I was looking for the Hoka Bondi 7 shoes that was closer to my address. The store was very clean with an open outlay and I was greeted as soon as I entered by Tyler. They were very helpful with making sure I had the sizing that was comfortable for me. Once everything was finished I checked out at the register and was excited to walk out with my new shoes in hand. Yes, I would recommend shopping at this store to my family and friends.

Once again, the helpful understanding staff helped us through a painless exchange. Cant remember being any nicer when exchanging items. 1st class service and products.

This is a very good outdoors store that actually still stocks a good bit of gear, not just overpriced clothes with North Face or Patagonia written on them (although there is plenty of that upstairs). Staff can be hit or miss as far as knowledge level, but always helpful and friendly. Good selection of camping/backpacking gear, fair selection of climbing gear.

Amazing Customer Service! I was looking for a hat that has been discontinued with very few stores left in the country who carry it. I contacted Alabama Outdoors about it (as it was only available in stores but I live out of state)The manager actually had the hat shipped to their distribution office so that they could sell it to me online and mail it to me.Amazing! You rarely see customer service this great from any store. Im really impressed and will continue to shop here online. Thanks again!

I really enjoy shopping at Alabama Outdoor..this is the best store for high end outdoor clothing and equipment. The staff is second to none. They are very knowledgeable and professional. They are ever pushy and Are not overbearing. They have a great variety of everything. No wonder they have been around the longest and will be here when everybody else is gone. They are so much better than Mountain High Outfitters.

By far the best Alabama Outdoors in the Birmingham area. I went in to look at, not purchase, some ÓN pants and shoes, and the staff is always so friendly I bought some shoes. They gave a great selection, and even the people at REI at the Summit recommend them for any of your outdoors need .

Lots of products at prices that are to be expected. Fortunately they have lots of seasonal close out deals and made buying several things very cheap for the quality. Great atmosphere and friendly and knowledgeable staff. I will be back for other outdoor clothing and supplies I need.

I’ve seen sales online that lead me Alabama Outdoors. Once I walked in, I saw the place was 2 Floors, both jam packed with merch!Downstairs, they have equipment, climbing, camping, traveling, bags, backpacks, even cooking tools for camping out.This place really is your one stop shop if you’re looking for high end very good quality products and clothes.Some of the prices in there are really high, but of great quality! (Now I think I understand why women walk around in leggings....some were $78! They feel like silk and probably make every body type look fab- but I’m not someone who can afford those prices.)If I did have all the money in the world to spend on outdoor leisure, this is the place to go.They do have sales, some t shirts, tank tops were on sale for $15, and they were having a major sale with items 30%, 40% and 60% off.The shoe selection was impressive as I wanted at least 5 pair.The employees were very nice and attentive, Braydon, Mason and a nice lady checked on me and talked to me.Too bad the rock wall isn’t being climbed. They said they stopped it years ago, for insurance reasons.I wonder if the owner has private parties where folks can climb?Basically very cool Outdoor Shop and I wish I had money to spend there.

Informative and helpful staff. Even though they did not have what I came for, the sales staff was able to help me find a workable solution. AO is first on my list for all my outdoor needs.

Good place to visit if you are looking for a good selection of outdoor gear. Some of the prices are high compared to the same products at some other stores. They do have some great sales at times.

John was super helpful and friendly. Went in for a new pair of climbing shoes. In and out in thirty minutes, confident in my purchase and excited to go back!

Everyone was very nice. I was looking for information around sub zero camping. I was not able to get a lot of info, of course this is alabama so perhaps thats why. Their proces are very high.

I love this spot. They have tents set up for demo, and sleeping bags spread out on the walls. Most places just dont have the space to adequately display all of the gear, but this AO does. Great selection of packs as well. Gear selection wise, this is the closest youll find to an REI in alabama.

Overpriced like most stores such as this but you get a great selection of camping and backpacking gear as well as helpful and what seems like knowledgeable staff. you can browse and check everything out before purchases unlike Amazon and Ebay.

Poor customer service. I went in store to buy a $200-$300 jacket. Was only customer and there were 4 employees there. After walking around the store for 15 minutes looking for a jacket, not one employee asked if I needed any help, so I left. People dont care about customers and wonder why online shopping is killing their business.

Called the store looking for a certain pair of Salomon shoes, was on hold for the whole 25 minutes it took to get there. When I show up, they dont have the right shoe. Then the manager tells me that trussville store has that exact shoe Im looking for in my size. So I fight Christmas traffic all the way to trussville, only to be told that they dont have that shoe, and dont even carry it. Spoke with manager at trussville and he was of no help. Just sorry, Merry Christmas. I will be returning all of my alabama outdoors shirts and getting my money back because Im not going to walk around advertising for this company, only to put other customers in the same boat. No thanks.
