball joint needs to be replaced since the parts were not properly installed. They showed my sister the picture. The screws are too big for it. They might have to cut into the frame depending on the bolts. She paid a lot to get it fixed the first time. They lost our business.

Sent my girlfriend to Levin for rear brakes (2012 mazda 3) due to the small town name and the number of high reviews. The immediate red flag was probably the tech approaching her in the lobby and asking, well what do you think is a fair price?...How the hell should she know? Do most girls in their late 20s know what a brake job costs? He then quoted her at 1160 dollars. Thats right, 1160 dollars. She texted me, and I immediately called them... oh well we do a detailed inspection and that price includes an oil change and transmission fluid flush As in...this lube shop wants to flush the transmission fluid of a 7 year old automatic mazda that is STILL UNDER WARRANTY. The tech then tells me her calipers are shot, and that they are not common and therefore more expensive to replace. Needless to say i told him to put it back on the ground, and that she would take it somewhere else. I only wish i could have had him put the old oil back in it because even paying for an oil change here upsets me. Criminal shop, absurd estimate. Never, and i mean never ever ever ever - pay someone to work on your vehicle that asks you what you think is a fair price before they give you an estimate. They are supposed to be industry professionals...not you.2 HOURS LATER - I leave work, meet her and bring her and her car to another local shop. rear pads and rotors with an inspection (turns out she doesnt need calipers) - 330 dollars.

Took my car to get an alignment done. The I hate my life guy behind the counter shows me the graph, we adjusted this and that. Ok, awesome. My car still pulls to the left. $1xx.xx of my hard earn money down the drain. This place could burn to the ground for all I care. Dont waste your time or money. Visit the Levin Tire in Merrillville.

Ive purchased two sets of tires for my cars at this place, always felt welcome back in except for one time when they were really busy and Butch was a lil grumpy but hey we all have had those days, just ordered a new set for my car. You can shop around but they will match anything out there you can find.

I get tires from them and alignments, its a little expensive but I like there 60/70k mile warranties and nationwide extended warranty. Ive gotten three tires thanks to the warranty they offer, I drive about 8k a year so these 4 tires will last a long time like the previous did.

Went in the afternoon with no appointment for radiator flush and brake fluid change on our Ford Expedition. Had me out in about twenty minutes. We often use Levin Tire for maintenance on our vehicles and tires and they have always done right by us.
