This was my first time at this salon and with Amy. Amy is the owner at Sol Beso but it didn’t stop her from spending extra time with me before she took over and worked her magic. I have curly hair and had a lot of gray root growth and several different colors to try to work with and correct. She wanted to know the history of my hair, what I like and don’t like and what my hair goals are. Then she spent even more time explaining what my options were and we discussed the best plan. She uses high-quality products and follows up on satisfaction. I love the cut and color outcome. I am going back to her from now on. I highly recommend Amy if you are looking for a new hair artist.

My experience is total professional, Ive tanned here, my wife gets her hair done here regularly (and she is picky) Amy is always pleasant and upbeat...I take total offense that someone would leave a derogatory comment please leave your unproven comments about drugs, were you using them with her? NO, maybe she was having a bad day physically. Small business owner, single mom and is making a legit business.Go for it Amy!!!

When you find a great stylist— you hold onto them! Amy is the best and a master with blondes. My hair always looks amazing when I leave her chair and she creates the prettiest shades while keeping the integrity of my hair. Beyond the hair, she’s so funny and thoughtful and I love the time I get to spend at the salon. She’s put a lot of thought into the comfort of her customers (not sitting them directly in front of the mirrors to have to stare at yourself the whole time, TVs to watch during appointments, drinks are always offered) and I recommend her to everyone looking for a stylist. You’re in excellent hands with Amy!

Went to Sol Beso and Amy did my hair. I have to tell you she worked some magic on my hair. She is amazing!!! The texture of my hair was unbelievable. Great cut also. So many compliments from friends .Ive gone to a couple of Salons in Portsmouth. Real fancy ones that did a decent job. But Amy was the best And the only one I returned to. From a very fussy customer!!!

I should have paid more attention to all the negative comments on here and on Groupon. I purchased a groupon for highlights for this place and thought it was a good deal. I called and left a voicemail expecting to be called back. Nothing. I reached out again the next day. Still nothing. I even sent an email asking to set up an appointment. Never heard a word back from multiple attempts to contact, meanwhile the owner is posting daily on the businesses Facebook account. Guess they dont care about getting new customers then...so unprofessional. Why post an available groupon to buy if you arent going to return peoples calls or emails?? Stay away from this place...luckily groupon refunded my money and Ill be going elsewhere.

Amy is incredible! My best friend and I decided to get last minute spray tans for her wedding. We had a serious time crunch but Amy made sure to accommodate us last minute when she had a full day of appointments!! She is a perfectionist and noticed my pores were open so she turned down the spray gun so my spray tan would come out even without any pore clogging. The tan was BEAUTIFUL and I was glowing. I’m definitely going back! 5 Stars - Well deserved!

Best tanning experience ever! Felt completely comfortable with Amy. She was very professional and I am very pleased with the results! Very natural looking tan!

I got a practice spray tan for my wedding and it was awesome. It could be an uncomfortable experience because youre basically naked with someone spraying every part of your body, but I felt COMPLETELY comfortable and it wasnt awkward at all. Amy is very professional and I love that the spray tan is organic so youre not getting all of these chemicals. She is also coming in on her day off to give me my spray tan before my wedding, which is super professional of her to do. When I got my first spray it dried almost immediately and I only had to wait a few hours before rinsing it off. Thank you!

I don’t believe the bad reviews I’ve seen for this salon. I’ve been going here since Amy took ownership. They are polite and it’s a great place with a nice atmosphere. I have always been afraid to let someone new do my hair due to bad experiences in the past but gave Amy a try. I LOVE my new color and cut is perfect!!! She took her time talking with me about what I wanted and she wanted to get it right. They are professional and always make you feel comfortable. So glad I started going there... I won’t go anywhere else!

Awe experience!! This was my first ever spray tan and she was great! Super personable, great prices, and fantastic tan overall!! Don’t tan a lot but will never go to anybody else!!

I purchased a groupon about 10 days ago and had been calling, leaving voicemails, and requesting via their website with no luck. Finally I went inside to try to schedule my spray tan. I am leaving for vacation in 4 days and asked if they could accommodate that which she just interrupted me and rudely stated shes out two weeks. When I asked why my calls werent returned - she said she didnt get any. Which would be fine if she at least tried to provide some customer service and if she was nicer Id leave the credit for future use but MAN was she rude!! No sorry or lets figure something out. Simply brushed me off. Horrible!

As I read only a few bad reviews, it makes me wonder if these reviews are actually real or someone being spiteful. I have been seeing Any since she opened her doors. She has always been professional and honest. Her spray tans are amazing and they are organic so not sure how someone could really get a burn from an all natural product. I go tanning as well and the beds are always clean. Amy also does my hair and does a fabulous job and her prices cant be beat. She is a woman of many talents and strives for perfection. Most of all she is real and will always be honest with you.

I called ahead to ask when was the best time to get a spray tan for my wedding and they said the night before. So going by their advice I made an afternoon appointment, paid in advance, and arrived early to the salon- which was CLOSED with no explaination. Sol Beso stole my money, wasted my time, and created unneeded stress

Do not go here for a spray tan! The formula gave me 3rd degree burns and i had to be hospitalized. . The owner is a junky and a scumbag and very rude! Save your money and go someplace reputable and not run by a bunch of junkies. LOSERS

For decades Ive been looking for someone to color my hair without making it orange. NO business was able to accomplish that. Amy said with confidence that she could give me the EXACT color I wanted. I was Still skeptical. While doing my hair we talked about everything! Lol! I was thinking, I hope my hair comes out the way I want it because shes a real genuine person and theres no bull about her. My hair came out PERFECT!! Today I got a spray tan,(which she is a perfectionist). Its beautiful and natural!! Next Im going to get a tint and lift for my lashes. I never wanted to spend money on myself because the services from other places never lived up to their hype. But, now I cant wait to get pampered more. She really loves her work and takes pride in the fact that she can bring these services to people at a much lower price than other salons of her quality. I can tell you that the quality of the services would cost you much more at other salons. I can write that because I know shes not going to raise the rates just because I said that lol. Go check it out for yourself. Im telling you, youll be telling all your friends about her and her place! Thank you so much Amy!!!

Came here to get my hair done ali was great but the owner amy maybe me very uncomfortable. She shushed me while I was trying to tell her I liked what she was doing with someones hair, she was in and out of the bathroom like she was jonsin for drugs or something. She told my friends daughter to turn down her show that was keeping her occupied and was over all rude and made me feel out of place

Very unhappy with this salon. I booked a hair appointment and called the morning of to confirm my appointment. Went in for my appointment and then was told she didn’t have me in the book for that day. Was very angry as I took the day off from work to go get my hair done and I never even received a sincere apology from her.I Will never book another hair appointment there again.
