Kiana did a wash and blow dry/style. She was excellent. She spent time exposing different hair masks. She tells you everything she is doing so that you know what to do at home. I have hair that can be unpleasant to work with - I have long, thick, wavy/frizzy hair that is also dry due to moving to Utah. She is the first person who has ever been able to blow dry it straight enough that I would consider no further heat styling. She did beach waves and styled my curtain bangs perfectly. It feels soft and looks like I got a haircut! I am very pleased and will continue to come back.

Melissa did my hair today. She was so professional and cared for my hair. She was fun and kind also her recommendation was so right. I didnt do coloring my hair so many years so I was super nervous also I have thick hair(Different hair texture). She did an amazing job. I invested some money to my hair:) worth it. My hair looks so natural even after coloring. I love it. Ill go back to her. Thank you

Extremely unreliable and terrible customer service!!! I scheduled my appt weeks ago, received a followup text to confirm date and time and then another text asking about my service needs to ensure the time and booking was accurate. Now just 4 days away from my appt they called to tell me they had a computer glitch that caused a double booking and had to move my appointment a week or more out. I was excited to find a new place and stylist for the long haul, but clearly this is not a reliable place that knows how to do business. Thanks for not putting your customers first and ultimately I am glad I dodged that bullet.

If I could give all the stars in the world to this salon... I would. I got an AWFUL haircut from a beauty school and cried for a good chunk of the night when I got it. The next day I had several friends tell me that lunatic fringe was the place to go! So I called and explained my situation and they were able to get me in that very day! They close at 7, but Jill was so wonderful and stayed late to help me fix my mess of a hair. She made me feel better about it and made sure I knew I wasn’t going to look like a weirdo for a few months 😂 she knew exactly what she was doing and fixed it to be a beautiful haircut with just a few quirks (courtesy of our beauty school cut) that she easily masked with curls. She taught me how to style it to make sure it looked good and im so so grateful.Lunatic Fringe is the place to go! ❤️❤️❤️

Had my first cut with Kiana and will definitely be coming back. The salon is clean and professional. I didnt give Kiana much direction just that I wanted to take off quite a bit off the length. She talked me through some ideas and she did an amazing job!

Kailey was my hair stylist today and gave me the best haircut I have ever had! She listened carefully to my description of how I wanted my hair cut, asked thoughtful, clarifying questions, and understood my hair type and style, giving me the most perfect, flattering cut. This world needs more Sara Lee’s . She fixed my crispy quarantine hair, and gave me a cut and color I feel cute in again. Not only is her work amazing, she could quite possibly be the funniest person I’ve ever met. She’s great, the salon itself was great, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Amazing place. Just moved here a few months ago, saw a lady whose hair I liked and asked who did it. Thats how I found Libby. Its always difficult finding a stylist when moving to a new place, but she nailed my color the first time, the salon is great, nice atmosphere, very clean and comfortable. Prices are only slightly higher than Im used to, but cheaper than other salons in the area that I researched. Cant beat the value for the quality though.

Jill is great with coloring brunettes! The salon has a beautiful view of the mountains. The products Lunatic Fringe salons use are high quality and leave my hair feeling so soft.

I have been seeing Libby for a few months now and she knocks it out of the park every time. Each time I come in with something new I want done to my hair and she exceeds my expectations every time. She is always on time, her space is clean, the salon is gorgeous and I feel taken care of and welcome. If I could have Libby do my hair every week I would!

I made an appointment because I had quarantine hair to the max. Jill was able to work around my schedule, didn’t leave until my hair was how we wanted it, offered treatments that made my hair feel better then it has in years. I recently moved so needed to find a new salon. I’m always nervous going somewhere new but JILL was fantastic! She turned my brittle over processed blonde hair into a sexy dark reddish brown and felt like silk afterwards. I couldn’t believe it! It’s so flattering and probably the best color I’d ever gotten. I started having Kylie do my hair earlier this year and have not never loved my hair so much. Kylie is an absolute professional who has a deep understanding of hair styling, technique and product. Shes been able to help heal my hair after it had been over processed and over bleached. She always makes sure Im involved in the experience and makes sure to educate her guests. In addition, the salon is in a gorgeous, clean space and the entire staff is so friendly and helpful.

Kylie Fowler is my favorite go to hair dresser! She is so kind and friendly. I’ve struggled in the past to find a hair dresser that doesn’t make my hair look yellow when i get it bleached. Kylie made sure to understand what exactly I wanted done to my hair and I got exactly what i envisioned!

Theyre amazing friendly and know what they are doing! They got us in for an emergency color fix on my daughters hair. They had it to exactly what she wanted and the price was very fair!

