Dropped off my car to be checked. Got a response with pics and estimate within a great time period. Employees were friendly and professional.

This is place is down the street from me which makes it very convenient. That being said, I will go elsewhere in the future. I came in for a oil change which was reasonable priced. I have a catch can installed in my car, it’s an aftermarket part I bought to catch oil from the manifold. I had asked if they could empty that out for me. You basically unscrew it, dump any oil, and screw it back on. I thought they would know to handle it with care, instead they used pliers or something to clamp on it and scratched it. When I showed it to the man behind the counter, he didn’t feel like it was a big deal. He mentioned, “it was a small scratch”. Easy to say when you didn’t pay for it! The fact that they didn’t even try to reimburse me or be understanding of my frustration, made it even worse. I will never come back here, and I would warn others as well.

I recently moved to the area and picked Midas mostly at random but also because of the reviews; I thought why not give them a shot? I have been going here ever since. They are professional, prompt, honest, and helpful. They offer fair rates, set clear expectations for pricing and the needs of the vehicle, and are knowledgeable and informative. The biggest reason I continue to go to Midas, however, is because of their exemplary customer service. While waiting for my vehicle I observed how the staff here interacted with everyone coming in; even if they werent able to assist them themselves they helpfully pointed customer in the direction of businesses that could help them and gave helpful recommendations. Midas is my go to. Give them a shot, you wont regret it.

Took my vehicle in for a oil change and AC check they told me Schrader valves and friends refill was all I needed so I paid the 50 bucks for ac check $370 for new valves and refill of frion still blowing out hot air so they take it back in and tell me its the ac compressor which will be another $700 🤔 called a few other shops they told me $540 for a new compressor and refill.. and theyll check my ac compressor with the ac check which cost 50 bucks. 1200 midas would charge me vs another place for half im not saying theyre scamming but its definitely shady i wont be coming back to this location. oh and after that oil change my service engine light came on and it was put off as just a sensor when ive been driving this vehicle for months and no light comes on until I bring it into this shop. just all around bad experience

I went here because they have an oil change coupon for $24.99 and were available. Apparently after oil change they charged me $37. When I asked why? These are the main reasons.1. It took more oil - 1 quart more (I am aware of this. My car always does take 0.5 quarts more). So I gave them lineancy.2. There is an added Labor Cost - I am very surprised by this, as it is never been charged on a coupon at Midas. They mentioned disposal fee on the coupon. But Labor cost was not mentioned on3. The filter has to be a special kind of filter. This is absurd, as in my 8 years of owning my car and multiple oil changes, no one, I mean no mechanic mentioned I need a special filter. I even changed myself and I used a regular filter from NAPA. So this is completely a made up thing. Probably they did not have the right filter and put in something else and up charged me for it.I have seen these people arguing with a couple of customers as well, while I have been waiting for my car, and I was hoping it wont happen to me. Guess what it did.I used the same coupon at a different MIDAS in the past, and the price is much lower at $28 When I told them about it, they mentioned different franchise and tax. I would not suggest going here.At the end I should have just went to Valvoline and get the same service for the same amount, and could have been done in 15 minutes. Rather than waiting for an hour.

The is an awesome facility that was friendly and inviting the minute I walked in. They helped me take care of my car and the price value I got was awesome. The thing I loved almost as the price was the digital inspections that were sent to my text that let me know what was going on with my car. The one to one basis of how they handled everything show they are customer service focused.

It was night & day difference between the first store this one and the west end store what a nightmare bunch running that shop!

I took my car into Midas because I had a free oil change certificate and I will definitely go back! Dave the Manager, was super helpful and genuine. They made recommendations to me, but it didnt feel like a sales pitch. They honored the certificate and fixed 3 lights that were out for less than I have had one light fixed at one of their competitors. I also appreciated that they didnt talk down to me as a female. I will absolutely be going back to Midas Hopkins for oil changes and maintenance.

These people are great! Friendly and informative staff. They saved me more money than they needed to and while I was waiting on my car I watched the guy at the front desk go above and beyond to help other customers too.

I took my car to a friend to fix instead it was wayyyyyy cheaper and what Midas told me the problem was for my car was actually not the problem at all. Would of been very upset if I paid the 1,000 dollars they wanted just for it to not be fixed.

Got a flat tire on the way home from work. Pulled off the highway and saw a Midas so I pulled in to see if they could help me put my spare on. No problem at all, had my tire changed in less then 20 minutes. GREAT customer service!

