Amazing prices and if you look deep enough you’ll find some hidden gems! i found so many brand-name clothing items (Loft, Express, etc) for SUPER cheap, including 2 that still had the tag. definitely recommend.

I used to love shopping here. Lately a bunch of vultures stay at the back door and snatch up everything good before it even makes it to the shelves. The store does nothing about the vultures and they ruin this store for everyone else. Dont waste your time. The vultures take everything.

Good selection of everything you’d expect at a thrift store, but a great selection of furniture and glassware. Some good unique pieces can be found here, but it can be messy in certain areas of the store.

I coming here every friday for happyhours and is the same four cashier i wait in line for 40 minutes i never come back is a disaster😡

This is the best thrift store around -- I have traveled around the world, and honestly this store has amazing selection every time. Prices have gone up with new management, but its still worth it when you only pick half-off items.

It is an o.k thrift store though to be blunt not really my kind of thing. It is a big store, a little messy but well kept and easy to walk around in with three separate departments. Service was not needed but it seemed o.k from a distance. They have a good cheap looking inventory bit very little that I actually liked. Once more, it is just o.k and that is it, really.

Great organization and products! I was able to find many name brand clothing articles for super cheap! I found 3 Lululemon items all under $10. In total I got 12 items if clothing for $57. What a awesome deal!Would definitely come back.

My cell phone was picked up by one of the store shoppers when I laid it down while cashing out and not returned to me on 9-10-2020 at 6:15 pm. The workers seem and presented a response to me without saying it so what - we dont care. I requested to have the camera rolled back to see who the individual was. Told that the Manager was the only one who could review the camera and they were not at the site. I would have to wait until the next day. Finally, a manager name Juanita was present this morning and I asked about my cell phone. No one had turned it in. Even better, no one had even bothered to inform management a customer phone was stolen. Per Juanita, this am - 09-12-2020, the cameras are broken inside the store, not working, but she would speak to another Manager. What for I asked as the cameras are not working. What could that manager do for me?I love shopping at this thrift store, but feel that their cameras should be up and running.Dishearted.

Place Been here 20 years one time was great long ago . Now Prices are way crazy here. I thought they get it for free?? Most Clothes are cheap but brick & Brack is wayyyyyyyyyy over priced. greedy greedy.. most stuff belong in the trash wants $2.99 has a dollar store sticker they missed... good luck.. $20.00 for items, pricer dont even know what it is ???? Broken metal statue for $169.00, junk if wasnt broken. I would pass it up in the trash pile... Only thing good about this place is the clothes and the FLAG..

I thought it was a good experience. Some of the good clothes were damaged. I’m not sure why they would charge $15 for a designer shirt that was dirty & the label was falling off. I guess thrift stores see labels and think, “expensive” with no thoughts towards quality. I loved the selection & the prices on the majority of clothes. The bad a great sale the day I was in - 50% off red, white & blue tags.The line was long but they had it moving quickly. The only interaction I had with employees was at the cash register and I wasn’t impressed. The cashier was too busy talking to her other cashier friend to bother being friendly. I think she said one word to me. Aside from that it was a good experience!

For a thrift store, its extremely clean and well maintained. There is a lot of staff there to help you. The merchandise is higher quality and better brands than I usually find in other thrift stores. Theres a large furniture section that offers great deals. Ive found many designer items in excellent condition at less than 30% than the cost. Its a great place to look for gifts and dishes/kitchen items. Theyre constantly receiving new items, so its like a whole new store every time I go. They also have great discount days. Student discount is every Thursday.

The people that work here are not friendly such as they dont want to be bothered with questions. There is a lot less toys then they used to have. Clothes are organized by color but not buy size so it takes a long time to search for clothes. Prices arent so bad. Clothes are usually in good shape. Some designer stuff extremely expensive.

It is a simply an easy organized and clean place . First time entering the place great customer service and the fast cashiers were so amazing and friendly.