Please have your stylists ask clients if they want an additional service (e.g., Fusion Dose) before proceeding with the appointment. It is inappropriate to charge a client for something that was not recommended nor requested, putting them in a situation where they have no choice but to pay for something that fell outside their budget. It felt sneaky and under-handed. Clarification on the question of the clients budget, when asked, would save a lot of miscommunication, which occurred in my experience.This minor complaint, if fixed, will show a salon that values its customers. Otherwise, you risk a lousy reputation and lose clientele when you let it continue.On a positive note, I did appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff.My stylist, Kylie Fowler, was pleasant to be around and friendly. She made me feel comfortable, and she was attentive to understanding my needs. I was very nervous going into my appointment because it had been over ten years since I had any color put in my hair. I am a redhead, and finding the right color for my hair can be tricky. I requested partial highlights of blonde, and the result was beautiful! She did a fantastic job on my hair. She is very talented and knows her stuff. I will be booking with her again based on the experience I had.By the way, I appreciate that sanitation of the salon was taken seriously.

This was my first time going to a LF salon and it was quite refreshing from the former home based salons I usually go to. I had a root retouch color with Kiana, which she did a great job with matching my old color. The best part though, was the shampoo! The bowls are in a separate room with spa music and dimmed lights. She did the BEST scalp massage I’ve ever had! She also styled with Shu Uemura products (which I’ve never tried) and they made my hair so silky and smooth. Such a great experience! The salon is in a great location too, lots of shops and restaurants. A star review for me!

I have used the services here in the past for years. I am the General Manager at my work place. This morning one of my team members called out sick. COVID really stinks. With my team now down by one I called to reschedule my appointment. Instead of graciously assisting me to make that change, I was charged $130.00. Way to show some customer service! Needless to say, you have lost my business.

Sara Lee did an amazing job! I went in for a trim and got so much more than that. She massaged my head and neck and really took her time making sure the cut was perfect. She educated me on the products that are right for my hair type and showed me techniques for styling. The receptionist was amazing as well. Seriously great customer service.

I am very picky with my hair so I have a hard time finding a salon/stylist that I really like. My stylist, Mandy, is THE BEST! She is so cute & friendly. She actually takes time asking questions to make sure she understands what you want done with your hair, which is so important to me. I have been 100% satisfied every time. You can tell she really cares and takes pride in her work! The salon is so cute and everyone there is super welcoming; always offering drinks and snacks while getting your hair done. I recommend this salon any time I can.

“I will not be going back.” -wife. She went to Chris who was extremely nice but was clearly not ready to be left alone while handling cut and color. She went in with light brown/red hair and showed him a picture of what she wanted. It was a strawberry blonde of a look highlighting some of her natural red hair and giving highlights throughout. She walked out with PURPLE hair. Deep dark vibrant purple. She had to call and set up another appointment so that they could fix. No apology was given and even worse were the constant statements like “I’ll make sure this conditioner is on the house” uhh yeah it better be, the fact we had to spend 8 hours at the salon most of which to fix your screwups I should have gotten all my money back.To make matters worst she thought the cut of the hair was at least decent and was happy with that until the last couple days when getting ready in the morning she has found spots of hair that clearly were missed some over an inch longer than hair around it. We expected a high end salon to put together a better result and if Chris is still in training or not up for such a job I wish he had a support system around him that would not have put her in such a position.

I’ve been going to this Lunatic Fringe location for my past few hair appointments and I have absolutely nothing bad to say! The professionalism and service that they provide is amazing. My stylist Sarina is the absolute best. She is the sweetest and does great work. If you are looking for a salon I 100% recommend this location and Sarina!

Sara my hair stylist absolutely rocks. She has 10 years of experience. She takes what you want and helps educate you on how to achieve that, wonderful atmosphere great all around service. Also audrina helped me purchase products all the staff is very kind and accommodating.

I went to Lunatic Fringe Salon to get my balayage redone by the stylist Audriana. I thought the entire experience and job was very well done and ended up loving how my hair ended up turning out with the new hair color and tones. Definitely would recommend.

I just moved to Utah and had to find a new salon. It’s always nerve wracking to try a new place. You never know if they’ll get your color right or if they’ll chop your hair into some awful shape. I am so happy to report that I chose well going to Lunatic Fringe. My stylist was Sara Lee and she is awesome! She matched my color perfectly and cut my hair so well that it looked great the moment I got out of her chair. It styled beautifully this morning and my husband says it looks great! You’re going to spend some money here, but you get what you pay for and at Lunatic Fringe it’s actually worth it!

I paid $300.00 for full highlights and left gold brassy hair. I am very disappointed in the color of my hair. I went to another salon and Was told that the bottom of my hair looks great because it had so much time to process and the top of my hair is golden and did not process long enough I felt that the stylist Melissa should have known better about color processing. She didnt put my hair under the dryer or anything. She was quick to peddle hair products and a conditioning treatment but couldnt do the same for my hair.

I love this salon! It is completely gorgeous. I appreciate how welcoming and attentive the stylists are. I always feel comfortable and cared about. They only use the BEST products available. Ive been coming to see Cindy for the past 4 years and completely trust her with my hair. She doesnt just give me the haircut I ask for -- instead she provides input on whether it will work with my hair type and lifestyle. I tend to want my hair to be very low maintenance. I dont feel pressure from her to come in more frequently or do services Im not interested in. When I have wanted to do more with my hair (color for example), she has been very skilled.