One of the worst experiences of my life dealing with a foreign (Audi) diesel oil change. It is as simple as can be; you know schedule, order items, and then have the customer show up. Even though I told them the kind of vehicle what fuel it took and about the adblue on Friday, when I called in to confirm they said they have only one tech and cannot do the change and adblue refill. I talked to the manager on the day of an hour BEFORE the SCHEDULED appointment and said that he needed to get back to me in five min. He didnt call me back for another 30 min. I know it sounds like I am making a huge deal about this but I took work off so I could get this done. by the time the manager got back to me it was the time that was scheduled four days ago (9am). He then referred me to another company and said they could get it done asap with a good price. Not only did foreign auto quote me for 275 for a simple 8quart oil change and adblue refill, they also said they couldnt fit me in for five days. If you have a normal car, great take your chances here, but if you have a diesel dont even try it is a waste of time and money. What is even better is that the manager I was talking to admitted that he knew nothing about diesel trucks. I wish them the best of luck.

Worst experience I had last week . My CAR battery was dead due to cold and I had visited to replace the battery.When I was heading to home after the battery was replaced i saw that SRS and Brake lights were ON which were not there before the service.When I told them they gave vague answers.First they said it might be there before the service when I said I have photos taken before the service which I had taken for the meter reading .Now they started saying that it might have been due to dead battery.How can I dead battery ON the brake lights and SRS. They said they will check but charge for it.Why should they charge when the problem happened due to their service.They also over charged for the battery service also.Why should they check for Alternator and something else when the issue is with the battery.They charged 40$ just to check and charged separately for battery .They should have first replaced battery and see if it works.If it doesnt work than they should have charged for others. Would not recommend to anybody to visit this store.

Love this place there prices are more reasonable than most places. They got my air valves taken care of from my winter tires due to defects from ntb. They made sure my tires were done and I also went back to balance out the air in the tires the day after. They made sure I had a great experience and got the job done in a timely manner. Love management here they try there best to give you the best prices. Definitely going to come here again.

Very good experience. Got my break pads and rotors changed here, and they changed the oil for free. The manager, Chris, was very helpful and definitely seemed to give a fair price based on the work. The mechanics let me know of some stuff that I would need to get looked at down the road and seemed to honestly care about their work. Would definitely recommend for any car needs.

I came in today with squeaking brakes. Assumed the worst. They were extremely nice, quick, and it turns out my brakes didnt even need replacement yet! I love an honest shop, and will be coming here again. Highly recommend.

I take my Honda Element to Hopkins Midas for nearly everything— the few times I haven’t taken it here, I’ve deeply regretted it (to the tune of a ridiculously overpriced starter replacement at the dealership that ran into 4 digits). Jason and his team take such good care of my car, and are easy to work with and efficient and reasonably priced. I’m the sort of person who when I’m told my rotors need to be replaced says, “okay, break out the micrometer and show me,” and they’re always more than willing to let me look for myself and discuss options. I’m admittedly picky when it comes to my mechanic shops, but I can’t recommend them enough. Stellar work and value.

Just put my rims on and heard a noise coming from my rear driver wheel. The wheel was trying to lock up on me and I worried for the safety of my kids as they were in the back seat. I drove to this location at 10mph and they put me on the lift (despite me not having an appointment) and found the problem and gave me a good price to fix it. At one point there were 3 of the technicians looking at my car. This made me feel very valued. They fixed the problem within minutes. Can’t thank you guys enough for making the rest of my day.

So glad to have this place so close and so accommodating! I have relatives in town this weekend for the back to the 50s car event. Im their chauffeur. My brakes started growling last night and my guests (car guys) checked it out and asked who I would trust to do what they thought needed to be done. Called Midas this morning and they said they would do their best to fit me in if I could leave my vehicle there for a possible opening. They fixed the problem and even honored a coupon I had found online!

I went to this shop for a simple Estimate on a exhaust pipe leak. The manager (said he was the owner as well) asked first for all my personal information (name, address, phone number). I politely declined mentioning I did not want to receive promo material. He said thats fine you should take your business elsewhere.I drove up to the Plymouth Midas and all they asked for was my Name. I received the estimate quickly and they were real courteous.

First class shop. Brought in a car that we thought needed the brakes done. After getting the FREE full car inspection, I was informed that the breaks had plenty of life left. They cleaned and adjusted the rear drums for $29 and it feels a lot better now. Even received a ride home instead of taking Uber from one of their employees. Quinn and Jason took care of us well, ask for them. Highly recommended.

Fine for just an oil change. They also try to argue you with you and tell you synthetic is required in a car it is truly not. Also like to say things like you shocks and struts are going bad, even if they were just replaced a month before.

