Well after looking around the store for less than 5 minutes I was approached by an employee( not even dressed in proper ace hardware employee clothing) and was asked if he could help me find anything. I responded, no im just looking around but thank you. He then kept pressing the issue so I finally told him exactly what project I was working on and what I was generally looking for. That is when he cut me off and said I dont listen to Crack heads and walked away. I have no idea where the Crack head accusation came from and I take personal offense to it by the fact my father died from a Crack addiction. I strongly feel this employee should be fired for treating a customer this way.

The real deal!! Remember back in the day when you would go to a hardware store with your dad and the guy behind the counter actually cared that you came in? Was concerned about what you were looking for? And exhausted himself to help you? WELL... thats George at the ACE Hardware in Holladay. Thanks George for being so engaged and helpful! Stores and stuff dont make businesses great... people do... and George, Id give you a solid 10 if I could! I didnt believe people like you existed anymore; what a delight to find out I was wrong!

This is the worst ace hardware. Super shady. They lie and are lazy! I am not one to write complaints but I have never been thrown around like this buying something. I had to call cooperate to get info after not receiving the Item for 2 weeks.. Then cooperate called the store and the store told them they would deliver it.. a week later still never got it so I showed up at the store and the store shows they delivered it.. but we never actually got it!! The employees there did not seem surprised at all by the issues I was having with this location.. DO NOT BUY ONLINE from this location..

Helpful...never been disappointed at Ace...staff is wonderful?

First I was greeted by these wonderful and happy young men (Nolan and Ben) at the Holladay location. I was helped by them only to find that they didnt have the item in stock. They went above and beyond and called down to their Cottonwood location to find the part I needed. I went down to that location and was greeted by another pair of great young men named Joe and Javi. They had the items ready at the front for me to purchase. Wonderful stores, would shop from them again! Thank You Javi, Ben, Nolan, and Joe!:)

I called this store to enquire about knife sharpening and was told by Junior he provided this service and would have the work done the next day. In brief, after three phone calls with Junior, three trips to the store and three promises of completion times, the knives were not done. I ended up taking the knives home un-sharpened. When I picked up the knives, two congenial and efficient employees, Ben and Gavi, were apologetic even though they had no part in the matter. Evidently, I am not the only customer disgruntled with Junior. I will not be doing business with this Ace location.

Great selection of things I need. Great staff until today, when a confrontation between two staff members started to get heated. When I suggested, as a customer, that the discussion should probably take place in the back, or at least not in front of everyone, I was told by the employee that he didnt care.I get that there are bad days, and disagreements happen. But telling a customer that you dont care is NOT a good option.I will NEVER go back to this Ace.

The store is so hard to navigate rooms off to the side does not flow well. When asked where something was the directions only confused us also it was very hot in the store.

Do not buy from Ace Hardware!! My friend and I are doing a project to make shelters for feral cat colonies to keep them warm in the winter, and needed styrofoam boxes. We decided to order some online from Ace Hardware to pick them in store. When we ordered them, they said that we could pick them up the next day, but when we went the next day they told us that they didnt have them at this store but that we had to drive down to the Cottonwood location since they had a few. (they did not send any email about any sort of delay) so we drove to pick up the ones in Cottonwood only to find that they were a smaller size than we ordered. When I went back to return them, they said that they couldnt get the right ones in until a week later! A week later we finally got them and when we got home we noticed that they had stuck a 30 qt sticker over the original sticker that said they were 28 qt. (We needed the 30 qt). Still havent gotten the size we ordered in the first place. Just going to return and buy someplace else. Do not waste your time here.Edit: Now they claim that the coolers are up to 30 qt capacity- I checked my order and the website I ordered it on and it specifically says that the coolers are 30 quart capacity. Scam.

Incredibly bad customer service. I special ordered a barbecue here and had arranged for them to set it up for me. When I went to pick up my barbecue it was wet and sticky with epoxy the manager of the store had tried to fix the barbecue that had arrived broken with epoxy.

The guys here are so wonderful and helpful! I got locked out of my car across the street and they helped me get back into it with a few cheap tools from the store, George truly went above and beyond and Im so grateful.

Visited in search of a particular part. Employee was incredibly helpful, and while they didnt have what I needed, called around to find a nearby store that did. I appreciate this level of service. Store was clean with most your normal COVID precautions in place, including register distancing and employees with masks.

