I have been coming to burn the stages for over 4 years. Since I started doing wedding planning. Their prices have reduced and their quality remains the same. The staff are friendly and they are long-lasting. The environment is like a large family and they get the job done. They are very professional I would prefer to use them over any other rental location for any of my wedding necessities.

It was awesome. Stopped in because for years I have always seen the store from the Freeway and the kid in me just had to go in today. They were really nice, we went into the lights room and got to play with all the different stage lights. He even turned on the fog machine for us. It was a cool experience. They are great people. If I ever need anything from the store in the future I will definitely come do business here.

I planned an event that needed light and music, not too big hosted at my home. I originally went here to rent equipment but I got there and we saw their inventory and decided to buy the equipment we needed instead if renting. The salesman was very professional and knowledgeable about what they offered and can do for the customer. Bought our equipment, party was a success and now I have music and lights that still entertains the kids and fit well in my lounge areas!

I wanted to buy a special speaker stand. They were out except for the one on the floor. They lost a sale because they would not take a speaker off the stand and sell me the stand I wanted.The salesman would leave me to take care of other things instead of his customer. They did not offer to order the stand for me.I just left.

Great place for DJ equipment and lighting. The staff is extremely helpful. Do NOT be shy - ask any questions or concerns you may have and a staff member will try to find the answers. My experience renting gear was extremely smooth. I would definitely recommend Famous Stages for rentals.

Not honest with price match guarentee or return policy. Found same item direct from manufacturer online for 1/4 price. They would only give store credit after a large open box restocking fee.

Equipment available for Rent. Pretty good selection to choose from. Buy and pick up at the store, as opposed to several years ago when you purchased and picked up at two separate locations. Purchases come with 6mo warranty and a 30 day exchange. Highly recommend you check out this place first, beat buy and Frys didnt meet our needs...

Good place to rent (or buy) DJ gear, they have a huge selection. I like that all they do is sell stage and dj gear. No high pressure salesmen and prices are very good. I wanted some gaffers tape and this place had it for $4 less than guitar center. They also sell used used gear, which of course i am into. I think they sell gear theyve rented out for a bit. I spent way too much time here for someone who just wanted some gaffers tape.

Good value

Rented a small fog machine for a wedding. They were very helpful on assuring me that this was the item that would work for what we needed it for. They actually turned it on and demonstrated it for me in the store. Price was reasonable. $40 deposit and $40 to actually rent it.

Your go-to place for ALL (NOT SOME) AFFORDABLE music, lighting, and staging equipment purchases and if your on a budget they even have items for rent! The staff is very accommodating and ready to answer any questions you have! They will even teach you how to work your equipment so that you are ensured the right equipment for your project! We have been using them since 2006-7 when they were on 1960 (and still are) and wouldnt think of going anywhere else!....Honestly, I dont know why it took me this long to write a review..... and here it is 2017 but that just goes to show that theyre history supersedes them! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK it aint broke dont fix it!

Dont reserve stages and expect to get them. Twice in the last 6 months they have failed to meet my order even after reservations with a deposit. I rented 4 stages and 2 days before my event they called to cancel on me because they booked it for a larger party and didnt value my business. At the end of the day they got me 3 stages which was smaller than needed. And the pieces they gave me some of the legs did not lock in place. Stay away from these folks unless you want your events ruined.

Buy or rent this is definitely a place to check out. These guys are knowledgeable and their stock is diverse. They offer payment plans and will definitely help you out however they can.

Recently theyve upgraded and been having a bit more upper quality in dj lighting which is a great add on from their normal Chinese model stuff.Place is clean, handy and safe to walk with out any dangers in the way.

Ive been getting some sound and light equipment here since maybe 2010. Most of it is of decent quality for the extremely low prices. Many of the items are clearly knockoffs of major name brands, and sometimes there are issues... of the gear Ive bought, a Sennheiser-like wireless microphone with a bad internal connection, they replaced the microphone for a small fee. A JBL-like powered light-weight PA speaker with a tweeter that kept cutting out, I opened it up and found loose wiring that I fixed myself. A mini PAR LED light that wouldnt work, they replaced for free. But the majority of the gear Ive bought has worked well. Theyve always been nice and helpful in the showroom and the warehouse is pretty efficiently run. Id recommend them if you cant afford mid-to-high dollar gear but dont want to settle for Nady-quality junk. Just be sure to test anything you buy there before you take it to a gig.

This place is loaded with tons of gear at a reasonable price. I would have given them 5 Stars if they would be closer to town.

BE VERY, VERY CAREFUL WHEN RENTING FROM THESE PEOPLE…Without any warning, and arbitrarily, they canceled a rental order that I had placed over 2 MONTHS AGO and told me that they “didn’t want to continue doing business with me” THREE DAYS PRIOR TO MY EVENT.I am a customer-oriented event professional and I know the importance of building good customer relations, but apparently they don’t. I have been singing and DJing at private events such as weddings, birthday parties, and corporate events for more than 10 years. Occasionally, I rent from third party vendors specific equipment that my customers want and that I don’t have. In this case I rented from Famous Stages some moving heads and uplight equipment that I needed to complete a big wedding event, only to discover, the week of the event, that they would not be able to provide me with the rental items I had reserved over two months ago.I placed an online order on August and received a call from a representative (Veronica) letting me know that the quantity of items I had reserved exceeded their inventory (btw, the website will let you select any quantity of rental items and charge you for them when in reality their inventory is very, very limited). So after some adjustments I ended up with the final order. I called them two months later, on Monday, September 18th to corroborate that they would have all the items ready for me to pick up on Friday for my event on Saturday, Sept 23rd. After about 7 to 10 minutes on the phone with a representative named Adrian, he said he couldn’t find my order in the system and that it was probably due to the fact that it was placed over 2 months ago. I got really upset and was told that a supervisor would contact me later that day.The next day, the supervisor (Veronica) calls me and tells me that they had found the order but that out of the six moving heads I had rented they would only be able to provide me with two, and that also some other items I ordered were damaged on a previous rental and wouldn’t be available neither. All of this, with a very unapologetic and nasty attitude over the phone. I asked Veronica how they could do this to me only days away from my event but this questioning apparently infuriated her. Their solution: refund me my deposit of $244 and notify me via email that they would charge me 50% of the total value of the items ($1,95.59) if I wanted to continue with the order. A very nasty move! I immediately called them and asked to speak with a manager, so I talked to Ernesto. These were his brief words over the phone: “We have reviewed your order and decided that we no longer want to do business with you” and hung up the phone.So, rent from them AT YOUR OWN RISK and also expect ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RELIABILITY. These people have no business ethics and should not be allowed to do business at all.