The mechanics are good but you have to watch their billing. I highly recommend getting price comparison from other shops before you take the managers word. If you decide to leave your vehicle there, have them print a quote/estimate before they start the work. And find out if there are any other feea that they assume all customers know about. If you approve, make sure you let the manager know the total on the estimate is what you expect to pay when you pick up your vehicle. Just so you wont have any $200+ surprises.

Their incompetent, plain and simple. Last Wednesday, I want there for a routine oil change, and a vehicle check up, told me they find something wrong with my car, came back on Friday they fixed it up, and then they told me there was more stuff wrong with my vehicle, I mean why didnt they find it on Wednesday ? Also they charge too much. The only good thing I can say about them, is that their friendly, otherwise, their shysters.

Midas Hopkins is the only Midas I trust all the other Midas locations will be more expensive for the same work I trust everyone working at Midas Hopkins they have done a lot for me and would always come back for any maintence repairs or any work to be done on my Jeep they have the best techs and managers than any other Midas I have visited thanks to all at Midas Hopkins

They mechanics forgot to put oil, for my oil change! True story.

Horrible Customer Service. Went for a car inspection prior to purchasing the car and were over charged for the service. Attempted for months to get the over charge corrected and was ignored. Also, were told the inspection included removal of all tires. Later we discovered that the car did not have the specific wheel lock required to take the tires off at the time of inspection. So, clearly the tires were not removed and the inspection was not completed probably at all. This Midas will do as little as possible to get as much out of their customers as possible.

They have always had great customer service. Chris is a great guy and will help you anyway he can.

My name is Carl, I had the most pleasant and satisfying experience having my car repaired at Midas in Hopkins. I would specifically like to commend Jason the store manager and Russell the technician that worked tirelessly on my car from Monday – Friday afternoon.I have a 2004 VW Passat Wagon, turbo, with 265,000 miles on it, which I got from a car auction last year. I took my car in because the service engine light was on, and symptoms included slow acceleration, engine sputtering, and abrupt shut off at stop lights and signs, and a slow air tire leak in my front left side. Jason and Russell kept me up to date via text message and phone throughout the week. The first sign in the diagnostic phase was to replace the spark plugs since they were misfiring and completely shot.After test driving, there continued to be signs of engine trouble. It turns out that I had 3 hoses and 2 valves connected to my turbo that were cut in half, causing severe vacuum leaks. Jason sent me the recommended corrections and price estimate via text and email, and I was able to talk through plausible courses of action and pricing with him. He took time to explain to everything that I didn’t understand, even if it didn’t make sense to me the first time. My overall cost of repair was over one thousand dollars. As a surprise to me, Jason and Russell also replaced my rear license plate that was previously stuck due to rusted screws attached to the trunk.When it came time to pay, it just so happens that Wells Fargo was having national database issues and my card was declined. Mind you, this is around 5pm on a Friday. First I suggested that we try to charge the balance in $500 increments. We are able to charge the first thousand dollars this way, but not eh remaining balance. Jason didn’t panic, allowed me to call Wells Fargo, and go to the local branch to get a replacement temporary debit card. During this week, I was able to drive a Midas temporary vehicle for my daily activities. This was very helpful.In conclusion, my car runs the best that it has ever run. It runs quiet, smooth, and quick acceleration thanks to the turbo boost finally working correctly. My gas mileage significantly increased and I hope to get another hundred thousand miles out of my car. I highly recommend Midas of Hopkins, and specifically Jason and Russell for their tireless efforts to customer service and satisfaction. They took an approach to fix my vehicle as if it were their own. I would like to point out, the about of dignity and respect that Jason and Russell showed me. Each interaction with me whether it be via text, phone, or in person, I was treated with the utmost respect. At no point did they ever appear agitated, frustrated, or irritated with me, my questions, my lack of understanding, or concern about expenses. Getting vehicles fixed can be stressful, if people allow it to be. They did not allow my circumstance to define this experience, and I am forever grateful. I was getting an inspection on my car to see what needed to be replaced & fixed. They charged me a load of money on top of what I should actually pay for parts & labor. How I found this out was because I called Shakopee Midas to compare the prices. Shakopee shop as a great service and there to help. Reed the manager, gave me the same deals but cheaper. Replace exhaust, water pump & timing belt was way over priced!!! Like $200 each!

Thought I needed a new bulb when all I needed was my bulb pushed back in after it fell out! They didn’t charge me and were super nice about everything!

Its good to do regular oil change and brake work there but it was very expensive to do other repair work, in fact the dealer was about $300 cheaper on my recent repair work compared to them.
