The guys at the scales are friendly & knowledgeable. They are quick & efficient with their job, so if there happens to be a line, it allows moves at a nice steady pace. After you get your stuff weighed & sorted out, you go up to the front to get your money. The staff up front is also friendly, & they provide snacks, coffee, & cold water. They keep it clean & organized in the recycle yard & office. Top dollar for your scrap!Always a pleasure doing business with yall!

Absolutely amazing company. Requested a quote to scrap my car online and received an email confirmation that someone would be in touch soon. I received a call 25 minutes later, with full instructions on what would happen and a preferred collection time, the day after. After a quick confirmation phone call on the day, the team turned up and took care of the paperwork, payment and loading of the car. All done in a very friendly, cheerful and very efficient manner too. The entire staff is great! (From entry, to special areas, to the office) Everyone is friendly and incredibly helpful. They are always willing to educate you on how you can make more money recycling various metals,They earn all five stars because I feel they go above and beyond. For example, during the summer when the Texas heat can really make people cranky they remain friendly and helpful...by offering water while you wait for your paperwork to be processed.

This Place is Great! had a bunch of scrap metal all over the yard, i did not know how to get rid of it, called around to different recyclers, i was veryy disappointed, and then I called Houston Scrap Metal, the person that answered was very professional and accommodating, they arranged for all my scrap to be picked up and got paid.

FINALLY A SCRAP METAL RECYCLING PLACE OPEN ON SUNDAY!! My husband and I found this Hidden treasure and we couldnt be more pleased... Our first encounter was with Nick who was extremely courteous and informative. The girl working the scales was also very friendly. They got us in and out quickly and without problems. They have very competitive prices and awesome hours. I especially like the fact that the entire yard is covered in concrete that is easily cleaned and maintained so that you dont pop your tires on that yard. That takes extra thought about the customer if you ask me.

STILL WAITING on a credit Greg promised to give back weeks ago and, in reading the reviews, Im not the only one in these shoes. Do they actually answer the phone for anyone else? They have caller ID, and the only thing I can get after it rings is a really fast hold, please and then sent to an automated message that... wait for it... isnt accepting calls. This certainly doesnt seem to be the way to run a business, especially with customers who are too far away to walk in the door. BEWARE!!!!

I sold a Vehicle to Greg blair who owns this business for the parts and he wrote me a bad check for $400 dollars. I’ve tried to follow up with him about it for months and he is dodging my phone calls and not answering. He clearly knew what he was doing when he wrote the bad check with insufficient funds. I would not do business with them again. Lesson learned.

Jared was a huge help with finding some wheels I needed to help a customer . I can say over the years I have called on Big Leroys, and they have never disappointed me. If they didnt have what I needed they always helped try to find it. Thanks keep it up.

Lots of flood damaged parts and high prices. Theyre also the only people that charge a core charge in that area. Found my starter for half the price half a mile up the road.

One of their guys forced me to buy a damaged heat shield just because he spend time on removing one from a totaled car. He even used f word on me as I told him that Im not willing to buy a damaged item. So rude.