The attitude of the employees in this store is unbelievable. I went today with a friend and was treated so rudely by the woman at the fitting rooms. I tried on my initial 5 things and then was booted out of the fitting room. I thought “Fine, I have a couple of things and there’s a line”. So I was shocked when the next women tried on her five things and then was allowed to grab more clothes. I waited patiently for all the people who were there after my initial try on to go into the fitting rooms. Then I tried to go in only for the lady to tell me I couldn’t go in because my friend was still in the dressing room. This made no sense at all because we were two different people and were trying on different clothes. There has been other people who were clearly with each other who were allowed to go in fitting rooms at the same time. The way she said this was with so much attitude you would’ve thought I skipped the whole line and was being obnoxious, while I was just waiting and playing on apps on my phone. Not only that, but when my friend asked for my opinion on the clothes she was trying on (while I was waiting on line), the woman was rolling her eyes and giving us the stink eye. I decided it wasn’t worth the bargains and that until this store fixes their terrible employee attitude situation, I have no plans on purchasing anything.

I love the store however there is no social distancing going on whatsoever, there are way too many people in the store! The manager should do something about it.

This is a chain of thrift stores with a few locations in South Florida and one in New York. I had previously been to the Lauderhill location. My problem seems to be the same in both stores, everything I pick up is dirty or damaged. They sell clothing, house hold goods, accessories, jewelry, childrens toys, furniture, and sporting goods. On Friday they have a happy hour sale from 4 to 8 where everything is half off. They also have additional discounts during coupon, customer appreciation, and senior citizen days. The store doesnt give off the best impression. Like items are grouped together but not in an attractive way. I didnt think the prices were all that great either. A set of China with no cups was $200. When I thrift I am looking for an unexpected treasure or a bargain. I found neither here.

I went there on 12/11/2020I was looking through the aisles I witnessed not once but twice an employee removed his mask to then sneezed in his hand and proceeded to touch every single purse item in the store that is disgusting unsanitary and I wish there was a lower rate that I could give this place I was so upset that unfortunately left all my things and walked out of the store no longer feeling safe when told the manager she simply brushed me off and made it seem like it was nothing kind of seemed very irritated I will never be returning to the store I always love to go in there and shopping there but in this time of covid she should take this more seriously and should also reprimand her employees not asking for her to discipline him in front of me but go leave and speak to him.

Was aware that the hats in the bins were 3 for 1.50 so I picked 3 liked and got cashed out to find out one has an security alarm on it so I went back up to the cashier to find out that the hat I picked out was a 7.99 hat and was not part of the deal. I did as i was told and picked the hats out of the box to be told that I cant have that hat now even though it wasnt my mistake and the cashier sold it to me. The cashier then blamed me and told me I didnt pick it from the box which was a lie then she told me I knew it wasnt one of the hats and accused me of tucking in the security tag. I dont work there so I dont know how the hats work so it was rude of her to excuse me of that and not give me the hat for there mistake. I asked for some of my money back since I didnt want any more of the hats in the bin and she was rude giving me 50 cents back like... wont be going again

We found everything we needed, and then some. Found a brand new yoga mat worth $70 on amazon, got it for $5 here. Got a nice big rug for my living room for $30, it’s perfect and so much cheaper than buying brand new when it looks and feels exactly the same. Came in this store not expecting much, came out a happy camper!

This is a thrift store that has been around for a long time and has undergone an amazing transformation. It is under new management. Not only have they added changing rooms but they have cleaned and straightened the entire store. They have one of the friendliest and helpful staffs now, that ive seen in almost any store. You will see them in the store straightening up and adding merchandise throughout the day. They also have an app that allows you to earn points, that can be used on future purchases. If you dont want the app you can still add your phone number to receive points and special sales that are good for the day you receive. If you didnt like your experience in the past, give them a chance. I think you will be satisfied. American thrift keep up the great work and thank you.

I am giving 5 stars because I LOVE the store. I have been shopping there since its inception. I know everyone and feel at home. BUT...today is Monday and I wanted to get the Monday deal of $5.00 off for every $25.00 spent. I l left my coupon at home. I asked to speak with the manager. A new guy whom I have never met. I introduced myself and told him that I am a LONG time customer and explained the situation. This person could not be bothered. He looked like he was counting the seconds until he could walk away from my simple request. He just didnt care at all and was rude to me. All I was asking is to get the deal that is given on Mondays and to please do me a favor and override the system on the computer and give me the discount. After all...my bill was $117.05 before the tax. He wouldnt do it. At that point it wasnt the $ anymore. It was HIS OBNOXIOUS FACE AND ATTITUDE AND HOW LITTLE HE CARED ABOUT A CUSTOMER! Whether someone is spending $5, $50 or $500...a manager should care and give good customer service. I was only asking for the deal that is given on Monday...even though my coupon was at home. If I were is Bloomingdales or Saks Fifth Avenue...ANY employee would have given the coupon...except this stupid manager. Everyone is an asset to American Thrift in Hollywood EXCEPT for this manager.

