I buy lots of Ralph Lauren & Vineyard Vines for my 2 boys here. Everything is in excellent condition. I love the shoe selection on the womens side too. I recently sold to Then again for the 1st time. It was fast and easy and she pays fair prices, much better than other similar places Ive tried. I have another load to take soon and Im excited to see whats new in the store.

They have awesome clothes at very low prices. My sons mother buys a lot of his clothes there and its nothing but quality merchandise. The owner is very thorough when purchasing items. This insures quality clothing. My son LOVES going there to visit Stacy. He has been like that since he was a little child. Great consignment store.

I have been shopping at Then Again since 1998! They have up to date clothing and have it organized by size and color! They also have a kids area for your child to watch t.v. and play with toys. I love shopping there because you can shop several different stores and brands all in one place. The owner is picky about what merchandise she takes - so everything is in great shape. I would say this is the best place to shop in Birmingham!

This is absolutely my FAVORITE store in town! Consignment or retail! Then again is always the first place I look when I am looking for something for my kids or myself. The owner is always nice and helpful, but lets you look around without bugging you. I can not say enough good things about this store!

Took my wife here. They had some nice brand name things. Unfortunately, my wife couldnt find a dress in her size with the correct length that she liked.

Extremely picky on buying clothes! I had so much stuff! Very nice clothing and dresses. Most of it never worn with tags and expensive from Macys. But all she says to me was you have mostly Carters clothes and we dont want those Which was a complete lie! Plus... I looked around the store. I wouldnt buy anything there. Very overpriced (most things cost more than you could buy new) and dust covered everything.

Very inflexible. Although it says on website 10:00-12;00 for accepting clothing, I called in advance at 11:45 and said I might not be able to make it until 12:30 and was told they stopped abruptly at noon accepting clothes. LOL. There must be a huge lunch rush.Yes, I understand a business must have rules, but in my opinion this is very poor customer service. Excellent customer service would make a small exception in order to let a new consignor know that their business was welcome. Apparently mine is not, so I will not be doing business with Then Again, and will be sure to pass along my experience with Then Again, to friends who consign.

Love, love, love this store!! I can find the same boutique clothing I see in new stores for half the price! They also have great deals on clothing for my son!! I definitely recommend Then Again to all my friends!!

They are way to over priced for a consignment store! I can go buy brand new clothes for what they charge. Also the lady in there wasnt very helpful or friendly! She stayed on her cell phone talking most of the time that I was there. I will never go back!!!!

This place has a few peices that are nice but most of the store is overcrowded with worn and outdated clothing. The childrens selection was pathetic. And the owner and her employees are extremely rude. When bringing in items to be consigned she just heaps the clothes in wrinkled piles and offers pennies on the dollar for the clothes she decides she wants to consign. There is a little thing called customer service and this place needs to be educated in that area and apply it to the store. I doubt I will ever try to consign or shop there again.

I recently stopped by Then Again in Hoover to have some nice dress clothes and formal wear reviewed and had everything on hangers as respectfully requested on their site and was very disappointed in the way in which the management responded to our items. We had some nice name-brand clothing, with some being worn maybe once or twice. Without scanning through more than 5-6 articles of clothing, the owner quickly let us know those kind of clothes (Juniors & up) werent her niche. I was surprised, but understood until I went in the store and saw her counterpart folding cheap looking clothes she had just pulled from a bin. I was going to take the items that Then Again turned away to Hannah Home because I figured that would be the easiest thing to do. Anyhow, I ended up taking them to Consigned Design in Alabaster and they accepted about 95% of what Then Again had turned away. Bottom line, I would never do business with Then Again and am here to sing the praises of Consigned Design as their customer service and overall business platform seems to be more streamlined and professional. Dont waste your time taking gently used clothes (of any age) to Then Again in Hoover.

Used to really love this place. Its just ok now. Not sure what the deal is... but we have been here several times and each time we have overheard snobby/rude conversations coming from the employees. They need to work on being genuinely kind or practice the if you cant say anything nice, dont say anything at all, especially in front of your customers..It leaves a bad taste and makes ppl uncomfortable to have to listen.

So im a teen that wanted some money so i can go shopping for my next school year and to help my parents out with some money i decided to give some of my unwanted clothes to the consignment shop. so they only accept clothes on tues-thurs and my parents was like in oreder to get money and them wanting your clothes go wash them and iron them and fold tthem neatly. so it took me all day and night to wash these clothes because it was three bags of clothes. then i was happy i was done washing them so i started iroing them. mind you this is monday night because i wanted have every thing perfect. so on the day of bringing my FRESH WASHED CLOTHES AND IRONED COLTHES to then again i was happy and i called to let them know i was coming. so onced i showed one o the ladies it was three baskets of clothing so was like great let me sit on the couch and look throuh them so i was excited. MIND YOU I HAD THINGS FROM JUSTICE,BELKS JCPENNYS AND RUE 21 so the lady was like we already have things like this in the store and i asked her SO ALL THESE U DONT WANT NOTHING and she was like yes. so me even though im a teen but my feelings was kind of hurt because i put all my effort into this and i didnt get anything. so as a good person i just took it to hannah home for someone else to get goo value out of it. I FELT LIKE THE COULD HAVE TOOK SOMETHING IN STEAD OF JUST SAYING WE DONT WANT NOTHING. this happen last summer of 2014 and its the summer of 2015 and i want to get some money again and no i have some polo and holister but i will not go there becuase of want they did. BUT GO THERE IF YOU WANT IM NOT STOPING YOU JUST DONT PUT ALL YOUR EFFORT INTO SOMETHING AND YOU DONT GET ANYTHING.

Ive read some of the previous reviews and I dont know what some of you are complaining about! Im assuming the lady who buys the clothes didnt take half of your clothes and so your mad. Let me give a REAL review of this store. If you want NAME brands, not walmart and target, but name brands like White House Black Market, Ann Taylor Loft, Chicos, Miss Me, Limited, Gap, Banana Republic, Anthropology, ect... This is the place for you! The womens clothes are trendy and up to date. The store is very picky about what they take...I would know since i sell stuff there all of the time. The childrens clothing is excellent. Lots of boutique clothing and trendy clothing for children that are age appropriate. Sure you can buy a walmart outfit for $15 (if your lucky) or you could buy your child a gymboree, gap or boutique outfit for the same price! The staff in this place are not rude they are real! Real people who have real conversations and love to get to know their customers. I have been a customer at this shop for 15 years! They know my husband and my children by name! How is that rude? If you want a real consignment shop, NOT a THRIFT store then go try this place out. If your looking for walmart and target stuff marked at $1, go to a thrift store...oh wait...thrift stores cost more than that!
