Thank you to the pharmacist and tech who noticed irregularities in my sons prescriptions written from the ER as well as from a telehealth physician. He was shorted on three out of three medications and this was first noticed by the tech and explained by the pharmacist in detail. I was able to get the correct medication dosages from his follow-up with his pediatrician but my son had to suffer due to not having the steroid he needed to fight an infection because I wasnt given enough initially. At least I knew what to do for him until I could visit a THIRD doctor to get this fixed.
If I could leave no stars, I would. The pharmacy is HORRIBLE‼️‼️‼️…Prescriptions are never filled in a timely manner and always have to be expedited. The pharmacy techs are rude. I understand businesses are short of help, but you don’t have to be rude while doing your job.
First pharmacy is terrible !!!!! I know many businesses are short of help, but regardless of what happening I shouldnt be kept on hold for almost an hour. Then is my medicine needed a Dr. Approval for refill I wasnt sent a notification. I have been will Cvs for many years, NJ CVS are ten times better. Corporate needs to fix ASAP.
I cannot thank the manager on duty enough! Dee Dee listened to my story of the doctor on call trying to call Walgreens and another CVS and not being able to get through - the doc had tried in the morning and in the afternoon to get an antibiotic called in for me for a sudden onset UTI - and no one could help - this was the 3rd place we tried. The doc was so frustrated that he gave me his cell # and I asked the manager if the pharmacist could call him - and he did! I am so thankful to start on this med this weekend so I do not have to miss work - I am a teacher and there are NO subs - thank you CVS of Hopewell!!!!
I dont know where CVS gets its generic medications from but I went from paying $20 for Metformin and Glimepiride to paying $70 Metformin and Atorvastatin. I told my doctor about the cost of my medication and he informed me that Metformin is a generic medication and the average cost is $4 and the average cost of the Atorvastatin was $15. I had my medications transferred from CVS to the Walmart Pharmacy and I paid $19 for both of them. FYI CVS, price gouging is illegal. Keep doing what you doing see what happens.
This pharmacy is horrible after my husband has been taking his seziure medication he had 2 seizures 2 days apart took. Notice the imprint on the pills and it was the wrong medication!!!!!! We will be sueing !!!
I went through the drive through at the CVS on Oaklawn Blvd to pick up a prescription and the short white male was very rude and had an attitude. Yes I understand it’s probably been a busy day and it was a 10 mins before closing but there was no need for the rudeness. Didn’t even say have a good night simply gave me my prescription and walked away.
So at first I thought it was only me but after reading the reviews I realized it wasn’t. I don’t for the life of me understand why I can call in rx refill two days before and it will not be ready? However I don’t call an rx in because I am not low on it and they fill it when it’s not due? The excuse is the same we’re short staffed call outs. I get that but two days? Then they expedited for me and I still wait. I depend on my meds. They are honestly being reckless with people lives. Some people depend on the medication to survive. It’s a shame. Go to Hometown! Support local
No reason why a prescription for an antibiotic is sent by the doctor at 10:30 am and you cant get it 25 hours later!!! They say it will still be a few hours.
Worst pharmacy in the area drive thru is always close, im in line inside 20 people in front of me, they never have the medication ready on time DO NOT USED THIS PHARMACY IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICES IN THE AREA
Will tell you your prescription is filled then when you get there they say they’re going to need another 30 minutes
5 people working in the pharmacy, an not a single one can acknowledge you standing in line for a pick up…..
My doctor sent my prescription over at 1030am I gave them until 1pm and called to check the status. They told me about 2 hours it would be ready. I called back 3 hours later and at first they got me confused with someone else and they told me that they havent filled it and it would be about 2 hours til its ready. If you want getting your medication to be an all day affair then this is the pharmacy to use. (New Update: unfortunately this is the only place that has my prescription. Last refill took 4 days for them to fill. They will not answer the phone for nothing. I asked them why they dont answer and they said they are just too busy. SMH! After 4 days I went in to see what was going on and they told me there was an issue with insurance but they would have it ready in a few hours. 4 hours later.. I got it. Why do I have to visit the store twice a month for one prescription? There is always the same excuse. There is an issue or they are just busy, but if I go there they will have it in the next 2 to 4 hours. Worst store ever.