Couldve been 5 stars if they had more space! But this place is literally spectacular. They have womens clothing, mens clothing, furniture, a whole section for shoes, electronics, jewelry, and another huge section for bags & books. Its amazing what you can find. Always grab a cart when you walk in, once theyre gone youre stuck holding your items!!

I went to American Thrift today....Kudos! 😊Great job on new look. Hadnt been there in a while. I find many great deals and the prices are excellent. I find many of the designer brands that I love at an extremely reasonable price.

I used to not be a huge fan of thrift stores, but I do love this one! There are always little gems and treasures waiting to be discovered. It can get a little crowded and chaotic in there, but thats part of the charm for me.I especially love the special occasion dress section and the furniture department where I have found some great pieces for phenomenal prices.

Theyre getting WAY too expensive. Need to get a grip. Its a thrift store! Prices are like Ross or Marshalls on a lot of things. That said, you can still find some decent things if you look hard enough. They used to be better. Lower the darn prices!

I had a terrible experience with an employee named Antonio he is very disrespectful and defiant with customers.I was trying on shoes, and putting them back on the shelf, I happened to place a pair back facing the wall and he yells at me Maam put the shoes back the correct way!, he started arguing with me and told me I was a bad customer! You know? Honestly I never make a mess in a store and Im the one always criticizing that, there where shoes everywhere on the floor but he was pointing my mistake of placing them the wrong way.Im very hurt by the action of that kid, I hope he learns some day to be respectful and courteous to customers.I wanted to point this to Rebecca the manager but she wasnt around....Before leaving the store he was looking at me laughing like he was proud of the argument we had, Im very sorry because I love that store, the prices and quality are the best for a thrift store, but I would never go back or send anybody to shop there.

The guys there harassed my wife, rushing her to get out of the store then offered to have someone deliver a piece of furniture she was there to buy, the guy asked her how much should he pay to deliver it. He had no set price and no professionalism, she could tell these guys were scammers by they way they spoke down to her. They are quite lucky I was not with her!

I cant say enough good things about this store I have been a faithful shopper for over 18 years buying all my dress work clothes and shoes along with my childrens .I have also furnished my homes with beautiful well built furniture .The store is kept clean and does not smell new /lightly used merindice is is put out all day long non stop.The management are people pleasers. All the store team work so well together always welcome you and really work hard to help you.The prices are fair and below most .

Too much packed on hangers. Used to be better. Ok if you just want to browse. Prices are too high for items that are used. Clothing bargains can be found if you can stand there and get pushed aside by workers and other shoppers. The handicap walkway is far from the entrance. I would really like to know how much really goes to Breast Cancer.

My FAVORITE thrift store to go to. I find all of my favorite clothes here. prices are very cheap and affordable! only downside is that it is pretty dusty/messy and there are no fitting rooms, just mirrors

This is the most disgusting store Ive ever seen. I saw a rat in the restroom and a small roach inside a coat. This store is too far from its competitors; Goodwill, Salvation Army. Most employees treat customers poorly.

I am not a fan of this thrift store. I found the staff to be rude and unwilling to provide customer service for the exception of one young lady. After I made my purchase I asked if I could have one of the employees unlock the restroom door so I could use it. When I finished and stepped out I overhear hear the employee and the manager speaking in Spanish accusing me of being a shoplifter because I was walking around with a small backpack. I confronted them and showed them my purchase with receipt. I was offended on more than one level and I will never come back.

Always lots of stuff to choose from. Need to have triceps of steel to search through all the racks since clothing is sorted by type and color and not by size. Fitting room closes like an hour before the store.

Eh. The employees are grumpy and the prices arent THAT great. Most of the furniture that I saw belongs in a dump. Kitchenwares were dirty and beat. Clothes were basic. Bought NOTHING!

Went to store in Lauderhill but still return to your store. new arrangement and the way you have changed the presentation of merchandise does not make you my favorite thrift store any more You wont be my first choice to shop any more. This store is not anymore what it was before. I found an item with the brand new tag and the store tag on it, priced with 0.99 cents. The cashier told me it was not the right price. They write the price and the one on the tag was a printed price. WTH is that? I was not able to buy it.
