Southern Sound & Lighting did an excellent job last week at our GCIF event! They did sound, LED large stage screen presentation, lighting and virtual attendee experience, with zero error. The owner was very professional as well as everyone I worked with in the sound/lighting/video booth. We all worked very well together, as a team. It was my first time being part of an event in this role, and I can tell you, they didnt let me fail. It was a wonderful experience. I was happy that they were always willing to go above what was expected and to help me along the way. The owner was onsite the entire time, and actually working alongside his guys, which is unheard of. All of the guys were respectful and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone that is ready for a good, quality, smooth running event! Worth every penny! Thank you all for the outstanding work! Absolutely the best! Terry and his crew at Southern Sounds and Lighting are amazing and never disappoints when it comes to providing exceptional sound and lighting service for myevents, but it doesnt stop there. Although sound and lighting are in the name of the company, they continuously go the extra mile to ensure success by providing whatever is needed for your event. If you need something small for your audio and visual needs or if you are having a big production and need show stopping sound/ lighting with special effects, decor or more, this company is your one stop shop with total turnkey service, and always with a SMILE!!!

I rarely write reviews although I read use them to make decisions on patronage and expected experience. Im involved with the logistics side and have no fiduciary relationship with this company. I feel a review is warranted.My experience is vast in the entertainment industry and steeped in both very bad to exceptional experiences and I can say that Southern Sound & Lighting was incredibly helpful by keeping a fluid line of communication and being flexible logistically speaking. Dealing with Jake was pleasant and very helpful. Terry was accommodating and on point when orchestrating our involvement.Sadly, the industry isnt always as it has been and it was nice to deal with professionals for a change.

Horrible experience with this company and the owner is very unethical. We signed a contract paid over 12,000 for service up front. Upon conclusion of contract there were a few item unused totaling 384, which we discussed and he agreed to send a check for to refund. After several weeks we didn’t receive a check, when I called to inquire, he said he would give me a check, when I gave him one for additional services. When I asked what additional service he asked, “does a tele prompter run itself “, I told him no, but when we added a teleprompter we were told it was 60 and we already sent payment, he said they forgot to charge for that and laptops and a ton of other items totaling 3,000 plus dollars. I will never use them again.In response to your reply. Our contract stated and clearly noted we would arrive an hour ahead of time, and we never stayed late where we were not charged. In addition, the fact remains we never ordered anything additional. And there was was no communication that anything ordered was extra, until we requested a refund. We discussed it and you agreed that you never told us there were extras. You simply made this up in order to take money from a loyal client.Lastly, your team already emailed and apologized and agreed to refund us in full. I can only assume that since we have not heard back, that you are once again breaking an established agreement as you did when we discussed the additional charges that you you made up in the first place.

Great space for a large soundstage for filming production

Where do I start! I’ve been working Southern sound for 3 years for a yearly event and each year they provide BETTER quality. Terry and Andre’ are truly passionate about their craft. I would recommend them to anyone that needs sound, lighting, drape, anything for an event. The prices are more than fair. They are willing to work with your budget and still provide QUALITY service.