Let me start off and say this I love Cvs I have been a faithful customer since 2000 when I move to Prince George it all want downhill I will just speak on my recent experience because there are so many but I was diagnosed with covid on the 12 of April I have been back and forth to CVS EVERY DAY since the 12 to pick up medicine that is never ready but the Audacity to have a attitude because I waited in line and it wasn’t ready is beyond me and to tell me I need to come back because it won’t be filled until the next day is absurd I don’t see how your a pharmacy and have so many unprofessional unapologetic individuals working in on area the you man was very rude yesterday and had a chip on his shoulder today needless to say I still haven’t received my meds yet and they only offer a apology not good enough Cvs shame on you covid is killing ppl and you can’t even give us what we need you might need to rethink keeping this location open
Prescriptions never ready. Doctor send in RX and 9hrs later still not ready. Changing to local hometown drug.
Called for refills on Thursday morning. They told me they would have them ready in 2 hours. I told them I would pick up Friday at 12 get there Friday at 12 not ready we can get them in 2 hours. This has happened multiple times
Prescriptions are never filled in a timely manner, despite doing it online. Always have to call or else nothing will get filled....2-3 hours for one script is crazy!!! Theres one now that has been in process for the last FOUR DAYS! 🙄👎
Prescription called in at 12 oclock and 8 and a 1/2 hours later still not filled
My insurance changed my diabetes supply January 1st. I went from Verio Reflect One Touch to Contour Next One. I contracted COVID and could not pick up my prescriptions. I asked CVS to PUT ALL CONTOUR PRODUCTS ON HOLD UNTIL JANUARY 1st. On the 22nd I was given Verio test strips and Contour lancets. My wife tried to return or exchange and they said no. Because the clerk didnt place a stop on all the Contour the last prescription was honored. My wife thought it was trash and threw away, We didnt know until the meter was sent a week later that the lancets were for the new meter. We bought some the supplies of the shelf costing us more money. The store would not eat the cost of the lancets even though it was their mistake. I called customer service and they did nothing. Both blamed on my wife and wanted me to call my insurance and get it fixed. AGAIN THEIR MISTAKE. This has not been the first, but will be the last. Transferring all my prescriptions to KROGER. My doctor told me due to my high glucose number I needed to test 4 times a day. I guess I have to do without until I can get this straight. If it is 4x times a day for 30 days and it was incorrectly filled on December 22nd and the box was a 100...why is the next refill February 17th. They cannot even do basic math. LOST MY BUSINESS. I guess the $845.00 we spent last year was not worth correcting a mistake. PLACED MY HEALTH OVER A BOX OF LANCETS. Lancets I paid twice for...once for the original and once for over the counter purchase.
I wish I wouldve read these reviews before I scheduled my covid test. My appointment was at 12:30, got here at 12:05. Well its 12:45 and they serviced 2 cars. I still got 4 cars ahead of me!! Im going to be sitting here for hours and Im sick.DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT SOMEWHERE ELSE.ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS
Terrible service...an hour and a half before closing and they told me I shouldnt expect it until the next day?? For Motrin 800mg and Peridex??? Are you kidding me, when you are just standing around chatting about your dating life????
My family prescriptions are never filled on time. They tell us a time and when we arrive the medicine still isn’t ready, even when I give them additional hours past the pick up time. Today an employee was rude with my family member and told them the computer system is down because of an outage in Ohio. What does Ohio have to do with us? Y’all are playing with peoples lives.
Who ever fills the prescriptions is a thief and needs to be fired and banned from working in any medical field and probably charged with illegally handling controlled substances.
No one answers the phone ever. Not the pharmacy not the front counter. I called 5 times. My prescription was sent over early this morning and still hasn’t been filled after 12 hours. It’s not even busy. Selection sucks and there’s a strip club next door. Ugh.
The lady working in the evening has NO PATIENCE at all with coupons. I have to go when other cashiers are in her place. I have no other cvs near me but that one. I always, always have problems with her or she doesnt know how couponing works. Sometimes, she overcharged my items and raises her voice. Dont go there!!!