Lunatic Fringe Holladay is beautiful salon! Very professional and you leave knowing you have had the best of the best coloring and styling your hair! Cassey is my favorite and I know I can trust her with my fine, wavey and easily damaged hair. I have never left without feeling my hair has been leveled up, not down by their products. They give input when unsure of what I want to do and I LOVE that! I drive 45-50 minutes each way because they are that good!

Ive been going to Kailey for over three years now. I started with her shortly after moving to Utah. I had been so stressed in my old job that my hair became extremely brittle and over an inch broke off. She helped me relearn how to style my hair without heat (my choice), and we grew it back out to the longest its ever been. Then, at the beginning of this year I got struck with a medical diagnosis and Ill be losing most of my hair. It sucks after working so hard to grow it out, but Kailey, and all of lunatic fringe has been there for me, squeezing me in last minute during emergencies brought about by my treatment, surrounding me as I made tough emotional choices in regards to my hair, and just being overall so supportive. Kailey is much more than just my stylist, shes helped me through huge milestones in my life and Im so thankful I happened upon her years ago.

Absolutely LOVE this location! Not only is the entire staff polite and friendly but Sarah is an amazing stylist! She always does a phenomenal job and is the only person I trust doing my hair. If I could give more stars I definitely would! Keep up the great work guys!

She does great with all modern styles and when I have business trips she helps me tone it down and look like a dapper gentlemen. I will often go in and be like Do what you want and I always end up looking good. She also taught me about product and how to use it better. Blew my mind. My hair is no longer caked in product and looks so natural. Just do it worth every penny. Plus the environment at Lunatic is so relaxing and classy. Makes you feel special.

Ive been to this wonderful location a couple times now. Courtney colors my hair and I have to say its always a fun experience, she actually remembers me unlike other salons Ive been to. The atmosphere in the salon is always welcoming. Im always getting compliments on my hair and Ive referred a lot of family and friends and they too feel the same way. My stylist was Zoe and she is so down to earth and honest. The salon was amazing immediately received a water bottle and coffee later on while my hair was being done. The location is awesome you can get a sandwich from the deli next door while your color is developing. The service is amazing and I really enjoyed myself. I would recommend this place to anyone.

They turned my lady friend’s hair orange. She’s been going there forever and when you spend $200-300 there’s an unspoken higher expected standard. This wasn’t met and she was told to basically kick rocks. That’s alarming. I want to urge you to realize that thats a firm infraction towards customer service. When you do things like that in this profession you lose your professional credibility. Hair is important ! Please take the time to look into the numerous places in salt lake to have your hair done.

Jess did a phenomenal color correction, and IT LOOKS AMAZING. My husbands reaction was worth every penny. It took such a load of stress off with our big day coming up and made me so excited for our pictures. Right off the bat, the decor is stunning. Everything is very clean and neat. Staff is friendly and professional. But best of all, its by far the best hair color, cut and style Ive ever had! The prices are reasonable for the value you get.

I had a terrible experience. I had very long hair. I went in for a weave and a trim. I, sadly, didnt notice until it was too late that the stylist was putting the ends of my hair in the foil. Ive NEVER had a stylist do that, thus, I didnt even consider that she would. When she took the foils out, it was apparent that my hair was terribly damaged. I asked her to give me a deep condition, as I could tell it was bad. She couldnt even comb the conditioner through my hair, although she charged me for the treatment. She and I were combing, puling gobs of burnt hair out of my head. She was very clearly inexperienced. She didnt even seem to know how to use the faucet while shampooing my hair. I would never go back to this location. I shouldnt have paid for the service, as she ruined my hair. She shouldnt have charged me. She knew what she had done. She should find a new career.

I have been going to Mandy for several years now! She is my absolute favorite and I haven’t been to anyone since!I had a really hard time finding a hairstylist that gave me what exactly what I wanted when I moved to Salt Lake.. but she works magic!Just check out her insta and see for yourself, or better yet, book an appointment. She is booked out a few weeks in advance at least, usually so don’t expect to get in right away unless you get lucky.@mcastle_hair

Sarina was awesome. I went in for a deep condition and blow out, not only was the service incredible but the quality of the services exceeded my expectations. Sarina is very knowledgeable, professional, and talented. I went in a week later for the same treatment.

I was not impressed. I did my color + highlight with one stylist and haircut a few days later with another stylist. Both were just mediocre. And there is a bit of snobbish vibe which is not necessary.

I love Lunatic Fringe and I ESPECIALLY love Tason Lee! I’ll never go to another salon or stylist. They make sure you are taken care of from the beginning to the end and you leave happy. 10/10 recommend

Althea can put in amazing crochet braids and weaves. It is so nice to find a nice salon for my daughters hair. I love this place.