Love the specially parts selection i changed my review to a 3 star only because the return policy of 30 days isnt on the receipt or clearly posted in the store. So Im stuck with a pile of nuts and bolts I needed for 1 day and finally got back out here( not going to make a special trip for a 6$ receipt)

Turned away for using a $50 bill! This location is located in a high-income zip code, but they preferred that I leave if I used bills larger than $20. I also tried the Ace customer service number, and waited 20 minutes, only to be told their system is down. I guess there’s a reason Home Depot and Lowe’s do better.

Im so glad they opened a hardware store in this location . Its very convenient and the staff are always so nice and helpful . The store is always so organized and clean . They have almost everything the big chain stores have and no long lines or crowds . Love it

Just had the worst customer service!! I showed up at 7:58 to get a copy of my house key and when I asked for help was not helped at all. A middle age guy with a cowboy hat asked me if I was serious asking for help when the store was closed still. Wasnt sure if he was kidding so I stay quiet waiting for him to say that it was a joke or something. Since I didnt say anything, he said that he would not give me service since I didnt apologize and gave the key back to me. I asked him if he was serious and he responded if I was serious to ask for help when the the sign says closed (there are multiple signs in that door so is hard to find the open closed sign). I left and told him that his customer service is bad. If this guy is the owner, shame on him. If he is an employee hopefully someone talks to him about it.

Customer service at the front was dismal. No greeting. When I stood there for a moment, looking for where I needed to go, I heard a voice say, can I help you? When I turned around to tell him I was looking for a dethatcher attachment, he started to say something, another person at the register asked him something, he answered them but forgot about me. I started looking around myself and did find another person whom was very helpful. So I got my blade, went to my car, remembered I had forgotten something, a flag, and literally thought about going back in. I didnt really feel like I was wanted. But I did go back, and this time I wasnt even greeted. There were two people behind the register, but I wasnt even acknowledged. So the flags were right there by the register, some didnt have the prices displayed. I stood there for 10 minutes as they talked. I wasnt going to interrupt them, so I took one of the flags up to the register and asked them to scan it. He didnt really show he wanted to help. I just bought that flag because at that point I wanted to get out of there. My profession is in Custmoer Relations. So I may be a harsh. But nonetheless, customer service was non existent.

The customer support is always there. They do change displays often, so ask where the item is when going into the store. They are very helpful. They currently dont have the Door Bungee yet, but you can get one at doorbungee.com

This is my favorite of all the Ace locations. The guys who work here are all super friendly, and always stop to make sure I find what I am looking for. No one here is ever tired or grumpy, the shelves are always stocked, it is clean and well lit, and I almost always find what Im looking for. Ill always depend on the Holladay Ace for my daily hardware needs. Thank you for all of your hard work to serve our community!

Jam packed with enough tools/ supplies to fill a large home depot, but in 1/8 the space! Very well organized and easy to skim the various selections available with one sweep of your eyes. Friendly and helpful employees.

Manager their is a stud i think he is the manager if not he should be.. im talking about the guy in the cowboy hat that hooked me up with a light while I was really needing one while working in the dark out side the store

I like this store . But you need a dress code the woman working there was wearing shorts so short my grand kid age 6 wouldnt even wear in my business my employees dress like they are ready for business not a beach party

ACE stores are always friendly. They had the stain I need for my IPE deck and tinted it for me. Pretty awesome.

Horrible customer service!!!!Came into store 4 times and ordered some sprinkler parts. Told they would contact me. Nope that was not the way they work. I came back all 4 times and today I was told that they are not able to get the parts, really I have been in the store 4 times and you just found out, and I have left my phone number each time and was told they were going to call me back. Never did so, sorry was their answer? Will go to Home Depot from now on, Ace Hardware is a waste of you time, they probably wont have it anyway and then youve just wasted a trip. go to Home Depot the first time and save time effort and money!!!

Terrible experience! Be sure you know explicitly their warranty policy before you buy or you can get hurt.If the product is not specifically an Ace product all bets are off. Stihl products are not part of the Ace product line. Buyer bewarer. bought and paid for a dead on arrival Stihl they made me take it in for repair, 10 days and waiting.

Definitely a smaller Ace hardware, but I have been here on multiple occasions and they seem to have what I need. The staff has been friendly and helpful too!

Very friendly and helpful staff, but I had an inconvenient shopping experience because of idiotic owners decision not to carry an item that other hardware stores always have. They dont sell softener pellets. Reason? They want customer to go to the owners other business in the same strip mall, a grocery store (which is not close enough to walk to lugging salt pellets). I had just come from there, and I wasnt going to return just for salt. Now Im not going to return for anything else. What the heck are they thinking?