I worked as a tech at one of the busiest stores on the East Coast. There was a reason I left CVS.. these types of employees are the reason why. They retime scripts (yes I know that dirty trick).. they can never have anything on time ever. I showed up with 2 hours left till close and they said they could not fill the script that night. I came back the next day and said I would be back in a couple hours... still not filled. I came back again and FINALLY after my fiancé has been sitting at home in pain from POS, the script is filled. Lazy techs and even worse pharmacists. They always give the same excuse.. computers are down. I ran the ropes of CVS pharmacy, I know what goes on for the inside. This pharmacy is just one giant sad excuse. Get it together..
Male pharmacist is super rude when helping older non English speaker lady about her glucose tests strips. I can only imagine how they would treat a mute person. Smh y’all should either hire bilingual techs or seriously do some customer service training starting from the pharmacist to the techs.Called to ask about blood thinners that I needed to save my life coming right out the hospital and they weren’t interested at all in helping. Rude rude rude people! My mother and I Changed all prescriptions to rite aid!Pretty small and has a small selection of items. Brand new so the building smells good. Everything is kept tidy up and nice looking. Some of the ladies are forever talking to themselves. Machine wasn’t working for coupons and they didn’t stop a client from scanning card and loosing coupons.Had a nice cashier who was coupon friendly and polite and professional.
A star above the Colonial Heights VA Pickwick location pharmacy at 629 Boulevard. The last pharmacist who helped me at the 24 hour Hopewell location was friendly, competent, and prepared my prescriptions in a timely manner. He was an older white man; I think I recall him having a beard. I tried to call the pharmacy tonight (Sunday at about 11:55 p.m.) to confirm they had my prescription medication in stock before I made the 8 mile drive over there to try to get it filled, but I was on hold with the automated system for 8 minutes. I finally hung up because I had the feeling whoever is working in the pharmacy tonight was not planning on ever answering the phone. The next closest 24 hour pharmacy is the Walgreens in Northern Chesterfield on Meadowdale Boulevard which is about 17 miles away from my house. I guess I will not be getting my medication tonight. The Tri-Cities area in Central Virginia is not a very convenient nor pleasant area to live. I am stuck here because my mother lives in Petersburg, and I cannot move away to a better area because she needs me close to her to help her & because she does not have many people to rely on for help or company. Otherwise I would move far, far away from this destitute area.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER service!!!I have NEVERRRRRR had to wait 45mins for someone to answer a phone call at any Cvs! They never answer the phone and when they do THEY RUSH YOU OFF!! I’m so over All cvs’s I will be changing pharmacys ASAP
Really nice people . Always eager to help.
Disrespectful
Went to drop of my perscriptions...my pain was a 15 on a scale of 1-10 and I litterally could not walk. I was told a wait of 15 mins...ok cool I drove around front and sat there and got back in line after 15 mins...got to the window only to be told that my perscription was forgotten in the process. I was told to sit at the window and it would be another 15 mins. I sat for a hour! By then I was almost completely out of my mind in pain. The poor pharmacist came to the window and explain to me that he didnt understand why they left the night-time to only one pharmacist and that it was a lot of work! I have to agree with that one! Its absolutely ridiculous to make someone wait that long! Every time I come it does not matter what time of day there is always long Waits!
Definitely dont go here if you expect to be respected as a person. My son went in for a class party, the employees rejected to allow him to be in the store stating he is too young to be in here without a guardian, refuse to let him make his purchase.Mind you, we shop in here since it was opened the district manager did nothing for months. Despite my audio and video proof of the employee confirming she said and did that to my 11 yr son. Discrimination is certainly present even in hopewell, va! They should be banned or reprimanded by the state!
Close by and clean. Friendly
Calling the line to verify if a prescription is ready has taken over 30 mins and still no one has picked up. It is not that busy a a CVS!
Poor management. Pharmacy is understaffed for season. Some staff appear poorly trained. Not a good environment for any pharmacist.
Although the staff was pleasant, I thought that this would be a right quick visit to pick up a prescription, but it was not. Only two people working in the pharmacy.
Awesome 24 hour pharmacy!
