Nice place for shopping I love all prices and clean supermarket at Holyoke plaza

Friendly staff and now a wider variety of breads( Sara lee, Freihofer, Thomas and Arnolds) and entenmanns baked goods.

I came here with my girlfriend and her parents to go shopping for food. The parking lot is big with handicap parking and handicap accessible entrance. The floors are clean and the items are stacked nicely on the shelves. The staff were nice to us. They still have signs up saying to keep 6 inches apart from eachother and wear mask. But if you are vaccinated you dont have to wear a mask. They sell frozen foods, cereal, cookies, snacks, cakes, coffee, ect.

I really like the store. The employees are always really nice, and the food is substantially cheaper than at competing stores. The only thing I dont like about it is they often only have one checker on and you have to wait a while in line. But if you can accept that, its a good place to go for dairy especially. Its not a ritzy place, but the cheap prices and the nice employees go a long way!

If you want to pick up the basics and then some for fantastic cheap, this is your place! Gallons of milk for under $1.50, deals on all the staples and Ive left with 8 bags filled for under $60! A little understaffed, but who isnt these days?

Employee made me take my groceries out that the lane was closed but the light was still on! So i go to the next lane then she picks up a customer with less things and coupons! Serves her right that it took her longer to ring him up other than me!

Bought 3 bags of sweet onions to make French onion soup 2 days ago and they were all bad 😞

I went to Save-A-Lot in Holyoke, MA to get some pork and lunch meat. When I got there it was easy enough to find what I was looking for at a reasonable price. The pork was $1.99 a pound and the lunch meat was a half pound of salami @ $2.99. The one problem that I have and it maybe thats the time that I end up going there, is that the lines are always long but in this case they got a backup cashier and the line then split in half and the wait was much shorter. I do recommend going there but just let it be known that you may have to wait in line a bit longer than some other places.

To manny people and only 1 cashier

This place is definitely what it says it is and that is you definitely save a lot. There is no way I can fill my cart the way I have here and do the same at Stop and Shop and spend the same. I bought a gallon of whole milk for $1.99 and at Stop and shop its $3.99 what a difference in price. You can not bring the cart to your car but there is a place you can drive your car upto so you can load your car. You do need to pay for your bags which are very cheap and bag your own groceries. Ususally I try to leave my bags in the trunk of the car. They do have a public bathroom however i have had someone walk since its in the back of store. I highly recommend this store if you enjoy a good variety for cheaper prices and love a good deal then this is the store for you!!

Store has been there for years and theres a reason why. One of the best stores if youre on a budget but still want to get brand name things as well as the basic needs grocery wise. They have fresh baked Spanish bread delivered to them every morning! The only small off-putting thing is you have to pay for bags to put your groceries in, my advice is just bring some yourself💁‍♀️

Conveniently located down the street from my house. My go to for any last minute needs or a quick run in for some light shopping. Cheap prices, really allows me to stretch my budget.

You definitely save money. However I wish they had more of a selection. You really can only make the same few dishes.The bread and some dairy (like sour cream) can be iffy with quality. AND MAKE SURE YOUR CHECKING THE DATES!I get treated differently depending on whos working, what time of month i go and what Im wearing. Holyoke has definitely showed me that their is a lot of prejudice towards Light skinned woman.Three stars because its just blah. Mixed experiences. Prices are definitely low though.

This place is a great place to shop but there are people always asking for money outside and if you plan on working here don’t the manager is very rude and doesn’t bother to learn his employees names.

The cashiers and other employees are great. The one manager, older white male is extremely rude and far from helpful. Hes actually very unprofessional and speaks to his employees with such disregard for there feelings. And he does it in a packed store customers watching which should never happen.

The store has absolutely no carriages four carriages in the whole store ridiculous I came here a month ago they told me they ordered new karts obviously that was a lie

Holyoke location is always managed well. Very happy to be back in MA with access to a local sav a lot. My sav a lot in Venice Florida was closed over the summer of 2018. Very sad

Grateful prices and choices. You cannot bring cart to your car. That is the only downfall.

Food is cheap always check the expiration to see if your food is gratons plan on spending hours there especially on the 1st or the 3rd they never have enough cashiers and the lines go from the cashier and wrap around to the back of the store sometimes twice

Im especially a big fan of the bakery they have amazing treats especially those banana nut muffins not only that but the whole store has outstanding prices I save alot of money on my groceries and so do my friends and family if it aint save alot it aint for me...ive been to many grocery stores and this one has been the number one store I can always count on to save money everyday...

What a dump. The cheapest, crappiest products, left in their shipping boxes and plopped on the shelves. The products they sell are all processed junk, with a few sorry looking vegetables and fruit. Save-A-Lot is just taking advantage of the poverty and ignorance of their customers to sell them the ultimate high-priced crap. Save-A-Lot doesnt t even carry name brand products unless its junky, sugary cereal or candy. Then they have the nerve to charge for their plastic bags. Avoid at all costs. In fact, avoid this whole town.

When I need something and I dont want to break the bank I go to Sav -a-lot. The only drawback is that they never have enough check out tellers. On my last visit to the Holyoke store someone who was stocking the shelves, stopped and opened another register. I never seen that happen in the Springfield store. The Springfield store can have very long lines. There seems to be less waiting times in Holyoke and in the Indian Orchard location.
