The wait time is disgusting. Had an 8:45 appt.Took me back on time, did the vision check and dilated the eyes. Told it tool 10 minutes for the dilation to work. Then I had to wait ovrr an hour and a half to see the doctor. Absolutely ridiculous. I will say that the quality of care is good.
I would like to recommend Chicago Cornea and Dr. Maria Rosselson...located in building 2 on the same grounds as St. Alexius Hospital. Dr. Rosselson is professional, thorough and kind.
I first started coming here 7 years ago, when my optometrist referred me here. Dr. Randy Epstein, Dr. Charles Faron and Dr. Parag Majmudar are all great! Theyre really nice and helpful. Dr. Epstein performed my surgery and cant thank this man enough! The office staff are real nice people. Only complaint is that you may need to wait longer beyond your appointment time. However, I dont mind it, since the doctors really care about their patients and dont want to rush to get you out just to get the next person. All the mentioned doctors are who I encountered and were all happy to show me how to protect my eyes and answer all my questions!
2.5 hours behind. That’s insane. Won’t recommend.
I don’t like leaving bad review, in-fact I tried to contact management in August, I thought I’d get a response, but NOTHING. I was actually reluctant to return here because I saw the reviews on here, but had been here in the past and decided to return even thought it’s out of my way, MY MISTAKE. This office is the most unorganized mess! You have me call in to tell you Ive arrived before coming in, I appreciate that in a pandemic but I still wait 15 minutes with other patient in the waiting room(During a pandemic!!!) It’s obvious that youre doubling up appointment or over lapping, which really doesn’t seem like you have your patients best interest at heart, but more about money. Nothing is business as usual!!!! You screw up my appointment all my voicemails are saved on my phone so I have documentation that you made the error. The lack of professionalism from the front staff really needs to be addressed and trained on hoops laws. Front desk also feel it’s appropriate to complain about this location while patients can hear everything. I can’t blame them too much because I’ve witnessed the belittling of the staff from a Doctor in front of me and other in the waiting area. There is a small few people that I believe are good here, but not enough to have me return.
I wish I can give zero rating. Too much wait, small place for sitting area, crowded. When I performed my service, they didnt let me inform that you are only covered after 24 months, just scheduled in 12 months and get money from myside rather than Insurance. I will not recommend.
I am not one to write reviews online unless it’s really positive or really negative. I feel compelled to share my experience. I was referred to the Hoffman Estates location by my eye doctor who coordinated with this office to see me on the same day. The first time, they fit me into the schedule, so I understand the disruption. The front office staff reminded me more than once, that I was, in fact, a disruption. I had a follow up appointment this morning (a week later) for 8:30 am, assuming an early appointment would not be impacted by delays. I arrived at 8:15 am. At 9:00 am, I asked the front desk staff when I might expect to see the doctor, they said something similar to ‘soon’. I didn’t see the doctor until after 9:30 am. Now reading some of the reviews posted, I guess this is normal. The kicker was that when I shared my frustration with the doctor, she said, “I have been here, not sure what the problem was” – basically denying any responsibility for the delay and totally throwing the front office staff under the bus. The doctor wanted to see me in a week and I politely said, no thank you! If you have a choice, go somewhere else – there are other reputable choices out there that won’t treat with such blatant disrespect.
Very nice people cares about their patients.
I wish there was a zero star option they need better staff. seriously first time and last will never come here again also if asked, I will definitely tell people not to go to their practice. This is not geared toward the Dr. Because the Dr I saw was absolutely great but with staff like that why would anyone even want to go their.
(Updating with more information). As I mentioned previously, Chicago Cornea sent me a bill after 3 years. I spoke with multiple representatives that this is not fair - that they should have reached out me close to when I had service. Not to mention that I changed two jobs since then and my insurance provider is different. There was no way to figure out what happened.Without any rational thought, Chicago Cornea sent the imaginary debt to a debt collection agency. To reduce my stress and to make sure that they do not continue to harass me and my family, I paid the amount out of my own pocket. So lesson is - stay away from these guys. Avoid the stress. There are better doctors and providers out there.----------------------------------------------------------------------------Save yourself and do not ever go to Chicago Cornea.I went to Chicago Cornea in 2015. I always ensure that my insurance is covered. After 3 years they send me a bill .. yes, after 3 years! And told me that my insurance did not pay. I am no longer with my old insurance and dont even know what happened.Horrible, horrible service and experience. Go to another practice rather than this fraud agency.
The doctor is great, but the wait time is ridiculous. 2-3 hours, yes, definitely can expect that, but nearing 4-5 hours spent at the office, most of that waiting for the doctor isnt justifiable. These folks need to do a better job at not over-scheduling. Very disappointed. No one updates you, or checks on you during the long bouts of waiting. Professionalism is taking a hit here.
Great friendly staff. Professional attitude. Went above and beyond with diagnose and lense fitting. To the people that commented about the long wait time, I can say this: this is not a restaurant or a drive thru, you cant give one or 2 stars because you waited too long.
I had an appointment at 2:30pm. I am still waiting for my turn after 2:15 hours. There is only one doctor available. Thats too long. I would not come back here. Its pathetic.
Waited 3 hours to have 5 minutes with the doctor. Go elsewhere. Horrific
I had a good experience I guess it depends on what day you choose to see the Dr . I didnt really have to wait that long expecting the staff are very nice I have no complaints .
My right eye was bothering me and was able to get in . The doctors are great and very caring.
Great doctors - can do laser surgery to patients no one else can do (large pupils) very successfully. Love the doctors.
Great experience, great staff! Sometimes wait times are long, but overall good staff.
For us it was a good experience, a bit of wait but because we were filling out a medical history questionare, other than that everything went pretty well. The doctor and staff were attentive and courteous!!!
Its the worst place I have ever seen in my life, the staff is unprofessional, no bed side manners, and waiting time before you see Dr is more than 2 hrs.,So horrible place
